Life, the universe, pies, hot-pink bunnies, world domination, and everything
shall we have actual real conversation this time?
I’ll start. What’s everyone doing this summer?
For starters, I’ll suspend the no-links rule long enough to tell you about an educational product I’m sure all MBers will love: cuddly toys based on germs.
Hey, cool, a new thread. I hate writing English esaays. Does anybody want to read part of one I’m writing right now? Btw, I think I got the first post.
2-O_kay.
HEY! If we have a new edition, my picture should be up there now!
Okay, I was wrong. This summer, I’m going to camp. CTY at Carlisle, on my birthday for the third year in a row. Other than that, I don’t know.
295- I don’t think that would work very well. Museblog is more of a message board though our format is actually a blog. The Gaboomba wasn’t a message board, though.
This summer I’m taking creative writing at MITY again! yay!
I’m going to a music festival. Which reminds me, I should practice now.
We hav a part five! We have a part five!! *sqwee*
*ahem*
GAPAs, are you going to leave the old picture up, or put mine back up? *hopes*
1-Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm………. Well, kokonvention in August, trip in August, trip in May, no camps.
1- We’re going to China, w00t!! I think I’ll take a picture of myself there and send it to Muse, they don’t really have any pictures from over there on the little map-thingy.
2- Oooooooh!! That’s the knid of toy I would have loved when I was little. Or now. Hee hee.
I have a stuffed E.Coli microbe! Yay!
And I made NAAAAAAATIONALS!
YES, FOLKS, I MADE NAAAAAAAAAATIONALS!
7- where’re you going? I’m going to a camp for six weeks in Ohio.
Okay, remember like two years ago when there was this article by PB on carvings in cathedrales? I actually saw some green men in germany, and i tried to sent the gapas photos, but my internet died before i got to send them. I’m gonna try again now.
Oh, i also have an improved hpb pic! its more pink. Its my profile pic on Deviantart.
2- LYK OMG!!! My friend has like three of those.
Slightly related: Uglydolls!
I have five!
MY THOUGHTS ON THE FRENCH ELECTIONS
Segolene Royal: She worries too much about appealing to women, and she’s far too soft on immigration and crime issues to win. However, she does support the sovereignty movement for Quebec, and that’s good. On the other hand, she got taken in by Gerard Dahan. And to that, I say wow. And has anyone noticed that she and her partner oppose each other any chance they can get? People, that’s not a coincidence. Oh, and did I mention HER BROTHER SUNK RAINBOW WARRIOR? Just a thought.
Nicolas Sarkozy: The “Karcher” comment was really, really stupid. Just stupid. I mean, the Karcher family doesn’t deserve that sort of crap from you. Or anyone. Also, the “tough on crime” thing is both direct competition with Segolene and an attempt to hide the fact that he’s a UMP puppet. But he did deal with the “Human Bomb.”
OTHER THINGS THAT AREN’T COINCIDENCES:
They both graduated from “Sciences-Po”
They also both concentrate on interior issues
They make parallel gaffes
Quick Question: Does anybody else here live in the southern New Hampshire area? Or am I the lone blogger [snipped geographic information slightly too specific for comfort. –Robert]?
Okay Penty and all ye (Jadestone and others) who write on the original (afareet) RRR. May I help? I really want to as I was sort of here even before it got started but I never wrote on it. I read the reference text and have read up to comment 50 on part three and I’m planing on finishing that and reading part four when I have time.
In response to comment 1: California the first week, camp from the 21st of June to July 16th, then circus camp (:D) for the rest of the summer. And maybe Canada around the 19.
All right. I just have to do this. It’s what I’ve been wanting for the past 2 months.
I’m sorry. I really, just had to do that. I won’t bother about the number of threads now for a long, long, long, long time.
I’d like MuseBloggers to think about this. It’s a post I made at the very end of part 4.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I’m not going to keep pushing for more random threads (and in that post I wasn’t really) and it might be a little nicer if there were very few posts, but they were long and meaningful.
But unfortunantly, the design of MuseBlog makes it very easy to pointless post. You don’t have to sign up, and you don’t have to re-enter your name and e-mail address every time you post.
The problem with MuseBlog is there are people who treat this like a message board, and people who treat this like a chatroom, so Museblog ends up somewhere inbetween in a muddled mess.
It depends: do we want this blog to be a message board, or a chatroom?
If we want this blog to be a chatroom, then we could do away with moderation and just have bots that block off posts with bad words and have administrators come in once in a while to make sure nobody’s saying bad stuff, and if they are they would be banned.
If we want this blog to be a message board, we could only have the GAPAs come in once a day, so there’d be much less moderation. We could also have a limit to how often you post, say a max of 30 messages per week or no posting within 20 minutes of youself. That could be frustrating to some people, but it would also cause them to pay more attention to what they post, as they had a limited number of posts to make.
Also, we could do both! That sounds like a very daunting idea, but it might not be. All the GAPAs would have to do was to re-open the Gamboomba message board, and then all the serious, long-posting Musers could go there, while the chat-roomy lots-of-little-posting Musers could post on MuseBlog. That way every body would be happy.
19-Do you feel emotionally satisfied now? Has your life been fulfilled? Does your existence now have meaning? Perhaps you feel a sense of purpose now?
[/sarcasm]
apols for snarks, i’m just rather annoyed at life in general right now.
12-nowhere in the columbus area, is it? cuz there’s a camp that i think it was PP went to right by where i live. i don’t think it’s a whole 6 weeks though, so probably not.
A state border is too specific? Since when?
21- A good idea, but I like the setup of MB. The chat-roomy people can post on the random threads, the serious people can post on the discussion threads, and the people like me (halfway between the two) can do whichever we feel like at the time.
In case you’re interested, here’s a breif history of how many Random Threads there were in each month since August 2005.
1) ♥ I’m going to Anime Expo June 29-July 2. Then it’s the midnight showing of The Order of the Phoenix, and after that the midnight release of The Deathly Hollows. We might go around the southwest this summer too, I don’t know. No camp this year though. Sigh. But you’re going to a creative writing class? That sounds really fun!
10) China! That sounds really fun too. XD
(21) The answer is: restraint. I’m not debating this. MuseBlog is not for posts about nothing, there are plenty of other places for that (though I wouldn’t suggest going to them. I hate chatrooms).
It’s not that big of a deal. There are a lot of threads to comment on here.
I’d like to participate in the RRR too…I should read the reference text…hurrrm.
12 *dies* I’m freaked out over 4 weeks. Vermont.
With nothing but my moms old win ’95 laptop, which can’t get the wireless internet and will only have a pathetic old freeware version of my composition software and word processing… AAAAHHH!!!! And it runs slooowly.
22- no, I think it’s in the Cleveland area, but I’m not sure. Music camp, I think for like ages 12 through college, not sure again.
22 – Yes. :guilty grin:
28- High school through grad school. I think I will be the youngest of my violin teacher’s students. I’m not technically old enough to go… hehe. But that rule seems to be easily broken, seeing as I got the acceptance email before they even received my CD. I think the CD is just for chamber music placement.
17- Actually, I didn’t write on it all that much. Just occasionally. You’re probably more caught up in the reading than me… actually, I should re-read it. I don’t think anyone would have a problem with you writing on it, though. You’re brilliant at writing. Same goes for Axa.
27 – What a torture! An entire month without MuseBlog?
2 (Robert) – cool! I like the Bookworm and E. Coli…they’re cool!
19 (E2MB) – wow, someone’s excited!
21 (E2MB) – I think MuseBlog as a chatroom would be suicide, and I like the message board idea. I don’t think a limit on posts should be made, though. But I think it’s good the way it is, as a message board type place thing.
25 (E2MB) – I made a graph of that a few months ago: https://musefanpage.com/blog/?p=720 posts #28 and #31.
I’m bored. I think I’ll make a fanpage devoted to one of my friends. Yesh, that’ll occupy some time.
33 – It counted # of posts, but not # of threads. But that graph is interesting too!
2- If I or anyone I know grows up to have children, I’m getting those for the child. And now I want a Black Death one. It’s just so cute!
21- MuseBlog should be a happy medium. I would want to be one of the long-post-people, but I am addicted to MuseBlog and couldn’t survive being tied to a post limit daily or weekly. I remember when I was new there weren’t these pointless post problems. We just need to act as politely as we did then. There are problems with newcomers not understanding the way we act here, too. I don’t know what to do about that.
I’m cranking out my science project the night before it’s due.
*frantically cuts and pastes assembled photos, charts, and text onto a peice of cardboard*
Is Star testing for CA only or for all the states?
GAPAs: Did you ever actually use the help they gave you here 1 1/2 years ago? https://musefanpage.com/blog/?p=29
Why do 15 year olds die of meningitis just when their life was turning out well?? Why?? Can you answer me that?
35 (E2MB) The graph in post #28 was the amount of posts on the random threads that month.
40 (FS) – what prompted that question?
41: Because Angela Parisi, last year in middle school, died yesterday morning after being in a meningitis induced coma for two days. I’m messagging, chatting and talking to various friends… I might go to the funeral today… Christ. Her birthday (and that of her twin brother-dammit) would have been wednesday… And Susy’s birthday is tomorrow.
41-He was saying that he was counting the NUMBER of threads and you were counting the number of posts.
(40, 42)
I’m sorry and saddened. At times like this there is not much comforting that anyone can say, but being with friends, either in person or electronically, does help.
All: FrigidSymphony mentioned first mentioned this yesterday on the Romance and Relationships thread.
44-Thanks to you or the GAPA who put my picture back up!
Thank you! *sends choykleet*
44: Thanks… It’s horrible… And I went out with her best friend on thursday, when she was put in the hospital… It killed her in two days… Poor Nina… She kept smiling and telling jokes, but I could tell she was really suffering… then she called the brother to find out what the situation was and found out that her brain was irrevocably damaged and that even if she came out of the coma, she’d be mentally retarded, so her parents oulled the plug yesterday morning. I haven’t seen Nina yet today, but I SMSed her before and she was talking like nothing was wrong… I can only imagine how much she’s suffering…
I demand the 1st of May given siginificance in the calendar as the most important pagan holiday!
46- Oh no… I’m really sorry. Someone at my school died of cancer eariler this year, and I didn’t really know him so it wasn’t to bad for me, but I can only imagine how it must be for you…
A junior at my sister’s high school fell through a skylight and died. Two days ago, the father of a seventh grader at my school was killed in a car crash.
Stuff happens, Fridgey. I’m sorry.
46- I’m sooo sorry… should I hug you?
A guy in my school had cancer last year, but he didn’t die.
And I’m a complete hypochondriac, so, yeah.
5- I am going to the CTY @Carlisle too! YAY! What grade are you in and what class are you taking?
I’m really sorry, FS. I never know what to do when people say things like this, because I’ve never really felt it before. Death is so… weird to me. I always see it from a distance, And whenever I think of people I know dying, it scares me. So I don’t really know what you’re feeling. I can’t really say anything helpful, just shallow stuff.
46- I feel so sorry for you. I’ve never experienced anything like that, but I know it must be horrible.
47 – What Pagan hoilday would that be?
46: I’m really sorry, Fridgey. I just don’t know what to say, but I feel bad for you and her friends and family.
51- I’m taking Cryptography(or Cryptology, I can’t remember what it’s called). I’m in 9th grade, and I’ll be going second session. I’ll turn 15 during the first week of camp!
I’m sorry, FrigidSymphony.
46-I am so sorry! That’s really sad!
1- Work, hospital volunteering, getting ready for the college admission process next year, hopefully LARPing, and avoiding the sun like I’m a vampire.
21- Or we could keep is as so. It’s been working for over a year, and quite well at that…
25- I could have sworn we got six sometime last year…
FS- O_O how horrid : / My condolences. I really dunno what else to say to that…
47- May Day?
Ugh, it’s nearly May. I want to go to sleep for the rest of the school year. I’ll probably be gone most of the first half of May, due to a large amount of AP practice stuff. Meh.
In other news, I have to clean my room today. You can barely see the floor, and stuff falls out when the closet is opened. Oh, joy.
Hm, I want to include something else in this post…
Thoughts on The Scarlet Letter?
Okay, but too drawn out. And please stop calling Pearl the “elf child” or something like that. Meh, but I don’t have an opinion on the book itself, though Hawthorne tends to annoy me. Must be the Puritanism. Ugh.
59 – I might read that book when I’m older. My parents told me the plot.
I once heard this really awful joke at school:
“The way you tell how good a party is is how many scarlet letters are handed out.”
Who comes up with that stuff!?!?
56- I am in 8th grade, and I am taking Etymology at 2nd session. I took the cryptology course last year at an almost identical camp in MO. I was going to take it here, but they had the exact same course description.
thanks all…
The pagan holiday is none other than the spring equinox. The Christian religion came up with a story about a saint and redubbed it Walpurgisnacht, just so that the converted pagans could still worship on the same day.
Well darn, i was just about to complain about how i can no longer eat chicken, turkey, gluten (basically bread and pasta), or chips but after fridgey’s post that doesn’t seem so bad. fridgey, i’m really sorry, and don’t know what else there is to say. that’s terrible.
but yeah, i can’t eat listed above because i have low thyroid or something. but mater promised she’d get me two books for the two ears i got wax flushed out of and the two holes on my arms where they drew blood for fun testy stuff (she missed the vein the first time…(?!?)) So that’ll be good.
OH and i finally went and got the little driving book thingy so i can get my temps. well, after i read it/take the tests. so far it looks just about as informative as i thought it would be (Red means stop, kiddies! Don’t take left turns when you can’t see!) but parentales say i have to read it first anyway.
60-why not now? come to think of it, i should read that too. i don’t think i ever have. but i’m reading like ten books at once now (not exaggerating) so it might have to wait
42- I’m really sorry. *hugs* I don’t know what else to say, really, but I’ll be thinking of you and her family and friends.
49- I think someone I know from camp goes to that high school. I don’t know is she knows your sister, or the girl who fell through the skylight or not but I did hear about it.
47, 54 – Beltane, right?
50- my brother had cancer ages ago (my fifth grade year) He’s fine now. I can’t really imagine what FS is going through right now. *more hugs to FrigidSymphony*
(42) Oh man…I’m so sorry FS. That’s so sudden too…I can’t really say anything that helps but know that she’s in my thoughts, and her family too.
There’s not really that much to say… So I’m going out now to get drunk, hopefully that’ll improve things.
42-Im so sorry! I’ve been to tons of my relatives funerals, including my Godmother who died of cancer and a good friend who died in a car accident. But the closest it ever got was when my dog died, and that was years ago.
Whoops, sorry I meant Beavo the Great, LeafLord is gone
I’m so sorry, FS!
THF had meningitis, but it was viral so she was okay. That’s really sad, though…
i feel all sad now. sniifle.
If you wanna start a new happy subject, could we talk about…ooh! How about pets?
2: Awesome! I like the Bioluminescent Sea Sparkle Giant Microbe.
15: Do you live in France, or are you just interested in it? Sorry for being ignorant.
28: cool. I live in the cleveland area, but I can’t think of any music camps around here, only arts ones.
:’-( Aw, FS! I’ll be thinking of her and those who knew her!
60- Heehee, I find that joke amusing.
66- I’m hoping that’s a joke.
So I clean my room when the spirit strikes, right? And I tell mum I’m probably do it this weekend, but ask her not to bug me about it because if she does the motivation will DIE. Seriously, if I feel like I’m doing something because someone wants me too or because, I dunno, something I like and would do ANYWAY depends on it, I tend to just be like “[profanity] that!”
So what does she do? She hasn’t shut up about it all bloody day. I intend to do it later tonight, from about seven until nine, but if she says another bloody word, I’m afraid I shan’t be doing so. *fuming* [profanity]
54- May Day, which is going to keep me off of Museblog on May 1st. I do Morris Dancing, and I’m going to be out all day. I get off school, though!
(73) Cool. How long have you been doing that? How did you get involved?
73- Haha, I was just going to ask if anyone here was going to do that! I earlier this year learned about Morris Dancing, I’ve been wanting to learn how.
Ahg. Just spent all moening at a car wash to raise money for band. Am terribly, horidly sunburned. Ahhhhhg, didn’t even realize I might need sunscren. And now I have a farmers tan but it’s bright red. Grr.
Whoa. I just picked up Scholastic’s Book of lists, and it states Muse is the 12th most popular kid’s magazine in the United States! w00t for Muse!
btw, the top 3 were American Girl, Boy’s Life, and Calliope.
Extra coolness: that list was in the section “pop culture”.
46- I’m so sorry Fridgy! Death always seems so iniquitous when it happens to the young. Do be careful about getting drunk though.
63- Uhg.
What’s happening? My comment was moved up to above E2MB’s comment, and it’s still awaiting moderation. I know that it happened in the Great Pie Wars, but it could have just been someone writing it themselves. Can anyone see the comment beginning with “The GAPAs can zap it if they feel the need,”?
Where are people like Artemis Fowl II, Blue Muse, and Beach? I was just looking at Who’s Here, and saw them.
25-Ah, yes…I remember October…we tried to make it to 6, but ust couldn’t quite do it…
66-Damn you…getting drunk is no way to solve problems!!! You don’t even know why I feel this way, but I’ll give y–never mind…just don’t do it, Elias…I can’t stand the thought of you hurting yourself like that…:sad:
72-Trust me…it’s not.
It’s gone. I’ll try again, but I don’t think that it’ll work. Search for Millstone River Morris.
66- How old are you?
I can’t believe that I’m doing this on a triple post. I’m still waiting to become part of the PoPoPo, but it seems that R-t H has forgotten.
66-getting drunk is only temporary help. very temporary. you shouldn’t. but you probably already know that, so whatever.
i am wet. very wet. XD we were at cup o joe and were going to go to MC’s and watch scary movies but it started raining so we didn’t, but i had left my bike at his place (we had been playing capture the flag at the park right by his house) and he was walking home so we walked back there and got all wet and then i rode home and got all wet. the rest were losers and got a ride because it was thundering. and lightning. but lightning is shiny, as i pointed out to them. they weren’t too impressed.
yay for lightning!
83-k you’re in the PoPoPo. it doesn’t really matter, you just have to declare yourself in it and you are. Or you can even just act PoPoPoish and people will assume you’re in it. It’s a very open society. only requirement is hating pointless posts.
k i’m off to go read my ten billion books. instead of doing my AP notes like i should. but oh well.
Well, in that case…
*goes off the Jadestone and Glassboro Planning Thread*
82 – FS is older than 15, which is how old you need to be to drink that stuff in Switzerland.
Tee hee. The people we’re having over for dinner brought Ben & Jerry’s ice cream. The flavor? Vermonty Python. It’s soooo good.
87 – OOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHH ben & jerry’s ice cream is soooooooo scrumpdilylicious!
Random: did you know that the ben on the ben & jerry’s title died of a heart attack, which could’ve been caused by eating too much of his own product!
Did the last GAPA go to bed?
72- my parents tend to do that too. It is rather annoying especially since I might have actually wanted to clean it before they mentioned it.
72 (SM) – oh no! I hate it when ze parental people do that. My room is almost always a disaster, except when we have “guests,” because my room is the guest room.
73 (Glassboro) – That sounds awesome! What kinds of things do you do?
75 (Jadestone) – I hate when that happens…I burn really easily, so I put sunscreen on every time I go outside in the sun, but when I forget, I always regret it…
83 (Glassboro) – you can join the PoPoPo anytime you want! *welcomes glassboro into the PoPoPo Squad*
84 (Ebeth) – Yay books!!!
87 (Julieb) – That sounds awesome! What does it taste like?
89 (E2MB) – apparently not!
Kiki the great- I had a dream that I was talking on the phone with you last night while trying to paint my shoes. The conversation went like this:
Me: Hi!
Kiki: …
Me: What are you doing?
Kiki: Nothing.
Me: How are you?
Kiki: I’m fine, you?
Me: Great!
Kiki:…
Me:…
Kiki: Well, bye.
Me: Bye
Yah. It was weird.
86- Nobody should get drunk for any reason. It’s a burden on our world. Just look at the VT shootings. That guy just as well could have been drinking.
93: He was mentally disturbed. He thought he had a girlfriend named Jelly who modeled on Jupiter. It had nothing to do with alcohol.
Comments like these are a tad bit unrealistic. People are going to drink / get drunk no matter what you do. It is best to educate children about the dangers of drinking and repeat those lessons through adolescence, rather than simply say “drinking is bad” because that will make them curious about it…
88- Umm, both Ben and Jerry are still alive.
91- Euphoric, as the carton describes. It’s coffee liquer with chocolate cookie crumb swirl and little chocolate cows. Yum.
So, I was in this play called Quark Victory, you know? And the theater company (Mudlark) did this other play that overlapped with my Guys and Dolls. What it was was the Mudlarkers got to write their OWN PLAY. ANd I went to see it last night and it was OMGY HILARIOUS!!
The first play was called the Great Waffle Caper. There is this place called the Waffle Emporium, owned by Mr. Lester. But SOMEONE KILLED MR. LESTER!!! The possible suspects are: Robert, the assistant manager: Maybe he wanted to own the Waffle Emporium! The robot and the werewolf: They live in the WE, so maybe they thought they deserved to own it! Riley: the second-in-command waffle chef, and… Olga, the mayor: the WE is the last independently owned business in town, so Olga might have killed Mr. Lester to take over the Waffle Emporium! Hilariousness ensues.
The second play was called A Reincarnation of Comedic Philosophy Relating to Six Writers and the Horrible Karma of a Boy (a.k.a. A Play). I can’t even explain this one, it was soo funny. I ended up dying of laughter. Really. AND T HEY QUOTED MONTY PYTHON!! And there was a MUSICAL FIGHT SCENE at the end! and they did THRILLER!! :D:D:D:D
I am here. I like cheese
80-Dont be so hard on FS. Yeah, I aggree about not getting drunk and all, but I think (hope) it was sarcasam. And even if it was’nt, he still had some rough waters to go through. Be nice.
And now I feel like a sentimental idiot. NO, I am not feeling depressed!!! *sob*
84-HI WET!!!
92-Do you even know Kiki? Isnt that her pic in MuseMail??
93-Not even if beer tastes good?
95-Ben and Jerry are still alive?? REALLY?
97-I predict a visit from the PoPoPo in the near future. And a loss of Virtual Choklit.
98-I’m not going to be easy on him! Look at this thread: https://musefanpage.com/blog/?p=641, and find the comment near the beginning where I mention my mom…then you’ll understand why I feel the way that I do.
It was post 19, to make it easier.
I was posting so much during Spring Break but now that schools started again Im posting a lot less. This is just an excuse for my inactivity, i will probably post more during summer.
99-Its true drinking is bad. Its true that it damages all sorts of things in your body and makes all your friends/relatives mad but I think FS was kidding, and even if he was’nt, you have to be nice. Use a carrot instead of a stick. Although I am sorry for your mom. My parents are in their 50s and described the feeling of some drungs that they took like LSD and Mary Jane. They said it felt good then, but they really feel bad now.
I still feel really akward.
Does anyone remember the one thread where we posted what we thought other people looked like based on their names? (not the word association thread) Could anyone point me to it?
103-I don’t remember it, so either I had a bad memory or it was before september 06.
102-So are mine…and my mom just stopped being an alcoholic of at least 15 years about half a year ago.
105-My mom was a hippe and she smoked since she was 14 and her sister (my aunt) was almost ALWAYS high on something. Aunt Betsy still has trips from all the LSD sometimes. Its so disgusting.
103-i remember that…that was a while ago. i may look it up in a bit, but i’m doing about five things at once
Is anybody who did nano (or anybody who wishes they did :D) doing the script frenzy thing in june? i might but idk if i’ll be on vacation or something
106: Not all hippies smoke or do drugs…alot of them hate tobacco because of what it does to the body. I’m labeled as a hippie sometimes, because of my vegetarianism, peacenikism, and stands on animal rights, and I don’t smoke or do drugs.
Wow, i haven’t been here in ages. My sincerest condolences for you, FS. It is not only sad but frustrating when someone so young dies.
103: I have a vague memory of that thread. I tried searching for it, but i didn’t find anything relavent. It was probably sometime near the beginning of last year that it was new.
*virtual hug*
Sorry, FS. That probably didn’t help much, did it?
92 (Cappy) – Weird dreams are fun! Except when they’re scary. I once had a really weird dream that took place at the orthodontist and I think it scarred me for life!
96 (Kiki) – That sounds like fun! Waffle Emporium is the coolest name ever. It’s like Eeylops Owl Emporium from Harry Potter. I guess I just like the word “Emporium.”
97 (Cheese) – are you new? If you are (and even if you aren’t), *pies.* Head over to the Newcomers thread (if you haven’t already) and be sure to read the rules and the HG2MB!
101 (FantasyFan) – nice to see you again! How is school? Did you have a good spring break?
103 (e~a) – I do remember that! Everyone thought THF and I were Asian…which I can understand, since she has Taiwan in her name, and I have Panda in my name. I think people talked about it a little bit on the picture of us on Halloween (“Halloween Picture,”) but I think that was only a few comments. I bet the GAPAs could help, though. Tell us when/if you find it!
97 – Hi there Radioactive Cheese! I like cheese too, but don’t worry I won’t eat you! And you have to be careful with a craving like that because some might call you a cannibal.
111 – Radioactive Cheese is relatively knew, but he/she has appeared a few times before on April Showers, Part 3.
~~~Anouncement~~~
I am shortening my name to just TNÖ due to a request on the Pie Isle thread. And also because that’s all anyone (including me) ever bothers to call me anymore.
:idea:TNÖ:idea:
FS – Sincere sympathy. Meningitis nearly got me when I was about 12, so your news made a particular impact.
Alas, kids die sometimes. We all understand that intellectually, but when it’s someone you know, the abstract concept becomes horribly real.
There’s not much you can do, except be available if the family needs a friend. You’ll need your friends too. There isn’t a painless way of dealing with it, but talking helps. So does playing music. It’s a displacement activity, of course, but it’s often effective, and largely without side effects. The temptation to sink into temporary alcohol-induced oblivion is a mistake. It helps for a few hours, but usually makes things worse later. Not that I’d condemn anyone for taking the easy option when something like that hits.
Meanwhile, I’m feeling very fortunate right now. Let’s all celebrate the fact that we have lives, and try to do something interesting and worthwhile with them. There’s always that nasty little possiblility that they could be shorter than we think.
PB&J.
108-Yeah, I know they dont ALL do drugs, but a whole bunch of them did. Its all very gross.
Radioactive Cheese, I like cheese too, but if you’re radioactive I have to be a little carfull around you. lol
114 – That’s something that always scares me. What if I was to die tomorrow? Would I be happy with me life?
mY life?
114- *sniff* Yeah. Lets celebrate our lives. *celebrates*
Actually, I pretty much have no life at this point…well…that’s not entirely true, but it’s so messed up, I almost wish I didn’t.
119: Don’t say that!
119 – Let me quote Calvin & Hobbes:
Panel 1
Calvin, waiting for the school bus: Grrr. I hate life.
Panel 2
Calvin: I hate homework! I hate my mom! I hate everything! I wish I was DEAD!!!
Panel 3
Calvin: Well actually I don’t…not really.
Panel 4
Calvin: I wish EVERYONE ELSE was dead.
Hee hee Calvin & Hobbes is soooooooooo funny!
121- and Calvin and Hobbes usually is philosophical too. calvin and hobbes = ♥
Y’know, I advise everyone on the blog not to get a cavity down to the pulp of the nerve, then have it filled, then get their wisdom tooth bumping against the filled tooth as it comes in, then get an infection in the root of that same tooth. At the same time. It hurts. but oh well.
121+122- heck yes! Me ♥ Calvin and Hobbes
123 – Owwwwwwww!!! Me has never had cavity in whole life. Yesses, me lucky. Me know not to drink soda. Soda bad. Bad for teeth.
Did you know if you roll your mouse over a smiley it tells you how to make it? Try it out!
8)
:roll::!::?:
Doesn’t work for me
Nor me. I have to get four teeth out in a week or two.
113- Wait, who are you?
119- *hugs and choklit*
121- LAWLS.
I’m home sick today. I was feeling miserable this morning [slight fever, too], but mum bullied me into taking some medicine, and now, physically, I’m fine, but I feel bad for missing school. I hate when this happens >_
Don’t worry people, I didn’t get drunk… not enough beer available, only had two bottles (one bottle being half a liter with a 4.5% alcohol rate). Not enough to even dent my lucidity, much to my subsequent relief.
Sincere apologies to anyone who has suffered alcohol-related problems. Like anything else, overdoing it is not good. I like beer, and alcohol loosens up people’s inhibitions and makes for lively parties, but just remember not to tip the balance…
126 – Really? Hold it over a few seconds. Sometimes it takes a while.
Anyway,
130- Oh Em Gee. I thought there was something weird about it… *hysterical breakdown*
*nearly fines E2MB 4 pieces of choklit, but remembers that this is the random thread*
130- OMG!!!! I noticed too! PICKET SIGN TIME!!!!!
*dies* ….mile….run…today….
I got 9:25. And then I almost passed out. *heave* ehehhh…
122- Ditto.
131 – Finally there’s someone who feels like me!
132 – Stop doing that! That was not a pointless post! You can’t fine me for it!
It was pointless. I didn’t on this thread, but on all of the others it was completely unrelated, therefore you were punished.
130- Ahhhg! Noooooo!
Meh. Life is odd. A guy I don’t know from my math class had chemotherapy today. Another is supposed to be getting back soon. Several guys shaved their heads. I would do that f one of my friends had cancer, I think.
137 – People needed to know!
To all comments in reply to post 119–Thanks, guys…I’m somewhat better, now, though, as I found out that one of the things that was making me so depressed was just a big joke…grr…
129-It makes me feel better to know that you didn’t get too drunk…and to know that you know not to go overboard. *wan smile*
125 – It didn’t work for me, either.
I’m really depressed right now…one of my friends was just diagnosed with Leukemia. So I’m making her paper cranes, for good luck.
I get really annoyed when people joke about cancer. This kid always shaves his head, and he was joking, “Oh, I have testicular cancer, hahahaha.” My dad had testicular cancer when I was a baby… The guy said that in the beginning of the school year but I’m still annoyed.
142-I don’t blame you…two people very close to me have died because of cancer. One (my grandpa) had bladder cancer, and the other (Mrs. Line, my Improv teacher who might as well have been my aunt) had leukemia…it’s sad.
142, 143- I hate it when people joke about cripples. This girl messed up her ankle when she did the pacer in PE and sat in a wheelchair for the rest of the day. These two jerks were in science class pointing at her and I heard one of them say “Look at her, she’s a cripple now” and they both started laughing. My mom got polio when she was 2 and lost the use of her left leg. She has a brace, so she can walk and stand up. But I told those two jerks off in front of the whole class, and the teacher too. I was almost screaming at them and then the teacher came over and made me shut up, but I didnt go to the dean and they did. I guess she thought I was right. Im always right. lol
141- :’ ( ohnoes. *showers in 1000 paper cranes*
142-143-144- Ugh, it’s all so disrespectful! High-fives to Beavo.
I really don’t want to go to school tomorrow. I think it’s AP anxiety.
My zayde died of cancer. and my uncle. cancer be not good.
Do the GAPAs stay up until midnight on days like this, starting all the new monthly threads at the stroke of 12 to ensure that there won’t be any posts from that month on the previous month’s monthly threads?
We didn’t get to E2MB’s goal of another thread. And I never got around to entering the contest. Or sending the GAPAs something for the new random thread tomorrow. /
Do you have something already GAPAs? I hope you have something.
*is sad because he has left the GAPAs with no picture*
Hullo people!
144- sure you’re always right. Sure… nice, though. Yelling at those guys I mean. ^_^
142, 143, 144- Grr, I hate that kind of poeple! My mom’s an ocupational therapist, and sometimes on days when our school is off but the school she works at isn’t, I go with her and help out and stuff. The people she works with rarely have mental disabilities, just physical ones! But everyone thinks of them as retarded (not intended as insult the way I used it; but by them it is). I got so anoyed about it last year, for a social studies test we had last year one of the questions had something to do with the disabilities act, and I filled up the alloted space, the back of the test, and one side of another peice of a paper with an almost rant about it. Grr…
145-*High-Five’s back* Thanks yall.
149-I’m always right, and even when I’m wrong, I’m right. They were jerks in the first place. Talking about jerks, they’re also racist. We had a sub math teacher who was Indian and they were whispering something along the lines of “Oh My Gawd its a terrorist. We should warn the dean. Call 911 on your phone. Yeah I know!”
150-There’s this girl I have in a lot of my classes, and she looks like a retard. And lots of people think she’s retarded and make fun of her because she’s in a wheelchair and can hardly move. But what they dont know, is she’s in all honors, and she’s in my Gifted and Talented (Spectrum) class. She’s really smart. She has all A’s on her report card. Which is more than I can say.
Ha…danny’s away message was “chem hw, don’t bother me or i’ll sing you a song about the cold war and poodles” this intrigued me, so i left an IM saying “that sounds interesting *poke*” He called me about 15 min later and started singing the song and then launched into his conspiracy theory about how the communist poodles actually rose up and won (with kimmy, his dog, at their head) but then something happened that i forgot. but it was pretty funny. especially since i didn’t know who it was until about halfway through the song. i was just like “um…um…ok….”
k just thought i’d share. funny story time wins at life.
i remembered why i don’t listen to the radio…there’s this freaking annoying guy called john tesh who keeps telling me how to live my life and not playing any freaking SONGS. And he says stupid stuff like “eat healthy!” yeah, like we haven’t heard that ten million times. either that or it’s something really random that doesn’t apply to me.
anyhoo, i’m gonna go fill out some more fun email quizzy things instead of doing my hw *furtively glances at AP book* did i spell that right? Probably not. oh well. bye all.
harrghhh bleh.
152- I like the radio! Espeshully PHC. And Cartalk. And the fun station that we always listen to at breakfast that has that guy w/ the really deep, relaxing voice and the classical music. Never heard of John Tesh…. hrm.
152- Most kids these days do their best writing on their away messages. *sigh*
152-Cartalk is pwnsome!!!! My fave has to be HOTT 99.5.
teehee. At school today, I started talking to these girls in my class and we started talking about the economy so I started talking about the recent-est Muse. Then one of them says, “Muse is stupid. My mom got it for me and I just throw it in the closet”. Then another one says, ” My mom got it for me caz she wants me to learn about science. I hate it. I never read it”. So then I said, “Muse isn’t just about science. Its about the universe and pie-throwing and hot pink bunnies”. Then they all looked at me strangely and walked away. I don’t talk to many people at school anymore. I just sit at reacess and read.
152-Where do you live? Are you talking about Magic 105.1?
155-Muse?? WHO READS MUSE??? Muse is for weirdoes. Weirdoes and nerds. Gawd.
lol

Speaking of sitting and reading and not talking to people in my class, today one of pur english-class vocab words was “introvert”. My teacher asked for examples. One by one, everyone started listing my qualities. “doesn’t come to any of the school dances” “doesn’t socialize at recess” “never comes to sleepovers or birthday parties” ……..
I am NOT an introvert. I have good friends. In fact, I have four. PLus I have all you MBers. S’not my fault if all the people in my school are mean…… sheesh……*stalks off muttering to self*…..
I like NPR.
That’s pretty much it.
My grandfather died last year of lung cancer. It’s weird though since he never smoked or had anyone around him who smoked.
whoops….double-ish post. Sorry.
A bit belated, but I was at OMGSTATE so you’ll have to excuse me.
re:Fridgey: I’m sorry. The blog’s got your back when stuff like this happens. I won’t talk about when people close to me have died, because I don’t think it would help much, and I find death something very personal that we all deal with differently.
141 (PP)- Oh, I hope she gets through it okay. I’ll say the same thing to you as I said to Fridgey: the blog’s got your back. Good luck to both of you, and if I could make paper cranes I would.
148 (RTH)- Time to bust out PixelKoko! Who I technically haven’t made yet but shall certainly start as soon as I get around to extra-blogular procrastinating.
153 (Kiki)- WFMT? Carl Grapentine is like…awesome. Even if I don’t actually remember his last name.
My away messages suck.
157 – I herby declare you banished from MuseBlog. lol
96-it’s 93.3. i live near columbus, OH.
158-aww. i was an introvert in elementary skool (excepting fourth grade, which ROCKED) simply because everybody seemed so unintelligent, then i was an introvert in middle skool (excepting eighth grade, which also ROCKED) simply because everybody seemed so immature (that seems new, doesn’t it, me complaining about immaturity ). But high skool’s good times.
People’ll catch up with you. It’s good times.
Ha, ck just reminded me it’s a late day tomorrow YEEEESSSS. That means A-i don’t have to go in until 9, B-shortened periods, so we probably won’t get much time to go over 39, much less check it after the 38 quiz (i’ll probably get about half done, but not the whole thing tonight…) and C-i get to SLEEP IN!
The Who wins at life. *sings Girl’s Eyes*
