Clueless newbies, step right up! We’ll make you feel at home, with a hearty virtual handshake and a warm virtual pie smack-dab in the middle of your physiognomy. (Don’t ask why. It is our way.)
Please read The Rules. You might also glance at The HG2MB (Hitchhiker’s Guide to MuseBlog).
*PIES ALL NEWBIES 1_MILLION_TIMES!!!*
Instructions for all newcomers.
Read the Rules.
Read the HG2MB.
Go to the Pie isle thread and join our forces there.
Stand still and look this way….
I wonder if I should post this here.
Notice to all:
I’m trying a little experiment. I am not actually a new blogger. I am the alter ego of one of the bloggers that is here already. Can anybody guess who I am?
If you want to guess who I am, here is one hint: PGNF stands for Punk, Goth, Nerd, Freak.
I don’t know who is a punk, goth, nerd, or freak. I mostly go on the writing threads.
I wonder how many newbies actually come here? I know I didn’t when I was a newbie.
Here’s another hint
https://musefanpage.com/blog/?p=821
This goes along with my first hint.
Ok, I’m a semi-newbie, but I think I’ve learned somethings…
1. Dont go OHH FIRST POST FIRST POST OMG OMG *runs around screaming first post* (because you usually are’nt.
1. No PoPoPoing. Cept on the random threads each month.
1. You can double post as long as you provide an explanation (I did’nt see the last post) or something like that. Try to avoid it though.
1. Dont bother FS.
You’re RavenHawk.
Here’s my list of stuff I always post here. Newbies, READ IT ALL! *pies happily*
Welcome, everyone! *pies* I’ll post my MuseBlog overview thing I wrote a while ago.
MuseBlog is, as the title suggests, a place where “musers mingle,” and talk about “stuff.” We talk about things in the magazine, and other random things. Every few days there will be a new thread where we can all discuss.
The awesome amazing GAPAs (Great and Powerful Administrators) (or OEADS) (or MAP), who moderate every post before it is shown here. They are: Rosanne Spector, Robert Coontz, Paul Baker, and Rebecca Lasley.
Musers can’t post pictures on the blog, but if you would like a picture to be shown on the blog, you can email it to the GAPAs and they can put it on for you (if they choose to). The January Jubilee thread, part 2 had a lot of pictures of muses that people carved out of soap, and all those pictures were sent to the GAPAs before they were put on the website.
The best way to find out what’s going on here, I think, is to just look around. Read other things on the fan page, read previous threads, etc.
Welcome! *pies*
CTTTTHMV (Common Thread Type Things That Have Many Versions):
–Random threads. Every month there is a new random thread. This month’s thread is called “January Jubilee.” It always shows up at the top of the page when you first come to MuseBlog, and it has a picture with it. The random thread usually has many versions (part 1, part 2, part 3, etc.) I actually made a graph of all the random threads, now that I think of it. Maybe I’ll send it to the GAPAs. Well, anyway, the random threads are random, because no muser could live without a random thread. (Well, we could. no, wait. maybe. Um, hmm. I think I’m just confuzzling myself).
-Discussion threads: Discussion threads were created last year, as an alternative to the random thread. Some musers were getting agitated about the random thread, and how nobody could keep a discussion. So we created discussion threads, (morphing chameleon threads), where we would talk about something, and you had to talk about that thing, not go off on some thing saying, “OMGFIRSTPOSTKEWLIHADAGOODDAYINSKOOLTODAY” Discussion threads sometimes have different versions, but usually there aren’t very many.
-Muse Roll Call/Discussion: Every month, there is a muse roll call and a discussion on that issue of muse. There aren’t (usually) different parts of that, but they occur every month.
-Pie Wars: The continuing pie war never ceases, and every once and awhile there is a new thread for it.
-RRRs: Round Robin ‘Riting is a thread where one person writes part of a story, then another person writes the next part, then another person writes the next part, etc. They’re really fun (although I can never get around to doing it because of stupid homework), and the finished products are really cool.
-Birthday Threads: Every month, there is a birthday thread were every wishes a happy birthday to all musers who have birthdays that month. On the day of each person’s birthday, there is also a thread telling everyone to go to the birthday thread to wish everyone a happy birthday. It’s a museblog tradition to wear the person’s favorite color on their birthday.
-Writing/Reading: There are always Writing, Reading, Poetry, Songs, etc. threads floating around the blog. Musers like literature.
-Money-related: Whenever there are muses for sale on Ebay or there is information about the muser-loves-company store, there is usually a thread about it.
Here are some other blog-survival tips posted by other people:
Rebecca Lasley on March 11, 2007:
Be aware that the “What’s Here” thread takes a while to load. Once you’ve survived the wait, you can copy and paste the whole list into Word or any other document type that will preserve the links. Then you’ll be able to access the same information much more quickly, plus add notes or highlight the threads you want to find again.
You can link directly to your comment by adding it to the end of the URL in this format:

Newbs advising newbs. Oh joy. I’m not exactly old here(7.5 months), but this sounds like a bad idea.
Things you should be aware of (I don’t know if anyone else already posted some version of these, but the advisors don’t seem to be following them):
Etiquette:
Please say something in a post. Posts should not consist of “FIRST POST!!!1!!!111!!!!ELEVEN!!!!!1!!!” or your equivalent thereof. That includes posts that consist of “:) *pie*”. And ones that consist of “hello? is anyone there?” See General Information for details on that last one.
Try to stay on topic. On the Religion thread, “I like chocolate” will end very badly. On random threads, this is more allowed, but unless you have something new to say, the guideline is, don’t. For discussion/chameleon threads, try to post as if it were a thread on the topic currently being discussed.
General Information:
MUSEBLOG IS NOT A CHATROOM!!!! Posts are moderated by a GAPA before others can see them. You may have to wait.
If you put writing after a less than sign (). The one I made was safe because I used the code for them (& lt; but remove the space between the ampersand and the rest)
You should know everything else I’d put here, because before you posted, you read the HG2MB. Right? Go read it.
MuseBlog should be a fun place for all. Remember: we’re all Musers here.

RRR- abbr. Round Robin ‘Riting See.
Round Robin ‘Riting- n. A Museblog tradition in which Musers take turns writing installments of a story.
Pie War- n. A virtual war conducted with baked goods. Common on MuseBlog.

Great and Powerful Administrators- n. Those whose duty it is to moderate the posts on the blog and create new threads. They speak in italics and have their names in green.
Choklit- n. An intentional misspelling of CHOCOLATE.
PoPoPo- abbr. Pointless Posts Police.
Pointless Posts Police- Musers who have taken upon themselves the duty of detecting and punishing pointless posts such as “OMGSQUEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(!!! x ∞). If you post something pointless, you may be fined choklit or be banned from the random thread.
Random thread- n. A thread for random topics.
Incredible Morphing Chameleon Thread- n. Like the random thread, but with more attention paid to continuity and grammar.

Things not to do:
1. Post pointless things. You will be sought out by the Pointless Post Police.
2. Request a lot of different threads constantly. It gets annoying. Not to discourage requesting threads, but try some existing ones first.
3. Disclosing personal information regarding identity or location. It’s a no no.
4. Cursing. Don’t do it.
5. Flame wars(i.e. getting into a long fight with someone and ending up personally insulting them)

To all the newbies
Papai pronounced (Puh-PIE) A super pie of museblogger form made to save time by combining two pies instead of just throwing one after the other. Basically, it’s a double pie-Filled with any sort of flavorful filling you choose. The more flavor-The more POWERFUL!!!

Ok. To new MBers (MBers means Muse Bloggers):
Squee! Is an exclamation of joy or excitement.
w00t is the equivalent of ‘yay’ or ‘yippee’.
We use pie as a verb. You have probably noticed.
All you have to do is be yourself and not make too many pointless posts. But don’t worry: there is no punishment if you accidentally make one. It’s just something to avoid if you can.
That’s all I can think of for now…
Prarilius Canix | December 5th, 2006 at 6:21 pm
I remember how uneasy I was when I first came to this blog. My advice to newbies is: Don’t feel obliged to go to this thread first. Search the main page for threads that catch your fancy. (I recommend the Ships’ Logs thread for the creative and/or sea-loving newbie. Many of the ships are stretched for crew, so you will have no trouble finding a position.) If nothing on the main page grabs your attention, however, go to the “Visit These Threads” thread and click on some of the links. Still no joy? Go to the search box in the top right corner of every page and enter a word or phrase that you are interested in. In the very unlikely event that you still don’t find anything… Plan B.
PLAN B
1. Read every issue of Muse you’ve got to fortify and nourish your brain.
2. Go to the monthly random thread.
3. Take DEEEEEP breath.
4. Jump in screaming and posting randomly (no one-word posts). This will get you past your self-consciousness. As soon as this ice-breaker is done, you’ll find that most people on here are actually quite nice. (Except for FrigidSymphony- No, I’m kidding. Even he has a kind word to say sometimes. I think.)

On the Origin of Welcome Pies
Prompted by comments on this thread and recent discussions about culture, I decided to dig around in the ancient archives of MuseBlog to trace how this insane eccentric behavior became systematized into ritual.
The first pie throwing of any variety appears to have occurred on 23 August 2005 on the first thread, “Welcome, Musers,” in a pact of mutual disarmament when Axa and Chin Tsu exchanged potentially lethal weaponry for baked goods, in compliance with a suggestion by “Robert Coontz (Administrator)” (later properly identified as GAPA RC).
In February 2006, a possible ancestor of Ebeth the Stalker known as Ebeth the Lurker tossed what proved to be a groundbreaking banana cream pie at visiting author Donna Jackson (thread: “Hello, Donna”). Curiously, in the process, Ebeth noted “in case you’re wondering, yes, that is our traditional method of greeting people,” (emphasis added) although I have yet to discover any prior incidents.
The following month proved critical in the nascent custom. On 08 March (“Mews Nuse 2006.1”) kricket issued an invitation to pie all newcomers, and Jadestone complied on 10 March. On 17 March 2006, a defining moment in the culture of MuseBlog occurred in “Forwaaard, MARCH! Part Three” when Jadestone pied Sir Penguin and 100% Cotton. This would appear to be the first instance of pastry thrown deliberately at individual newcomers.
Meanwhile, by early April, the Chuck Norris/Watership Down controversy had escalated into Pie War. The same time frame witnessed a possibly related intensification in the pie-ing of newcomers, led by an MBer known as Ebeth The Former But Recently Rehabilitated Lurker, possibly yet another descendant of Ebeth the Lurker. Jadestone, perhaps the same Jadestone noted earlier or a close relative, also contributed a fair share of flinging during this significant era.
On 01 May, the random flinging of welcome pies became codified by the ArchGAPA in his introduction to the “ABANDON ALL HOPE Welcome, Newcomers!” thread. In the same month, GAPA RC could be found actively inciting MBers to pieolence against new arrivals.
As they say, the rest is history.
A curious sidenote: only days after the Welcome Pie became established officially, several MBers complained they had never received one, apparently not realizing the tradition did not exist at the time of their arrival — among them, a possible descendant of the MBer lineage whose efforts have figured so prominently in this account, one Ebeth the Stalker, who said, “Come to think of it, i’m not sure i got a welcome pie either. (sic)”
In spite of due diligence, no doubt errors have crept into my research and I disavow all responsibility for them.
PGNF, not to be mean, but I tried that one time and people got really mad.
Plus now my pretend name is next to my real one on the who’s here page. I wish the GAPAs would take the other one off.
9 – Good summary.
HEYA NEWBIES!!! Don’t worry, we won’t bite.
ATTENTION ALL NEW AUTHORS!!!
If you like to write, I strongly suggest the RRRs. (Round Robin ‘Riting). This is how they work: the authors decide on genre, basic plot, number and gender of main characters, etc. Then someone writes the beginning of the story. Then someone else adds onto that, and so on, until you have a book. Or until the thread keels over dead, whichever comes first. You can wait until someone comes up with a new one, which may be a while, or you can visit one of the more recent ones, i.e., these:
Fantasy/Pirates:
https://musefanpage.com/blog/?p=766
This one is well into the story, and you may want to ask for a summary rather than read the whole thread.
Fractured Fairy Tale:
https://musefanpage.com/blog/?p=799#comments
The one thing you MUST NOT DO is read this one. Even the people who have been there from the beginning are confused. Ask for a summary, though, and you should be okay.
And there’s this one:
https://musefanpage.com/blog/?p=807
I haven’t been working on this one, so maybe I shouldn’t link to it, but it looks like it could use some fresh writers.
Be careful, and don’t enter an argument unless you have data and knowledge to back up your position. Otherwise, you’re going down.
7- Actually, you can’t PoPo on the random thread. (Note to newer parts of the blog: PoPo stands for Pointless Post. PoPoPo stands for Pointless Post Police, which I happen to be a part of.) You can post random posts on it, as long as they have a point. If you make a PoPo, I’m always there, and I don’t go very easy on anyone.
No one who’s posted on this thread so far has been a newbie.
14 – yes, you can PoPo on the random thread. Usually the PoPoPo are pretty lenient about it on the random thread, but if someone says “OMG first post! YAY!!!” on the random thread, that isn’t a good thing.
No, you can’t. Look here to see.
were are all the newbies?
I don’t know.
hello, Glassboro! i haven’t really ever talked to you, where do you hang out on MB? anything cool about yourself? do you like to read/listen to music/build stuff/build stuff thats explosive/like pyromania/start fires whenever possible? cause those are my main interests! i’m kinda destructive…..but i like history, else i wouldn’t be here.
20- Is this the muser profiles suddenly? Or what? Is jammin j trying to get some traffic in here?
?????
Umm, I am on too many threads to count. Among them are The Chronicles of Museica, the Pie War 2007 thread, the Monthly Random Thread, the Romance and Relationships thread, the Ask the GAPAs thread, RRR2007.5, and many others that I’m too lazy to name.
22-ooohhhh! laziness! my favorite! i am so lazy that my bed dosen’t have any top sheet on it cause its easier to make that way(i know, wierd).
21-jammin j loves traffic!! ever played Rush Hour? no, the muser profiles is much more interesting than talking about history. i get to talk about me!!!!!!
23- I think I have played Rush Hour, actually… And this thread isn’t the one where we talk about history, this is Wecome Newcomers. (like you didn’t know that )
24-the history comment was a mistake. that part of the post was supposed to go on my post to the notsorandom thread. oops. whatever.
i’ve only played rush hour once but i do play its cousin, TIPOVER. that game is hard/entertaining and just plain cool.
Glassboro-aren’t you also Red tailed Hawk? or am i just mixed up?
where are all the newbies? oh, wait, i already said that. gasp! maybe there are no more newbies on the Blog! oh the horror! help me!
okay, enough drama.
I’ve been wondering that myself. (where are all the newbies.) There was one several days ago that called himself arthur, king, but he hasn’t returned.
hello. i seem to be the only newbie here. hmmph.
i did introduce myself on the april newbie thread, but not fully. i guess ill do that here…
My name: you can call me… i dont know… someone make up a name for everyone to call me, im having name block right now…
What i like: MUSE (duh), all the [modern] muses (koko, bo, urania, chad, pwt, etc.), procrastination, books, books, books, asterisks (***), parentheses (()), hbps, bunnies in general, lurking, wolfies, the color blue, pinecones, blue footed boobies (the birds), emus (the bird, not emos), being random, and cheese.
What i dont like: people who spell everything wrong, sounding like a newbie whenever i post somewhere (which is often, trust me), un-sticky stickers, cheesy commercials, hairties that arent stretchy anymore, when my pencil sharpener explodes, and sharpies that have run out of ink.

you know what, i bet theres a totally different thread for this, and i totally just put this in the wrong one. i totally have not got the hang of this yet.
27- Hi, newbie! The thread you were looking for is Muser Profiles, part 3 (just put up a few minutes ago!)
I am also fond of bunnies, any color but pink, blue, green, orange, teal, maroon and purple.
I believe I will call you… well, I don’t know you well enough to call you anything yet, so I will call you Newbie until you think of something else. And let that thought motivate you!
27- Welcome! *pies* Don’t worry, you get the hang of it in no time.
27-how about Xenocidalemnity for a name? it sounds cool and the word Xenocide is a fake term found in a book(ender series, book 3) also, its completely random and hard to forget. lotsa people will really know who in heck you are!
hmm… ok thanks! *goes to post in muser profiles, part 3 after wiping off pie*
25- No, R-t H and I are completely different. I am neutral on the subject of :idea:s, while R-t H is pro-. So, no, we are different. Also, we are different bloggers, not just different personalities.
17 – Random is close to pointless, but she was showing the differences. Doing this “OMG I GOT FIRST POST I gotta tel th entir werld aboot this bcz Im soooo exczited!!!!!!!!” on the random thread is not a good thing.
Welcome, Newbie!!! *pies* Did reading my excruciatingly long post (if you did) make your eyes fall out of their sockets? I hope not!
But still, it is the random thread, not the pointless thread. If the GAPAs could confirm that I am correct it would be appreciated.
When we started creating monthly random threads, we interpreted “random” to mean “not tied down to any particular subject” or “not required to stick with a subject for any particular length of time, or any time at all.”
To some extent, pointlessness is in the eye of the beholder. On the other hand, most MBers know it when they see it, and dislike it. Should we start a special Pointless Post thread for pointless posts? Somehow that would seem to defeat the, um, point.
the article you guys did on vesuvius was awsome! i read it again and again. i read it again and again
um i don’t know
he he
that was my friend bo.
He doesn’t subscirbe to Muse but he still reads it. (bo says “yea”)
We are using the same computer.
*pies bo* Welcome if you’re staying, otherwise, welcome for the day!
Hi bo!
I was over at his house and he was interested in MuseBlog. He had to shut down the computer right after he and I posted.
Bo won’t be coming on MuseBlog very often, but I’ll try to get him on as much as I can. He might be able to get on tomorrow afternoon.
Bo really likes Kokopelli & Company. His favorite Muse is Kokopelli.
Stay, Bo!!!!!!!!!!!! *ties up and pies bo 10000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 times at the speeed of super-pie, which is twice the speed of light.
Rules for Newbies, in effect this thread only:
State your newbie status.
Submit to being pied.
Don’t post under another name to get more pies. If you want more pies say so.
If you won’t stay, say so.
Read suggestions about ANYTHING that sombody posts.
Post!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, they should submit to being pied on all threads, actually, especially the Pie War one.
That makes it easier to destroy all of the competition for the Jadestone Side, not that we need help. We Pwned in the Great Pie Wars. Yes, there are some others who say that they won, but everyone knows that we really crushed everyone else.
42-PIES YOURSELF
He came back, as you can probably see.
you betcha
hola bo!!! *pies bo infinite number of times* is it possible to pie someone an infinite number of times? wateva.
more newbies please!
48-pies yourself infinite times

Yikes. Smilies. Run away! Hi, bo. *pies*
There’s going to be someone called “Guillermo” coming on at sometime. He’s my friend who subscribes to Muse, so welcome him. At least, he should come on, but he may not get the chance.
WOW!! so THIS is the MuseBlog!!! I’ve only been getting the mag for, like, a YEAR!! finally paying my respects….
Hi!I mean,pi!pie!52 – WELCOME, SHADOW!!! You will find plenty of company around here.
Just look around and you’ll find Shadowkat, Shadowfire, Shadowfax, and Shadow049!
*pies shadow*
47 – Huh? Is someone impersonating bo? Or is that really you, bo? *is confused as bo didn’t show much interest in museblog at first*
49 – Hey! Stop impersonating me, whoever you are! *thinks it’s bo because that’s how bo posts usually*
50- pies yourself

Uh, bo…why do you keep posting “pies yourself
“?
(Bo) If what you really want to do is pie people like crazy, I suggest you step over to the Great Pie War . All you do there is pie the people who are not on your side.
There are 3 major sides:
Zemtee side (for the hot-pink bunnies): Red-Tailed Hawk, Agagabagabag, Beavo the Great, Cat’s Meow
Jadestone side (against the hot-pink bunnies): Jadestone, E2MB, johnkerry, dr. bashfull, Shadowkat
Neutral side (neither for or against the hot-pink bunnies): Glassboro, Sweet Melponeme
And some minor sides:
Alice side (the side for the normal-colored bunnies): Alice
Pick a side, and start pieing! It’s fun!
*dodges pies unsuccessfully*

57- That was completely incorrect. The Jadestone Side is neither for or against the :idea:s, and I am on the Jadestone Side. When you join the side you are given a choice about the :idea:s. Also, Alice is on the Jadestone side now. If the Jadestone Side was against :idea:s, Jadestone herself wouldn’t be on it!
FRIENDS, MUSEICANS, AND MBers, LEND ME YOUR EARS!!! this is the welcome newcomers thread, not the pie war thread. *fines everyone who posted from 58-63 1,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 boxes of virtual choklit* And yes, you have to pay. 65 – Thank you Glassboro. I was simply showing Bo that there was a pie war, since all he does is pie people. But then people got out of hand and brought the pie war over here.
I should have said eyes, not ears. *pies self*
67 – Yea.
fufufu…i’m not on anyones side…so ill just pie people…fufufufu…
fummmmmmmmmm, y was i fined? (yes i understand the fine will go up) oh well…is it possible not to be on a team in the pie wars?
:))
You were fined because you were pieing people for reasons other than to welcome newbies. If you had done it on the Pie War thread, you wouldn’t have been pied. However, this is the Welcome, Newcomers thread, not a pie war. And yes, you can be on your own side in the Lesser Pie Wars.
pie wars!!!!!!!!!!
70- Tim, stop acting like a spaz or I will have to continue revealing your true name. *Pies*
ummm… Gimanator IS a newbie.
am i justified for pieing the guy now? how do i pay, ive never been fined before.

*does the same as Alice* Welcome, robin hood!
*pies robin hood, too* now the question is, robin hood, will you make a rhym to respond to this?
robin hood, do you by chance know arthur, king?
81- I was wondering that myself.
58-actually, i think that word that i made up and is now your name actually means that you hate someone so much that you want to kill their whole race
xenocide=the act of wiping out a race
emnity=hateing someone
Genocide is wiping out a race. Xenocide would mean something more like killing a stranger (from the Greek ksenos, meaning strange or foreign). And the word for being enemies is enmity.
84- Yes, I think Orson Scott Card probably used the word because it fits eliminating a species that is not of earth, and therefore wouldn’t really fit into any of the existing categories.
85-he actually made up the word. its not in the dictionary or anything. its purely fictional. sorry about spelling enmity wrong!
i thought genocide meant wiping out an ethnic group. like arabs or a tribe type thingy. can someone unkink my mind?
welcome robin hood! *pies robin hood infinitely* how was your day?
I know I’m not new, but I haven’t been on here in months… So how’s life?

96- It’s true. His favorite smily is the happeist.
*lives up to expectation and posts happy smileys*
RtH

Can anyone explain to me what we were talking about there? I know there was this whole thing about a pie war…but it seemed a little random.
101- It is. Randomness is beauty here on MB. Happy Smileys Welcome!

Oh, and join the pie wars. Despite what everyone says about them, :idea:s aren’t all that bad. Just leave them alone and they’ll be nice to you. If you have any questions, just ask me, R-Th, or Beavo the Great Oh, and i forgot . R-TH is really, really nice, and a good leader in the pie wars. (P.S.: We’re not just here to recruit you. We want you to have a nice time here, and to do so you must not mess with :idea:s. They’re nice when you get to know them)
103- They’re not all bad. Half of them are, though. (Bunnius Evilus). The other half, Bunnius Nicegoodus, is perfectly nice.
Join the Knights of Swetemeat!
Sorry. I’m trying to recruit the innocent newbies, which isn’t a very nice thing to do, is it?
Anyway, If you like to write, come join the RRRs! (That’s advertisement, but it’s a peaceable sort) Here are a few that aren’t terribly long.
https://musefanpage.com/blog/?p=799#comments is a fractured fairy tale. I suggest you start reading here , and ignore anything earlier. That will tell you all you need to know, without hassle and confusion.
And then, of course, there’s this poor half-dead thing. It’s so short that you should have no trouble at all understanding it.
I hope my links worked.
Well, I just came out with a new potion to make ALL
s Bunnius nicegoodness!!! YAY!
So who will be kind enough to help me get this potion to all of the bad bunnies?
*fines everyone for posting things unrelated to welcoming newcomers* A lot, and pay up.
this is my first time… is anyone even here
Hellooooooooooooo?
107- Pies!
Welcome to Muse Blog. I don’t know how many times this has been said, but THIS IS NOT A CHATROOM. Nothing is instant. Except sometimes. Strange.
E2MB- I think you may have been found out.
107- *pies* Welcome!
109- Huh?
There was no welcome thread for bo. No comment saying hello. I have seen him on no other thread. E2MBs comment saying “He came back, as you probably can see” Was a minute after “bo’s” comment. Fishy.
109 – Huh?
111 – I WAS AT HIS HOUSE!!! We were using the same computer!!! I did not create bo! I think he’s just shy!
By the way, one of the nicer things I experienced when I first came onto MuseBlog was a notice on the main page saying, “ATTENTION, EVERYONE! All Musers report with pies to the Welcome, Newcomers thread to greet Dot Keet and Davidude.” THAT made me feel special.
TERMS OF USE WRITTEN WHILE KITKAT HAD WAY TOO MUCH CREAM SODA
First of all, I would like to state that you are a newbie. A newbie is a young person of any gender be it female, male, or undetermined
This is a young person, like yourself who has decided to become new to a place unfamiliar to them. Technically, if you have been on this site for three days, you are still a newbie. After the 4th day, you are officially a museblogger (?) and I promise that we all respect you. RIGHT GUYS?? yes, we do. also here is some other terms of use that you must read or else you might be a victim to a scapegoat. Nah, I don’t think we’d do something mean like that, right? Well anyway. The blog is created by the two mysterious GAPAS who happen to control the universe on a great throne and you must serve their every need. Or do you? Oh never mind. Besides from the GAPAS, we have other newbies to which you can relate, common-goers and the ancient ones such as myself who are old and moldy and crusty and um, well, you get the idea. If you really have nothing better to do, here’s a lot of the names, there is the beautiful and wonderous KitKat, who if you haven’t noticed already, is one of those people who is like totally conceited for no reason. But actually I’m not conceited I just like to pretend I am because I’m weird like that. Wait, wait, forget all that if you REALLY want to see everybody or stare at your beautiful name, please just spare me and go to who’s here. Makes it a lot easier. Even the GAPAs have to do work!! Mwhahaha! Also, there are a few people who enjoy taking different names just to confuse you. Never mind them. They are just naïve. Hahaha. I am just kidding. I do that a lot myself. You know what, I just realized something this TERMS OF USE thingie is not really has professional as all those other websites like ANSWERBAG I might add who has something against people my age. Growl, growl. Never mind though. Now if you want to be secretive nevermind making all these people guess who you are because there’s way too many people on this blog proved now. I tried to paste that who’s here thing on this paper and the paper was like 20 pages long. It was like the Domesday book. If you don’t know what the Domesday book is, I can go into your personal life. Have you failed history many times? Hmmm. Thought so. No, I’m just kidding. Okay now I’m like talking to myself so I’m shutting up and getting back to business. Alright then. Um, yes, what was I going to say? Oh right. Okay now, this is the Museblog. The muses have two categories. The super cool new techno enchanced super dupper kind (Feather, Koko, Urania, etc.) and then we have the dull boring greek heh never mind. The other ones, you know, like Thesis or whatever. A blog is NOT A CHAT ROOM so if you want to talk to your friends get an email but don’t get a myspace unless you’re like desperate to be super cool or because you’re a wanna-be. Now offense to you people who have myspaces but Museblog is like so much more intellectual, you know? Okay, also. The muse blog is like super cool and it’s pretty much guaranteed that you’re going to be addicted to it for at least a whole month when you first get on and you’ll be driving the GAPAS crazy trying to post at midnight because you love the blog so much because everyone is so friendly and pretty here and (more super conceited stuff and then) okay shutting up and back to business. The museblog is pretty ancient so you must do you duty and try to make it in touch with today. That doesn’t mean talking about shoes but you must use your smarty-smart brains (they are very big, I assure you if you read Muse magazine at all) to talk about all that latest stuff like why the heck are Alaskan crab catchers getting the most pay? And please make sure that the day you did enter the blog will be posted and so people out there MIGHT make assumptions. Now, just kidding. Look, I’m not trying to scare you. ïŠ Or am I? Well never mind that. Um, the museblog is here. You will need to memorize the term http://www.museblog.com/blog because if you are a true blog-goer you will want to memorize this. And why did we make this. Well, I certainly know. Because we are unique cool people so enjoy! And just an FYI, I am hardly getting over the caffeine from this soda (sadly there isn’t any caffeine in it or is there….) never mind. Okay, enjoy! And GAPAs enjoy reading this over!!! (heh heh I’m sure they love it…) okay, I’m all done. Good bye.
KitKat, that was rambling. I warn you newbies (even though by the time you see this it will be too late), that is really rambling and does not have much useful in it.
And one more thing, KitKat, the MuseBlog url is this: https://musefanpage.com/blog
Welcome, all ye!
113 – A bit long?
Hello new peoples! *pi*
I’m curious and questioning (also occasionally known as the Dodecahedron). I consider myself to be one of the more active MuseBloggers, since I’ve never been here at a time when I’m not here, but I’m pretty sure there’s a flaw in that logic. Somewhere. I think. I’ve been here about 10 months. I can’t believe it either. Anyway, look around, recieve your pies with grace, follow the rules, don’t pointless post (big problem here. Say everything you want to say in one post on the appropriate thread, and post for a reason. Say something, not just “OMG!!! FIRST POST!!!1!1!1111!!!ONE!!!” Say something related to the thread’s topic. I’ve gotten very angry about this in the past, and I’m not the only one. People have left over it.) Have fun, and remember, we’re all musers here. Pretty soon you’re going to start rolling your eyes every time you hear that, and then you will truly be one of us.
116 – “I consider myself to be one of the more active MuseBloggers, since I’ve never been here at a time when I’m not here, but I’m pretty sure there’s a flaw in that logic.” No flaw at all! It’s entirely correct that you’re never here when you’re not!
116- I thought that you’d been on longer than me. I really am old! *shivers*
116-10 months? I’ve been on (off and on) for almost a year, but I think I spent less than 10 months of that time posting on MB.
hello newbies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
0==]====>
There have hardly been any newbies this month. *sniff*
Sorry about the double post, but I’d hit submit before realizing this. I don’t think that there has been a single newbie on this thread, and we have over 120 posts. Is something wrong with that?
122- racheal was a newbie, as was robin hood. bo was a newbie, milik, and Poet maniac and Lover of Muse were both newbies.
Hmm. Am I a newbie? Does it count as being a newbie if you’ve been gone for so long no one remembers you?
I am an old friend of Phoenix’s. Does Phoenix come here anymore? I haven’t been in touch with her, so I wouldn’t know.
Anyone if Robert or Roseanne or anyone remembers me, I will be flattered. Who knows, I might hang around this time.
(124) Welcome back, Sphinx! I certainly remember you. Sad to say, we haven’t seen Phoenix in some months, but there’s always hope. After all, you’re here.
Hi Sphinx! What’s new?
I haven’t been posting much, myself. Work has been keeping me way too busy.
Are you still obsessed with Newsies? I hate to admit it but I still haven’t seen it!
Is it the newbie-est thing I could possibly say to ask, “Who is Sphinx?” Probably.
I am educated enough to know that Sphinx is a very old MuseBlogger, but that’s partly because she (you are a she, right?) just said so.
Anyways, welcome (back)! *pies with a pie reserved for very old MBers* Except that I had no idea there even was such a thing until just now, so how could I have reserved it?
Aw, forget it. I’m babbling.
*pies again, with a normal pie this time*
123- I’d completely forgotten about them, as they only stayed for a day or two at most. Were they really this month? *is bewildered*
I’m certianly a newbie, however I’ve been reading the blogs for so long that I feel like I know everybody. If you’re going to pie me a chocolate pie with chocolate shavings and thick whipped cream would be preferable.
129- Definitely.
*pies biblioRose with pie of that description*
*pies self with pie of that description*
124- Hi Sphinx! I remember you! *welcome-back pies*
*pies blblioRose with French Silk pie, because tha’s basicly what she described* That’s a very good type of pie, by the way. Ooh, do you know me? O.o Haha.
131-I just added that in so all you Mb elders would know I wasn’t entirely clueless to the ways of the blog. French silk? hmmmm. Well, I atleast know this about you: You have a very good taste in pie.
129- Do you know me? What do you think i’m like?
124- hey sphinx, welcome back
Stop it!
I just meant that I was only recently allowed to come on here, but I’ve been reading the blogs since March 2006.
Eek. My sister is coming on the MuseBlog. Await her on the Fractured Fairy Tale RRR.
Maybe she’ll decide we’re all too weird for her, but I wouldn’t count on it.
How old is she?
Welcome biblioRose! *pies with a chocalate-shavings whipped-cream pie*
137- Almost 11. I’m 13 and 3/4. How old are you?
I will be twelve this August.
Aww, thanks for the welcome. And the pies. Particularly the pies.
Rosanne, I’m not as obsessed as I used to be, but I still love reading the fanfics. Newsies may have a small fanbase, but certainly consists of many good writers.
If I finally get around to seeing the movie, I’ll be sure to read some of the fanfics.
