YAY mothers day.
woohoo!
mothers day is VERY happy.
I made mine a pair of earings from seed bees. There’s a white heart-shaped string of beads inside a pinkish-red heart-shaped string, and then a few alternating beads going up to the earing hooks. The sad part is I started one of them last year for mothers day but it kept getting bent out of shape so I threw it somewhere and made her a very nice card instead. I dug it out again yesterday, fixed it, and made the second when I realized I hadn’t gotten her anything.
I really need to remember when these holidays are better…
I got my mom a necklace. *Dances*
I got flowers yesterday, and then today I forgot all about it until I saw them on the table when I came down at 9:30 or something. Where’s Shadowkat? Shouldn’t she be here?
Today’s Mother’s Day? I didn’t know that. Hmm.
And I thought that I was bad, not knowing about it until yesterday afternoon. Wow.
Just make a card or something in your room.
I gave my mom a painting that I made in art class. Parents love gifts that their kids make.
7- Yeah, that’s what I end up doing most years. This time I made that second earing aroun 9:30, though, so I’m good.
Except for the part where I nearly smashed them because one was bigger than the other…grr…
In the past I’ve been good about getting things, but I completely forgot this year. Are they even now?
I am so not going in my room. (It’s also my little sister’s room.) But it’s okay that I didn’t know about it because we don’t celebrate Mother’s Day. We celebrate spiritual holidays and birthdays. I respect my mom all the time, pretty much, and I clean house a lot. That’s probably as good as a present. She knows it’s Mother’s Day, anyway, and she doesn’t care.
I bought my mom a little silk purse with a cat on it from Little Tokyo. It’s red! \:D/
I cleaned the kitchen for my mom.
japanese gifts…my mom would like that…she lived in japan for some years, and can speak japanese fluently…
ummm…hehe, did you guys know that last sunday WASN’T Mother’s day? Yeah, right, sure you did, but I didn’t. My brother and I went up to a greenhouse, got some plants and potted them in hanging baskets and had them hanging on the porch last Sunday morning…yeah, mom was definately surprised…
We went to dim sum today for Mother’s day. yum.
Anyway, I gave Mom and Grandma clay things, as I have for the last 5 years.
I forgot. My dad bought my mother chocolate covered figs and some other chocolates. She insisted she didn’t need the other chocolates so she gave them to me. I don’t understand that.
She had fun though, because she voluntarily took me shopping and I grudgingly put up with it.
I don’t ever do anything for Mother’s day. And my mom dosn’t really care either. Maybe I take her to a resteraunt *can’t spell* or something.
This thread probably won’t make it past 25, as it should be closed tomorrow. Shadowkat still hasn’t been here. And it’s because of her that we have this thread.
Restaurant.
Anyway, today was busy. Quaker meeting. Then down to my Grandmother’s house. My mom didn’t have a very relaxing mothers’ day at all.
For mother’s day, my mom drove me to [nearby big city]. Which is 1.5 hours away. For a violin lesson. And then drove me back.
Yesterday she drove me to [another nearby city, though not quite as big], which is also 1.5 hours away. For a violin lesson with a different teacher. And then drove me back. And then let me go to prom.
I love my mom. Although I didn’t get her anything. I did tell her how much I appreciated her, though. Several times. Especially as she edited my english paper.
Yeah, I’m pretty much a horrible daughter.
Our Mothers day is in March.
We went to Red Robin. And to Grandma’s house. Yeah, I hope mom had a good mother’s day.
22- Where do you live?
24-does museblog allow you to ask that?
Mother’s day, although I think it’s called something else there, is celebrated in march in the U.K.
It’s called “Mothering Sunday.”
I knew that it was some other date, but I didn’t know what.
26- wait, why is someone using their alter ego on a separate thread?
(25),
In a general way. Lady Cinnamon (now Cinnamon Moon) lives in England.
30-oh is see, thank you
Lol…thanks, GAPA’s…yeah, I gave my mom an IOU note, because I couldn’t find what I wanted to give her…seriously, no one’s selling it.
29- Because they forgot to change back. I did the same thing on the Riddles thread, and it killed this alter ego.
England. For now.
Lucky.
*finally notices thread* i got on the computer early and wrote a program that said “i love you, mom” bouncing agound the sceen, still in order, though. *happy!*
36- Cool!
36- How?
