Everyone was living happily in the planet of pieceful pie. Everyone was harmonious and there were very few disputes or arguments. Everyone was very happy. One day two merchants arrived at the planet in their space shuttle. They said they came from earth and they had brought with them this wonderful new product called duckweed. “Only the smartest, wisest, kindest people could taste duckweed” they said, but to those people, this food is the tastiest food ever. Most people taste nothing, but mean, jealous, stupid people taste the worst thing ever. Everyone lines up to try this “Duckweed” and everyone says it tastes good (who wouldn’t?) Finally one of the cows come and taste it and says “this stuff is awful! It tastes like duck crap!” It was then that everyone realized what they had been eating. They all started throwing up and while this was going on the mercahnts sneaked off to their space shuttle and went back to earth. Then the people found out that duckweed only tastes good when is is made arounf ducks. so etd satrted making good duckweed. and we lived happily ever after. the end of a very pointless story…oh well

(i know, i know, it isn’t as good as soccopelli, but at least it’s a good start!

hey, I’ve got an idea to maybe make this game go faster. how about if you and your team member have to take turns posting. for example, If team member #1 makes a move, they can’t post until #2 posts, even if it’s been 4 hours, unless, of course, a team member is unable to be “on” like etd is for a few weeks. Then, the one team member can post as much as they want AS LONG AS POSTS ARE 4 HOURS APART. This will help for people that are going on vacation now that it is summer.

keep in mind that the shoot and the score of a ball has to be in 2 separate posts, and double posting (doing 2 posts within 4 hours of eachother) subtracts one point from your team’s score.

165- ummm, I’ve never been on an RRR thread, well, i guess maybe once, but explain how exactly it works. I was planning on just everyone splitting up and explaining what they see, so I think it’s just about the same
ok guys, before we split up (and while we’re waiting for everyone) do we need to decide what we’re bringing? I think we’ll probably have enough food that we can find here in our exploration, maybe we all need notebooks, cellphones, ropes, back packs…ummm, well, yeah, whatever you can think of, I (somehow) have this rope with me so I can climb back up and get what people need before we go exploring, and I think waiting until post 180 is a good idea.
so, everyone can make a list of what they think they want to bring along, and we’ll go for it!

Shadowkat was on her way to Fudge Mountain to collect some chocolate, when she stumbled across a chasm that certainly hadn’t been there before. Looking to either side, she noted that the split didn’t appear to end. She was sure it did, but wherever that was could not be seen.
She peered down into the rift. A sweet, almost sickly smell emanated from its depths, swamping her with a giddy feeling of lightness. Realizing the effect this scent was having on her, Shadowkat yanked herself away from the darkness that had begun to envelop her. She ran back to the SNIP (Snow Cap Island Palace) and grabbed a gas mask and a flash light, then jumped in.
“OOF!!!” She let out a grunt as she hit the bottom of the chasm. She looked around as this sound echoed through the dank, dripping cavern into which she had fallen. But then, a sound that was not her own reached her ears.
“aaaaaaAAAAAAAHHHHH–” The sound was cut off at the end, and, so it seemed, had not come from far off. Shadowkat turned on her flash light, and went to investigate.

ok, so I think I see a bunch of tunnels around the edges of this…area… that we are waiting in. so how about everyone chooses a tunnel and ties something to the entrance so 2 people don’t end up exploring the same place.
I choose this tall, slightly narrow tunnel, bye guys! see you… sometime! and happy exploring!
An excerpt from my journal:
“Day 1
I began walking through the tunnel I chose. It was dark and moist, but very sweet smelling. The tunnel is approximately 5 feet across and easily 8 feet tall. It is a good temperature, perhaps 70-75 degrees. At first I saw very little of interest. After about an hour of easy-paced walking, I came to a fork in the path. It was strange in that one way was much warmer than the other. I don’t like extreme temperatures at all, but I prefer cold to warm, so I began down the cold path, but quickly turned back to take the warmer one because the cold path was entirely too cold for the clothes I was wearing. On my way down the warm path, at about 90*, I smelled this wonderful smell of melted chocolate, and things made with chocolate: brownies, truffles, chocolate chip cookies etc. It was delightful. I began to get tired and hungry and didn’t know what to do about food, when I came upon a crevice in the wall. I saw all the things that I had been smelling moving slowly by, like the pictures of magma in Earth. I took what I wanted and settled down to eat my dinner before sleep. The ground was relatively spongy and the temperature such that I didn’t need a blanket…”

Cinnamoon was walking across the socopelli pitch, wondering where everyone had gone, when she stumbled over a rock. She fell headfirst down a deep chasm that she hadn’t noticed. At the bottom, she saw a note written in a hand that she didn’t recognise. It said:
We are exploring the core of the planet. If you want to join us, begin exploring a tunnel. Tie something to the enterance, so that we don’t have two in one tunnel! Good luck!
She chose a small tunnel, with a hard floor. It was cold and damp. She could see perfectly, however. She walked a small ways, before she fell for no apparent reason. A deep gash was cut into her leg where it had been cut by a sharp piece of metal beneath her. She couldn’t stop the flow of her wound, and tried to move towards the enterance. Then she looked up and screamed! Before she could stop, darkness enveloped her.
“Day 1:I began walking along the tunnel I chose, which was unusually non-sticky–the cave at the bottom of the hole was sticky–in fact, it was a lot like pecan pie. But this tunnel was anything but sticky. It seemed to be made of bricks. Suddenly I realized the smell of apple pie was coming through the bricks. Apparently someone had lined the walls, ceiling, and floor of the tunnel with bricks. But that meant someone had to live down here. Suddenly I came to a fork. The bricks and smell of apple pie continued down one fork, the other was lined with concrete, through which seeped the smell of chocolate pie. I took the brick-and-apple fork, only to be forced to turn back when I reached a blank wall just around a turn. The other fork began to blend slowly into bricks and apple pie, when suddenly the bricks stopped, exposing walls that were much like apple pie. When I came to a blank wall again, I saw that some of the apple pie had been torn out of the side wall, leaving a door, about 6 feet wide, and 7 feet tall. I took some of the apple pie that had been torn out of the wall, and entered the door. It was dark, but when I entered the room on the other side, it flooded with light, revealing what looked like people made out of pumpkin pie. They vanished when they saw me. Another door opened in another wall. I went through, and continued untill my watch revelaled that night was falling. Ahead of me was a blank wall. I paced back and forth in front of it, thinking how much I needed a place to sleep (the ground was unusually hard there), but on the third time a door appeared in the wall. I went through, and found that the room on the other side, except for having walls of apple pie, was almost exactly like my own bedroom on Earth. Excitedly, I thought, “OMG I’ve found the Room of Requirement!”, and got into the bed.
When Cinnamon Moon woke up, her leg had magically healed. She couldn’t see the thing that had troubled her before. She began to move along the tunnel again.

Whoa, it’s amazing how much happens in just 19 days without internet. 104 e-mails and so much new stuff on mB i’ll never get anywhere close to catching up, so….whatever. I’m not going to try to get too involved here since im leaving again tomorrow but good luck with your explorations or whatever you’re doing and I will be back to normal in early august!

“Day 1 (July 13)
I got started late, and for a few hours, I found nothing disturbing in my tunnel (it was a very round tunnel, more like a hole in the rock than a tunnel, really). I was just thinking of eating lunch, when suddenly there was a draft on my neck, I turned around and saw that there was another tunnel carved into the side of the big tunnel, and this one had torches in it. I have tied a piece of yarn to a rock outside the entrance. I will explore further ahead for what is left of today, and tomorrow I will go down the strange tunnel. Wish me luck.
Day 2
I found nothing at all by going forward, so today I will try exploring the smaller tunnel. More later.
Later
I walked for a while, and pretty soon I started to hear voices. I can’t make out what they are saying, not where they come from, but they do not seem to be malicious, just a little creepy. They are saying something like, “Muttergrumblewhispershhhhhhhrrrrrr” or that’s what it sounds like.
Day 2
” I woke up again and continued on my way through my tunnel. It was very hot and chocolate-smelling. I began to sweat. It got very uncomfortable. I was grateful for another fork in the path, and took the one going upwards, because I think the heat is radiating from the center of the planet, and when I go up it might get cooler. So far it hasn’t gotten much cooler, but it hasn’t gotten warmer either. I was drifting along, enjoying the lovely smell of chocolate, when the smell changed drastically. I looked around carefully and saw what looked like an oversized bug. It was giving off a foul stench, and it looked scary. I started running in the opposite direction. It chased me for a little while, I think, but it was very slow and couldn’t keep up. It did continue to follow me, but I think it used my scent to follow, so if I stop for too long, it could catch up with me and…well, yeah, I doubt I want that to happen. I moved as fast as I could for as long as I could, then collapsed on the ground, tired. I have decided that I will take a small nap and continue, and maybe try to lead it off track. After a while it’ll have to stop for a nap too, and eventually I should get away.”
Day 1
“This journal entry isn’t technically ‘Day 1’, because I actually started exploring a couple days ago, but I just started writing today, so…yeah. Anyway, I went to investigate the sound I had heard, when I stumbled across a giant cavern. In the cavern was a post stuck in the ground, with a bunch of strings tied to it, all leading off in different directions, and footprints running alongside them. The footprints only went one way, so whomever’s they were had not returned. There was also a note. It said something about a tying a string to the post, and going down a different tunnel than the ones that already had strings in them. Apparently, I’m not the only one exploring this fissure.
I decided to do it, and went back the way I’d come, passing the hole through which I’d fallen. I was in new territory. I’d gone about a hundred yards when I found a pool of chocolate syrup. I put my chemical tester into the pool to see if it was safe to drink. When it came out clean, I dug in
I was surprisingly famished, parched, and extremely tired. I figured the chocolate would give me a little energy boost. After I’d had a few gulps, that dizzy feeling that I had first experienced when I peered into the chasm came over me again. I tried to pull away, but there must’ve been something in the syrup, because I could feel myself getting weaker by the second. I started to black out. An icy chill gripped me, almost literally. That was all I knew before passing out.
I woke up in pitch darkness. I felt myself for any bruising or broken bones, but felt nothing. I was, so it seemed, unhurt. I decided, though, to wait until my eyes adjusted to the dark to start moving again. That’s what I’m doing now, writing only to the faint light of my pet glowworm, Blinks. But wait…I think I see another light. More later.
day 1
it took awille to chose a tunael but then I couse a tunel that smelled good. it looked driting,but then I reliesed were I was: the apple pie tunel.The drit was cimmon.I took out I test tube and took a sample.
Day 3
I slept in the tunnel with the voices, and woke no worse for it. Clearly they don’t mean to do anything to me, or if they do, then they can’t. Perhaps they don’t even notice my presence.
I had a light breakfast of Chocolate and bread, and moved on. After a while, the voices died away completely, giving way to eerie silence. I don’t like this one bit…
(still Day 3)
A long time after breakfast–I have no way of judging time–I came out of the tunnel into a huge cave. The walls glisten with gold, and near the back of the cave, a little rivulet runs over the gold-streaked walls into a pool, and glitters in the torchlight.
That’s the problem: torch light. Someone must light the torches and keep them lit, but I have seen not heard not a single creature since the voices, and I’m not sure those counted. Oh well, perhaps a hermit dwells here, under the ground.
The cave appears to be a dead end, unless there is something in the back, beyond the stalactites and stalagmites (I can’t remember which is which). Or maybe the pool has something to do with it. There are beautiful fish near the surface, but it goes down very deep. Maybe there is a cavern below, or something. But before trying that out, I’m going to explore the back of the cave.
” Day 4
I have come upon a pathway coming off mine… I don’t know if I should go down that one or continue on mine… I think I’ll go on mine…”
“Day 5
yeasterday passed rather uneventfully after I passed the branch-off tunnel. Today, however was much more exciting. As I was walking along, There was a rumbling sound and the cave ahead of me fell in. I thought it was a wierd (but lucky for me) accident that it happened right before I got there. The I heard a voice ” No one passes through here without answering this riddle” It sounded just like all those fairy-tale books, but I went along with it. Then the voice said, “I will say the riddle but once, and you must answer” I decide to wait a while to decide what to do. I turned around and went back to the branching tunnel and went down there instead. I will explore that other area, but I’m not quite prepared to answer aa riddle like this, so I’m staying safe for now”

After spending days in the “Room of Requirement” I succeeded in making it have a second door and advanced. Within minutes a hundred tiny monkeys jumped out of the walls and cieling and started jabbering excitedly in what sounded like french, when one of them suddenly bellowed in English, “WHO ARE YOU, AND WHAT ARE YOU DOING IN OUR SACRED CAVERN?????????????” I answered timidly, “Er, my name is Koko du Pelle…”
“WHY DO YOU TRESPASS IN OUR SACRED CAVERN????????????” the monkey bellowed in a voice much larger then itself.
“I-I’m exploring, and I didn’t know it was your sacred cavern…”
“DID YOU NOT SEE OUR SIGN???????????”
“Sign?” Now that I realized the monkey was harmless, my nerve was coming back.
“IT READ, ‘ENTER NOT, YOU WHO ARE NOT A MUNKEEB, FOR THIS IS THE SACRED CAVERN OF THE MUNKEEBS’!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
“Where was it?”
“WE PLACED IT IN THE ROOM OF REQUIREMENT, THE ROOM WE PUT THERE TO KEEP OUT TRESPASSERS!!!!!!!!!!!”

Hm…since it appears that the Ships’ Log’s Explorers are going to pay us a visit, we could, conceivably, give up this exploration venture, and prepare for their arrival…once we get the message, of course. They will need supplies, and we can work a trading system like before, only with non-Piites, this time. Eh?

Uneventful since my last entry. At intervals I find piles of pie, so thee must be a friendly life-form down here. But I haven’t met it yet. There is a smell of chocolate in the tunnel, getting stronger the fartyher I go.

My tunnel has ended. It just stopped. I came to a dead end, a weird creature that looked like a giant spider with no hair appeared and said, “Hope you looked my pie,” grabbed me, and I found myself at the surface. Too weird.

for the party, there are free cow-back rides here on Cowland. On tuesday, there will be a race between the Holsteins and the Jersey cows to determine if the party ends or goes on for another day here on Cowland. If the Holstein wins, the party is over, if the Jersey wins, one more day of partying!

come on you guys! If we could at least average one post per day on here, I would be happy. I’ve been on PPP for over a year. It was the first thread i ever really felt comfortable on. I don’t want it to die now!

It’s amazing to think how newbies must feel, because now that I’m NOT a newbie, I can laugh at how confused I was.
I was never really confused, I just jumped right in, I think the random thread was first then hot topics, then I spread to the other ones. I never really got into the writing threads.
During the party, you may have thought that I had forgotten about my chocolate gelato, however our factory had just slowed down in production due to a malfunctioning part. I got fixed and now we have gelato for all!

290- me too, shadowkat and I started this, less than 9 days after I started posting, I think. Now my life is just so busy, I can only spend time here 3-4 days a week, for just a little while.
The problem is that it takes effort to be on this thread, you have to really imagine things going on and write it out. People have countries and it takes time and thinking to make them run.
The Dutch Belt is a string of islands on the coast of my country, the islands range from about 20ftx20ft to 2000×2000. There are a total of 10 and make excelent vactioning spots. The larger ones may have small herds of wild cattle, so the law is that only a quarter of the island may be used by people in building buildings and clearing beaches, making pathways and storing boats etc. CATTLE MUST BE LEFT ALONE in their own habitats, but make for an excelent thing to go exploring looking for, and quietly watching.

We’ve had a great crop of duckweed this year, so if anyone wants to trade it for some of their products, tell me! It makes a great ingredient in all sorts of different foods, not just pie and gelato
