If you’ve just arrived on MuseBlog, please make this thread your first port of call. We’ll help you find your way around and maybe even give you a surprise or two.
Please read The Rules. You might also glance at The HG2MB (Hitchhiker’s Guide to MuseBlog).
*pies da newbies*
*pies them again* Welcome, to maniac isle!

There haven’t been any yet.
Though my sister might be back today or tomorrow . . .
WELCOME…………NEWBIES!!!!!!!!!!!!
i guess i’m the first newbie here
5- You’re back! *pies* Welcome!
Yay! A newbie! *throws pie right into milik’s face* Welcome, newcomer! I’ll give you the guidelines: Don’t PoPo (pointless post). Otherwise the PoPoPo (pointless post police) will fine you large amounts of virtual choklit. To quote Red-tailed HAWK, a fellow member of the PoPoPo, “there is no-where you can hide. The PoPoPo will get you.” I may have messed it up, but you get the idea. I am the harshest member of the PoPoPo, as you will find out if you do take it into your head to PoPo. If you want help with HTML, go to the HTML Practice and Typographic Tricks thread. For smiley codes, see the HG2MB. That’s all that I can think of right now, other than to tell you that there is a difference between “pointless” and “random”. Fare well, and I shall soon see you on some other thread. By the way, did you mean for your name to be “milk”?
Hello, new people! If any of you show up and read this!
Read the Rules, the Guide (HG2MB), and then post here so we know you’re new and don’t eat your eyes out
Not really about that last part, though we will thow pies at you. I’m Jadestone, and I probably won’t hurt you.
Oh, and I’m the Future Ruler of the Universe if the Museblog plan for world domination doesn’t work out. I’ll probably put it into effect, though, after I come into power.
Just to warn you.
I never knew that. Since when? I won’t hurt you, unless you attack me or in the pie wars Jadestone tells me to. Or if I decide to, so basically that all came to nothing.
Just one thing newbies should know about me- I am a girl, and I am very short-tempered…two things they should know about me: I am a girl, and I am very short-tempered, and I have about 10 alter egos…so, in other words… don’t call me a boy, and don’t be surprised if I post under several different names…
Hello, all. *pies*
Here is the stuff I wrote once-upon-a-time for the Newbie thread, and here it is, yet again, posted on it. Read it ALL! *pies again*
MuseBlog is, as the title suggests, a place where “musers mingle,” and talk about “stuff.” We talk about things in the magazine, and other random things. Every few days there will be a new thread where we can all discuss.
The awesome amazing GAPAs (Great and Powerful Administrators) (or OEADS) (or MAP), who moderate every post before it is shown here. They are: Rosanne Spector, Robert Coontz, Paul Baker, and Rebecca Lasley.
Musers can’t post pictures on the blog, but if you would like a picture to be shown on the blog, you can email it to the GAPAs and they can put it on for you (if they choose to). The January Jubilee thread, part 2 had a lot of pictures of muses that people carved out of soap, and all those pictures were sent to the GAPAs before they were put on the website.
The best way to find out what’s going on here, I think, is to just look around. Read other things on the fan page, read previous threads, etc.
Welcome! *pies*
CTTTTHMV (Common Thread Type Things That Have Many Versions):
–Random threads. Every month there is a new random thread. This month’s thread is called “January Jubilee.” It always shows up at the top of the page when you first come to MuseBlog, and it has a picture with it. The random thread usually has many versions (part 1, part 2, part 3, etc.) I actually made a graph of all the random threads, now that I think of it. Maybe I’ll send it to the GAPAs. Well, anyway, the random threads are random, because no muser could live without a random thread. (Well, we could. no, wait. maybe. Um, hmm. I think I’m just confuzzling myself).
-Discussion threads: Discussion threads were created last year, as an alternative to the random thread. Some musers were getting agitated about the random thread, and how nobody could keep a discussion. So we created discussion threads, (morphing chameleon threads), where we would talk about something, and you had to talk about that thing, not go off on some thing saying, “OMGFIRSTPOSTKEWLIHADAGOODDAYINSKOOLTODAY” Discussion threads sometimes have different versions, but usually there aren’t very many.
-Muse Roll Call/Discussion: Every month, there is a muse roll call and a discussion on that issue of muse. There aren’t (usually) different parts of that, but they occur every month.
-Pie Wars: The continuing pie war never ceases, and every once and awhile there is a new thread for it.
-RRRs: Round Robin ‘Riting is a thread where one person writes part of a story, then another person writes the next part, then another person writes the next part, etc. They’re really fun (although I can never get around to doing it because of stupid homework), and the finished products are really cool.
-Birthday Threads: Every month, there is a birthday thread were every wishes a happy birthday to all musers who have birthdays that month. On the day of each person’s birthday, there is also a thread telling everyone to go to the birthday thread to wish everyone a happy birthday. It’s a museblog tradition to wear the person’s favorite color on their birthday.
-Writing/Reading: There are always Writing, Reading, Poetry, Songs, etc. threads floating around the blog. Musers like literature.
-Money-related: Whenever there are muses for sale on Ebay or there is information about the muser-loves-company store, there is usually a thread about it.
Here are some other blog-survival tips posted by other people:
Rebecca Lasley on March 11, 2007:
Be aware that the “What’s Here” thread takes a while to load. Once you’ve survived the wait, you can copy and paste the whole list into Word or any other document type that will preserve the links. Then you’ll be able to access the same information much more quickly, plus add notes or highlight the threads you want to find again.
You can link directly to your comment by adding it to the end of the URL in this format:

Newbs advising newbs. Oh joy. I’m not exactly old here(7.5 months), but this sounds like a bad idea.
Things you should be aware of (I don’t know if anyone else already posted some version of these, but the advisors don’t seem to be following them):
Etiquette:
Please say something in a post. Posts should not consist of “FIRST POST!!!1!!!111!!!!ELEVEN!!!!!1!!!” or your equivalent thereof. That includes posts that consist of “:) *pie*”. And ones that consist of “hello? is anyone there?” See General Information for details on that last one.
Try to stay on topic. On the Religion thread, “I like chocolate” will end very badly. On random threads, this is more allowed, but unless you have something new to say, the guideline is, don’t. For discussion/chameleon threads, try to post as if it were a thread on the topic currently being discussed.
General Information:
MUSEBLOG IS NOT A CHATROOM!!!! Posts are moderated by a GAPA before others can see them. You may have to wait.
If you put writing after a less than sign (). The one I made was safe because I used the code for them (& lt; but remove the space between the ampersand and the rest)
You should know everything else I’d put here, because before you posted, you read the HG2MB. Right? Go read it.
MuseBlog should be a fun place for all. Remember: we’re all Musers here.

Things not to do:
1. Post pointless things. You will be sought out by the Pointless Post Police.
2. Request a lot of different threads constantly. It gets annoying. Not to discourage requesting threads, but try some existing ones first.
3. Disclosing personal information regarding identity or location. It’s a no no.
4. Cursing. Don’t do it.
5. Flame wars(i.e. getting into a long fight with someone and ending up personally insulting them)

To all the newbies
Papai pronounced (Puh-PIE) A super pie of museblogger form made to save time by combining two pies instead of just throwing one after the other. Basically, it’s a double pie-Filled with any sort of flavorful filling you choose. The more flavor-The more POWERFUL!!!

Ok. To new MBers (MBers means Muse Bloggers):
Squee! Is an exclamation of joy or excitement.
w00t is the equivalent of ‘yay’ or ‘yippee’.
We use pie as a verb. You have probably noticed.
All you have to do is be yourself and not make too many pointless posts. But don’t worry: there is no punishment if you accidentally make one. It’s just something to avoid if you can.
That’s all I can think of for now…
Prarilius Canix | December 5th, 2006 at 6:21 pm
I remember how uneasy I was when I first came to this blog. My advice to newbies is: Don’t feel obliged to go to this thread first. Search the main page for threads that catch your fancy. (I recommend the Ships’ Logs thread for the creative and/or sea-loving newbie. Many of the ships are stretched for crew, so you will have no trouble finding a position.) If nothing on the main page grabs your attention, however, go to the “Visit These Threads” thread and click on some of the links. Still no joy? Go to the search box in the top right corner of every page and enter a word or phrase that you are interested in. In the very unlikely event that you still don’t find anything… Plan B.
PLAN B
1. Read every issue of Muse you’ve got to fortify and nourish your brain.
2. Go to the monthly random thread.
3. Take DEEEEEP breath.
4. Jump in screaming and posting randomly (no one-word posts). This will get you past your self-consciousness. As soon as this ice-breaker is done, you’ll find that most people on here are actually quite nice. (Except for FrigidSymphony- No, I’m kidding. Even he has a kind word to say sometimes. I think.)

On the Origin of Welcome Pies
Prompted by comments on this thread and recent discussions about culture, I decided to dig around in the ancient archives of MuseBlog to trace how this insane eccentric behavior became systematized into ritual.
The first pie throwing of any variety appears to have occurred on 23 August 2005 on the first thread, “Welcome, Musers,” in a pact of mutual disarmament when Axa and Chin Tsu exchanged potentially lethal weaponry for baked goods, in compliance with a suggestion by “Robert Coontz (Administrator)” (later properly identified as GAPA RC).
In February 2006, a possible ancestor of Ebeth the Stalker known as Ebeth the Lurker tossed what proved to be a groundbreaking banana cream pie at visiting author Donna Jackson (thread: “Hello, Donna”). Curiously, in the process, Ebeth noted “in case you’re wondering, yes, that is our traditional method of greeting people,” (emphasis added) although I have yet to discover any prior incidents.
The following month proved critical in the nascent custom. On 08 March (“Mews Nuse 2006.1”) kricket issued an invitation to pie all newcomers, and Jadestone complied on 10 March. On 17 March 2006, a defining moment in the culture of MuseBlog occurred in “Forwaaard, MARCH! Part Three” when Jadestone pied Sir Penguin and 100% Cotton. This would appear to be the first instance of pastry thrown deliberately at individual newcomers.
Meanwhile, by early April, the Chuck Norris/Watership Down controversy had escalated into Pie War. The same time frame witnessed a possibly related intensification in the pie-ing of newcomers, led by an MBer known as Ebeth The Former But Recently Rehabilitated Lurker, possibly yet another descendant of Ebeth the Lurker. Jadestone, perhaps the same Jadestone noted earlier or a close relative, also contributed a fair share of flinging during this significant era.
On 01 May, the random flinging of welcome pies became codified by the ArchGAPA in his introduction to the “ABANDON ALL HOPE Welcome, Newcomers!” thread. In the same month, GAPA RC could be found actively inciting MBers to pieolence against new arrivals.
As they say, the rest is history.
A curious sidenote: only days after the Welcome Pie became established officially, several MBers complained they had never received one, apparently not realizing the tradition did not exist at the time of their arrival — among them, a possible descendant of the MBer lineage whose efforts have figured so prominently in this account, one Ebeth the Stalker, who said, “Come to think of it, i’m not sure i got a welcome pie either. (sic)”
In spite of due diligence, no doubt errors have crept into my research and I disavow all responsibility for them.
And I will also post my usual (usually several times in a thread, and I’ve only been on one before this, so usual may not be the best word) plea to newbies. Come visit the RRRs! RRR stands for Round Robin ‘Riting, and there are currently two that are short enough for people to join.

If you don’t get it, read the above post by PP.

PP-Making your guide three times as long as the rules and the HG2MB put together isn’t going to make people want to read it. Not that it doesn’t have good info, just newbies want to head into the conversation asap.
*pies milik* So you’re Alice’s sister???
10-Okay I know where that came from
Hey I just noticed: PP must post the same one every time because it says “this month’s thread is called January Jubilee”!!!
14 – Yea. She collected a summary of useful information for newbies and posts it on every Welcome, Newcomers thread.
13- No, milik is not my sister. My sister posted here and hasn’t been back since.
Argh, my link in 12 didn’t work. I’ll try it again.

Penty is making her token appearance in this thread. -pies for all-
Helpful tips for newbies:
1. Read PP’s post (11) because she’s much more thorough and nice than I am.
2. Both pointless posting and the Pointless Post Police are…-gasp- pointless. Ignore them and maybe they’ll go away.
3. We really are nice people, most of the time. Even me.
4. There are some threads that will always be made of win. These usually involve writing. I am not biased in any way.
5. If you read the Rules and the HG2MB, a lot of things will suddenly start to make sense.
6. You can link to things by typing in the following code: <a href=”http://whatyouwanttolinkto.stuff”>What you want your link to say</a>. But unless you’re linking to a page within the blog your link’ll be snipped.
7. Museblog should be a very open, happy, accepting place. I’m sure it is, although frankly I have no idea how.
8. None of these tips are remotely useful. So I’ll end.
-bows flowers dramatics exits-
20- Oh. So href is not necessary? You can just do a? Wow, I never knew that.
20- The PoPoPo aren’t pointless, and won’t go away. I wish that there were no need for us, but there unfortunately is.
ALL NEWBIES, IGNORE MY NUMEROUS RRR POSTS.
I have noticed a dreadful, dreadful, mistake in the fractured fairy tale one, and I don’t want to bother to correct it. If you go to the fractured fairy tale, though, I will.
22- nah, the popopo are pointless, have a stupid name, and take up blog space. and aren’t effective anyway.
9- Since I started signing my papers that way last year. I get odd looks from teachers ocasionally, but it’s worth it. I have plans now for The Takeover too.
13/14/15/etc. – Yes, I know, I copy and paste the whole thing. I started with a smaller one, but then I kept adding things onto it, and it became this colossal thing. I think I’m going to put it into a word document and add all of the necessary HTML stuff to make it easier and more readable. Yes, I know it has errors, but I’ll fix it later. Actually, I don’t really have anything to do right now, and I don’t feel like going to bed (even though I should), so I’ll work on it now.
*gets to work*
20: What do you mean, “made of win”? Like, they’re winner threads or something?
20-The PoPoPo aren’t pointless. But we need worse penalties if we aim to make PoPoers stop PoPoing. Plus, the a is unessacery (sp?) to make a link. Just type the URL and it becomes a link. I will prove it. The following URL will not be made green except that it is a link. http://www.musefanpage.com/blog/?p=878/comment#=27 There. A link to Dotty-kay’s above post questioning about “made of win”.
Strange. It was a link to this thread, not post 27. But I prove my point.
KdP,
Almost right. The correct syntax is as follows:
http://www.musefanpage.com/blog/?p=878#comment=27 .
28-But to make a link that isn’t the address you do.
THE POPOPO ARE NOT POINTLESS. I am working on the whole system, so it will be even more effective very soon. Beware popoers, beware.
30-That isn’t right either:
http://www.musefanpage.com/blog/?p=878#comment-27
27 (DK)- Pretty much, yeah.
28 (KdP)- On your first point: see below. On your second: you can just type the URL if you want your link to look like a URL. If you want your link to look like normal text (albeit green), then you have to do the fancy a href stuff.
re:PoPoPo:
The Pointless Post Police is Like Communism
a rant by Pentatonikk
The PoPoPo means (or meant, but I’ll get to that) well. I agree that pointless posting needs to stop. But overwhelming it with “im in ur blog finin ur choklit” is not the solution. If it was, there would be no more pointless posting, now would there?
My opinion is that the PoPoPo as it currently stands is mostly composed of former pointless posters who are overly eager to show that they’ve “reformed.” I’m not saying this applies to every PoPoPo member, but for those to which it does, wouldn’t a better way of reforming be to NOT POST POINTLESSLY?
Because PoPoPo Pos are Po. I’m sorry, but I’m sticking to my guns on this one. Posting just to tell someone else “ur a horrible sinner now gimme ur virtual choklit” (or any variation thereof, possibly with better grammar) is no less pointless than the original post. It doesn’t further any discussion, it clogs up the comments feed, it contains nothing of interest to anyone (it’s most likely that the original pointless poster couldn’t care less) and it makes Penty rant at you.
Yes, I am an old codger who remembers the days when we had one random thread a month, no matter what, and the few pointless posts we got were ignored in the spirit of randomness. Yes, I would like very much to go back to those days. I realize that’s probably not going to happen, and that we need some way of keeping ourselves under control. I am also old and codgerly enough to remember the genesis of the PoPoPo. It started as a friendly squad designed to discourage PoPo-ing, especially on the part of newbies who didn’t know any better. It’s evolved into a way for a few bloggers to act like they have authority over the rest of us.
I supported the PoPoPo’s cause at the beginning, even if I never joined. But there comes a time when you have to step back and look at the way something works. If it’s as broken as this thing is, you either trash it or try to salvage it. In my opinion, the PoPoPo is past the point of no return and should be ditched as a good idea that doesn’t work in real life (much like Communism.) If you think that it’s fixable, that’s fine (so long as you have at least a vague idea of how to fix it.) I don’t have a problem with that.
I do have a problem with the people who insist that the PoPoPo ain’t broke, so nobody is allowed to try and fix it. Sorry, loves. It is. And somebody has to do something about it.
I don’t mind the system being updated at all. In fact, now that you say it I see what you mean. It’s still a good idea, but the actual thing is bad. Unfortunately, I don’t know how to fix it, other than to get other people’s help, people who do PoPo. And that wouldn’t really help to make the PoPoPo more effective, so I guess that I do have to agree with you. Also, I think that those days would be nice, even though I wasn’t here then, as far as I know, as they would help a lot. I even admit that I am guilty of acting as if I have authority, even if it is only over newcomers. Now, if you could explain what communism is so that I could understand the analogy it would be greatly appreciated.
On random thread a month? Sounds cool!
(35) Until you try to load a thread with 700 comments on a dial-up connection.
36- Oooh yeah . . . . My computer is slower than the other one, but it’s still faster than dial-up.
eh, I guess I’m an older, grumpier codger than you, Penty – I want to go back to the good ol’ days where we averaged one post every two weeks..
Ah, the gaboomba, how I miss it..
Not really. But still. The amount of blog traffic is _insane_, men, insane.
Are there even any |\|0085 here, or is this just a semi-random thread?
Oh, and HPBs, or as I am going to start calling them, :idea:s, are cool. Yep. If you haven’t read the HG2MB, to put a
in, type
“: idea:” but without quotes or spaces. Hey, if I type that in my name, will it show up? I’ll try it.
Nope. Didn’t work. Oh, well.
I’ve been thinking about this after Penty’s post, and have decided that I may leave the PoPoPo, at least until they are fixed. I just hope that r.c. doesn’t see this post.
33- Communism isn’t a bad thing!
Yo peeps!
I’m a newbie here, so if you see me around, throw me a quick pie or just stop and chat!
Lioness-PIES!!! I don’t think you’re the kid I sent here, but still, it’s good to have new people coming on the blog!!!
NOTE TO THE KID I SENT HERE AND IF YOU DO COME HERE YOU KNOW I SENT YOU: DO NOT SAY MY NAME PLEASE!!!
Anyway, he might not show up, bcause he doesn’t even get the mag, but at least I tried!
Red-tailed HAWK

Lioness, you want to stick with Red-tailed Hawk. He’s super nice.
43 (ag)- In theory, no. But the fact that it’s failed to work correctly every time a country has tried to govern themselves under it should clue you in that in practice, it does’t turn out that well.
44 (Lioness)- Yo! -pie- We’re insane here, but in a nice way. If you have any questions you can ask a codger like me, or one of the other bloggers, or one of the OEADs.
I hope you like pie.
45- If he doesn’t get muse he can’t come. This is a place only for people who subscribe to muse.
46- *Blush*
48-I don’t think he’ll come anyway, but how do you control that???
48- You were nice enough to me even after I said that I didn’t have a subscription.
Of course, it’s kind of a moot point by now because I got a subscription. And I read the magazine anyways.
48 – Not exactly. What they have to do is read Muse. Even if they don’t have a subscription, their library might, and they could read the issues there and be totally in with the other Musers.
Yeah, that’s what I meant.
49- You can always ignore them. That’s what I was going to do with minimoose4, who is one of my friends from school who doesn’t read muse.
48- Actually, C++darkmage doesn’t subrcribe to Muse, and gimanator has never read it.
Hello new people! I haven’t been on here in a looong time, so I almost feel new too!

WELCOME WELCOME WELCOME ONE AND ALL!!!
*pies ghostgirl*
Just so you know, posting several times in a row is generally frowned upon in museblog. Most people here are very nice, so you don’t need to be afraid, but there are people called the PoPoPo who go around and fine people chocolate who do that sort of thing, so just a heads up.
*pies ghostgirl*

Actually, I haven’t subscribed to Muse since 2002. Taklamakan mummies, anyone?

70 – I thought you said you hadn’t. Never mind. *pies*
Hop on in, newbies! We always like new people to bring fresh ideas around.
Again, most of us are very nice. If you have any questions, just ask!
ghostgirl’s lucky. I was the harshest member of the PoPoPo, before I quit. Very, very lucky. In fact, so that I’m not tempted to join again and fine her more she should read the HG2MB and The Rules. Right now would be good.
Glassboro’s right. I am still a member of the POPOPO, and I’m standing by. Please read the rules and the HG2MB before even posting, and save yourself a lot of trouble once you get into the other threads, where non-POPOPO even might not like what you’re doing.
The POPOPO aren’t meant to scare you, they’re meant to keep the blog the way the GAPAs wanted it to be.
When I was new, I read the rules and the HG2MB before I started, so I can request you do so too.
Sorry if that sounded mean, but when under the symbol of the POPOPO, I must be firm to keep others under control. Glassboro was one of the most strict, but that was because I have been a little busy, and so he either got there first or had more time to say what needed to be said.
Normally, I’m one of the nicer people around here, so if the rules and the HG2MB don’t answer any of your questions, just call my name.
Red-tailed HAWK

Just to remind you, it’s “PoPoPo”, not “POPOPO”. It’s not “POINTLESS POST POLICE” or “POintless POst POlice” but “Pointless Post Police”.
74- Is it so much what the GAPAs want it to be, and not what we want it to be? It doesn’t seem like the GAPAs ever cared much about Pointless Posts, but I am well aware that most MuseBloggers have at one point or another. I have, once or twice on the RRRs.
Well, to avoid this turning into a serious discussion, I hereby pie all newbies, anywhere, and I will relate a story.
My sister and I were going horseback riding. I had never ridden a horse before, and therefore, I was to get the most well-trained one, which was also my sister’s favorite. She was not very happy with me, and said several times, “Since you’re a newbie, you should ride [insert name of oldest and hardest to handle horse here].” ‘Twas really funny, the way she inserted internet slang into horse riding circumstances.
That was pointless, but it’s so long that it’s bound to fool people into thinking that there’s a point in there somewhere. (Haha, yeah right.)
I’m a newbie! Yay!
77-If you’re who I think you are, you better subscribe to the magazine first. That’s the only rule of entry to MuseBlog. If you’re not who I think you are, my apologies. *pies anyway*
78 – You don’t have to subscribe to Muse, you just have to read the mag!!! It’s okay if the issues come from a friend, library, or other source!!!
muse is great!!!!!
Hi, iris! *pies*
*pies all new people in advance and everyone that he’s missed* Please direct people to this during my absence from the MB.
Badda BOOM PIES TO ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
KYYYYYYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
[Feeling snippish. –ReB]
thats ok ReB i was a little bit hyper at the moment
okays hows about telling the newbies where to send their pictures
All right, send them to gapa @ musefanpage .com without the spaces.
85, 86- Why are you doing that, exactly? That’s kind of a weird thing to do, especially since they could just ask. But who cares, honestly? *shrugs*
I see how I could end up like RtH with five smileys on the end of my post if I followed my natural instinct and put a smiley on the end of any post that could be POSSIBLY construed as even mildly rude, just to show that I’m not mean. I know that isn’t why RtH has them, but I was just saying.
Ooh, sorry everyone. For sounding even mildly rude.
I don’t know why, but it was something to do. And another opportunity to remind someone about the game.
TREMBLE MORTALS! FOR IT IS I, THE NERDY WARLORD!
*pies* Strange name, my friend. Welcome to the *insert drumroll and dramatic pause here* Museblog. Don’t do anything stupid.
*pies* You will have some competition from FrigidSymphony, just to warn you.
NERD WARLORD, welcome! *pies* And iris! *pies** pies NERD WARLORD and iris again*
*sings newbie theme song* Somone is going to write the newbie theme song, now that I’ve sung it. *drumroll* *pies all newbies*
Um . . . Hello. *pies uncertainly*
92-Ch ch tssss! lol
Sorry I left early yesterday. Where was I? Oh yeah, TREMBLE MORTALS!
HELLO?
Okay lets start where I left off. I am a nerd, a warlord, I do read the mag, and LOVE it, And last, but not least, I am evil. BWAHAHAHAhackcoughwheezeHA
97-*Pies*
I’m not coughing, but I’m sick.
Nerdy Warlord- Uh, Welcome? By the way, if you’re going to stay on the blog, you’re going to have to quit it with the whole “tremble mortals” thing. And the triple posts. This is not a chatroom, you won’t get immediate answers; and try to fit everything you want to say into one post instead of posting three times in a row. Otherwise, you should be fine.
*aims MEGA PIE OF DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM at NERDY WARLORD AND THROWS*Tremble, or BWA HAHHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hee hee…
BUT I’M AN EVIL WARLORD. SAYING TREMBLE MORTALS IS MY THING!
101- Well, you will be fined by the Pointless Posts Police if you keep doing it.
101- All caps? Oh dear. Anyway, you can’t tell us mortals to tremble, because . . . um . . . because . . . Oh I know! We’re all Musers here!
101 OH YEAH? AND WHO GAVE U THAT RESPONSIBILITY? lol, jk
Warlord, is your name Mike?
WHO GAVE WHO WHAT RESBONSIBILITY!
106- Argh! No more caps! Which is worse? ALL CAPS or no caps?
Being an evil warlord, of course.
No, its the evil nerdy warlord! Why do you ask?
Ahem. Your welcome Alice!
110- Sorry. *looks sheepish*
Oh, right! I get it! Sorry again. I can be a little slow on the uptake sometimes. Well, thank you (rather belatedly). In my favor, both of those comments were moderated at the same time, and I didn’t have time to reply to no-caps.
I’m sure to win lots of friends if I keep this up.
Jeez. I am nice, most of the time. I don’t know what’s up today, if anything.
HOW DO YOU GET THOSE LITTLE FACES ANYWAY?
NW- 108 was in response to 106. The emoticons can be found on the Hitchhiker’s Guide to Museblog. I suggest you read it and The Rules before posting on any of the other threads. You can get to them by clicking the green tabs at the top of the page.
113-READ THE HG2MB!!!!!!!!!!! And the rules. People can become angry with newbs who don’t follow the proper process.
OOPS

JuliebSobriquet already said that.Warlord person who posts in all caps- No offense, but you’re already annoying me. Listen to everyone else. I’d fine you, but I have recently quit the corrupt PoPoPo. *hits self for missing this oppuortunityh for lots of choklit*
117- He can’t possibly be getting a very good impression of MuseBlog with the way we’re all acting. Maybe it’s time for some of that fabled niceness? Anyway . . . *pies Nerdy Warlord with French Silk pie*
Glassboro, it would seem that you are regretting your retirement a good deal lately.
Hey, I am a newbie, and I just wanted to know… how do you send in suggestions? I didn’t see it in the rules.
What do you mean by, “send in suggestions”? Oh, and by the way, *pies*
I mean like to the GAPA’s for a new thread.
Ultimate Jeeves- Welcome! I see you’ve already read the rules, you might want to check out the Hitchhiker’s Guide to Museblog. As for asking for a thread, you just post your request. I suggest you check out a few of the existing threads first before making requests for new ones. Other than that, you should be fine. By the way, are you a Wodehouse fan? Oh, and *pies*
Yeah, I love Bertie and his misadventures. I didn’t think they were very well known though.
123- Well, they aren’t really, here in the states; but there’s at least a couple of people on museblog who have read them. I think Der Wachtelshlag mentioned on the books and reading thread that she owns an (almost) complete collection.
118- Yes, I have. People have been PoPoing a lot recently. And perhaps you’re right, I haven’t been all that friendly.
It’s just theI’ll try to do better. Sorry, newcomers!123/124- I haven’t read many of them, but the ones that I have are good!
English comedies are the best comedies. Can’t say as much for their food though. Ever tried toad in a hole?
Or steak and kidney pie?
Nice name, Ultimate Jeeves…
123-Hey, I love those books too. I like all British comedy, including Wodehouse, Douglas Adams, and MONTY PYTHON’S FLYING CIRCUS! w00t! Hey, have you read Lord of the Flies?
126- Never. But I have a cookbook called Great British Cooking: A Well-kept Secret, and it implies that English food is better than it would seem. Or at least, the introduction does.
WARNING TO ALL: I am a human spellcheck! Misspell words at your own risk.
Hiya, newbies! *cackles insanely* Welcome to the mayhem!
130-Oh yeah? I taunt yoo! Ha ha I will misspell every othir word! Hahahahahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
132- I don’t bite. You can taunt me all you like, but in such a case I won’t bother.
I don’t mean, I won’t bite you, (even though I won’t) I mean, I’m not taking the bait.
Newbies, welcome to the blog! Although you will find amazing weirdness, it is not possible for us to hurt you over the computer! I am not saying what some of us might do face to face, though…..TEE-HEE!!
Thanks Traggle/RavenHawk/Rubea Hawken! Wil that be all sir?
136- Careful. Traggle is a girl, and touchy about the subject.
Oops sorry. Not to be rude, but maybe you should get a more feminene (Did I spell that right? Sorry Alice) name.
138- Feminine. It’s okay, I like correcting spelling.
*cheese puffs all newbies*
Since you’re a newbie, I’m not too upset…although, if you had read just the first ten posts of this thread, you would have known…anyways, I have been kind of apathetic and depressed the past couple of days, so I’m not posting much…
I’m a newbie! Is someone going to pie me??? Please??? I want to be pied sooo much! It sounds like fun. By the way, although I’m new to the muse blog, I’m a subscriber to the magazine. So I hope that makes you guys happy.
142- You are a newbie! Yay! *piespiespies*
*pies Momothebrainlesspig* We seem to be having a flood of newbies.
Momothebrainlesspig, would you prefer cherry pie or apple pie? Whatever, you’re getting cherry. *pies* will someone pie me? I’m not a newbie, but pwetty pwease?????????
145- Oh, alright. *pies*
AdrienneWildwind — thank you soo much for pie-ing me with cherry pie! I lurve cherry pie very much.
And thank you Alice for pie-ing me as well! You’re all so generous to us newbies.
Oh! And last, but not least, thank you E2MB for the pie-ing too!
Oh sure. *pies* It’s no problem. *pies* We like being generous. *pies* It gives a good first impression. *pies* That way you won’t notice that this is all a big conspiracy to take over the world until later. *pies*
147- Generous? *gets an evil look in her eye* Oh yes, very generous… *PIE*
E2MB – I actually know that this a conspiracy to take over the world. Um…you people are slow about it though. I’m not scared.
I think I’ve had enough pies, don’t you Alice? But thanks anyway for being soooo generous.
There’s 2 things I’ve learned on museblog, momothebrainlesspig. Numb.1, You can never have enough pies *PIES*. Numb.2, There’s no such thing as a brainless pig. Who do you think made up the cosipiracy to take over the world? Well?
150, 151 – Now that you’ve been properly pied, join the madness and hop on into other threads!
Yeah, if you like writing stories, or poems, or talking about science, or history, or the mag, than theres a thread for you ( Wow! I could make a comercial!).
Alice I’m a newbie!!!! *pies Alice* that was from koko.:)have a nice day!
154 – PIES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *pies Urinalives with 100000000000000000 pies at the speed of pi, which is 3.1415926535897932384626433832795028841971593993 times faster than the speed of light*
*pies Urinalives* Any particular reason why you pied me? Do I know you? (Does it matter?) *pies again*
Hi people!!!! I’m new here. So what’s this all about??
Hey, cool…somebody else on the blog likes Nickelback…or I would assume you do…
I love Nickelback!!!!! Are there people here who don’t??
159- People who don’t love Nickelback? There are a few…stay away from Frigid Symphony in particular…he has strong opinions about Nickelback…
I’d never even heard of Nickelback until I accidentally stumbled upon a near-flamewar between Traggle and FridgidSymphony about it. Anyhow, off topic. *pies Nickelback*
Hey! Anybody who cares! The scribblemaya thread is starting over, so we can continue in it! just a reminder.
Thanks, Alice!! What about a flame war? Which thread was that on?
163- The old Song Lyrics, I think . . .
Whoa, there are lots of people!
*pies all newbies* There sure have been a lot of you lately.
Okay, I don’t know if this is a good idea, but how about athred for P.G Wodehouse fans to go to?
Okay, I don’t know if this is a good idea, but how about a thread for P.G Wodehouse fans to go to?
Sorry I sent that in two times. But what do you think GAPAs?
Oooh, great idea, ultimate jeeves! I love P.G Wodehouse. Please GAPAs?? *sweet smile*
… Im new here… and Im slightly confused… What do we do here? I read all the rules but… Im still confused a bit…
171-Hello Fire Falcon! Welcome to MuseBlog! *pies* (It’s a tradition. We’re obsessed with pies, Hot Pink Bunnies, and Muse here) What would you like me to call you? And what exactly are you confused about? I can try to clarify.
So THATS why I saw the pie truck outside! xD What do you usually call me? Oh wait.. Call me FF I guess, its better than DD, trust me. xD Im just…confused… >_
Welcome, Fire_Falcon22.
What do we do here, you ask. Read any thread that strikes your fancy, and post a comment if you’ve got something to say. If you’re confused about anything in particular just ask for an explanation.
And don’t worry if a few pies come flying at you. Projectile pies are MuseBloggers’ way of welcoming newcomers.
173-Shhhhh…I’m pretending not to know you. xD Let’s see…I already explained to you what RRRs are. Now, the posting method. See how I put “173-” at the start of my reply? That means that this section of my post is replying to Post 173, yours. Fairly simple. And then later in my post I can put “174-” to show that now I’m replying to Rosanne’s post.
174-Hehe, a bit too late for the pie warning. 0:-)
Thanks. That clears things up a bit.
Yeah, I kinda saw the pies coming when I read the first few posts in this thread.
175- Oh what? Oh okay. Sorry. (>._.) Thanks for the tips, although, I have a question, how do you search through threads? Are they the ones on the front of the blog? Also, I warned myself.
Cat’s Meow (175): Yep, the pies fly pretty fast around here. Luckily Fire_Falcon22 seems unperturbed by pieing.
You two know each other, I take it.
*pies Fire_Falcon*
177: If you’re reading this on the “Welcome, Newcomers!” page, click on “home” at the top of the page. Scroll through that page and you’ll see various threads. To read what’s in any given thread, click on the speech balloon beneath the thread’s descriptive blurb. Then you’ll see all the Musebloggers’ comments and can add your own at the bottom.
179- Eh, pretty much *dodges pie*
180- Okay thanks!
I wish I knew other Musers in person… I showed a boy MB yesterday, but he wasn’t that interested.
182- I wish I knew you! You sound SO much like me, it’s amazing. You probably don’t think so…but, I do. Anyway, wishful thinking…we probably live in totally different states.
183-Did you read attack of the smart pies???
183- Well, where do you live? I’m in Washington. *starts imagining weird scenarios where Momothebrainlesspig turns out to be a friend of hers*
185- Darn it! I’m in PA. Wow, we couldn’t be further away from each other. Or actually, we could. But that’s besides the point. Oh, and call me Momo…momothebrainlesspig is much, much too long.
184- Um, what? Please explain yourself before I go mad with wondering!
186- Aw, drat.
186-PP and THP live in PA…
But anyway, I will tell you at the end of the following line what I’m talking about and you can look if you don’t mind
SPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSPOILERSSoanywaywhatI’mtalkingaboutisintheattackofthesmartpiesbookKokopretendstobesomebodynamedMomoandIthoughtthat’swhereyougotthenamebutmaybenot…
So there you have it. I highly recommend everybody read that book…
Well, Momo is the name of a novel by Micheal Ende, the author of The Neverending Story too, so yeah…
Thanks for the support Momo! You can find a Wonderful P.G Wodehouse thread near the bottom of the home page1
189-Oh.
188- I haven’t been on the blog long enough to know who PP
and THP are. So, who are they?
Not only that, but why do people on here write ‘spoilers’ so
much?
189- It is? Wow. My name is special. I actually got it from a
book, but not that book. Anyhow, I liked the sound of it.
Although one of my friends says it sounds like a little kid trying to say “moo-moo” like a cow. Either that or an appreviation for a disease.
Also, Alice, if I ever misspell a word, correct me if you notice. I hear you are very in to spelling correctly, and I certainly don’t
want to spell something wrong. I’m in to spelling, too, but that doesn’t mean I always spell things right.
190- Yes, I went on it. It’s very exciting! The wish was granted so fast I could hardly believe it.
192-Oh sorry-Purple Panda and Taiwan Hippo Phan. They live in Pittsburgh, I think… They are the main people in the musecasts…
And at the end of that spoilers line is what I’m trying to tell you about the Momo name, if you didn’t already figure that out already.
Teh Sore HAWK

Ok, I think I might actually get it, Red-tailed HAWK. Oh, by the way, I like your name. Do you by any chance like red-tailed hawks?
Hmm, Pittsburgh is pretty close to me, I think. I don’t know Taiwan Hippo Phan, though.
One more thing: Who (or what) are spoilers?
194- Spoilers are things that could spoil a book or movie.
I must find a way to get to Pennsylvania. *scheming, even though she knows that it’s hopeless*
I’m scheming how to get to Washington! And it IS hopeless. Why, oh why must we be so far from each other? It is most disturbing. I need to get a helecopter.
A helicopter! (Oh yeah, take that as your spelling correction.) I need one too. Of course, if just one of us had a helicopter, that would be quite enough. I wish I took vacations.
I knew I spelled it wrong! But I couldn’t figure out what letter went there besides an “E”. Anyway, thanks for correcting me. I wish you lived in Maine! I’m going to Maine. Why don’t you live in Maine? Or better yet, why don’t I live in Washington? Or better YET, why don’t I have a helicopter???? *sigh*
198- Yeah, Maine would be cool. I have a friend who went to Maine. She took a picture of a puffin.
Momo! You have bunnies? So do I! Too many to count… Alright, six. But I only want two.
I have three bunnies although only one is mine. I also have a dog, a bird and for two days I had a kitten. But my dog looked very much like he was going to eat her, so we had to send her back. Man, that was hard.
Anyway, do you have horses? I absolutely love horses…and I think you were once talking about painting them?
201- No, I don’t have horses myself. We were painting someone else’s horses. But they’re fun to ride. There is a very sweet gelding whom I have ridden once. I like him, but I haven’t ridden since then.
Newbies! Welcome to the museblog! Beware th PoPoPo! That’s Pountless Post Police! Beware the Hot Pink Bunnies! Don’t you just hate people who use exclamation marks excessively!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you have any questions, just post here and we’ll honestly try to help you out. Some of us have several names, so if you are unsure who someone is, take a look at the Who’s here button on the Navbar. Home, will, of course, bring you straight back to the start page. The What’s Here button supposedly brings you to a page where there’s some sort of list of all our threads, but I’ve never gotton it to work. I suggest you open up a word dov´cument or something simular, and start a list of the pages you like and their numbers. Look up at the address bar. This page is https://musefanpage.com/blog/?p=878. At the end of this address, do you see the /?p=878 ? That’s the page number. Sometimes, especially if you can’t get the What’s here button to work, you might not be able to find a thread once you go somewhere else. If you have the number of a page, you simply add the number onto the start page address https://musefanpage.com/blog. So if you wanted to go to /?p=179 , you just type this into the address bar: https://musefanpage.com/blog//?p=179. Makes sense?
Anyways, have fun and good luck!

(203) Fox w/DoR, regarding the What’s Here button: does it not work at all or does it seem to be stuck loading for ever and ever? If the latter, the solution is to wait.
And wait.
When I tried it just now (on a dial-up connection) the interval consumed a glacially-paced four minutes. Once it’s up, I right-click, “select all,” then copy and paste into Word, so I don’t have to sacrifice another four minutes of my life and yet still have the links to all the back threads.
Other methods for excavating old threads:
• use the yellow search box at the top of the page
• click on entries under “categories” (right hand column of the main page)
• click on a calendar date to bring up the posts created that day
Bonus: if you use the search feature or choose a calendar date, the resulting page will have “Posts by Month” in the right column.
I’m not new. will happily accept airborn pies.
I’m currently SOMEWHERE in Cumberland MD… I’m on the GreenWay bike tour.
[snipped for being too specific for comfort]
205-What was more specific than that???
a GPS location or something?
204 – How do you make bullet points?
hi, you newbies
why cant aeiuo talk any more?
204- Thanks! I’ll try it and post how long it took to load. *deep breath* Ok. here goes.
Excellent! It worked! After five minutes.
209- I don’t think anyone really knows. same whether Pwt is a boy or girl. I think Pwt is a girl. Hey, I’ll go find out what “Pwt” means. It’ll be funny if it means “lady”.
Ok. First guy said it is a noun. It’s a Urgaritic term used in cloth dying. I don’t think that’s what we are after. Let’s look at something else.
um.. “pw” is a hyroglyph meaning “it is”
“ipwty” means “messenger” (noun)
“rnpwt” means “vegetables”
Got it! It means…. *Ahem*
“Pwt” means “to escape” ” to run” “to run away from” “to flee” and “indigo textile fabric”.
Wow. that was a dissapointing use of a half hour.
We reached a similar conclusion in researching the Muse Glossary.
WHAT? Wow, what a whaste. *goes away to mope and to get posts aproved.*
You can find out what other Musers think by going here and listening to the Musecast…
hi, i’m new to museblog but have gotten muse for 6.5 years most fantabulous mag ever…
212- i think pwt is a boy cuz in the lotr issue gollumpwt is referred to as “he”
217-*pies*
217- Hello! *pies*
thanks i guess for pies, pie is good
anyways… is anyone else thoroughly disturbed by the recent decrease in size of muse mags?
Sorry, I’d love to stay and show killerchipmunk, but it’s after midnight here in Denmark and I need to sleep. Good night and good luck!
217 – Hi! *pies*
220 – Yes, I am!
I wonder where the kid I sent here is. He should be around here sometime soon, I hope…
220- Yes. We are discussing it here. https://musefanpage.com/blog/?p=806
220- absolutly! People star the e-mails!
Hmmm. It’s boring here when I’m the only one here. Hi, newbs!
HAWK, to the rescue!!! Oops, hour and one half late. Sorry!
That’s ok! Are you still on!?
I was for a bit, and then I ate breakfast and thought I would take a short nap, see…BUt I’m so tired from this crazy virus I didn’t wake up till lunch.
THEN I napped till just a few minutes ago *yawns* I don’t know why after all that!
