Which, actually is a good excuse–as a ‘phyte, one can be excused things that older memebers cannot. I’m sure JTB will become well-versed in MuseBlog etiquette if he sticks around for any amoutn of time. Meanwhile, a friendly reminder works just as well as a grumpy one! Perhaps better, even.

105) Yes ! I like to write & read, but have to hide it all from my mom, to save it from over-appreciation. Among my planned works is and ode to spell check (more like a ballad), which saves me from much embarrassment. I also think to much and write in long sentences because I go to school in Austria (where they speak german, in case you were wondering, which requires pretzel sentences).

This is the first time I`m blogging from a PC (in school). PCs are wierd- and they don`t have spell-check !!!

121–they don’t have spell-check automatically built into the browsers (assuming they use internet explorer or similar), like most mac browsers (safari, firefox) do, unless you download a compatible mac browser (firefox) onto your pc. but regular programs (word/excel/etc) ahve spell check, same as any other computer.
HPB, as it hot pink bunnies? or are you talking about somethign entirely different?
122- Firefox is not a Mac program. It is an open-source platform-independent program, supported by Windows, Mac Os X, Linux, and other Unix variants.
122-Internet explorer is weird…. the menu bar disappears half the time.
124- Get Firefox. I used to have IE too, and it was terrible.
I’m used to Explorer, but I’m currently using Google Chrome, mostly because it spell-checks what I write, which I like. I’m not a good speller.
Safari and satisfied with it.
By the way, this is getting really off topic…. The Welcome and R&R threads have a tendency to do that…. But maybe we should stop?

You know, IT REALLY IS OKAY TO REFRAIN FROM POSTING ON THIS THREAD. It is not an animate being. It is not pining away in loneliness for lack of comments. It simply is content to be at one with itself and to welcome any neophytes who happen by.
It somehow escaped our attention that this conversation was here and not on the random thread. My last plea to this effect was comment #104. Of the 23 comments since then, maybe half a dozen are somewhat relevant to neophytes. Another handful admit they probably don’t belong on this thread, which I will generously designate as progress of a sort. Now let’s take that dawning awareness to the next level, or we shall commence zapping.
