Yup. Well, actually, no, I read for an hour after that But yeah. I was strangely exhausted. I think it’s the whole end of the year syndrome. Skool’s been hectic. Also, my internal clock always gets messed up this time of year because the length of the day changes really suddenly. All the sudden it’s much longer. Do you people ever get that? It’s like jet lag, only you don’t go anywhere.
It’s annoying that everything is double-spaced on the threads. Messes up wordart. That was supposed to be a candle, by the way.

From time to time Rosanne and I have thought about zapping frivolous posts (such as the “filler” posts that start popping up whenever a thread nears the 300 mark), but we didn’t want to be seen as playing the role of “thought police.” It really is your blog, after all. Once or twice I’ve even started special “serious topics” threads, but they never lasted very long. Too heavy-handed intervention by GAPAs seems to suck all the life out of threads. We could try again, but I won’t guarantee better results than we’ve had in the past.

How about, instead of relying on the GAPAs to keep frivolous posting to a minimum, we just all make an effort to not do it? And if some one does start doing it to much, we’ll just give them a pie in the face as friendly reminder. Maybe we could add something into the rules that said “try to keep your comments somewhat meaningful”. I mean, making an official rule might be a bit harsh, but we could just put it there as a reminder.

In hebrew skool, We had to do a survey on triats we want our ideal husband/wife to have. I checked off all the traits that my crush has. I also played a guessing game with his best friend on who I like. He guesses my cousin, then he said “Not *name of the guy I like goes here*, then he guessed a 6th grader that was promoted into our class, then I hinted “You already said his name”. He nearly barfed.

alas, the rain has stopped, & the sun is coming out. today was fun. i finally got to drive again, this time to the mall, where i spent all my random coupons. i got a panic @ the disco shirt ( ♥ !), a cool poster, + some stuff for decorating some jeans.
my jeans turned out pretty neat. they hav pain splattered on the right pocket & right cuff (red, black, & glitter), & 2 little roses glued to the pocket. i think ill wear them tomorrow

I do mostly acrylic, but I’ve done a little watercolor. I love it! I dont get to do it as much as I used to, but it’s really one of my favorite things to do. I really need a good subject though for my next painting, I’m completley stumped.
Jazz is cool. I mentioned it becuase I joined to newly made Jazz band at skool this semester. It’s hard! Jazz piano might as well be a different instrument from classical piano. I started listening to some- I bought a couple albums. Any one heard of Eric Dolphy? He does Jazz bass clarinet. I also play bass clarinet, so it was really fun to hear.
Fasions completely puzzle me. Where do they come from? Why are they what they are?

I do a lot of painting – mostly arcrylic, but I’ve done some with oils and arcrylic.
I seriously think we should try to make a thread where it would be a “topic” thread. The random thread is for randomness, so if you wanted to say something random, you could post it on the random thread. If you posted something on the “topic” thread, you would obviously know that GAPAs are in charge and will zap non-related things. Nobody will consider them ‘police,’ because we asked them to do this.

i customize about half of my clothes. its fun – gives me something to do besides stare at the comp screen for hours on end. my latest project is this pair of jeans, which i guess are bermuda shorts now, since i cut each leg just above the knee. i just bought some gold & silver paints, so maybe i can paint them w/ those…
one time i had a pair of black jeans, & i decided to spatter a bit of bleach on them…but i kinda overdid it, & they ended up looking absolutely awful. hehe…

(48) I love doing that! Just an hour ago I turned a pair of old courdoroys into bermuda shorts. It’s nice because now I can stop wearing jeans, which it is way to hot for. (and I didn’t have to go the mall, which I hate)
My sister was into high heels for a while, but now she goes for flats. I hate high heels. If they’re over an inch, I won’t put them on. That’s why fashions interest my so much: was it about high heels that make them so appealing even though the are so painful? I guess it’s something to do with what they do for your posture. But it’s weird, eh?

People don’t have to follow every thread, you know. The problem is that Musers are curious about everything.
The numbers show that, since the beginning of the blog, we’ve created 345 threads. That’s about 40 per month, including birthdays and continuations. Since the beginning of April, though, we’ve been averaging the equivalent of 60 per month. We’ll try cutting that in half and see whether most MBers find it more manageable.

63. a ha ha ha ha 80s videos in school make me laugh, because everyone looks like an idiot. in Consumer & Careers (aka Home Ec.) we saw a video in our Fashion & Interior Design unit and they were like “horizontal stripes make things look wider than they are” and then they did a 360 degree view of this chubby lady in a red and white striped t shirt. okay, we got their point, of course she looked bad. then came the example of vertical lines to lengthen. eh…not so much. the person in a *vertical* striped shirt looked just as horrid as the first person.
i would hide in shame if i were them.

91- Coolness. I like purple.
So, today, in theology class, we were reading the textbook, and it mentioned Hades as the place where some rock blocked off and on that rock was supposedly Solomon’s temple. My reaction: What?!? Greek mythology?!? Idiocy ensued.
TeacherNun: Does anyone know another name for Hades? at this point, I’m thinking, “Pluto or Tartarus,” but here’s what happened…

TeacherNun: Yes! um, not exactly. There’s a difference between the Ancient Greek underworld and the Christian hell.
We read on about how God defeats Hades because Her/His temple was over this rock blocking off Hades and how Jesus defeats Hades by rising from the dead. So, basically, Jesus takes on the Ancient Greek god of the underworld. Sounds like the theme of some stupid political cartoon.
Teacher goes on about how Hades is hell. After class, my friend and I were discussing this, and came to the conclusion that: SHE HAS NO IDEA WHAT SHE IS TALKING ABOUT. This isn’t the first time she’s messed up major points of pagan mythology. Hello, Hades ruled the underworld, which was more or less a place of eternal boredom for the normal folks, torture for a few people Zeus particularly despised, and milk and honey for the heroes. Not to be confused with hell, a place of eternal torture for the damned. How did he even get in the theology book?!? I really hate popularized, mythologically incorrect [haha.] slang.
So then I looked up “Hades” in the dictionary. [OCD? possibly] and the first definition agreed with me. The second one said something about a name used in modern translations of the New Testament. Interesting. Weren’t they translated from Greek? And the third states that it is a euphamism for hell. Which mades me hate the weird prudes even more. Did I just contradict myself? *sigh*
I really needed to rant that out, thanks!!!
In other news, we watched, on the announcements this morning, the candidates for various student council offices. I don’t want to vote for any of them. I have completely lost faith in the student body in general.

The Hundred Years’ War? It was between the English and the French, and the English whipped the French’s butts, even with the taunting. Until Joan of Arc showed up, and started having visions and whipping the English’s butts. I was just reseaching Impressionism for the ariticle I’m writing for Kali’s project. It’s phenomenal! I went to a Pissaro (who is sometimes called the Father of Imprssionionsim) when I was in Sydney. I love the earthy, fresh, snapshot quality. I really want to try it. I wonder if it would work in acrylics? Anyone have anything to say on the matter?

rendezvous 9 opened today.
i dont think ive ever fully explained R9.
ok then…
every spring we have a big concert called rendezvous @ the jazz club (this year is the 9th one). its relly the closest thing TC ever has to an actual concert . individual ppl audition for solos – most of the songs in the show end up being either rock, pop, jazz, or country. each choir also does a few songs. we decorate the auditiorium w/ like 2 million little lights, and of course theres a disco ball. theres also supposed to be a “dance floor” between the stage + the front row, but its more of a miniature mosh pit.
oh, and we also get some relly neat shirts (yays!). this year’s shirts are black & silver. anyways, there was a 2 1/2 hr long matinee this afternoon. my throat hurts from screaming (yes, theres a lot of that too), and my feet are killing me, but it was fun, w/o a doubt.
lets see…some guys were the blues brothers…that was cool. oh, and some other guys did an aerosmith song – oh gosh it was hilarious…ok, so halfway through the song, 2 of the guys run backstage, and when they return, one is wearing a darth vader costume, + the other is luke skywalker. then they whip out lightsabers + start dualing, while the rest of the guys stop singing + do sound effects for them. they stopped fighting after a few minutes, + then they finished the rest of the song.
I googled the guy I like, and it came up with our schools honor roll as the 7th result. Wow.
I googled “ooh its all right” the first words of my theme song, and it came up with a bunch of songs that are NOT my theme song. Go figure.
i searched “Off topic” and it came up with an entire forum for off topic stuff
I googled “The big bad Wolf” and it gave me a novel
I googled “Robert and Rosanne” and it gave me a pair of singers
When I told my cousin I googled the guy I like, she said “You’re worse than I was!”

Since i’m really bored, i’m gonna post a really long post about my boring life. Sounds fun. Yeah? *glare* Ok. First off, went to homeroom. Leah was wearing a long dress and high heels. (For opening night) But then, she’s insane. Latin. Watched boring movie about Jason and the Argonauts. I read the history chapter instead, but still failed the pop quiz because it was too dark to see. History, failed pop quiz. Shouted at Andy about his complete lack of hair (HE CUT HIS FRO OFF! AGAIN! ARRRR!!!!) Turned in Hotel Rwanda permission form (yes, we needed permission for a PG-13 movie. In high school. Ah well…). Tomorrow we’re going to hear somebody named Dr. Judd (i remember the name because there’s a poster about it that i always pass after gym on my way to the drinking fountain) from OSU talk about the Holocaust. Pretty kewl. (hearing some random expert talk i mean, not the holocaust. Obviously. That wasn’t kewl at all.) Gym was…gym. What’s to say? Band was pretty boring as well, although Andy was absolutely killed over his hair. (haha…serves him right cutting it all off…) Lunch was…well…lunch. We (we being me, lizzy, jacob, and hunter (who had no reason to go but stalks lizzy all the time.)) went up to the balcony and wandered around aimlessly. (we’re ushering there tonight-me+jacob i mean, and lizzy’s house manager so she had to make sure we didn’t mess up. XD) Math, we went outside and did sort-of-trig-but-not-quite, meaning we had to find the length of the road w/triangles and all (which might actually be trig. I’ve never really been quite sure what that is…) Then we measured brandon on the long jump for no apparent reason. (i think ryan just didn’t want us messing around inside before the bell…) English, i got my mockingbird planning sheet back already! Only second try! Amazing. We also started watching Our Town. Then we had a nice little about-our-town’s-history thing, where lamuth (who’s been here for a million years) asked us a bunch of q’s about our town. Then aaron adams was loudly protesting (i don’t think he can do anything quietly…) about how he’d “only” been here for three years and sydney and i were like “Yeah aaron, try not even a year yet!” Grr, he gets on my nerves. Anyway. Oh and we learned about the porn theater. Funny. So apparently there used to be a porn theater here, where CVS is now i think and lamuth said you never saw anybody actually going in or coming out, but it was definitely there and in business.Then when they were going to tear it down, people started protesting, because apparently it was really nice architecture or something. She said there was some reference on the Tonight Show about some little town in Ohio protesting against tearing down the porn theater. Anyway. Funny stuff. Then in science lizzy stressed about house management, Andy got himself all worked up trying to explain the purpose of the arctic and antarctic circles to me (he tends to shout a lot…especially during science…haha…funny days) and he made no sense at all and the jacob explained in like two sentences and i got it. Haha. So then i was walking home after skool w/jacob and matt and dad drives up and is like “i’m picking you up today, remember?” and i was like umm… whoops. So we had to go back and find james, who was waiting by the band room. *sigh* Ah, my life, my life.
Does anybody else find it incredibly ironic that i haven’t updated my xanga in ages and yet here i am, ranting away, with so much to say…that sounds like a song. Actually it probably is. Oh well.

You GPAs do realize that there can’t be “part the fourth”, don’t you? Because “part the 1st” “part the2nd” and “part the3rd” are the three parts of “The Messiah”, an extremely long hhoral peace from the , umm, was it the Baroque period? It used to be preformed all at once by a chior and organ player, but now people have “Messiah Singalongs” with two intermissions. The audience gets to sing some of the eady parts.

hello hello today was ha ha fun
sometimes being nerdy really does come in handy
in math, after we had a test, nobody finished so we get to continue working on it tomarrow.
the three smartest boys in the grade could not decipher the second to last question, while i was stuck on the bonus. (the three smartest girls, my being one of them, happened to have to problem at all) so as we were walking to nerdy band, all three of them turned around and started walking towards me.
i didnt know why until they’re like “ok, tell us the answer to 23 NOW.” and i’m like “i dont have a clue what you’re talking about” even though i did “the test. what was it. i didnt get it” “pleeeease tell us!!” “come ooon!!” “how did you find out the amount of quarters?” “did you need two equations?” “ben, tell her she’s the queen of everything, then she’ll tell you” (now THAT made me laugh) “i didn’t get it” “oh, so now you’re owning up to the fact that she’s smarter than you, huh?”
it was all quite entertaining until me friend, whom gets easily jelous, particularly of me, (and i’m not being stuck up in saying so, jelousy is not good and nobody should aspire to being envied. people are mean to you when they’re jelous) finally told them the answer. they still discussed it and puzzled over it, and they actually kept walking with me.
my friend was mumbling behind us. even if i’m not popular, i am the most popular amongst the nerds!

From time to time Rosanne and I have thought about zapping frivolous posts (such as the “filler” posts that start popping up whenever a thread nears the 300 mark), but we didn’t want to be seen as playing the role of “thought police.” It really is your blog, after all. Once or twice I’ve even started special “serious topics” threads, but they never lasted very long. Too heavy-handed intervention by GAPAs seems to suck all the life out of threads. We could try again, but I won’t guarantee better results than we’ve had in the past.

How about, instead of relying on the GAPAs to keep frivolous posting to a minimum, we just all make an effort to not do it? And if some one does start doing it to much, we’ll just give them a pie in the face as friendly reminder. Maybe we could add something into the rules that said “try to keep your comments somewhat meaningful”. I mean, making an official rule might be a bit harsh, but we could just put it there as a reminder.

In hebrew skool, We had to do a survey on triats we want our ideal husband/wife to have. I checked off all the traits that my crush has. I also played a guessing game with his best friend on who I like. He guesses my cousin, then he said “Not *name of the guy I like goes here*, then he guessed a 6th grader that was promoted into our class, then I hinted “You already said his name”. He nearly barfed.
We then got into an argument over whenever god really exists

my jeans turned out pretty neat. they hav pain splattered on the right pocket & right cuff (red, black, & glitter), & 2 little roses glued to the pocket. i think ill wear them tomorrow

I do mostly acrylic, but I’ve done a little watercolor. I love it! I dont get to do it as much as I used to, but it’s really one of my favorite things to do. I really need a good subject though for my next painting, I’m completley stumped.
Jazz is cool. I mentioned it becuase I joined to newly made Jazz band at skool this semester. It’s hard! Jazz piano might as well be a different instrument from classical piano. I started listening to some- I bought a couple albums. Any one heard of Eric Dolphy? He does Jazz bass clarinet. I also play bass clarinet, so it was really fun to hear.
Fasions completely puzzle me. Where do they come from? Why are they what they are?
I do a lot of painting – mostly arcrylic, but I’ve done some with oils and arcrylic.
I seriously think we should try to make a thread where it would be a “topic” thread. The random thread is for randomness, so if you wanted to say something random, you could post it on the random thread. If you posted something on the “topic” thread, you would obviously know that GAPAs are in charge and will zap non-related things. Nobody will consider them ‘police,’ because we asked them to do this.

i customize about half of my clothes. its fun – gives me something to do besides stare at the comp screen for hours on end. my latest project is this pair of jeans, which i guess are bermuda shorts now, since i cut each leg just above the knee. i just bought some gold & silver paints, so maybe i can paint them w/ those…

My sister was into high heels for a while, but now she goes for flats. I hate high heels. If they’re over an inch, I won’t put them on. That’s why fashions interest my so much: was it about high heels that make them so appealing even though the are so painful? I guess it’s something to do with what they do for your posture. But it’s weird, eh?

People don’t have to follow every thread, you know. The problem is that Musers are curious about everything.
The numbers show that, since the beginning of the blog, we’ve created 345 threads. That’s about 40 per month, including birthdays and continuations. Since the beginning of April, though, we’ve been averaging the equivalent of 60 per month. We’ll try cutting that in half and see whether most MBers find it more manageable.

So, today, in theology class, we were reading the textbook, and it mentioned Hades as the place where some rock blocked off and on that rock was supposedly Solomon’s temple. My reaction: What?!? Greek mythology?!? Idiocy ensued.
TeacherNun: Does anyone know another name for Hades?
at this point, I’m thinking, “Pluto or Tartarus,” but here’s what happened…

um, not exactly. There’s a difference between the Ancient Greek underworld and the Christian hell.
We read on about how God defeats Hades because Her/His temple was over this rock blocking off Hades and how Jesus defeats Hades by rising from the dead.
So, basically, Jesus takes on the Ancient Greek god of the underworld. Sounds like the theme of some stupid political cartoon.
Teacher goes on about how Hades is hell.
After class, my friend and I were discussing this, and came to the conclusion that: SHE HAS NO IDEA WHAT SHE IS TALKING ABOUT. This isn’t the first time she’s messed up major points of pagan mythology. Hello, Hades ruled the underworld, which was more or less a place of eternal boredom for the normal folks, torture for a few people Zeus particularly despised, and milk and honey for the heroes. Not to be confused with hell, a place of eternal torture for the damned. How did he even get in the theology book?!? I really hate popularized, mythologically incorrect [haha.] slang.
So then I looked up “Hades” in the dictionary. [OCD? possibly] and the first definition agreed with me. The second one said something about a name used in modern translations of the New Testament. Interesting. Weren’t they translated from Greek? And the third states that it is a euphamism for hell. Which mades me hate the weird prudes even more. Did I just contradict myself? *sigh*
I really needed to rant that out, thanks!!!
In other news, we watched, on the announcements this morning, the candidates for various student council offices. I don’t want to vote for any of them. I have completely lost faith in the student body in general.

I was just reseaching Impressionism for the ariticle I’m writing for Kali’s project. It’s phenomenal! I went to a Pissaro (who is sometimes called the Father of Imprssionionsim) when I was in Sydney. I love the earthy, fresh, snapshot quality. I really want to try it. I wonder if it would work in acrylics? Anyone have anything to say on the matter?

every spring we have a big concert called rendezvous @ the jazz club (this year is the 9th one). its relly the closest thing TC ever has to an actual concert . individual ppl audition for solos – most of the songs in the show end up being either rock, pop, jazz, or country. each choir also does a few songs. we decorate the auditiorium w/ like 2 million little lights, and of course theres a disco ball. theres also supposed to be a “dance floor” between the stage + the front row, but its more of a miniature mosh pit.
oh, and we also get some relly neat shirts (yays!). this year’s shirts are black & silver. anyways, there was a 2 1/2 hr long matinee this afternoon. my throat hurts from screaming (yes, theres a lot of that too), and my feet are killing me, but it was fun, w/o a doubt.
lets see…some guys were the blues brothers…that was cool. oh, and some other guys did an aerosmith song – oh gosh it was hilarious…ok, so halfway through the song, 2 of the guys run backstage, and when they return, one is wearing a darth vader costume, + the other is luke skywalker. then they whip out lightsabers + start dualing, while the rest of the guys stop singing + do sound effects for them. they stopped fighting after a few minutes, + then they finished the rest of the song.

Since i’m really bored, i’m gonna post a really long post about my boring life. Sounds fun. Yeah? *glare* Ok. First off, went to homeroom. Leah was wearing a long dress and high heels. (For opening night) But then, she’s insane. Latin. Watched boring movie about Jason and the Argonauts. I read the history chapter instead, but still failed the pop quiz because it was too dark to see. History, failed pop quiz. Shouted at Andy about his complete lack of hair (HE CUT HIS FRO OFF! AGAIN! ARRRR!!!!) Turned in Hotel Rwanda permission form (yes, we needed permission for a PG-13 movie. In high school. Ah well…). Tomorrow we’re going to hear somebody named Dr. Judd (i remember the name because there’s a poster about it that i always pass after gym on my way to the drinking fountain) from OSU talk about the Holocaust. Pretty kewl. (hearing some random expert talk i mean, not the holocaust. Obviously. That wasn’t kewl at all.) Gym was…gym. What’s to say? Band was pretty boring as well, although Andy was absolutely killed over his hair. (haha…serves him right cutting it all off…) Lunch was…well…lunch. We (we being me, lizzy, jacob, and hunter (who had no reason to go but stalks lizzy all the time.)) went up to the balcony and wandered around aimlessly. (we’re ushering there tonight-me+jacob i mean, and lizzy’s house manager so she had to make sure we didn’t mess up. XD) Math, we went outside and did sort-of-trig-but-not-quite, meaning we had to find the length of the road w/triangles and all (which might actually be trig. I’ve never really been quite sure what that is…) Then we measured brandon on the long jump for no apparent reason. (i think ryan just didn’t want us messing around inside before the bell…) English, i got my mockingbird planning sheet back already! Only second try! Amazing. We also started watching Our Town. Then we had a nice little about-our-town’s-history thing, where lamuth (who’s been here for a million years) asked us a bunch of q’s about our town. Then aaron adams was loudly protesting (i don’t think he can do anything quietly…) about how he’d “only” been here for three years and sydney and i were like “Yeah aaron, try not even a year yet!” Grr, he gets on my nerves. Anyway. Oh and we learned about the porn theater. Funny. So apparently there used to be a porn theater here, where CVS is now i think and lamuth said you never saw anybody actually going in or coming out, but it was definitely there and in business.Then when they were going to tear it down, people started protesting, because apparently it was really nice architecture or something. She said there was some reference on the Tonight Show about some little town in Ohio protesting against tearing down the porn theater. Anyway. Funny stuff. Then in science lizzy stressed about house management, Andy got himself all worked up trying to explain the purpose of the arctic and antarctic circles to me (he tends to shout a lot…especially during science…haha…funny days) and he made no sense at all and the jacob explained in like two sentences and i got it. Haha. So then i was walking home after skool w/jacob and matt and dad drives up and is like “i’m picking you up today, remember?” and i was like umm…
whoops. So we had to go back and find james, who was waiting by the band room. *sigh* Ah, my life, my life.
Does anybody else find it incredibly ironic that i haven’t updated my xanga in ages and yet here i am, ranting away, with so much to say…that sounds like a song. Actually it probably is. Oh well.

the first two nights of R9 hav rocked, quite literally (for more on this, scroll up the thread). but now, unsurprisingly, im sick. and my ears relly hurt! i didnt realize the concert was that loud until everything began to sound all “echo-y” today! i went to first hour, then came home + slept

sometimes being nerdy really does come in handy
in math, after we had a test, nobody finished so we get to continue working on it tomarrow.
the three smartest boys in the grade could not decipher the second to last question, while i was stuck on the bonus. (the three smartest girls, my being one of them, happened to have to problem at all) so as we were walking to nerdy band, all three of them turned around and started walking towards me.
i didnt know why until they’re like “ok, tell us the answer to 23 NOW.” and i’m like “i dont have a clue what you’re talking about” even though i did “the test. what was it. i didnt get it” “pleeeease tell us!!” “come ooon!!” “how did you find out the amount of quarters?” “did you need two equations?” “ben, tell her she’s the queen of everything, then she’ll tell you” (now THAT made me laugh) “i didn’t get it” “oh, so now you’re owning up to the fact that she’s smarter than you, huh?”
it was all quite entertaining until me friend, whom gets easily jelous, particularly of me, (and i’m not being stuck up in saying so, jelousy is not good and nobody should aspire to being envied. people are mean to you when they’re jelous) finally told them the answer. they still discussed it and puzzled over it, and they actually kept walking with me.
my friend was mumbling behind us. even if i’m not popular, i am the most popular amongst the nerds!
