As suggested by Capricious the great and terrible, a thread “where Musebloggers can write the name, how to pronounce, and description of an object that they ‘found’, and other Musebloggers can read it and tell them what they think.”

Yay! Thanks GAPAs!
I’m first!
Kamikaze Turkey Bombers (Kam-ah-kahz-EE TURK-ee BOM-ers)
Members of the Anthropomorphic Animal Dogfight Tournament, these gobblers fight by flying their planes into other ones and crashing, screaming turkey noises.
Blugerhausenfortehnsun
(Bloo-gur-hows-en-fort-en-shoon)
A word representing when a parental unit talks to a friend/aquainttance (I can’t spell) for hours at a time, thus annoying their child to death.
Also known as Parentalfriendlinesstoomuchtalkativeosityosis
Came up with a really devious one.
Jortenshautenmorkdenflofdenshishdenmakdenflurrrrb (Fred)
A word that’s annoying and impossible to spell, given out at spelling bees.
4-Ah, I know those well. similar to:
catanonuseoselogoadferenbeeus
an extremely obscure word which has no obvious use other than for spelling bees. (seriously, these actually seem to exist. If you watch the national spelling bee you’ll see what i mean.)
3- I hate when they do that.
multicarnitopper
stereotypical striped top hat commonly worn by stereotypical carnies.
[yeah, really random, I’m not feeling all too creative at the moment…]
Aklunista
(ah-clue-NEES-tah)
A random word that popped into my head several weeks ago (happens a lot) which is currently serving the purpose of naming the Usurper of Surriskar in the Ethettere Chronicles. She is a scaly kangaroo-ish creature that is very voilent, and deals with any intruders herself instead of sending guards out to capture and/or kill them.
Another random word – Ouriel
(OR-ee-el)
Another word that popped into my head, somehow found out that it was an angel of fire on some website.
Yet another – Selvana
Another word that just waltzed into my head, currently naming a princess in a book I’m writing.
Nega-Rangers (NEG-uh rain-jurrs)
A very interesting plot device being used by Kiki in her new unnamed dystopian novel. They look like stormtroopers except their masks aren’t so fr00dy and they’re silver, not white. They have Nega-tasers and aren’t afraid to use ’em.
anticigraph- The feeling you get when you hold a book in your hands and pause with excitement on the prospect of reading it
Zoifluffle
The feeling when you know the word that describes what you’re trying to say, and you know you know it but you forgot it and can’t remember, and you’re trying to explain by describing whatever it is you’re trying to say and failing miserably. And the other person is just standing there smiling and nodding and thinking you’re an idiot.
antidisestablishmentarianism – the sate of being against the disestablishment of something. Suposedly the logest word in the dictionary, but I found alonger scientific one.
The longest word is not antidisestablishmentarianism. It is;
methionylglutaminylarginyltyrosylglutamylserylleucylphenylalanylalanylglutaminylleucyllysylglutamylarginyllysylglutamylglycylalanylphenylalanylvalylprolylphenylalanylvalylthreonylleucylglycylaspartylprolylglycylisoleucylglutamylglutaminylserylleucyllysylisoleucylaspartylthreonylleucylisoleucylglutamylalanylglycylalanylaspartylalanylleucylglutamylleucylglycylisoleucylprolylphenylalanylserylaspartylprolylleucylalanylaspartylglycylprolylthreonylisoleucylglutaminylaspfraginylalanylthreonylleucylarginylalanylphenylalanylalanylalanylglycylvalylthreonylprolylalanylglutaminylcysteinylphenylalanylglutamylmethionylleucylalanylleucylisoleucylarginylglutaminyllysylhistidylprolylthreonylisoleucylprolylisoleucylglycylleucylleucylmethionyltyrosylalanylasparaginylleucylvalylphenylalanylasparaginyllysylglycylisoleucylaspartylglutamylphenylalanyltyrosylalanylglutaminylcysteinylglutamyllysylvalylglycylvalylaspartylserylvalylleucylvalylalanylaspartylvalylprolylvalylglutaminylglutamylserylalanylprolylphenylalanylarginylglutaminylalanylalanylleucylarginylhistidylasparaginylvalylalanylprolylisoleucylphenylalanylisoleucylcysteinylprolylprolylaspartylalanylaspartylaspartylaspartylleucylleucylarginylglutaminylisoleucylalanylseryltyrosylglycylarginylglycyltyrosylthreonyltyrosylleucylleucylserylarginylalanylglycylvalylthreonylglycylalanylglutamylasparaginylarginylalanylalanylleucylprolylleucylasparaginylhistidylleucylvalylalanyllysylleucyllysylglutamyltyrosylasparaginylalanylalanylprolylprolylleucylglutaminylglycylphenylalanylglycylisoleucylserylalanylprolylaspartylglutaminylvalyllysylalanylalanylisoleucylaspartylalanylglycylalanylalanylglycylalanylisoleucylserylglycylserylalanylisoleucylvalyllysylisoleucylisoleucylglutamylglutaminylhistidylasparaginylisoleucylglutamylprolylglutamyllysylmethionylleucylalanylalanylleucyllysylvalylphenylalanylvalylglutaminylprolylmethionyllysylalanylalanylthreonylarginylserine-
Definition: The trytophan synthetase A protein which has 267 amino acids and has 1,913 letters.
Oh, click on the scrollbar at the bottom of your screen if you really want to see how long it is.
10: I love that word. Of course, i’ll probably forget it whenever i have occasion to use it.
11: I wonder if it would be considered child abuse to use that in a spelling bee.
Procrastinatious (adj.): 1. Describes one who habitually procrastinates. ex. Students are so ~ these days.
2. Describes an action that is done out of the desire to avoid work. ex. Spending time on the museblog was very ~ of her.
Papai
(Puh-PIE)
A lethal double-pie created to hit the opposing opponent-like enemy twice as hard and twice as delicious as one pie, while saving time.
13-I think it would be wrong to put that in a spelling bee not only because it’s child abuse, but because it’s not in Webster’s Third, and words have to be in Webster’s Third to be in a spelling bee.
oooh, my one trumps your guys’s.
Crayon
(cray-on)
A small, brightly colored cylinder of wax, usually tapered to a point at one end and wrapped in paper. Used for coloring, carving, shaving and then jamming into inconveniant places, twiddling, throwing at you desk buddy, building miniature cities, as well as a present on obscure holidays and as a declaration of war between the tribes of some imaginary countries.
About the “child abuse” thing on spelling bees:
Catullian (ca-TELL-i-an)
And, before anyone else:
Kokopelli (Koh-koh-pell-EE)
Black pointy humanoid figure, official Modern Muse of Tunes and Tricks. Also Unnoficial Muse of Pie Throwing.
16 – Yes! I wrote a “history of the crayon” paper for school once. Except it wasn’t assigned. I just wrote it and gave it to my teacher
Sesquipedalian
(SES-kwi-puh-DAY-lee-in)
Using excessively long words.
11- I think they erased that word because techincally if you were to define an atom in a word, then that particular word would be about a million letters long. I’m also not sure that scientists use that one. Whatev. It’s still long.
hippopotomonstrosesquipidaliophobia (I think, probably missppeelled)
fear of long words
qwertizer- one who randomly bangs on their keyboard
10- I will try to remember and use the word zoifluffle in my everyday life.
pneumonoultramicroscopicsilicovolcanoconiosis
this is a real word meaning a
lung disease caused by the
inhalation of very fine silicate or
quartz dust.
19 – Nope. Try using the scrollbar going horizontally at the bottom of your screen.
Evanescnece: fleeting, appearing for only a slight moment.
Also the name of one of my favorite bands.
Whoops. Mispelled that. It’s Evanescence
5-Yes, but why would I watch the National Spelling Bee?
GAPA: Great And Powerful Administrator. The mysterious powers of the Museblog, also known as ‘Admin.’ or ‘ZOMGBBQOMFGSQUEE!’
Trump!
BurnedMuffins- The most intelligent, interesting, and random MuseBlogger to ever touch a keyboard. He has proved that Pwt is a boy, has written about the year 2407 AD, and is incredibly random.
lemony-muffiny-bannany-goodey-yummish-delightish-woot!
it means that it was yummy. You may substitute lemony or muffiny or bannany if you so desire.
and you may substitute woot with another happy exclimation also.
Chongolyre (CHONG-oh-lire)
A common musical instrument on the planet Dekrane. Sounds like a harpsichord with some violin mixed in. It looks like… er well its hard to explain.
likegetmeoutofthisplace!
(like get me out of this place)
it means i hate whare i am and please escape me soon!
17 – you place the accent on the last syllable in Kokopelli? That’s weird. I pronounce it Koh-koh-PEL-lee. Tomayto, Tomahto
Paraskavedekatriaphobia
Fear of Friday the Thirteenth. Closely related to triskaidekaphobia, which is extremely fun to say!
18- I love that word. It’s like an oxymoron in itself.
This may be random, but does anyone here get a weird satisfaction from crunching empty eggshells by hand?
crap! dang medieval name.
ovenbird: A thrushlike North American warbler, having a shrill call, and characteristically building a domed nest on the ground.
16- Um.. I think that’s already been invented…
embrichloro (emm-brih-KLOR-oh)
Green fire, commonly found under large cities. Powered by bad thoughts. Not good.
29-Allow me to elaborate.
Paraskavedekatriaphobiaphobia- fear of fear of Friday the Thirteenth.
Followed closely by paraskaavedekatriaphobiaphobiaphobia, then–AUGH!
While I’m on the subject:
Guardrail (GARD-rayl)
A metal bar that serves two purposes.
1. To stop cars from carreening over cliffs with exagerrated “HOONNNNKKKKKKK” noises, or at least in the movies.
2. To be the subject of a strangely popular Muse magazine, and to be republished in the tenth anniversary issue.
RETURN OF BOBBYJKL!!!
Muhaha
Once upon a time, there was a boy who had subscribed for like 3 years. His favorite books where Alice in Wonderland, through the looking Glass, and Surely you’re joking, Mr. Feynman! Plus 672 no in the top 3. He also was one of the few people who associate words with colors, and colors with smells, smells with numbers, and some number with words. Anyways, here’s my word:
OpenMag- To view magazines on such open source things including Firefox, Linux, or a Dvorak keyboard. Not really opensource, but associates well with it.
Vorilite- A rare mineral that forms when large quantities of one stable element and one unstable one fuse under massive heat and pressure. The vorilite molecule consists of two atoms, one unstable and one stable, with one neutron hopping back and forth between the two atoms and unleashing massive amounts of energy over a long period, thus providing a highly efficient power source.
Urania (Ur-AIN-nia)
1. One of the Muses in Greek Mythology of Astronomey Father: Zeus
Mother: Disputed who it is.
Sisters are Calliope Euterpe Clio Erato Melpomene Polyhymnia Terpsichore and Thalia.
Urania is depicted in most ancient paintings carrying a staff with a celestial globe.
2. A Muse from the MAgazine Muse and is usually haranged by Kokopelli. But is indeed one of the brightest muses. She is depicted in the magazine as the Muse of astronomey and Math.
Vorilite is the consistency of clay at room temperature and is a glittery, translucent blue-green. Most of its energy is released as radio waves, but the wavelength can be changed by adding small amounts of sodium, which acts as a catalyst. Its highest-energy wavelength is X-ray.
glomp-a hugging noise, generally used in anime and short internet videos.
Ahh! Can we do odd acronyms? Our school did some in it’s paper recently. For instance, things like *schoon* (shoots hot coffie out of nose) instead of ‘lol’
Are all of the words here real? It’s hard to tell sometimes. I will not write until I know if it is ok to invent words or not.

11- That is long. If there are any spelling erors, I will not notice. It must have taken hours to write it out!
Bnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
A writer’s block noise, which was invented by Otzi when she banged her head on her keyboard.
Embrite elorcha: (EM-brite e-LOR-ka)
Embrite elorcha is the phenomenon of traveling to other universes (not magic, ooh, tamora pierce-style other universes, but schroedingers-cat kind of different universes) and displaying traits not seen in home universe. Such as in Will’s case, acquiring a dÅ“mon, or showing magic when you come from our world.
*Ahem*
Dracasting (DRA-ka-sting)
1. A Museblogger who loves to draw, read, and get so excited when Muse arrives that he foams at the mouth
2. Draco stingicus a type of dragon that has a poisinus stinger at the end of its tail, found mainly on the vast continent of Forestia imagened by Marcus S.
will send pic. at later date
11 – you sure you spelled that right? teehee
Acquileir- A being that takes on the form of an animal that embodies a certain quality in the mind of the observer, depending on the qualities of the acquileir. For instance, a stubborn acquileir would probably appear to be a mule or donkey, if mules embody stubbornness in the mind of the observer. Nobody knows what they look like when they are not observed, as this malleability of form extends also to any photographs of acquileirn.
Akhalantiir: (ak-ha-LON-teer)
A jellylike being filled with hydrogen, floating in the atmosphere. Their skin is usually a bright silver or gold, and they can grow to be about the size of a punchbuggy. They are responsible for approximately 49% of UFO sightings in the world each year. They are, in fact, sentient, but they communicate telepathically and have never been known to show any interest in humans. Found mainly on the gas giants, with a small colony on Earth.
crrrruuurrrruuucrrr: the noise that the windows on my house make whenever these pounding winds come through. The wind-chill must be 0 or lower. I don’t know if I will find any good thermals today.
But, the sun is out, so I may just stay on my normal perch.
8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8) 8)
criselephantine-pronounciation:kris-elluh-fan-teen
definition:encrusted in golden ivory.
mojibake- the phenomenon of incorrect, unreadable characters shown when computer software fails to render a text correctly according to its associated character encoding.

quagga- a subspecies of the Plains Zebra, extinct since the 19th century.
zyzyva: Any of various tropical American weevils of the genus zyzzyva, often destructive to plants.
Last word in the book.
hahaha!85!: yoo tells me hoo I ams!
46- D’you know what would be interesting?
If the musebloggerz sent in fantasized pics of themselves, so we can see what they (want us) to look like! Fun!
55- now there’s an idea
Nyaha! As promised in the March Medley:
Bigswordexia (Big-sord-EX-iah)
When a plot in a video game or movie (generally an RPG) centers around some kid with amnesia, a dark past, and some freakishly powerful weapon, usually a giant sword.
Some examples of video games that display bigswordexia are FFVII and Kingdom Hearts.
*bricked*
Nillybuckbuck (Nilly-BUCK-buck)
A form of mutant squirrel.
Nort (NORT)
A form of mutant chipmunk.
Correct me if I am wrong, fellow Nillybuckbuck.
for more made up words, go onto the open dictionary at merriam webster’s website. Its absolutely hilarious, although it has nothing on this thread, of course
infirmblah
When you’re so sick you don’t care what’s going on
assophobia: fear of donkeys (just made it up)
55- As Prarilius Canix, I have turquoise hair and wear a tan greatcoat with pictures of prairie dogs on it. Also, a wide leather belt with a pie flintlock in it and a tricorn hat. I look nothing like that in real life, of course.
As Elentari, I dress in flowing robes, elvin jewels, and galoshes.
are we allowed to invent words?
Invent to your heart’s content.
sweet!!!!!!! hey u rhymed!! ur a poet and u didnt even know it!!! whoa that rhymed too!!! i should be a poet…
*PIE*
*MEAT PIE*
*FISH PIE*
*gasp* Has this thread been opened by request, or did it merely escape the horrors of All Fool’s Day? I would say the latter, save for the fact that not a soul has posted on this noble thread in the past two months.
I don’t think I’ll ever be able to think of PC without turquoise hair now.
(69) Alice, did you read the original Ships’ Logs thread? It’s well worth the effort. Captain Canix’s hair turned turquoise in comment 158, though my favorite moment was when he strode unexpectedly onto the August Random Thread.
70- No kidding. Why don’t you came back to the Black-footed Ferret?
Guys! This is the only thread that passed through the bunny invasion unscathed! Don’t you think we should – I don’t know – honor it or something?
I came here during the bunny invasion. It was closed.
Oh. Well, it appears to have opened up again, probably the GAPAs re-opened it along with many of the newer threads. Interesting.
I don’t get it. Prarilus Canix made a post with a really long name, so I clicked on it on the recent comments sidebar and it took me here.
Hee hee… [emperor_palpatine] Everything is proceeding as I have foreseen! [/emperor_palpatine] GAPAs, you erased my post, so you must have taken my suggestion seriously. Certain Musers are in for a real surprise…
*gasp* What? I’m scared . . . .
Did your dastardly plan already happen, PC?
What was the long name you posted with?
Muhuhahahahahahahaha….
78- I am not presently at liberty to divulge that information, as it might compromise our agents in the field.
Argh the suspense is killing me!!! When will it happen? Can you divulge that?
Kamikaze Watermelon: a watermelon indigenous to the animated “The Demented Cartoon Movie”. It is seen whenever someone says the words “kamikaze watermelon”, and will instantly fly into the nearest brick wall or head, whatever the case may be. It has, in fact, been proven to be faster than kamikaze cars, winning a race. Whenever it comes, it is accompanied by a very short fanfare, which consists of two notes of one pitch and then one a bit higher than those. It is dangerous, having, when it ran into a head, knocked it off.
PC!!! Please tell us! We beg of you!
By the way, this is a real word:barophobia: fear of gravity.
ichthyophobia: fear of fish
anablephobia: fear of looking up
aphenphosmphobia: fear of being touched
arachibutyrophobia: fear of peanut butter sticking to the top of your mouth
rhytiphobia: fear of wrinkles
russophobia: fear of Russians (they are pretty scary! Heehee)
Phobophobia: fear of phobias
Novercaphobia: fear of your step-mother
Hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobia: fear of long words, or hippos(some sources say long words, while others say hippos)
80- If I did, the entire plan would be ruined.
[Y]
Flummery:
A porridge made with flour, meal, or (I believe) oatmeal.
Owling:
The act of smuggling sheep or wool out of England.
I wear a green 1770s-type dress that miraculously morphs into breeches and a blouse whenever I have to actually do something. My hair retains its normal color. (Brown.)
82, 84- *evil laughter* It’s under way. There’s nothing anyone can do to stop it.
Well don’t tease us. And what does [Y] have to do with anything?
87 – I think Prarilus Canix is messing with the GAPA’s powers. Either that, or he’s just being weird and is getting us all riled up over nothing and then he’ll laugh at us when we go berserk. Or he figured out how to post your name in green. Or he’s just trying to bring us all here and post on this relatively dead thread.
I was already here, waiting for some action. He can’t be messing with the GAPAs powers, because I’m sure the GAPAs wouldn’t agree. Right, GAPAs?
Oh lord the suspense is killing me.
*pies PC*
As far as I can tell, the GAPAs retain their monopoly. Nothing unusual is happening on this end.
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
PC! Why must you torture us so?!?!?!
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *dies of suspense*
Wow. I should stop being so dramatic. I always read through my posts and conclude that I sounded like a complete idiot. Then I have to make amendments, and look like even more of an idiot.
So, yeah. I’m not generally a very dramatic person.
(93) MuseBlog: a safe place to sound like a complete idiot.
Believe me, you’re not alone in feeling that way.
I’m starting to think my second theory is correct.
95- And then I’ll feel like even more of a complete idiot. *smacks head* Maybe I’ll go to bed now . . .
The [Y] means the question in my post was zapped and replaced with the letter I specified to mean “yes.”
Trust me, something is going to happen. Next year.
97- Next year? *feels like an idiot* Okay. Clearly I was overreacting. You are communicating secretly with the GAPAs about a dastardly plan that won’t happen till next year.
Well, at least I’m not dying of suspense anymore, because if I was I’d be in big trouble.
You know, anybody who really needs to communicate with us in private can always just send e-mail.
99- Got it. I have some ideas for “It.”
98- You weren’t overreacting. Trust me. In fact, you were probably behaving in a calmer manner than most MBers will when the plan is unveiled.
Yes, but I think PC is just teasing us. *throws scathing glance at PC*
Wait . . . you said earlier that nothing unusual was happening. Therefore, he is just teasing us! That’s not very nice, PC!
I have probably never felt dumber than on this thread. All my posts contradict all the others, and I constantly say things I wish I hadn’t.
101- You confuse the tense. He said “nothing unusual is happening”, not “nothing unusual will happen.” Big difference.
Oh god. I need to learn to stay off this thread. “Next year” is a very long ways away. However, if it’s truly like you say, then the longer the wait the better. But still . . . Please tell me it’s not like attack of the HPBs.
Wait a second, PC!! I thought you said that your plan was underway. But now, you are saying something will happen NEXT YEAR. What is going on?
BTW, I ahve always wondered, how did you decide on your name Prarilius Canix? I might have already asked u this, but refresh my memory.
104- I can say with perfect truth that it’s not AT ALL like the attack of the HPBs.
105- It is underway, as in “being planned.”
106- I liked prairie dogs when I first came here, so I called myself Captain Cynomys. Cynomys is the scientific name for prairie dog. After the Pie War, however, I thought I would change my name. I had been reading the Edge Chronicles lately, so I changed it to an Edge-esque version of “prairie dog.”
100 – If the HPBs are going to take over MuseBlog again next year on April 1 I will ****** **** ***.
Oh wait you just said it has nothing to do with a bunny attack.
I notice that if you search for encylopedia, it says “Not found.” Have you removed this thread from the rest of the blog, GAPAs?
Apparently not, because it still appears in the Nonrandom Craziness section.
Oops. I was searching for “encylopedia” by mistake.
If there’s no results, the search engine should say “Check your spelling!”
Thanks for considering my suggestions, Administrators. (You don’t have to zap this post: any confidential information will be sent by e-mail.) I know any idea you come up with will be in true Muserly spirit. If it’s no longer a divisive issue, so much the better- MB will be a more peaceful place.
Argh! Answer me this one thing: Will it compromise the RRRs? I fervently hope not.
Stop being so secret like that!
115- I honestly don’t know.
116- Would you rather I gave it all away?
Oooh, I was a fool to ever come back here! I was doing so well, until I decided to go and see whether there were any new comments related to Canix’s scheme! And of course there weren’t, but now I’m worried. *bites lip nervously*
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
“The August random thread keeps getting hotter, with no relief in sight. Or is there?”
On that note, I would like to suggest a name for the next thread: September Splash.
Is “It” still being considered, or have the GAPAs come up with a different idea?
On second thought, don’t tell me. I want to be surprised.
Wow. Nobody posts here anymore. This would be a good application for a Muse Wiki.
I have a good idea. We can turn this into that MB Eras thing that I suggested.
I shall begin by reading the first ten threads created.
From what I’ve read of my ten, it seems that the MBers quickly got over the GABOOMBA format and immediately acclimatized to the blog. There were relatively few newbies in those days- all GABOOMBA veterans. It could be called the Post-GABOOMBA era, but another major trend in those days was reading in all its forms. I think the best title would be the Literary Epoch. However, this is only tentative, and I still have about four threads to go.
It would help if someone else came to this thread.
Somebody click here and go down to 122, please.
I’ll help, but what do you want me to do?
I’ll help too. What do you need?
125, 126-
1. Go to What’s Here.
2. Scroll all the way down.
3. Start with the eleventh thread from the bottom and read it. Repeat until you reach the twentieth thread from the bottom.
4. Post a complete report of trends, themes and styles on the threads that you read.
The first person to do this is awarded 5 spdzk points.
Guess I’m keeping all my spdzk points.
No, wait, I just thought of something.
The next time someone else posts, he or she will receive 1 spdzk point. When someone posts a report as outlined in 127, he or she will receive 5 spdzk points. This will continue until I no longer have any spdzk points.
yes, lots of poetry instead of pies for morbid’s birthday.
the manga/anime treand started here.
we saw robort and rosanne
and lots of poetrey for elentri’s birthday too
they updated the list of links
the first HP/Muse combination came into being.
mostly harmless started back up.
this felt like alicle or you were cloned and spread around the blog.
next ten!
128- Oh no you’re not.
These ten posts cover the first two threads to wish people a Happy Birthday, but neither were a general Birthday thread like we have now. A trend I noticed: People seemed eager to help when help was needed. Also, several of those threads had less than 100 posts, and were only closed in fall 2006.
Is that good enough to get 5 spdzk points back?
Took me too long to type my last post….
130- OK, so now we’ve done twenty? I think we’re still solidly in the Literary Epoch.
I’m off to categorize the next five or so- I’m kind of busy.
countined like this for quite a while
571 were writen during the first month.
ebeth came, and HPB were spotted.
131- It is indeed. Thanks for the report, it gives us more insight into the nuances of the Literary Epoch.
134- Find the point where trends start to change. I’ll work on it too.
Wow. Can I start working on the history of pie wielding, war, and welcome?
137- It could be a subsidiary department of the MuseBlog Archaeological Project, yes.
Ah. I see. *dosn’t*
But I shall work on my new archeoligicalike dig/search/project thingy tomarrow. I have *dun dun dun* Thread Catching Up to do.
here is something cool: at first, only rob spoke in italics. roseanna didn’t at first, even as a GAPA.
i’d say it start to be a middle area at “the anti-chatroom”.
and by the time of “science” (which got 82 comments, and the new science theard has 81!) the GAMBOOMA.
I FOUND A POST IN ORANGE! W00T! HERE IT IS: https://musefanpage.com/blog/?p=133 . post 60.
this is taking a while. I’m just glanceing at the theards, so more stuff is needed.
Whoa. The orange post=pwnage.
So, when does the next era seem to start?
Cool! I’ve just found red letters on the Blog!
142- (Look at post #27).
I am sorry I’m not contributing to this much. I will from Friday onward. Skool is bad.
Hello all. I’d like to help. Where should I start?
What threads should I start reading at?
148- Ah. Start reading at the twenty-first thread and continue to the thirtieth.
149- Thank you.
Thread # 21 is “Any Parents Online?”
It only had sixteen posts, spread from August 2005 to April 2006. The first post was five days after the thread was created.
One of the posts (March 2, 2006) was by Cedar about his Muse movie (you come across these posts a lot in old threads).
Thread # 22: “Bagpipes”
42 posts, from August 2005 to October 2006. Comment 4 was by Dana Mannino. The topic didn’t stay on bagpipes for very long; by comment 23, it had moved to asbestos.
Two strangers appeared almost simultaneously (okay, their comments were in a row. They were actually several months apart). I think they were both adults.
That’s all.
I’ll do the other ones later.
151- I appreciate your hard work, but you don’t have to be THAT specific. Just read them all and post a general summary of trends, styles and topics.
Do you think we’re still in the Literary Epoch (people are usually helpful, most blog inhabitants are what we now consider oldbies, and books, manga and poetry are often discussed?)
yes.
152- Yeah.
I think the Literary Epoch is too long to be considered an Epoch. Let’s call it an Era.
Once Alice has finished thread 30, I shall start on 31 thru 40.
Okay. There are still separate birthday threads for everyone, no threads have a lot of posts, most of them have a few posts from long after the thread expired. Arthurian Legends. A few of these have to do with Muse itself.
Okay. Enough now. I am faced with the September 2005 random thread, 163 comments.
The posts begin to shrink on September Free-For-All – or perhaps people just begin to notice. No one seems to mind (what a novel concept!).
People are still allowed to post links.
Lots of newbies suddenly appear.
I’m done. POSOC can read 31-40 now.
The Literary Era begins to fade out at Hurricane Katrina and has almost vanished at Basic HTML Tutorial. Posts become shorter, slightly more random, and less focused on books/writing/manga and related topics.
POSOC, it’s almost the new year, when will your plan go into effect? (The plan was mentioned earlier on this thread.) If it won’t go into effect, would you please tell me what it was?
161- I won’t know if it will go into effect until the date* on which it may or may not go into effect.
*Which I can’t tell you either.
Someone needs to read from “Cicada? The Slam?” to “Writing.”
I think we’re at the tail end of the Literary Era by Dragonseye, but that remains to be determined.
63- I will!
*waits for what’s here*
*it is here*
cicada? the slam? was mildly literary
talk like a pirate was short, choppy posts
the two grant O’s how to s were literary
not so much with september issue links
books and movies is a snapshot of several
dreams is literary
so is october issue contents (note there was no spoiler warning)
as was writing
I think that from Hurricane Katrina onward there’s a series of breaks or interruptions in the continuity of the Literary Era. Let’s call the period we’re in now the First Hiatus.
165- Okay.
I believe that the First Hiatus probably ended at September Issue Links, returning to a more consistent Literary Era.
Scratch that. According to my recent research, the Hiatus continues up to Paul Baker’s birthday. Someone needs to read Round Robin Writing and the nine successive threads.
Er…er… homework….
*pokes Canix* Is it the date yet?
Argh. *waits impatiently*
170 – The date for what?
Heh. Have you guys ever heard the word “cornobbled”? It’s archeaic, and it means “hit with a fish”.
172 – Cornobbled? I can just imagine that.
“I’m so mad I could cornobble you!”
171- His top-secret PLAN that has been driving me crazy for months.
174 – Oh yeah, I remember now.
heck with hitting someone with a fish, whats a word for hitting someone with a pie?
It is not yet the date. *giggles maniacally*
172 – Cornobbled? *looks up* It’s not in the unabridged dictionary.
177- Just for that, I will pie you. *pies*
177 – Well how long is it going to take? -meow impatiently-
Great, Alice, now your impatience is wearing off on me.
180- If I told you, I’d give it all away! *skips*
181 – Like…a week? A month? A year? A decade? HINT P*EASE!
183 – Well, at least I know I stand a good chance at being alive when you reveal it.
Something to look forward to, I suppse.
184 – I never would have guesed.
POSOC!!!! Please?
This calls for desperate measures….
188- Like what?
188- I haven’t decided yet.
*189
I wonder if this complete disappearance was his plan. No, that’s not right. He wouldn’t have had to consult the GAPAs for that…
Now I’ll NEVER know. *sigh*
192- There’s always the chance that something unexpected happened and he didn’t have the time to tell us.
193- Yeah.
POSOC is so embroiled in the stories and RPGs of the blog that whenever he leaves it’s like, “Oh, drat, POSOC’s gone. *counts dead RRRs*”.
178- Of cours eit’s not in the dictionary. It was last in “use” during the civil war. (don’t ask)
194- I feel needed.
IT IS NOW LESS THAN SIX MONTHS till the (possible) implementation of my plan.
197- POSSIBLE implementation of your plan??? Are you saying that just to throw us off or are you telling us that the plan might not even happen?
198- It might or might not happen. You’ll know in a month. I’LL know in a month.
POSSIBLE!?
Even if it actually doesn’t get implemented, will you tell us what it was supposed to be?
200- Yes, I will. If it doesn’t get implemented.
We’ll know in *checks* less than a month.
One month!
Possible?
If it fails, you must tell us what it was.
Or else.
201, 202- *prepares to clobber PÖŞÎĈ with spike pies if he doesn’t tell us about or implement plan by the end of March*
203- Hey, I have no control over events now. Either they happen, or they don’t. I’m not responsible if it doesn’t happen on the date you want it to.
203- I’m a bit of a pacifist, myself. Maybe that’s why I spent most of my time on the pie war threads wondering how to get into the fray and then wondering how to get out.
But a pie or two hurts no one.
(Bystander): They’re becoming impatient! They’re beginning to riot!
All right, maybe this’ll pacify you- we’ll know in 15 or 20 days or somewhere in between.
206- OK. Everything nice is happening after Wednesday anyway, so it’s just another thing to add to the list… (Wednesday is when we do our monologues.)
Attention all. My plan will take place NEXT WEEK. Or it might not take place. You never know. *skips off*
208 – Aargh. Do you enjoy torturing us?
209- Yes.
Whatever. If it takes place before 3:45 on a school day, I’ll miss it anyway.
211- It’s not a short-term thing.
211 – Thank goodness I’m on Spring Break.
If my plan takes place, it will do so in less than five days.
WHAT WAS IT POSOC?
Tell us. Now.
*rings bell* POSOC! Time’s up! You have to tell us what your plan was now!
POSOC COME HERE!
I already told everyone my plan, but I guess you weren’t here. Very well.
In my deleted post, I made a suggestion to the GAPAs about the next April Fool’s Day. It would involve BEACON (Bunny Elimination And Capture On interNet) Initiative commandeering the blog and exterminating the bunnies. They said they would consider it. However, they came up with something even better (Disney commandeered blog.) That’s about it.
