Well, I survived through another week. Next Monday is feild day. I always like doing feild day stuff, but not around the students at my school. They make feild day miserable because I stink at sports and they make me feel like an idiot.

(continued from above post) Oh, and they’re also going to remove most of the religion ffrom the movie. I don’t see how they’re going to be able to film the third book at all that way. It’s a bit disapointing, if the books had been praising ‘The Authority’ they wouldn’t remove it, but because they say that God isn’t all that great they have to change things. I don’t like that.

Iorek looks the way I thought he would with the exception of the spikes on his helmet. I agree that Lyra looks a tad inncent, but I suppose we’d have to see her in action to fairly judge. I believe her name is Dakota Blue Richards. Also I thought Miss Coulter would have black hair.

Has anyone here ever read The Pearl by John Stienbeck? We just did in class and as an assignment, we have to come up with real songs that might fit the “songs” Kino hears in his head. I have ones for the song of the undersea, family, and evil, but I need one for the song of the pearl. I am already out of school, yesterday was my last day. I am so upset, my friend is moving to Indiana!!! I will miss her so much, she is awesome!!! *Sob*
Today I slept until ten, but had to get up becuase we had a rehearsal for our dance recital. Its coming, up, i am sooooo excited, but i am also nervous, becuase me and 3 other girls are in 8 dances, and 5 are in the first half, so we only have like 2 minutes to change, which is a luxery, but its hard when you dont want to smear your make-up or mess up your hair or get runs in your tights and when you have to change shoes and get your pointe shoes on and when you blank out until the music comes on and your afraid you will mess up big time and fall in front of everyone including guys and girls your own age and when you want to do perfectly!!! Ok, im done. *sigh* Is anyone else extremely nervous/excited about something?

If they took out the religion part, then they might be able to make a very stilted version of the first one, but the other two would be straying hopelessly from the plot. So hopelessly, in fact, that if they didn’t keep the characters names and the name of the book, then you wouldn’t be able to recognize it. After all, angels, fallen or otherwise, are prominent throughout the second and third books, and then of course there’s that scene with God…
I think that if they plan to make a movie of HDM, they should take it all, controversial religion stuff included. The whole kit and kaboodle.

Golden Compass discussion-I’ve read the books, but I barely even knew there was a movie, much less one coming out soon. Maybe I’ll go with one of my normal friends who likes going to movies. Otherwise, I won’t see the books ruined.
Yesterday was Music In The Parks. My band got second in its class and my school got a spirit award.Then we got to be at Six Flags for half the day instead of school. ‘Twas joy. Even though it was around 90 degrees. I still feel like it should be 60 or 70 degrees, and when it was, I felt it should have been in the 50s. I want my town to be transported, as a whole, to Canada.

golden compass movie? ooh, i love that book. fingers crossed they don’t screw it up
so believe it or not, today was my first ever actual paintball game. it was bill’s sweet 16. funniest part-me losing my shoe in the mud in the woods (but i totally pwned the other 2 games in the woods because i took my shoes off and i know instinctively what not to step on. i’ve had a lot of barefoot in the woods experience.) Most painful part-in the last game, it ended up phil and rico against me (it was boys vs girls) and phil was on one side, rico was on the other and there was this small little space behind a bunker (it was only like half a bunker really, because of the angles) so basically if i moved at all, i would be hit. well i must’ve moved while i was shooting because phil hit me in the thigh but it didn’t explode (which means it hurt like hell for a couple seconds) so i was hopping around like “ow!” and rico shot me in the arm. (it doesn’t count unless it explodes) most amazing moment-me shooting andy (this was at the mounds) and just grazing his hair (he has an amazing jewfro type thing and the paintball went right through it) megan got something like that, but it hit her goggles and basically sprayed her hair yellow so it looked like highlights.
anyhoo, it was a pretty sweet sweet 16. so how is everybody here? i’ve been coming pretty sporadically.

Maybe by the time they make The Subtle Knife and The Amber Spyglass they’ll have realized that you can’t cut out the religion bits from it.

You know the Who’s Here page? (Of course you do. Obviously.) But anyways, it’s really long. (You knew that too. I’m sounding like a complete idiot here. Why don’t I just get to the point?) Okay, here’s the point: A lot of the people on the Who’s Here page haven’t been on in about a year. (Or other ridiculously long space of time.) It gives the impression of a huge population, when there aren’t really that many people.
There is a point in here somewhere! It may be kind of hard to find, though.
Oh yes. Well, I was reading some posts that say there are so many people on the blog, etc. (It generally goes along with the posts about the good old Gaboomba days. Ooh, that sounded rude. Sorry.) Well, maybe I or someone else should make a list of active MBers, so we can see how many people really are on the MuseBog. We might find that it is not such a huge sum as assumed.

Learning the Highland pipe is HARD, it requires WAY too much lung pressure, and you end up with something you can’t play to friends unless you’re 100 yards away. The only advantage of the Highland pipe is that you get to strut around wearing a kilt. But she could do that anyway.

I’ve noticed that there are several main blog times: One in the earlyish morning, then one around 10:00-ish, then not many posts around noon, then the afternoon crowd, and E2MB+Alice on the west coast battling for the midnight post even though it’s only like nine where they live. But around eight through nine, it gets a little lonely around here.

I have been up like all night before becuase my parents hog the computer, and there isnt anyone on. It stinks. I’m not usuall on around 8 or 9 becuase i am at dance. And now i am freaking out becuase i just thought about dance and our recital that is coming up on the 12 and 13, oh man i gotta like practice now, i am in 8 dances, and we have to change like every 2 minutes!!! Help!!! *starts to twitch* I spaced in tap twice last year, and it was really noticible. Great now i am going to have the jitters all day!!! *starts to shake (kidding)* I am freaking out now!!! Better go before i hit the computer from frusteration.

Whoo, exams started, english today, which i didn’t actually study for at all, but it’s smallwood so of course it was ridiculous. although i actually did write a couple minutes after the bell, but that’s because my hand was hurting and i had to give it a few rests. i did just a couple lines short of two pages for both essays, so i was happy especially since they were both pretty easy/obvious so i made the points in like a page. but it had to be two pages, and smallwood actually cares about stuff like that.
Then i hung around for lunch, just because, and yeti and i talked about paintball the whole time (once again…yeti with any kind of gun is REALLY SCARY) and showed off our battle wounds Yeti said that after we left, some guy brought in a tank…half a trailer with various stuff added on. yeti played against a team of five hardcore army guys, which he said was intense. (he was in a diff group from us-he was with his church, of all organizations to play paintball. afterwards, everybody was like “what religion? because i’m converting!)
Then i went through the band room to get my bike and hung around a bit and talked to schneids. *snibble* i’m really sad about that…like really…like there are no words for it. :'( but we talked about marching band, and he told me the story of when he lost his ladder, and i looked at his little poster thingy the music parents made for him (we had all signed the frame, but never actually seen the pictures that went inside)
So tomorrow’s the band exam/practice/thingy, and that’s the last time schneids will be my teacher. well, besides graduation. but still :'(

There are two main times that I am on MuseBlog:
11:00 am BT* – 1:00 pm BT (which is now), because of easy access to school computers during that time, and
10:00 pm BT – 12:00 am BT, because that is when all of my siblings have gone to bed and I can actually spend some time here.
156 – I don’t exactly battle for the midnight post anymore (though in the past I have tried to), but that is the time when I have peace and quiet around my house.
Note: When it is midnight on MuseBlog, it is 10:00 pm for me. When it is 8:00 am – 9:00 am on MuseBlog, it is 6:00 am – 7:00 am for me, so I am waking up and getting ready for school.

170-Oh, yeah, I know what you mean…one time, I made a (unfinished) cool little image in Corel Draw just using squares and different colors…I made the different-colored squares over-lap, but still made it look like they were transparent, only I didn’t use the over-lap feature, and just colored the in-between squares how they needed to be colored in order to create the same effect…yeah, it’s kind of hard to explain, but, I’ll send you the unfinished picture via email, and tell me if you get it, and what you think, please…no need to post it, though, since it’s not complete.

Oh yes, blogging. I don’t know if I’ll ever start Facebook/myspace/LJ/xanga. Nevermind, I don’t think I could ever bring myself to do xanga or myspace. But it seems like my whole school has all of the above except LJ, and it’s a little ridiculous.
My favorite LJ ever was the Potterpuffs one. That was amazing. But last I checked it’s on haitus because the creator got fed up with internet meanies.
re: bagpipes: Those are awesome instruments! Once when I was at the boardwalk in Ocean City there was this teenage boy performing bagpipes. He was just blasting away at them as if he couldn’t care less what anyone thought. (And he wasn’t doing it for money, either, mind you.) People were coming out onto their oceanfront hotel balconies to listen, and when he was through with the song everyone in the near vicinity cheered. It was amazing. I love the sound of bagpipes. It’s so… moving, for lack of a better word.

My mom made yogurt. She scalded milk and mixed it up with a little bit of yogurt and put it in a jar which she then put in a hotbox. It’s very good, especially when you eat it with homecanned blackberries and crepes. It’s much milder than storebought yogurt.

I’ve got to get around to writing mine. I’m going to write write the first line of Pinball Wizard, and threaten to continually go farther into it if my letter’s not published. I was thinking in the shower, and realized that the GAPAs could have a use for museblog. com. Because some people have been commenting on the fact that the blog is too pointless for them, the GAPAs could make a new MB, maybe with a different name, and have it be not-pointless, and people could have only real topics. I would definitely go to it, as it sounds like a good idea to me. Not that I don’t like the MB, but I do sort of agree with people like Penty. Please consider it.

EWWW!! Ok, i was just typing on the romance and relationships thread and there was this HUGE FAT ANT crawling on my keyboard!!! We have a tiny ant problemo in the summer, and its gross!! A couple day ago i was walking into the kitchen with out shoes or socks, becuase i had just gotten home from pointe class or something, and i stepped on something, and it crunched so i just you know tried to get it off with my other foot becuase i was retrieving something from the fridge. It wouldnt come off so i looked….. *gasp* and it was a HUGE NASTY GROSS FAT ANT!!! I screamed and my dad had to get it off my foot. *Starts laughing* it was hilarious, becuase i am such a whimp/freak when it comes to bugs.

190-when i went to New York this past Thanksgiving we went to the Hershey store, and they had giant chocolate kisses as big as an average computer screen, and candy bars twice as big!!! 265- Yea, we have an ant problem too. Our house was basivly built on a Rather Large ant hill, and every spring/summer/fall we get them cawling everywhere.
Now the difference between our problems are that my mother decided that she was going to initiate me and my sister into the Death Squad (I kid you not), the primary goal of which is to squish any ant we come across. She even made buttons with a shoe over an ant and the whole circle with a slash through it around the ant. This story is 100% true. And I am yelled at every time I don’t squish one. This happens a lot.

The fact that I was watching a show called ‘Killer Ants’ on Discovery when one decided to crawl across my leg has not improved my image of them. That one didn’t seem very fearfull.

Tonight was the 8th grade moving up ceremony. I tied for the highest social studies average. I was depressed because I don’t want to grow up particularly. I want to go back and live in the fifth grade forever and be happy and innocent.

268- Rationally, that works, but I still flinch away from anything dark on the floor. Especially if it moves. Doubly especially if it’s one of those gray spiders about an inch long, only a really big one. They like scaring me at bad times. When everyone’s asleep and I’m on the computer. Once there was one in the shower and I had to wait forever for it to go away because I didn’t have any shoes nearby.

I am currently at war with the ants at my house. You see, the queening has recently happened. The queening is the name my brother and l have for the day when the queen eggs hatch and the queens fly out. Only one queen survives. After landing, the queen eats her wings. Anytime worker ants come across a queen after one has been selected, they must kill her. Anyway, the new queen thinks that it would be a good idea to start a major raid on the human household. So, in addition to vacumming them up in the house, l also attack outside. Our ants are dinky, though. The full sized queen, (yes, l’ve seen one and actually killed her,) is about the length of the H’s:

So, not too big. Don’t bug me about the anthropomorphism. In this war l’ve had a chance to study ant behavior, and they’re much smarter than other bugs. The can even farm aphids and tiddly bugs (little mites that shoot away when you try to squish them, unless you do it head on) I put ants and other bugs to tests of common sense, and the ants do waaaay better. Cows rule!

Hmm, cicadas. A few years back, they were supposed to come around here. I saw a grand total of one. Which was half-dead at the time. It was really quite depressing.
In other news, I so wish I could vote in the next election, but I’m still 16. I’ll be 17 by then, but still…gah! I wish to vote out the majority of our school board. Can you believe they’re trying to change us back to traditional scheduling again?!? Intensive is so much better, and I couldn’t get my APs to work proplerly without it. Neither could more or less anyone else. I also wish to vote out Barletta. Grrrr. Politics these days!

279- Oh yeah. I wouuld have ranted about the efore now, but we don’t have any where we are. A lot of the towns near us have the whole can’t-walk-3-staps-without-feeling-one-crunch, but they must really hate our yard or somethig, because I’ve only seen one possible one from a distance near our house. (We have about 7, 8 acres of land, though most of it’s underwater).
Oh, actually I think I saw mom squish one with her car before my tennis lesson. Ha, after the lesson when I got in the car she was like “I think I finnally saw a cicada! It was squashed on the pavement!” Me: “Mom, you ran that over before my lesson.” Mom: “Oh no!”
They’re a tad bigger than Mike and Ikes, though, from all the pictures.

Once a cicada got into my house and my cat found it before we could get it out. She bit the head off of it, and it screamed and like twitched for 5 mintutes, it was NASTY!!! It sat under a cardboard box in our dining room until my dad had a chance to get it out.

Is everybody going away… those of us who aren’t or are STILL IN SCHOOL UNTIL JULY 25TH will be lonely. I am so happy though. At our school, we have an awards system, where, throughout the year, you build up points in five different areas- Attendence, Merits (A different type of Points), Effort, Helping your house (think Harry Potter), and helping the school. And if when you add all those points up if you get more then twelve you get a GOLD! And if you get a GOLD then you get a day off school and get to go to one of the top theme parks in the country! For Free! Because the school pays for it! Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Oh, I’m so happy. Even though I am STILL IN SCHOOL UNTIL JULY 25th AND YOU ARE ALL OUT.

I had my eighth grade dance last night, and it was fun for the most part but there was so much drama. My friend Julie likes this guy Jack. Abby, a girl who I know, told Jack that Madisen, another friend, wanted to dance with him, without asking Madisen. When Abby told Madisen that Jack wanted to dance with her she walked off in the other direction, because Jack is Julie’s crush. And thn at the end of the dance Julie got all teary b/c Jack is moving to California at the end of the year and there are only five days of school left. She also put a note in his locker and had him sign her yearbook, but she’s afraid there’s not enough time. And then my friend Meghan is caught up between two guys, Mike and F’ros (I have no Idea how to spell his name) and she can’t decide which she likes but Mike is going to TJ next year so she’ll never see her again. And Jillie burst into tears and ran out of the room crying for an unknown reason. So. That was the dance. Oh, and this other kid Stephen likes me and was trying to pluck up the courage to ask me to dance (I know b/c his friends pushed him in my direction twice) but he is 6 inches shorter than me. SIX INCHES!! I am not exaggerating! So I kinda avoided him for th erest of the night b/c that would have been awkward. It was oh so much fun. (Saracasm)

I am having horriffic trouble with my sleep cycle. #1. I CAN’T FRICKIN GET TO SLEEP. #2. I was in California for four days. Then I cam eback to Illinois for two days. Now I’m in Michigan! AGGGH TIME CHANGES THEY BURN. #3. Hormones. #4. I just stopped listening to Harry Potter before I go to bed and I think my body is like dependent on it or something.
So last night I got to bed at 1. Night before that, 12:30. Night before THAT, 12:15. eeggghhh. And my mom says that if I can’t begin falling asleep she won’t send me to camp. Load of baloney, but, yeah.

I have never danced with anyone. one, becuase our school has carnival type things instead of dances, which get boring after a while, becuase they do play loud music in the gym, and i dance with my friends, but if anyone danced with a guy people would think it was wierd. And two, becuase my parents act like a i am a lovesick puppy any time a conversation even remotely relates to guys. so i am trapped. It stinks, and i often get really upset about it becuase i am a normal girl and are interested in guys. ARG!

Earlier today, instead of studying for finals (which I should have been doing), I read the entire random thread…the one which was about 700 posts long. I think it was in Feb. 2006, but I forget what it was called. It was quite fun, although a large segment of it was talking about rather depressing subjects. But it was fun to read nonetheless.

(344) I remember that so well! I was like, the only one up when that happened. We had interesting conversation. I think it’s in a computer thread.
We used to only have only one thread per month, but then one month it got reeally high-I remember over 1000, but that may have just been the total-so we started doing extras. Then people got in the habit of requesting them after 300 or so posts, and so it’s been 5 or six per month. But I think we’re starting to slow down-not sure about that-so it might be less. Personally, I think we could go to 500-600 without having problems loading, but I don’t really remember. I would prefer less random threads though, if possible, because there is less chance of breaking off conversations.

My eighth grade semi-formal was last night. I wore my duct tape dress. I was bored by the semiformal.
Highlights:
One girl said I was her hero
A DJ said he’d worn duct tape to his prom
everyone asked how long it took to make(two days or so)
the annoying guy I talk about didn’t say anything, but everytime he saw me he’d just stare for a few seconds and keep walking
It was weird that I could tell that people would look down my length, like starting at my head and viewing the length of my dress, it’s hard to describe.
I had to stand for three hours straight because it’s very difficult to sit in and it wrinkles much more permanently then other materials.
I actually left an hour early and then went to the fireworks at Community Day, which were uneventful only I was sad because I was looking for a friend I couldn’t find, and it’s near impossible to walk at a normal pace in the dress.

Actually you probably wouldn’t, but I can’t for the life of me think how you would pronounce it. We had graduation yesterday (pomp and circumstance fifty bazillion times, shoot me). dirty harry was there, being annoying as usual except that now that he’s a freshman he thinks he can swear (it sounds soooooo weird coming from him, especially when he says things like this “hey dammit that’s not very nice!” in his little squeaky voice. he has almost as annoying a voice as noah (han solo noah, not the one who’s always high. he graduated) and he’s sooooooooooo annooooying. anyhoo.)
we had the best speaker EVER-william’s brother frank, he graduated from snipville and he writes for the colbert report. we even got some advice from colbert, he said “just because you get a letter in the mail that says you were pre-approved for something doesn’t mean you have to sign up. it’s not legally binding” oh, and he did this one funny thing where he pulls out a speech that he supposedly wrote when he graduated just in case he was ever a speaker, and he flips through it and is like “ok, this page is just a rant about a grade i got in 9th grade english…and this page…and this page…and the whole speech. ok well i’m not going to read it, but ms. l*, if you’re out there, yes, i’m still mad about that” Everybody laughed of course, but the people who had had l* just completely cracked up and were like “ahaha…lamuth….hahahaha” and everybody who hadn’t had her was looking at us like “ok, it was funny but not THAT funny” and we were like “haha, you don’t know her, hahaha you didn’t have her hahahahaha”

I am already out of school, yesterday was my last day. I am so upset, my friend is moving to Indiana!!! I will miss her so much, she is awesome!!! *Sob*
Today I slept until ten, but had to get up becuase we had a rehearsal for our dance recital. Its coming, up, i am sooooo excited, but i am also nervous, becuase me and 3 other girls are in 8 dances, and 5 are in the first half, so we only have like 2 minutes to change, which is a luxery, but its hard when you dont want to smear your make-up or mess up your hair or get runs in your tights and when you have to change shoes and get your pointe shoes on and when you blank out until the music comes on and your afraid you will mess up big time and fall in front of everyone including guys and girls your own age and when you want to do perfectly!!! Ok, im done. *sigh* Is anyone else extremely nervous/excited about something?

If they took out the religion part, then they might be able to make a very stilted version of the first one, but the other two would be straying hopelessly from the plot. So hopelessly, in fact, that if they didn’t keep the characters names and the name of the book, then you wouldn’t be able to recognize it. After all, angels, fallen or otherwise, are prominent throughout the second and third books, and then of course there’s that scene with God…
I think that if they plan to make a movie of HDM, they should take it all, controversial religion stuff included. The whole kit and kaboodle.

Golden Compass discussion-I’ve read the books, but I barely even knew there was a movie, much less one coming out soon. Maybe I’ll go with one of my normal friends who likes going to movies. Otherwise, I won’t see the books ruined.
Yesterday was Music In The Parks. My band got second in its class and my school got a spirit award.Then we got to be at Six Flags for half the day instead of school. ‘Twas joy. Even though it was around 90 degrees. I still feel like it should be 60 or 70 degrees, and when it was, I felt it should have been in the 50s. I want my town to be transported, as a whole, to Canada.

so believe it or not, today was my first ever actual paintball game. it was bill’s sweet 16. funniest part-me losing my shoe in the mud in the woods (but i totally pwned the other 2 games in the woods because i took my shoes off and i know instinctively what not to step on. i’ve had a lot of barefoot in the woods experience.) Most painful part-in the last game, it ended up phil and rico against me (it was boys vs girls) and phil was on one side, rico was on the other and there was this small little space behind a bunker (it was only like half a bunker really, because of the angles) so basically if i moved at all, i would be hit. well i must’ve moved while i was shooting because phil hit me in the thigh but it didn’t explode (which means it hurt like hell for a couple seconds) so i was hopping around like “ow!” and rico shot me in the arm. (it doesn’t count unless it explodes) most amazing moment-me shooting andy (this was at the mounds) and just grazing his hair (he has an amazing jewfro type thing and the paintball went right through it) megan got something like that, but it hit her goggles and basically sprayed her hair yellow so it looked like highlights.
anyhoo, it was a pretty sweet sweet 16. so how is everybody here? i’ve been coming pretty sporadically.

Yesterday there was the school fair (didn’t go; I haven’t for a few years, actually) and then there was some sort of event, probably a wedding, at the park at the end of our street. Maybe by the time they make The Subtle Knife and The Amber Spyglass they’ll have realized that you can’t cut out the religion bits from it.

I posted above the treaty post, saying if that was changed I would sign, and somebody forgot to change it, so I did!!! But all I changed was the part saying the bad bunnies had to be on an island!!! There are NO bad bunnies, so why have that pointless part of the treaty in there???

You know the Who’s Here page? (Of course you do. Obviously.) But anyways, it’s really long. (You knew that too. I’m sounding like a complete idiot here. Why don’t I just get to the point?) Okay, here’s the point: A lot of the people on the Who’s Here page haven’t been on in about a year. (Or other ridiculously long space of time.) It gives the impression of a huge population, when there aren’t really that many people.
There is a point in here somewhere! It may be kind of hard to find, though.
Oh yes. Well, I was reading some posts that say there are so many people on the blog, etc. (It generally goes along with the posts about the good old Gaboomba days. Ooh, that sounded rude. Sorry.) Well, maybe I or someone else should make a list of active MBers, so we can see how many people really are on the MuseBog. We might find that it is not such a huge sum as assumed.
Why exactly did I just bother to type that out again? Yeah, anyway. It made more sense in my head.
The problem is MBers can leave for a month, be declared unactive and be forgotten about, then come back.

127 – Before it’s too late, tell her that there are lots of different bagpipes in the world. Nice bagpipes, like Northumbrians and Uilleans and Bourbonnais and cabrettes and zampognas and – oh, the list is endless. Learning the Highland pipe is HARD, it requires WAY too much lung pressure, and you end up with something you can’t play to friends unless you’re 100 yards away. The only advantage of the Highland pipe is that you get to strut around wearing a kilt. But she could do that anyway.

I’ve noticed that there are several main blog times: One in the earlyish morning, then one around 10:00-ish, then not many posts around noon, then the afternoon crowd, and E2MB+Alice on the west coast battling for the midnight post even though it’s only like nine where they live. But around eight through nine, it gets a little lonely around here.
I have been up like all night before becuase my parents hog the computer, and there isnt anyone on. It stinks. I’m not usuall on around 8 or 9 becuase i am at dance. And now i am freaking out becuase i just thought about dance and our recital that is coming up on the 12 and 13, oh man i gotta like practice now, i am in 8 dances, and we have to change like every 2 minutes!!! Help!!! *starts to twitch* I spaced in tap twice last year, and it was really noticible. Great now i am going to have the jitters all day!!! *starts to shake (kidding)* I am freaking out now!!! Better go before i hit the computer from frusteration.
Whoo, exams started, english today, which i didn’t actually study for at all, but it’s smallwood so of course it was ridiculous. although i actually did write a couple minutes after the bell, but that’s because my hand was hurting and i had to give it a few rests. i did just a couple lines short of two pages for both essays, so i was happy especially since they were both pretty easy/obvious so i made the points in like a page. but it had to be two pages, and smallwood actually cares about stuff like that.
Then i hung around for lunch, just because, and yeti and i talked about paintball the whole time (once again…yeti with any kind of gun is REALLY SCARY) and showed off our battle wounds
Yeti said that after we left, some guy brought in a tank…half a trailer with various stuff added on. yeti played against a team of five hardcore army guys, which he said was intense. (he was in a diff group from us-he was with his church, of all organizations to play paintball. afterwards, everybody was like “what religion? because i’m converting!)
Then i went through the band room to get my bike and hung around a bit and talked to schneids. *snibble* i’m really sad about that…like really…like there are no words for it. :'( but we talked about marching band, and he told me the story of when he lost his ladder, and i looked at his little poster thingy the music parents made for him (we had all signed the frame, but never actually seen the pictures that went inside)
So tomorrow’s the band exam/practice/thingy, and that’s the last time schneids will be my teacher. well, besides graduation. but still :'(

I just came to say I was going to graduate on Wed. and was worried about it.
There are two main times that I am on MuseBlog:
11:00 am BT* – 1:00 pm BT (which is now), because of easy access to school computers during that time, and
10:00 pm BT – 12:00 am BT, because that is when all of my siblings have gone to bed and I can actually spend some time here.
156 – I don’t exactly battle for the midnight post anymore (though in the past I have tried to), but that is the time when I have peace and quiet around my house.
Note: When it is midnight on MuseBlog, it is 10:00 pm for me. When it is 8:00 am – 9:00 am on MuseBlog, it is 6:00 am – 7:00 am for me, so I am waking up and getting ready for school.

re: bagpipes: Those are awesome instruments! Once when I was at the boardwalk in Ocean City there was this teenage boy performing bagpipes. He was just blasting away at them as if he couldn’t care less what anyone thought. (And he wasn’t doing it for money, either, mind you.) People were coming out onto their oceanfront hotel balconies to listen, and when he was through with the song everyone in the near vicinity cheered. It was amazing. I love the sound of bagpipes. It’s so… moving, for lack of a better word.

My mom made yogurt. She scalded milk and mixed it up with a little bit of yogurt and put it in a jar which she then put in a hotbox. It’s very good, especially when you eat it with homecanned blackberries and crepes. It’s much milder than storebought yogurt.

(197) Homemade yogurt is the best! A few years ago, I experimented with making it from nonfat half-and-half. Amazing stuff. The texture is more like sour cream than yogurt, but the taste is very smooth and rich.

I was thinking in the shower, and realized that the GAPAs could have a use for museblog. com. Because some people have been commenting on the fact that the blog is too pointless for them, the GAPAs could make a new MB, maybe with a different name, and have it be not-pointless, and people could have only real topics. I would definitely go to it, as it sounds like a good idea to me. Not that I don’t like the MB, but I do sort of agree with people like Penty. Please consider it.

EWWW!! Ok, i was just typing on the romance and relationships thread and there was this HUGE FAT ANT crawling on my keyboard!!! We have a tiny ant problemo in the summer, and its gross!! A couple day ago i was walking into the kitchen with out shoes or socks, becuase i had just gotten home from pointe class or something, and i stepped on something, and it crunched so i just you know tried to get it off with my other foot becuase i was retrieving something from the fridge. It wouldnt come off so i looked….. *gasp* and it was a HUGE NASTY GROSS FAT ANT!!! I screamed and my dad had to get it off my foot. *Starts laughing* it was hilarious, becuase i am such a whimp/freak when it comes to bugs.
On the subject of books, Em is giving Mercedes Lackey a second try. *wags finger* Don’t screw up this time! Okay, so I’m just giving her a hard time. The first time I picked up one of her books, I was too young for them. That was only like, a year or so ago…
190-when i went to New York this past Thanksgiving we went to the Hershey store, and they had giant chocolate kisses as big as an average computer screen, and candy bars twice as big!!! 265- Yea, we have an ant problem too. Our house was basivly built on a Rather Large ant hill, and every spring/summer/fall we get them cawling everywhere.
Now the difference between our problems are that my mother decided that she was going to initiate me and my sister into the Death Squad (I kid you not), the primary goal of which is to squish any ant we come across. She even made buttons with a shoe over an ant and the whole circle with a slash through it around the ant. This story is 100% true. And I am yelled at every time I don’t squish one. This happens a lot.

I am currently at war with the ants at my house. You see, the queening has recently happened. The queening is the name my brother and l have for the day when the queen eggs hatch and the queens fly out. Only one queen survives. After landing, the queen eats her wings. Anytime worker ants come across a queen after one has been selected, they must kill her. Anyway, the new queen thinks that it would be a good idea to start a major raid on the human household. So, in addition to vacumming them up in the house, l also attack outside. Our ants are dinky, though. The full sized queen, (yes, l’ve seen one and actually killed her,) is about the length of the H’s:

So, not too big. Don’t bug me about the anthropomorphism. In this war l’ve had a chance to study ant behavior, and they’re much smarter than other bugs. The can even farm aphids and tiddly bugs (little mites that shoot away when you try to squish them, unless you do it head on) I put ants and other bugs to tests of common sense, and the ants do waaaay better.
I’m currently in costume as Buster Keaton. At school. My math teacher gave me a strange look before I abandoned her class for the 1st period Gatsby party. Wheeeee.

Can you believe they’re trying to change us back to traditional scheduling again?!? Intensive is so much better, and I couldn’t get my APs to work proplerly without it. (We have about 7, 8 acres of land, though most of it’s underwater).
Oh, actually I think I saw mom squish one with her car before my tennis lesson. Ha, after the lesson when I got in the car she was like “I think I finnally saw a cicada! It was squashed on the pavement!” Me: “Mom, you ran that over before my lesson.” Mom: “Oh no!”

Once a cicada got into my house and my cat found it before we could get it out. She bit the head off of it, and it screamed and like twitched for 5 mintutes, it was NASTY!!! It sat under a cardboard box in our dining room until my dad had a chance to get it out.

Is everybody going away… those of us who aren’t or are STILL IN SCHOOL UNTIL JULY 25TH will be lonely. I am so happy though. At our school, we have an awards system, where, throughout the year, you build up points in five different areas- Attendence, Merits (A different type of Points), Effort, Helping your house (think Harry Potter), and helping the school. And if when you add all those points up if you get more then twelve you get a GOLD! And if you get a GOLD then you get a day off school and get to go to one of the top theme parks in the country! For Free! Because the school pays for it! Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! Oh, I’m so happy. Even though I am STILL IN SCHOOL UNTIL JULY 25th AND YOU ARE ALL OUT.

My school ends the twentieth. In the meantime, however, all the final tests are done and I can fart around for 2 weeks.
I had my eighth grade dance last night, and it was fun for the most part but there was so much drama. My friend Julie likes this guy Jack. Abby, a girl who I know, told Jack that Madisen, another friend, wanted to dance with him, without asking Madisen. When Abby told Madisen that Jack wanted to dance with her she walked off in the other direction, because Jack is Julie’s crush. And thn at the end of the dance Julie got all teary b/c Jack is moving to California at the end of the year and there are only five days of school left. She also put a note in his locker and had him sign her yearbook, but she’s afraid there’s not enough time. And then my friend Meghan is caught up between two guys, Mike and F’ros (I have no Idea how to spell his name) and she can’t decide which she likes but Mike is going to TJ next year so she’ll never see her again. And Jillie burst into tears and ran out of the room crying for an unknown reason. So. That was the dance. Oh, and this other kid Stephen likes me and was trying to pluck up the courage to ask me to dance (I know b/c his friends pushed him in my direction twice) but he is 6 inches shorter than me. SIX INCHES!! I am not exaggerating! So I kinda avoided him for th erest of the night b/c that would have been awkward. It was oh so much fun. (Saracasm)

I am having horriffic trouble with my sleep cycle. #1. I CAN’T FRICKIN GET TO SLEEP. #2. I was in California for four days. Then I cam eback to Illinois for two days. Now I’m in Michigan! AGGGH TIME CHANGES THEY BURN. #3. Hormones. #4. I just stopped listening to Harry Potter before I go to bed and I think my body is like dependent on it or something.
So last night I got to bed at 1. Night before that, 12:30. Night before THAT, 12:15. eeggghhh. And my mom says that if I can’t begin falling asleep she won’t send me to camp. Load of baloney, but, yeah.

(315) I’ve danced with guys who were a foot shorter. I always figured a boy got points for bravery if he asked a taller girl to dance.
I’ve never danced with anyone. My mom and little sister (especially the latter) tried to get me to go to the school valentine’s day dance, but I refused on the grounds that they would likely be playing horrible music.
320: As a matter of fact, I do. It’s a good magazine, and the humour is often very enjoyable.
322- At cotollion nearly every boy was shorter. They always asked us to dance (except for one night) and usually they grabbed the first girl they saw.I agree though, they do get points for nerve.
I don’t quite see why it is so big a deal if a boy is shorter than the girl he is dancing with. It seems a bit silly of a thing to be worried about to me.
I have never danced with anyone. one, becuase our school has carnival type things instead of dances, which get boring after a while, becuase they do play loud music in the gym, and i dance with my friends, but if anyone danced with a guy people would think it was wierd. And two, becuase my parents act like a i am a lovesick puppy any time a conversation even remotely relates to guys. so i am trapped. It stinks, and i often get really upset about it becuase i am a normal girl and are interested in guys. ARG!

Earlier today, instead of studying for finals (which I should have been doing), I read the entire random thread…the one which was about 700 posts long. I think it was in Feb. 2006, but I forget what it was called. It was quite fun, although a large segment of it was talking about rather depressing subjects. But it was fun to read nonetheless.

(344) I remember that so well! I was like, the only one up when that happened. We had interesting conversation. I think it’s in a computer thread.
We used to only have only one thread per month, but then one month it got reeally high-I remember over 1000, but that may have just been the total-so we started doing extras. Then people got in the habit of requesting them after 300 or so posts, and so it’s been 5 or six per month. But I think we’re starting to slow down-not sure about that-so it might be less. Personally, I think we could go to 500-600 without having problems loading, but I don’t really remember. I would prefer less random threads though, if possible, because there is less chance of breaking off conversations.

My eighth grade semi-formal was last night. I wore my duct tape dress. I was bored by the semiformal.
Highlights:
One girl said I was her hero

everyone asked how long it took to make(two days or so)
the annoying guy I talk about didn’t say anything, but everytime he saw me he’d just stare for a few seconds and keep walking
It was weird that I could tell that people would look down my length, like starting at my head and viewing the length of my dress, it’s hard to describe.
I had to stand for three hours straight because it’s very difficult to sit in and it wrinkles much more permanently then other materials.
I actually left an hour early and then went to the fireworks at Community Day, which were uneventful only I was sad because I was looking for a friend I couldn’t find, and it’s near impossible to walk at a normal pace in the dress.
Pan’s Labyrinth was awesome, FS! I have a thing about needles though, so I was like, eugh…

Oh. It’s fifty-eight letters long. *feels stupid* I think you would pronounce it something like Lan-fair-pool-goo-un-gull-gog-er-uch-oo-uhrn-drob-ool-ant-uh-sil-i-o-go-och. Actually you probably wouldn’t, but I can’t for the life of me think how you would pronounce it. All I can remember about Welsh pronunciation is that y sounds like uh, w sounds like oo, and dd sounds like th. Double-l must mean something but I can’t think what.
It’s pretty useless trying to pronouce welsh words it you aren’t welsh. The poor citizens are vowel-deprived.

We had graduation yesterday (pomp and circumstance fifty bazillion times, shoot me). dirty harry was there, being annoying as usual except that now that he’s a freshman he thinks he can swear (it sounds soooooo weird coming from him, especially when he says things like this “hey dammit that’s not very nice!” in his little squeaky voice. he has almost as annoying a voice as noah (han solo noah, not the one who’s always high. he graduated) and he’s sooooooooooo annooooying. anyhoo.)
we had the best speaker EVER-william’s brother frank, he graduated from snipville and he writes for the colbert report. we even got some advice from colbert, he said “just because you get a letter in the mail that says you were pre-approved for something doesn’t mean you have to sign up. it’s not legally binding” oh, and he did this one funny thing where he pulls out a speech that he supposedly wrote when he graduated just in case he was ever a speaker, and he flips through it and is like “ok, this page is just a rant about a grade i got in 9th grade english…and this page…and this page…and the whole speech. ok well i’m not going to read it, but ms. l*, if you’re out there, yes, i’m still mad about that” Everybody laughed of course, but the people who had had l* just completely cracked up and were like “ahaha…lamuth….hahahaha” and everybody who hadn’t had her was looking at us like “ok, it was funny but not THAT funny” and we were like “haha, you don’t know her, hahaha you didn’t have her hahahahaha”
