1- Indeed.

Who made the piccy? Not Larry Gonick, surely. Not a MuseBlogger, or they would have been credited. That leaves only one person… *turns to the graphic artist* If it was you that made that, Rebecca, good work!

I can see the moon through my window. It’s beautiful.
I notice it just says July Jam, not July Jam, Part 1. Does that mean we’re just having one thread from now on? If so, yay!
Anyhow, I’m going to bed now… *yawn* In the morning, please tell me if Rebecca really did the picture.
Sorry for the triple post.

Fifth post!…it’s better than nothing, I guess.

GAPAs, we NEED a Diplomacy thread. (Diplomacy’s a board game about World War One and has many variants, such as Civil War and Easter Island. You can find the rules and map here.

Thanks for the compliments! I’m so glad you like it.
Shadowkat provided some of the inspiration. She sent me a picture of colored squares with transparency effects that reminded me of a CorelDraw experiment from last year I called Kokojazz.
That prompted me to get it out again and start playing around in Photoshop. In fact, I added the border and two large Kokopellis only a short while before the midnight post — now it looks quite different even from the one I sent Robert a couple of days ago.
(11) Don’t think of the calendar as empty. Think of it as holding the promise of exciting threads yet unknown.

9- If we skipped August, what would happen to the Kokonvention?

It’s not raining!!!!!!!!!!
It’s the first time in 19 days that it hasn’t rained!!!!
*jumps in happy circles*
There was even a bit blue sky this morning but it’s cloudy now.
OH well!! It’s not raining!!!!
Sorry about that.
I really like the picture for the July Thread.

Oh my god. That pic is incredible.

Oh, sweet, gloriousness that is the public library! I hath internets!
*happy internet dance*
I am on vacation in NJ at the moment. It is really quite boring. But now I have internets! w00t w00t. So far, I’ve just eaten and slept and played Civ4. Fortunately, mi padre brought his laptop. Unfortunately, I have to come all the way to the library to get free wireless internet. It is so worth it. Excuse me as I burst with joy, and also contemplate this one interesting book cover I see, for a book called “The Bell Jar.” It’s quite intriguing…
So that’s basically it… I can’t exactly check my e-mail, though >_could use the Gmail account, but I never really do. Whatever. *goes off to browse internet happiness*

OH MY GOSH THAT IS SUCH A COOL PICTURE!!!!!!!
24- August… Ummmm…. I’ll get back to you on that.
Anyways, I am so bored. And I really need to finish my novel. But my computer is being really stupid right now. By stupid, I mean slow. So… how’s life everyone? I’m good, but bored as I previously mentioned. I’m taking Honors English next year and we already have HOMEWORK/PROJECT that counts as our FIRST TEST GRADE. Ugh. So annoying. OH OH OH in case no one read my post on the June random thread, I HAVE A LEATHER BOUND COPY OF THE ULTIMATE HITCHHIKER’S GUIDE!!!!!!!!!! (All five books and a story!!!!) It’s soooooo cool!!!! Hehe, I’m gonna go now. Adios!

I’ so happy to be on MuseBlog, in the presence of such geniuses. *feels happy* Life is good.
Does anyone know if you can make crepes with half the normal amount of flour?

9 ~ Although I understand the sentiment, that would mean no vacation! I would die!
Also, I play cello! ♥ How long have you been playing?
25 ~ I love apple butter. Yum.
26 ~ We have no summer homework. Period. Even though I’m taking all honors classes. Yay!
Lovely picture!

I just got home from watching Ratatouille. Has anyone else seen it?
(31) Sorry, the information must have been lost when he posted. I imagine you can find the site easily enough through Google.

32- I saw the trailer. It looked like it might actually be funny, unlike so many cartoons nowadays.
31- Wikipedia it.

The raccoon is back, as is evidenced by the fact that our dog is standing on top of the wood pile barking his head off.
0
0
32- No, but did you like it?
Today at church some missionaries and their kids (one of which was a girl my age!) came to talk to us about living in Cameroon. They’ve been their for three years and plan to stay for three more years. The girl who was my age was in my sunday school class and answered all of our questions. It was so cool! They brought a TON of stuff back to sell for charity and my parents got me a stuffed hippo with a cool africaan print hand-maid in Cameroon.
0

15- That is soo cool. How do people send pictures in ??
And, how do we contact you about a new thread we’d like?

I’m reading old threads and wondering if people will ever read the current threads and think, “Wow, that was a long time ago. I wish I’d been there.” It’s a strange feeling. Or if anyone will ever look at Gen. Eleveners like me and think of them as old. (Although I don’t really feel like a Gen. Elevener. I fell like a Twelver.) *feels strange and young* I suppose at a time like this, the best thing to do is reread a thread which I was on from the very beginning, but is now dead. Except that they’re aren’t any threads like that, really, yet.
0
0
37 – I already feel like an old MBer in the presence of clueless n00bs.
0

32 – How is it?
sorry for 2/post

So…
I’ve been rampaging through old threads with the aid of Google advanced searching, trying to find the NationStates password to get into The Land of the Muse. I know it’s been mentioned like five million times, but someone must’ve changed the password five million and one times because [snipped. –Admin.] all don’t work. And now NationStates is telling me in scary red letters:
“Since you have repeatedly entered the wrong password in a short period of time, you have been temporarily blocked from moving into password-protected regions.”
Long story short, I still don’t know the password. Will someone please tell me?
0
0
Cool graphic!
I am back finally! Australia was amazing!
I need sleep.
0
0
Hmm… The region says the password is, in fact, [snipped. –Admin.]
Odd that it’s not working…
0
0
41- You went to Australia??? *awed* Were there lots of sheep?
0
0
38- Like who? I haven’t met someone that I could think of as a clueless n00b yet. All the newbies I’ve met are either Gen. 12ers, which makes them not-new-to-me, or not clueless. Face it, there haven’t been that many clueless newbies lately, and a lot of them haven’t stuck around. Most of the time I can completely ignore the generation gaps, but sometimes I can’t help feeling very young and new.
Whatever happened to Evie? (No, I’m not asking because I consider her a newbie, I’m asking because I’m rereading old threads.)
Oh well. I bet everyone has felt new when they’ve only been on for a few months. You know, I never acted very clueless myself. Even if I never visited the newcomers thread, my first post was on topic, and besides taking a while to let the blog-dialect sink in, I didn’t ask a whole lot of the usual questions. Maybe because I read the Rules and the HG2MB.
Did that seem like bragging? Probably. Oh well. I didn’t mean to brag.
0
0
44 – She was very active for about a month, then dissapeared April 1 and has never been seen since.
0
0
Maybe for August, which would be Muse’s 2-year anniversary, the thread could be August Archives and GAPAs could post famous moments in blog history.
That may be a totally looney idea, but I thought I’d throw it out there.
0
0
45- I don’t blame her.
0

46- Yeah!

Good night, my friends. I have read many old threads, and attempted to restart the Afareet RRR. Whether it will work, we shall se in the morning.
Good night and fare thee well!
You know what’s a really cool word? Prithee. I have yet to use it, though.
G’night.

46- Good idea
49-what does it mean?

I saw ratatouille and it was very cute. I thought it wa definately worth seeing, and they had a cute short at the beginning, as with all pixars. The theaters were being screwy though, so we missed the previews because the picture was upside down without sound.
0
0
42: I finally got it. Yay! When I tried [snipped. –Admin.], I copy&pasted it, so maybe I accidentally put in a quotation mark or something. Thanks, though.

57 – Oh, don’t worry. I never leave for long.

What do you think the picture would look like for August Apple Butter? Ooh, idea! *runs off to don’t forget these threads*

Stardust looks so cool. I cannot wait. Let me see…Pirates of the Caribbean 3 I think.
E2MB- The alien abduction one. Heve you seen it? That would be the only way you would know what it was…
0
0
37- Haha, I do that when I look through the “What’s Here” page. Despite being Gen5…
There’s a person in this library who has been jammin’ to her music for quite some time… she’s dancing and head-bobbbing with her headphones on.
0
0
63 – Try Wikipedia instead.
0
0
27- Probably half the original amount…
41- I would think so! It certainly seems like it would be. Were you near the coast or in the middle?
44- I felt new till I realized I was old.
Or maybe I’m making that up, I don’t really remember. It’ll change in a week.
As for Evie, lots of people come and go here. You just can’t find them again when they disapear is the difference. A bit sad…
First day of drivers ed was today. It’s just the classroom part, and I’m taking it with one of my other friends at a nearby school (that neither of us go to. But it had a class in July instead of June, so I could make this one). Even though tomarrows the second day, we take our permit tests tomarrow and get our permits next week.
My friends way more excited about it than I am, I’d rather be able to ride my bike everywhere, honestly. Curse the two highways seperating me from the library/friends houses (even though they’re really close, I can only walk to one, and after running across a highway). Meh, oh well.
0
0
(62) Not surprising, since so many people are away. Last July was the slowest month of the whole year; only the first two months of MuseBlog’s existence had fewer posts.
0
0
When I was new I don’t think that I was that offtopic or annoying. but that is just me. Except for when I complained that no one noticed that Iwas new and got pied. Aside from that, I think I thought of myself as old after practically the first week.
0
0
66- There is a woman who wants to teach me to drive, despite my being only 13. I think I’ll never learn to drive. I’ll just ride a bike my whole life.
67- Hmm. The people who always complain about it being too fast should be happy.
School starts on September 5th! Can you think of anything cooler than that?!?! *elated* And that means my dad can take me with him when he goes to visit kayaking people around Labor Day!
0
0
Oh I love when school starts late. I especially love when I get long summer breaks cuz of moving. EX, last year in MO the school got out May 25 and in VA it doesn’t start til September 5, so I was quite happy. I have a normal summer this year as I am not moving.
0
0
70- Haha, it gets out May 14 here, unfortunately, but it’s still cool.

I feel really good today. I don’t know why. I’ve been comtemplating the meaning of life lately. Not really. Just my life really. And whether my book will ever be published and stuff like that. *sigh* It’s a really nice day though. I feel great. Just thought I would let everyone know.
0
0
what is gen10, gen12, etc?
re:Stardust- Yahoo says it is being produced by Paramount, so anything by Paramount should have preview, I’m guessing.
0
0
81- See the thread entitled MuseBlog Generations. You are Gen12.
0
0
80-According to an odd person I know, the meaning of life is 42.
I have a feeling there is more to it.
0
0
83- There must be. 57, maybe.
0
0
Alice (84): LOL.
The ultimate answer is easy. Now you have to find the ultimate question and then you will know the meaning of life.
0
0
80, 83, 84, 85: Did you notice that Alice’s post about the meaning life was post #84 — which is double 42? Is that cosmic or what? What would Arthur Dent say?
0
0
86- O-Oooh.
0
0
What about August Apricot Jam? I reallly like the idea of the GAPAs posting moments in the blog history.
0
0
what the heck are you all talking about? is there a topic in the least? well, random is good also. what is it with the Gen. 5, 10, 12 etc. thing? i’ll go find out. bye!
0
0
ohhhh……now i see. i’m am now classified as a fifth generation MBer. sweetness. 88-i agree fully. GAPA’s? what do you think about this idea?
0

Everyone who commented about music- I can play most instruments, hence my name. I also write songs (none with words though)
0

Alice- 57? Why not?
0

66- Incredibly dull, isn’t it? Just wait for the stupid things they ask you [well, if it’s anything like the Drivers’ Ed program I did]. And then the road part starts. I’ve had my permit since the day after I turned 16. Still didn’t take the test, though. I’ll make the appointment when I get back home… If I ever manage to parallel-park my dad’s van… *sigh* Best of luck to you!
68- I do believe we all do; that is, feel old after a week or so ^_^
69/71- Wow, that’s late. We usually start the last week of August. And get out early-June!
80- Egad, did you send it to a publisher and everything? ^_^ Good lucks!
I feel oddly lightheaded. Probably because the person from whom I’m borrowing teh internets SMOKES and there’s an ashtray right here. *suffocates*
I have too many friends who smoke.
0
0
67 – Yea. The first month of MuseBlog got only 500-something posts, now we get twice that every week.
85 – Unfortunantly, that’s what keeps hanging us up. Some say the question is “What do you get when you multipy six by seven?” but that does not seem probable to me.
91 – Do you play the trumpet?
0
0
93- Very dull. Took the permit test today though, got a 95, which means I’ll get my permit next week, though, cause we have a few days off for the holliday. Would get it thursday otherwise, but I wouldn’t be driving anyway so whatever.
0
0
92- The computer is bad for my eyes. And my productivity. And my creative spirit.
Okay, so not the last one, but the first two, yes.
0
0
What exactly are the effects computer screens have on your eyes?
0
0
94- I know someone who plays the trumpet.
0
0
97- They just hurt after a while. It’s really painful.
0
0
(99) Get into the habit of looking away from the screen every fifteen minutes or so. It can really make a difference if you stick with it. I speak from experience.
The 20-20-20 rule might make it easier to remember: look away from the screen ever 20 minutes, focus on an object 20 feet away for 20 seconds.
0
0
100 – Thanks for the tip! *does the 20-20-20 thingy*
0
0
100- Thanks!

Oh my goodness!!! I’m sorry I haven’t been on in, like, forever, but my mom made me finish some work and chores and stuff before I went on again, and that was Friday! So, yeah…b-e-a-utiful picture!!!!!! Who made it?
0

95- Lovely ^_^ At this rate you’ll have your license before I do.

103 – Rebecca Lasley.

Great picture! I haven’t been on the blog in like three days. Anybody need me somewhere???
105-I should’ve known. She really is quite skilled at this sort of thing!
0
0
110-yep
109-whats the website about? something to do with ww2 right?
0

We should have a thread discussing Barry Bonds chasing the all-time home run record. He just hit #751 an hour ago, y’know.
0
0
109-The GAPAs might have been snipping key codes…
0

111- WWI. But you were close.

Jeez. Thanks for the warm welcome, guys.

IT’S THE FOURTH OF JULY! AND ALSO MY BIRTHDAY MONTH! WOO-HOO!( I will be 13 on July 26th, my colors are sky blue, navy, and bubblegum pink, in case the great GAPAS did not register… )
0

68- i never got pied. i just showed up one day and read all the rules and stuff and then i started posting. *does the never been pied dance of victory*
wait….is the fourth of jully special? please excuse my clueless ness about other peoples holidays. is the fourth of jully the one with fireworks?
I can’t believe that people say happy fourth of jully but no one has yet said happy canada day (which was on the first). there were cool fireworks and such down near my farm.
0
0
Ughh. We’re having a 4th July party at my guides, to “celebrate cultures other than our own”. I’m not going, because I’ve been at home, sick, since Tuesday.
0
0
121-ugh
I am tired. Ah well..
120-you from canadia? oor am I confused?
*goes back to sleep*
120- oh yeah.. *pies*
0
0
(113) No, but sometimes they don’t post properly. It’s happened to me a couple of times.
0
0
120-Happy Late Canada Day! And yes, Fourth of July, or Independence Day, is the one with the fireworks.
0
0
120: The fourth of July celebrates the signing of the Declaration of Independence, which DOES NOT mean the war Revolutionary War ended and the United States became a new country. The Declaration was signed, and then the U.S. was not part of Britain anymore, but a war had to be fought so that it was recognized as a free country. And yes, there are many pretty fireworks. And in Detroit, the fireworks celebrate Independence Day and Canada Day. Yay! *does fourth of July dance*
0
0
120- Oh NO! *piespiespies*
Well, the 4th of July is special in a way I guess, but the only thing it’s good for is fireworks, and we let those off for my sister’s birthday, so the 4th of July matters nothing to me.
Except that it’s a good time to buy fireworks.
I’m sorry. I didn’t know it was Canada Day, or that you lived in Canada. Anyway… *special belated Canada Day pie*
121- I’m sorry about that. *pies with a get-well pie*
122- Canada, not Canadia.
I’ve been throwing a lot of pies in this post, haven’t I?
0
0
126- sorry
Pies are good.
0

Happy July 4th everybuggy! Yayayayayayayay!
How many of you guys live in Chicago? Let’s have a Kokoconvention! Ha ha, kidding. hey, where’s the Musebuilding? do you thing they would let me in?
0
0
(110) Thanks, Shadowkat. If you look at comment 15, you’ll see that you helped inspire this one.
0

You rock, RL! I don’t really know you that well, but you still rock. You’re the one who did the bunny designs, right?
Just FYI, the people we’re staying with have this giant snapping turtle in a tank.
0
0
130- Oooh, cool. We have one in the lake, ‘sept I’m not supposed to mention that cause we’re swiming today. DOn’t want to freak out the guests and all.
But she won’t come near, they’re shy. If rather large. Ours is a foot and a hlaf, maybe two feet…
We’re having a 4th of July party today, which means untill my friends get here I’ll be hiding in my room. Yay for nonsocial people. We saw fireworks last night, it started raining just as the started (not a lot, though) and when they were over it got harder. Then there was lightning… funufunfun.

The fourth of July is a day to celebrate our indpendence from Britian and show pride for our country. There is not only fireworks but parades sometimes.
0

Happy 4th of July people!! Anybodyt notice that I’ve been gone since Saturday? Anybody want to know why?

I am getting steak!!!!!!!!!
That may not be such a big deal, but have you ever triied finding kosher steak in the middle of the bible belt? I’ve only had it 3 times in my life. Aaah well.
*is happy*
0
0
132- True. And even if we’re not proud of our country, fireworks are readily available, therefore it’s a good holiday. Sometimes I’m so childish and materialistic. I like to think that it’s refreshing, but it’s probably just shallow.
133- Yes, I noticed, and yes, I’d like to know why.

I spent the weekend at my grandparents’ beach house in Maine, with my grandparents, aunt and my three youngest cousins. We spent a lot of time on the beach, and went to Story Land yesterday.
0
0
136- That’s great. Did you have a nice time?
What is Story Land?
0
0
It’s an amusement park in Northern New Hampshire, and it has stuff like the Three Bear’s House, Cinderella’s Castle, Humpty Dumpty, you know, storybook stuff. It has a roller coaster, water flume, raft ride , and a bunch of spinning rides, too.

Awesome illustration, Rebecca!!
Sorry for not reading this thread all the way through as I usually would…I am feeling extremely overwhelmed by all of the threads (it was what I was expecting: being gone for 2 weeks), but I’m also a bit overwhelmed because I’ve literally forgotten how to use a computer. But anyway, hello MB!!
0
0
131: Yeah, theirs isn’t that long. But it’s still really weird. They keep it in this really small tank, and today they put it in the back yard. My ten-year-old cousin just carried it in.
I’m antisocial too! Yay for antisocial people!

Everybody, good night.

Oh, i forgot to capitolize my name. i’m using too many different computers on this trip.

138- that sounds awesome! I went to busch gardens on sunday, b/c they are having free admission for military and miliary dependants.
It is raining here. On the 4th of July. No fireworks *tear*. Of course, we can’t set off bottle rockets in VA, they are illegal. In MO we set of whatever we wanted, and they were not illegal. I think they were even legal year round. But here we can only do wimpy fountains. And no firecrakcers. *cries*.
Welcome back, Purple Panda!
0
0
136- Neat! I’m going to Maine, too.
Welcome back, Purple Panda! I didn’t even know you were gone. *feels embarrassed*
0
0
Welcome back (again), Purple Panda! Even though I already said that on the other thread.
0

139 – Welcome back!
144 – It’s okay. You showed up before she left. You had no way of knowing.

Hi purple panda!!!! Welcome back.
0
0
Panda, welcome back!
Jadestone and Em, whooohooo for nonsocial people indeed!
Today, at the boardwalk, I saw my new hero: some guy with a ponytail who was wearing a kilt and playing the bagpipes. Insert fangirl love here. I dunno, he was cool.
Also, I obtained an Inigo Montoya shirt!
0

Heh. We had a power outage this morning, lasted for around an hour. It’s back now though.
Hope eveyone had a nice 4th. Even if you’re not from the US. It wasnt too bad, my friends showed up about an hour or two after it started and we went swimming in the lake. Though ‘swimming’ is a loose term as we mostly sat on the windsurfer after we draged it out (without the sail, so it was more like a raft).

Sorry for the dp but I just realized that (I think) there are a few basic rites of passage on museblog (in no particular order ) :
1. get into a fight with FS
2. Get a first post
3. get pied
4. participate in an rrr
5. appear on a museblog generation thingy
0
0
1. Who is FS? Ha ha kidding. Did he fight in the Chuck Norris/WD War?
2. I’ve definitely done that.
3. Lol yea
4. I thought about it. I spent a long time looking at our first sci-fi one, from like, 2 yrs ago, but i never actually contributed
5. generation 3! W00t!

172- Yes, I gave up. One of my friends got killed by a chicken, that’s the only good thing about it that I can think of. I quit because I lost all my stuff when I died.

169- You have red-gold hair, brown eyes, and a small turned-up nose. You wear a green and pink dress, and somehow wherever you are there’s afternoon sunlight shining on your face, which is weird, especially in the morning.
Dunno how I came up with that. The Rose part, mostly.
170-
1. I’ve never fought with FS, actually. For a while I didn’t even understand why he had the reputation that he did.
2. I’ve got several. And only once did I announce the fact.
3. All the time. In fact… *pies herself*
4. Are you KIDDING? That’s practically all I do!
5. appear on a museblog generation thingy

1. Actually, I havn’t really fought with him. I agree with a lot of his ideas, I’m just not so… outspoken about them.

1) I haven’t actually gotten into a fight with him. I would, but it would result in him insulting me, and I am a peaceful person. I DO have PLENTY of reasons to though.
2) Yes!
3) Once or twice. I’ve always wanted to be pied more though. *coughhinthintcough*

194- Aahh yes, the sims. I gave up on all mine too, now they’re rotting in the programing.
We went to taste of Chicago today, which was very fun. Tere was some really good fried ravioli in marinara (sp?) sauce, and some potato chips(or, crisps if you’re in england) that looked like someone had cut them in a spiril directly into a fryer. They wern’t greasy or oily at all, and very good too.
Then we me+mom+sister shared a peice of apple pie (about the size of two ppeices) that was shaped with the crust in a bal-shape with a hole in the top and the filling in the middle, and a scoop of ice cream in the hole. Then there was a chocolate-covered frozen banana and fudge, which I got most of as mom+sister arn’t as fond of it (“too rich?” Ha!)

I think if you guys answer my criteria I can find you your perfect college:
Which state do you want it to be in?
What field will you pursue?
Should the colege have multi electives or be devoted to this subject? (e.g. school of architecture as opposed to school that offers an architecture elective)
Big or small school?
What would be your maximum tuition?
Should there be certian sports there?
Should there be a certian fraternity or sororiity?

Which state do you want it to be in? California
What field will you pursue? That’s a tough one. Making newspaper comic strips, I guess….
Should the colege have multi electives or be devoted to this subject? (e.g. school of architecture as opposed to school that offers an architecture elective) Multi electives
Big or small school? Small
What would be your maximum tuition? I’m really not sure. It all depends on how my family is doing financially in 5 years.
Should there be certian sports there? Soccer, baseball…that’s about it.
Should there be a certian fraternity or sororiity? *heads over to Wikitionary*

Hear ye, hear ye!
Prarilius Canix, aka Sir Ozlips, aka Oob, formerly known as Captain Cynomys, has just seen Monty Python and the Holy Grail for the first time in his life. He apologizes for straying from the topic, but he didn’t know where else to announce it, as the Monty Python thread is closed. He also apologizes for the third-person perspective. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelled of elderberries!

Maybe you guys can help me.
My problem is kind of compicated, but whatever.
My family has had a computer for several years, but until recently we never had internet access. My parents didn’t like e-mail, since it drove up the stamp prices. Finally, after relatives persuaded them, my parents got e-mail so we could better communicate with them. And with e-mail comes internet access. My parents made it clear that they never wanted me to go onto the internet, but after I sent something to Muse and it got published on this website, they gave me permission to come on this website and look at it. My family’s internet access thing asks for a password every time you try and go on a website. The password used to be really long, but they got tired of it and shortened it so it would be faster to type. They would type in the password so I could come on here and look at my thing, and I noticed the password was only 2 characters long. After an afternoon of trying and retrying, I hacked the password. But telling myself I must obey my parents, I decided I wouldn’t go on any website but this one, since they had technically given me permission to go here. So I started looking around all the nooks and crannies of this website, until I eventually looked at MuseBlog in mid-February. I soon got hooked, and by mid-March I was coming on every day. I mentioned MuseBlog to my mother once, and she listened to me describe it (though I never told her I posted on it) until at a point she said I wasn’t supposed to be gallavanting around the internet like that. After that, I was shocked and left Museblog for 2 1/2 days. But then I ventured on again, and got hopelessly sucked into it’s realms again. Our computer is 7 years old, and my parents have almost bought a new one. I heard them discussing 2 nights ago whether I could be trusted with the internet, and if they should limit internet access to only my dad’s laptop so he can do his work at home, or if they should change the password. So basically I feel like crap right now and am scared to death that if they ever find out I go on MuseBlog they’ll burn me alive. So I’m trying to gradually give up MuseBlog.
Do you have any advice?
E2MB the worried

216- Then we have something in common. (finally!) My parents are very techno, and we have four computers. My `rents know of museblog, but theyve never seen it and want to. I’m afraid to show my dad R&R.
0
0
217 – That’s the problem. We post things on here that we don’t want our parents to see!
Advice for agagabagabag: MuseBlog is huge. You don’t have to show your parents threads you don’t want to. Just show them a few threads that you like but haven’t posted anything embarrasing on, and you’re fine.
0
0
216- Oh man… umm… I would ask them one night why they don’t want you to go on the internet. If it’s reasons like privacy and stuff, tell them that you’d never give your name, address, ect. And that there’s only one site that you’d really like to join, on the Muse fan page. Let them look at it and see what it’s like, tell them about how secure it is. There’s a link ob the fanpage about Museblog and online privacy protection, so that might help.
Even just telling them you’re willing to only go on for an hour or two a night could help. Maybe even tell them they can email the GAPA about security. But don’t spend a lot of time on the computer while your doing this, therwise they might not let you. Good luck… I hope they let you back…

216- *feels sympathetic* Write a letter to Muse asking them to describe the blog to your parents. Also tell them about RRR- you doing creative writing and thoughtful discussion in the summer. That should give them a good reason to let you on.
216- Ask them what their objections are. If it’s privacy, like Jadestone said, tell them you would never give out your name and address. Stalkers, same thing. Pornography, ask them if they really think you would go on sites like that.
Other than that, I have no advice. Good luck.
0
0
219 – That’s a really great idea! Thanks!
221 – Good idea about the RRRs! I’ll try that with the Time Travel RRR!
222 – I’ll try not to…the only way I would really have to quit is if they changed the password and I wouldn’t be able to get on here.
223 – Good idea as well. I’ll ask them what their objections are.
THANK YOU THANK YOU EVERYBODY FOR ALL THE IDEAS!!!

216- Show them the letter from that one girl in the last muse!
200- Good for you! I’ve been without MB all day today . . . Ach, miserable. The phone line was down or something, so neither the internet nor the phone worked. Since we’re at the climax on the RRR, it was far worse than normal. Any other day, I wouldn’t have minded, but today . . . Oh well. I edited about half the story, though, in my desperation.
210- Oh you poor deprived thing! You’d never seen it????? *pies out of sympathy* *pies out of celebration*
212- *sniff* I’m so sorry . .
.
216- Oh . . . Maybe if you tell them that MuseBlog is a very nice, safe, site, and you can’t get contact information from other people, and they can’t get your contact information, then they will relent.
217, 218- MuseBlog ISN’T a nice, safe, site? *dies of horror* GAPAs, you must do your job! *cries* Now I’m scared.
On a rather related note, when we move, my mother has suggested not getting internet. She would go to a cafe to check her email and such-like, and I would get a wireless card for my laptop. But I would still have to go somewhere where I could get a signal, and therefore I couldn’t get on very often.
But things probably won’t go that way.
0
0
220- Why, exactly, may I ask?
E2MB- also tell them all the things you’ve learned about. Ranodm holidays, other people, new words like ‘physiognomical’ an others. I know I’ve learned tons of stuff. And Museblog is way more than the avrage teen website- I’ve met a lot of intelligent people here (prety much everybody!) and they’re all interesting.

227 – (response to 217, 218) I think agagabagabag is just a little uncomfterable about showing his parents his love life, which is what he’s posted on the Romance & Relationships thread.

(216, 221) Muse doesn’t have much to do with the blog, though it’s nice to see (in the July issue) that the editors approve of it. We GAPAs, however, will gladly answer any questions your parents care to send us at gapa-at-musefanpage-dot-com.
0

233 – Okay, thanks! I’m going to try and rack up enough courage to ask them….

My mother is entirely supportive of MuseBlog. It gets a tad uncomfortable when she starts asking all sorts of questions, like whether or not I have any specific friends on MuseBlog, but I’m not embarrassed to talk about RRRs or stuff like that. My dad is much the same, but he doesn’t ask all the questions. I have showed my mother the signature shirt, Canix’s sci-fi “Green Willow Tree”, and various other stuff. I’ve sent my dad Em’s Watership Down . . . the list goes on. I’m not embarrassed about MB, obviously. It’s pretty much the equivalent of telling my parents about my friends, and our various activities, except all we do is talk, and grown-ups are supervising us the whole while.
For a while I was worried about my parents discovering that I had the emails of other MBers, but I don’t even really care about that either anymore.

My parents love MuseBlog, too. When we said there was a Kokonvention, and we’d be able to meet a bunch of other MuseBloggers, my mom said, “Great! Where is it?” Of course, the location would definitely depend on her enthusiasm (When we asked if we could go to Chicago, her answer was “Absolutely not!”). And one time we had a video conference with Kiki The Great (basically, we could see and talk to each other), she let us borrow her computer because it has a camera!
Basically, they think it’s the awesomest website in the whole world
216 (E2MB) – you can also (in addition to Robert 233’s comment), go to the library, if it has computers, if all else fails. Also showing them the blog and that is completely safe (maybe show them the rules thread, and a thread where we’re having an intelligent discussion) might help.

Maybe we should create a thread for MuseBlog parents.

my parents are suportive too. They don’t care that much.

My oarents don’t like me spending a lot of time on the computer, but they like Museblog. They’d let me go to the next Kokonvention in Chicago if I could make it.

When I asked my mom if she would take me to a kokonvention if we had one in Portland, she said, “Yeah. I’d take you to one in Seattle too.” And when I asked my dad how far away Bonneville dam was, he said he’d take me there if Cinnamoon and I had a mini-kokon. (Not in his words.)
237- Hey, that’s a good idea.

I think it is absolutely ridiculous how they picked the “new” seven wonders fo the world: they asked people to text message them or take polls on websites! it should be top engenears and scientists who study these structures who picked the! The Lady Liberty got a bunch of votes, and I’m sorry, but that’s absolutely NOTHING compared to Egypt’s pyramids.
0

241- WTF? Why would anyone vote for something like that? IT”S UGLY!
217- My problem exactly.

Everyone should watch Invader ZIM! It’s awesome! And you can even find it on the internet!

241- I respectfully disagree. I’ve always thought that people value more what they can decide for themselves, and by having text and online votes it’s more accesible. And if everyone in the world chose these ,than for some reason that makes them even more special to me. I think it’s sort of cool to this was the worlds decision. And The statue of Liberty didn’t win. I didn’t think It was that impressive either.

242- Ugly? I think it’s a cool symbol of america, but I don’t think it deserved to be one of the wonders of the world. That honor should go to truly incredible structures. Now they are doing the seven wonders of nature.

235, 236, 238, 239 – *sigh*
Purple Panda – My library does have computers, so in the future that is probably the sole place where I will be able to access MuseBlog. Thanks for the idea.
I asked my parents. Not about MuseBlog, but about why they don’t want me to go on the internet in general. They said once you’re on the internet, any evil guy who is good at computers can hack your IP address and send you spam, or send you a virus, or something nasty. I said all I wanted was to go on Muse Fan Page, but they said it’s really a good idea to stay off the internet as much as possible because of the IP address trackers, evil links, and other junk and that’s why they don’t want me using it and that’s why they barely use it blah blah blah….they still don’t know I even come on here because I chickened out telling them at the last minute. Now I’m more scared then ever to tell them that I have been going on the internet for a long time. *sigh*
But I don’t get it. I’ve never experienced any of this sort of stuff on this web page, even though I’ve given it hundreds of hits. I tried telling them that the only site I want to go on is Muse Fan Page, but they just sort of wouldn’t listen. *sigh* And after that I heard them say they were going to change the password because they don’t want me to even have the POWER to get on here. (They know I know the password.)
I guess I just said the same thing twice, so I’ll hit submit. *sigh*

Let’s make a new organazation, the Off Topic Post Police (OfToPoPo). The mission: Patrol the blog, capturing and punishing MBers who post off topic, unless they accidentally posted on the wrong thread. The means: Fines of virtual choklit. Anyone who wants to join, please contact me or the GAPAs.

OMIGOSH!!!!!!!!! I got my ACT scores back yesterday, and (first ((and only)) take), I got a 30!!!!!!!
College Survey: Which state do you want it to be in?
Michigan What field will you pursue?
Probably journalism, or theatre. Should the colege have multi electives or be devoted to this subject? (e.g. school of architecture as opposed to school that offers an architecture elective)
Devoted, I think. Big or small school?
Big. What would be your maximum tuition?
I’ve yet to research this, but nothing too expensive, ’cause I might be paying for most of it. Should there be certain sports there?
Soccer and/or volleyball…but I don’t really need any sports, because I probably won’t have time for them, anyway. Should there be a certain fraternity or sorority?
Don’t care…whatever.

ADORABLE!!! I love them with their cute little faces and tales, and cute little fingers!!!! Sorry, that was a little overwhelming.

And I am sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo psychic. I clicked on your comment in the sidebar, and I knew even before I saw the rest of it that it was going to say “hyper.” Weird…

I meant kricket’s comment.
263- I’ve never thought of iguanas as particularly adorable. But now when I think iguanas I think of Master and Commander. Did they swim?
0

165- I LOVE that movie!
[That’s 265, right? –Robert]

265: My Aunt and Uncle saw that movie and really liked it. I plan NOT to see it. I don’t even know why, but that’s that. I just saw The Village yesterday and loved it. Now that was a cool movie!
I despise iguanas even if they are cute. Are they cute? I dunno.
I think I need to go to bed. It’s 10 here. Well, that’s not really late, but whatever.

266- [gushing rant that I will spare you. It’s really really good.]
267- What’s The Village? Is that the one with creepy children? (I’ve never seen it, but I heard about it.)
0

248- And what’s wrong with it? And what were you agreeing with?

I like iguanas. And lizards in general.

251- NO.
And completely unrelated, if you’re making homemade arrows young maple’s good. It flies well.

262- Yay! Have fun! ALTHOUGH IT SEEMS FOR CERTAIN YOU WILL! 8D
271- LOLLOLOLOLFSOKMGJDVA THANK YOU FOR SAYING THAT let’s make an organization for banning organizations that go off topic on threads about organizing.
EVERYONE: LET’S BLOGGING. just that. if someone wants to be post happy, give them a cookie and send them on. Okay. practice for when you go out into the rest of the internets and everyone is dumb.

268: Hmm, I guess The Village has creepy children. I’d say the movie itself is more creepy. But it was awesome.

Arg I wanted to say something else in that comment…
Today I’m going to the doctors and they are going to see if I’m all better yet. I hope they say yes because I haven’t been able to ride my bike all summer. Because of the enlarged spleen, they were afraid it might burst if I fell off.

272- Thank you. Although, I think that we should still be careful. Before you post something, think “Is this pointless”. If it is, don’t post, or combine it with something else. We shouldn’t not PoPo because we’ll be fined if we do, but because we know that it’s the wrong thing. And yes, the PoPoPo do count as pointless, so before you fine someone ask “Do I really need to do this?” and the answer is “no”. You can still ask them to stop PoPoing in a post with content, but don’t fine them. Come out of the corrupt PoPoPo, you’ll feel better. I know from experience.
I’m off to post this on the “Welcome, Newcomers!” thread.

Would anyone like to know why both the phone and the internet were down? Actually, it doesn’t matter. I will tell you.
The phone line was stolen. Yes, stolen. Some people just drove by, say the phone line, and stole it. Isn’t that ridiculous?

LULZ POPOPO
Penty posts on the random thread whut?
279 (Glassboro)- THANK YOU.
283 (Alice)- Yes. You’d think there would be more interesting things to steal out there. Like, I dunno, acorns?

Hey all, just dropping in to say hi. I am currently in Santa Barbara, CA, waiting for a couple more hours before my plane back to Scottsdale leaves. So I’m not going to start posting again just yet, but in about a week… Cheers!

274- Hello, you look fimilar. *pies*
283- Hahahahaha… sorry, but that’s a bit funny.
285- Have fun!
I have a flute lesson and eye docter apointment today. And I didn’t get my permit, the thing’s took longer than he thought, so I’ll get it tomarrow.
0
0
285 (FS)- My father’s side of the family is native to Santa Barbara, although none of them actually live there now. -irrelevance-
Scottsdale? As in Scottsdale, Arizona? I pity you. If it’s ninety degrees in Chicago, I can only shudder with the thought of the weather in Arizona.
On the other hand, Chicago weather is famously extreme, so maybe it’s not as much worse as I’m imagining. In any case, please avoid heatstroke.
286 (JS)- Permit? Gawd, you make me feel so young. Even though you’re what, a month older than me?
0
0
287- Heh, yeah, it’s only the clasroom part of drivers ed though, so I still have to take the actualt driving class later. I think that the requirded hours (50) is going to take me a long time to complete, though. I don’t have anywhere to go. Or a car of my own. Oh well, I suppose several trips to the library a week is nice…
Hmm, if I’d gotten it today though, I could have driven to book club. Alas.
I’ve been avoiding heat stroke by staying inside the house (mini-rant time: There was a thing on the news about how a nursing home lost i’s air conditioning and got up to 79 degress or something- our thermometer right now is at 77. meh) and swimming in our lake.
0
0
288- ugh ugh ugh I have to take that class in August…I am going to be the worst driver ever. 50 hours? I wonder if that’s the same everywhere…-fears-

I luuuuuuurve red tea.
0
0
267- Oooh, yes, I liked that movie. The Village, that is. Not Master and Commander, which was amazingly boring and needed more ship battle goodness.
288/289- You don’t technically need the 50 practice hours, so long as your parents/guardians sign off on it and say you did.
JS- Did you take the written test to get the permit? Just wondering, because that’s how they do it in PA, but maybe it’s with the actual exam in your state? Hmm…
I worked for five hours today and was quite bored. Instead of getting every redneck whose meat package was leaking, I got every crazy cat lady and her mother. I prefer the cat ladies.
I also need to make myself a new wallet because mine is dying. Silly duct tape. Also, I have to go practice driving. And by that, I mean parallel parking, which I’ll hardly have to use anyway. Everything else, I have down. More or less.

small update on my life: as of monday the 16 i will not have access to a computer for a month so if you don’t see me before August 13 do not fear! i have not died, i am only missing out on the incredibly cool world of muse as i visit france.

Hi guys, I’ve just by chance stumbled apon some information on the Anasazi American Indian being of mythology our “Kokopelli” was based on.
Well, according to mythology, there are two kokopellis (besides the one that governs muse,) one said to be dead and one said to still be living.
These kokopellis are what allowed humans to live on earth, according to mythology. First they had to pass a test the eagle gave them. The eagle held two arrows, and then shoved them towreds the eyes of the kokopellis, stopping them at the last instant. The kokopellis did not even blink.
The eagle then shot an arrow at a kokopelli. It then took out its flute and started to play, magically causing the arrow to melt away. He then did the same with the other kokopelli, with the same results. This, according to mythology, is why people are on earth.
The kokopellis also gave seeds to the people, allowing them to plant squash, beans, corns, gourds, and herbs for homeopathic remidies.
Kokopellis have antennae because they transorm into katydid/ cricketlike animals at will, according to mythology.
Their flute of the surviving one is said to be made out of an eagle’s hollow leg bone, probably the same eagle that gave them the test.

Oh well. I’m serious, therefore I won’t give up. And I won’t mind being rejected, either. I will be made of steel.

Okay, maybe not made of steel. But I won’t give up.

296- Righto. Heh, that test was funny. I seriously had to identify a STOP sign. And orange signs in general… Heh, but you did better than I did. 15/18. Just passed, because you can only get three wrong.

Lady Bunniful, you are amazing. Love the pic.
Hey all, i’m back although i probably forgot to tell you that i did in fact leave…but i did and now i’m here go me.
So how has the good ol’ blog been? as usual i’m too lazy to read beyond the last fifteen or so posts, but everybody looks pretty spiffy. driving? i should learn to do that. meh. there’s really just nowhere to drive here though. i haven’t even taken the test yet. oh well, bikes work. i’ll actually get around to flipping through that little booklet eventually.
aww, i want a dog. but half my family’s allergic.
so i tried to get on the blog once over vacation…we were in this little coffee shop somewhere and they sold books too but just a few of the really popular ones like harry potter and stuff, and they had free wireless internet. well there was this computer sitting there, so i thought “hey, cool, i’ll check on the blog” It asked me for a password, and thinking about the FREE wireless internet i figured it was just so the lady could know who was on. i looked around but of course i didn’t see her (my parentals had been waiting about ten minutes already to be served and she was completely ignoring them) so i look at the hint and it’s “coffee” so i try that and it doesn’t work. Then i try “java” and it works. how obvious a password is that? So then as soon as i get on, the lady jumps out of nowhere and starts asking how i knew the password and shooting accusatory daggers with her eyes. i was like “i just figured it out” and she didn’t believe me (because of course nobody could guess such a fiendishly difficult password) Then she was like “it’s $10 an hour” and i was like “ok, never mind” and logged out. There was no sign anywhere in the shop saying “computer $10 an hour” or anything like that, not even on the computer desk. After i logged off, she went back to whatever terribly important thing she was doing, even though my dad tried to get her attention. so we left and went to a sweet little coffee shop with ice cream and a piano player and a hat shop right next door.
I did find bookstores though…my favorite was one in…saugatuck i think, where it was on the second floor of an art shop and it was just this one old lady and a load of books, some used, some new. it was like three rooms of stuff. she was on the phone most of the time and she kept saying things like “oh and somebody bought my copy of this book that i was halfway through but it was really good and i’d like to finish it so could you send me another one of those? and send me another one of these because i’m selling it right now and i really like it” etc, etc. she just had one copy of all the books, and i think she had read all of them, or at least most of them. it seemed like she just collected books and occasionally sold a few. not a bad job, hey?
so that’s my week, or the interesting bits anyway.

303- A fiendishly difficult password indeed. Hahaha. Also, bookshop lady is my hero.
Today I got prerelease tickets for OotP and also kinda-reserved DH at Waldenbooks. It’s a “no-guarantee” deal because they’re only getting 600 but upwards of 750 have been reserved or something. Whatever. If I’m going to the midnight release, I shouldn’t have to worry, yes? Especially if I arrive at 8PM. Seven if I’m feeling particularly crazy?
0
0
300- We had 50 questions though, not 18. So we could get more wrong. And there were about 20 signs we had to label, and I knew all of them, as they were rather simple.
The permit’s didn’t come today either. I think he’s just telling us they’ll come to make us go to class, then he’ll only hand them out at the end. Hmm.
303- Welcome back! Where did you go?
Bookshop lady is indeed a hero. If we ever see her we should inform her of this.

313- *backs slowly away* Oookay…
Today was hot hot hot. We went swimming, and ate ice cream sandwiches, and sprayed ourselves with water, and suffered. I hope tomorrow’s better.
I’m fairly sure we live on the dirtiest river in the northwest. We had to go to the swimming hole, because there was so much scum and oil floating on the river at low slack tide.

310- Hello! *pies* Well, you read and post relevant stuff. Essentially. You’ll get the hang of it in no time. Seriously, you’ll feel old after a week. Welcome!
So, I was thinking…
Back when it was commonly accepted that Earth is flat… wouldn’t people be afraid that, if they dug too deep, they’d fall through the bottom into a chasm of nothingness? o_O
I dunno…

315- Maybe they thought that the Earth was flat, but it was had really deep roots, like, down below infinity, if such a thing were possible.
And suddenly, it hits her. She starts to scheme. And she has a REALLY good idea.

315- the Catholics belived the earth was flat. above it was heven, below hell. if you dug deep you whould fall in to hell.
ooh, what a pretty picture for this month’s thread!
Hey, I just remembered that it’s july!
423- Yeah, and I posted on the Chameleon, Summer Blockbuster, Campaign, Muse Roll Call, and Muse Discussion Thread!!!!!!
GAPAs, we NEED a Diplomacy thread. (Diplomacy’s a board game about World War One and has many variants, such as Civil War and Easter Island. You can find the rules and map here.
Whoah! That is truly flamablamabulous!
So… July… I hate July. (Not the picture , the picture is awesome!)And august: it’s just too hot…we should skip from June to September:evil:
That picture is soooooo totally cool! Good job, Rebecca!
*sigh* The calendar at the top of the page always looks so empty at the beginning of the month…….
Only 7 days of summer school left! w00tness!
The picture pwns.
So… who’s going to miss me for the next tewlve days?? I’m going awayyy….
13 – Oh no! I guess we’ll just have to postpone our plans…
7- Diplomacy! I soooo want to play that game!
Oh my god. That pic is incredible.
♥
I think Im going to use it as my avatar on another site, if that’s all right with Rebecca…
15 – Has kokojazz been posted on the blog anywhere?
9- NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My birthday is next month. It will be my first b-day spent out of state! Hurray!
June Jelly, followed by July Jam, I am sensing a pattern here. Hmmmm…. What will it be next montyh… A condiment starying with A…
24- Apple Butter?
Adios!
~Kricket~
I’ so happy to be on MuseBlog, in the presence of such geniuses. *feels happy* Life is good.
Does anyone know if you can make crepes with half the normal amount of flour?
9 ~ Although I understand the sentiment, that would mean no vacation! I would die!
Also, I play cello! ♥ How long have you been playing?
25 ~ I love apple butter. Yum.
26 ~ We have no summer homework. Period. Even though I’m taking all honors classes. Yay!
Lovely picture!
Guess what? It’s raining again. GRRRR *swims off*
Random thought….
I REALLY LIKE RELIENT K!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry, hyper. Hehe…
9-GAPAs, could you… *thinks* linkify (for lack of a better word) Lawrence of Antartica’s link? Please?
I just got home from watching Ratatouille. Has anyone else seen it?
(31) Sorry, the information must have been lost when he posted. I imagine you can find the site easily enough through Google.
32- I saw the trailer. It looked like it might actually be funny, unlike so many cartoons nowadays.
31- Wikipedia it.
The raccoon is back, as is evidenced by the fact that our dog is standing on top of the wood pile barking his head off.
37 – I already feel like an old MBer in the presence of clueless n00bs.
Cool graphic!
I am back finally! Australia was amazing!
I need sleep.
Hmm… The region says the password is, in fact, [snipped. –Admin.]
Odd that it’s not working…
41- You went to Australia??? *awed* Were there lots of sheep?
44 – She was very active for about a month, then dissapeared April 1 and has never been seen since.
Maybe for August, which would be Muse’s 2-year anniversary, the thread could be August Archives and GAPAs could post famous moments in blog history.
That may be a totally looney idea, but I thought I’d throw it out there.
45- I don’t blame her.
46- Yeah!
Good night, my friends. I have read many old threads, and attempted to restart the Afareet RRR. Whether it will work, we shall se in the morning.
Good night and fare thee well!
You know what’s a really cool word? Prithee. I have yet to use it, though.
G’night.
Why am up this early? Oh well.
46- Good idea
49-what does it mean?
*lurks off*
I saw ratatouille and it was very cute. I thought it wa definately worth seeing, and they had a cute short at the beginning, as with all pixars. The theaters were being screwy though, so we missed the previews because the picture was upside down without sound.
42: I finally got it. Yay! When I tried [snipped. –Admin.], I copy&pasted it, so maybe I accidentally put in a quotation mark or something. Thanks, though.
51 – Oh yea! That alien abduction one! What was the short like?
47 – Maybe she thought the blog would forever be infested with hot-pink bunnies.
Happy halfway-through-2007 day, everyone!
Dangit, nobody’s on but me! *leaves*
56- Don’t leave! I shall have no one to converse with! Oh well, you’re probably already gone. And that’s okay, because I don’t need to spend most of my day on the computer. *revelation*
57 – Oh, don’t worry. I never leave for long.
What do you think the picture would look like for August Apple Butter? Ooh, idea! *runs off to don’t forget these threads*
46- cool idea! Though it’d be Muse blog‘s 2 year anniversary not muse’s
Whose seen a movie with a preview for stardust in the previews? what movie was it?
new pic = pwnage!!! it looks awesome.
Geez blog traffic has been slow lately!
Stardust looks so cool. I cannot wait. Let me see…Pirates of the Caribbean 3 I think.
E2MB- The alien abduction one. Heve you seen it? That would be the only way you would know what it was…
37- Haha, I do that when I look through the “What’s Here” page. Despite being Gen5…
There’s a person in this library who has been jammin’ to her music for quite some time… she’s dancing and head-bobbbing with her headphones on.
63 – Try Wikipedia instead.
(62) Not surprising, since so many people are away. Last July was the slowest month of the whole year; only the first two months of MuseBlog’s existence had fewer posts.
When I was new I don’t think that I was that offtopic or annoying. but that is just me. Except for when I complained that no one noticed that Iwas new and got pied. Aside from that, I think I thought of myself as old after practically the first week.
Oh I love when school starts late. I especially love when I get long summer breaks cuz of moving. EX, last year in MO the school got out May 25 and in VA it doesn’t start til September 5, so I was quite happy. I have a normal summer this year as I am not moving.
70- Haha, it gets out May 14 here, unfortunately, but it’s still cool.
i must see pirates 3…AUGH!!!
38-Me too, even though I’m a gen12er.
Ooh, whoops, I meant gen10er. I can’t type today.
I’M BACK!!!! Please excuse me for not warning alll of you that l was leaving. I went to tahoe for the weekend!
75- *pies even though she didn’t notice he was gone*
I’m excited. I can’t think why.
huh. I saw Pirates 3 and there was no Stardust preview. Odd. Have you guys read Stardust? I have. It’s an enjoyable book!
I am avioding dishes. Yay
Just got back from sailing with a bunch of !@$%& immature idiots. (luckily the were in a different boat. It was fun and it wasn’t raining. (Yay)
Bye peoples
28- Really!!!!!!!!!! Oh My God! I play with SAW, the String Academy of Wisconsin. I have been playing for three years.
I feel really good today. I don’t know why. I’ve been comtemplating the meaning of life lately. Not really. Just my life really. And whether my book will ever be published and stuff like that. *sigh* It’s a really nice day though. I feel great. Just thought I would let everyone know.
what is gen10, gen12, etc?
re:Stardust- Yahoo says it is being produced by Paramount, so anything by Paramount should have preview, I’m guessing.
81- See the thread entitled MuseBlog Generations. You are Gen12.
80-According to an odd person I know, the meaning of life is 42.
I have a feeling there is more to it.
83- There must be. 57, maybe.
Alice (84): LOL.
The ultimate answer is easy. Now you have to find the ultimate question and then you will know the meaning of life.
80, 83, 84, 85: Did you notice that Alice’s post about the meaning life was post #84 — which is double 42? Is that cosmic or what? What would Arthur Dent say?
86- O-Oooh.
What about August Apricot Jam? I reallly like the idea of the GAPAs posting moments in the blog history.
what the heck are you all talking about? is there a topic in the least? well, random is good also. what is it with the Gen. 5, 10, 12 etc. thing? i’ll go find out. bye!
ohhhh……now i see. i’m am now classified as a fifth generation MBer. sweetness. 88-i agree fully. GAPA’s? what do you think about this idea?
Everyone who commented about music- I can play most instruments, hence my name. I also write songs (none with words though)

Alice- 57? Why not?
93- Very dull. Took the permit test today though, got a 95, which means I’ll get my permit next week, though, cause we have a few days off for the holliday. Would get it thursday otherwise, but I wouldn’t be driving anyway so whatever.
92- The computer is bad for my eyes. And my productivity. And my creative spirit.
Okay, so not the last one, but the first two, yes.
What exactly are the effects computer screens have on your eyes?
94- I know someone who plays the trumpet.
97- They just hurt after a while. It’s really painful.
100 – Thanks for the tip! *does the 20-20-20 thingy*
100- Thanks!
Oh my goodness!!! I’m sorry I haven’t been on in, like, forever, but my mom made me finish some work and chores and stuff before I went on again, and that was Friday! So, yeah…b-e-a-utiful picture!!!!!! Who made it?
95- Lovely ^_^ At this rate you’ll have your license before I do.
103 – Rebecca Lasley.
Great picture! I haven’t been on the blog in like three days. Anybody need me somewhere???
106- Everywhere.
31- lemme try it again.
ARGH! Still doesn’t work! I’ll just give you the website:
http: // www. diplomacy-archive.com /diplomacy_rules.htm
Go down to the last link.
105-I should’ve known. She really is quite skilled at this sort of thing!
110-yep
109-whats the website about? something to do with ww2 right?
We should have a thread discussing Barry Bonds chasing the all-time home run record. He just hit #751 an hour ago, y’know.
109-The GAPAs might have been snipping key codes…
111- WWI. But you were close.
Jeez. Thanks for the warm welcome, guys.
115- I welcomed you!
Um . . . Happy July 4th, everyone! I just noticed the calendar has moved on, even though it’s still ten-forty here.
Happy 4th of July!
IT’S THE FOURTH OF JULY! AND ALSO MY BIRTHDAY MONTH! WOO-HOO!( I will be 13 on July 26th, my colors are sky blue, navy, and bubblegum pink, in case the great GAPAS did not register…
)
Ughh. We’re having a 4th July party at my guides, to “celebrate cultures other than our own”. I’m not going, because I’ve been at home, sick, since Tuesday.
121-ugh
I am tired. Ah well..
120-you from canadia? oor am I confused?
*goes back to sleep*
120- oh yeah.. *pies*
(113) No, but sometimes they don’t post properly. It’s happened to me a couple of times.
120-Happy Late Canada Day! And yes, Fourth of July, or Independence Day, is the one with the fireworks.
126- sorry
Pies are good.
Happy July 4th everybuggy! Yayayayayayayay!
How many of you guys live in Chicago? Let’s have a Kokoconvention! Ha ha, kidding. hey, where’s the Musebuilding? do you thing they would let me in?
(110) Thanks, Shadowkat. If you look at comment 15, you’ll see that you helped inspire this one.
You rock, RL! I don’t really know you that well, but you still rock. You’re the one who did the bunny designs, right?
Just FYI, the people we’re staying with have this giant snapping turtle in a tank.
Aaah well.
*is happy*
136- That’s great. Did you have a nice time?
What is Story Land?
131: Yeah, theirs isn’t that long. But it’s still really weird. They keep it in this really small tank, and today they put it in the back yard. My ten-year-old cousin just carried it in.
I’m antisocial too! Yay for antisocial people!
*pies PP for reapearing*
136- Neat! I’m going to Maine, too.
Welcome back, Purple Panda! I didn’t even know you were gone. *feels embarrassed*
Welcome back (again), Purple Panda! Even though I already said that on the other thread.
139 – Welcome back!
144 – It’s okay. You showed up before she left. You had no way of knowing.
Hi purple panda!!!! Welcome back.
148- Does it say, “Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.”?
HAPPY 4TH OF JULY!!!!!
150-
DamnRebel. It’s Rebel Day, celebrating the Declaration of Impudence.Heh.
(151) One of my British friends calls it “Good Riddance Day.”
lol. I still prefer rebel day.
(151, 153) One of the history professors at my college, who married an Englishwoman, always referred to the date as “Purification of the Empire Day.”
Even better than good riddance. I should remember these…
153 – I’ve always wondered what the British think of America’s Independence Day!
Everyone quickley google new seven wonders go to the website and vote! The new seven wonders will be announced on July 7. It is the last day to vote!!!!!!!
Thank You
158-What’s wrong with the old ones?
158- But I don’t care.
159- All of them but one no longer exist.
160- Okay, Peggy post. just kidding! I was just reffering it to everyone because it’s something most mbers would care about.
161- Yeah. But I don’t even know what the originals were, so . . . But I might as well vote. Maybe. I ought to put in a word for Stonehenge, at any rate.
153/5-hahaha! thats their perspective.
158-what are the choices?
Okay, I voted.
122- yes. pies back.
Thank you for all the pies. i am now covered in fruity and pastry goodness. i also know more than i ever knew about the fourth of july. thank you. me does not understand the USA history and stuff.
163- there are 21 different choices, but you need to hurry. Sorry for rushing you.
Well, I voted, but haven’t yet confirmed.
Good night, rest o the thought that there are more than 7 wonders of this world anyway.
I know. But several officcial architectural wonders.
In case the gapas don’t accept my generous offer of french silk pie as payment for a “guess what mbers look like thread” what do you guys think I look like?
Sorry for the dp but I just realized that (I think) there are a few basic rites of passage on museblog (in no particular order ) :
1. get into a fight with FS
2. Get a first post
3. get pied
4. participate in an rrr
5. appear on a museblog generation thingy
Unrelated: does anyone have a runescape?
172- Yes, I gave up. One of my friends got killed by a chicken, that’s the only good thing about it that I can think of. I quit because I lost all my stuff when I died.
170- Do you mean against FS? I’ve done everything else…
170) Post mongering is to be discouraged
Oops. I missed 5. Oh well.
Good night, dear people! I shall return on the morrow to see what has occurred in my absence.
Ooh, ooh- What do I look like? Guess!
Ahhg, I woke up early. Oh well. We’re going to the Taste of Chicago today, has anyone else went? We’re leaving for the train around 10.
1. Actually, I havn’t really fought with him. I agree with a lot of his ideas, I’m just not so… outspoken about them.
2. Several
3. Oh yes
4. Several. But they all die…
5. Twice, ha
172- I used to play Runescape..but I haven’t in a long time…
170-
1. Song Lyrics, probably the stupidest fight ever…
2. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten a first post
3. of course!
4. I’ve wanted to, but I can never keep up with the writing threads on this blog…they move fast
5. gen. 10
179-*hands pie*
GAPAs-can we have thread for guessing what MBers look like where people can send in pictures to be posted???
I FINALLY sent my letter off to Muse. So GAPAs-if anybody asks who some weird kid named “Red-tailed HAWK” is, just say you know him from the blog!
177- You have shoulder length black hair, and light blue eyes, pale skin, and is wearing a dress that is either emerald or saphire.
175- Interesting.
180- I requested it too on the suggestion box thread.
Speaking of letters, I sent one the other day, and I got was an email back replying politely. I take it that meant it’s not going to be published.
4) Yes. (It died, but so what?)
5) Yes. Gen 12.
What do I look like?
183- you’re right. sadly.
183-Wow! Somebody there ALREADY sent an e-mail! And it seems it might get published sometime! Fast reply! Thanks, Muse editors!
Sorry about yours, Alice!
185- Ask that on the Physiognomy thread, and I will answer.
184- *pies*
183- I got that too. Let’s see if I can find it in my cluttered up mailbox…
Nope. Gone. I’m trying to write another one, though, so I might get it again.
184-PIESBIGPIESBUTITHINKIDIDPIEYOUONETIMEATLEASTBUTYOUCANHAVEMOREPIESANYWAYPIESPIES*
175- I’m sorry to say, but you’re wrong on all accounts.
192 (Biblio)- I didn’t really think I was right.
I actually have some people’s descriptions somwhere from when I was making sims. By the way, i gave those up. sorry.
Calling all mac people: Press the button that has an apple on it next to the space bar and then press the shift bar and the = button to make + while holding down the apple button. Press it several times!
Could we try to revive the writing thread maybe?
195: For those of you mac users who tried this, hold down the same keys except _- instead of += to get rid of this.
Hi peoples.
195- wow.
I did it! I did it! I was able to give up MuseBlog for 1 day!
200-*gasp* I’m ashamed of you!!! How could you even think about doing something like that, of your own_free_will?!?!?!
Hey, guess what, everyone??? This week, there’s a Friday the 13th…mwahahaaa…
Happy 07/07/07!
I wonder how the Harry Potter freakfest is going…….
201 – I’m trying to quit my severe addiction to MuseBlog. I’m starting veeeeeeeeeeeery slowly………..
I’m going to the midnight premier of OOTP yay.
sorry for the double post.I’m going as tonks.
204-Quit MB ENTIRELY?!?!?!?!??!!?!??! *piespiespies to stop him*
208- No, just stop his addiction. It’s good to be able to walk away and take a break for a few days sometimes.
Like when I get into nostalgic oldie mode.
P. Canix
And there was much rejoicing.
210- Congratulations! *pies with elderberry pie*
208 – In a few weeks, I may be forced to leave MuseBlog, or at least only be able to post once every few weeks. That is why I’m slowly giving it up now, so I won’t go insane when I have to flat-out leave.
On a related note, I will not be on MuseBlog tomorrow.
212- NOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! You will be missed…
212- Why?
210- yay!
I may also be gone for a little while in a week or so.. We are moving into an apartment, so I’ll have to take a while before internet. The apartment has a skating rink and public pool practically right next to it… And the biggest park in Copenhagen, which is the equivelent of Central Park!

Good luck… I hope they let you back…
Even just telling them you’re willing to only go on for an hour or two a night could help. Maybe even tell them they can email the GAPA about security. But don’t spend a lot of time on the computer while your doing this, therwise they might not let you.
*pies jadestone* Ha!
216- *feels sympathetic* Write a letter to Muse asking them to describe the blog to your parents. Also tell them about RRR- you doing creative writing and thoughtful discussion in the summer. That should give them a good reason to let you on.
E2MB- DON’T QUIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
216- Ask them what their objections are. If it’s privacy, like Jadestone said, tell them you would never give out your name and address. Stalkers, same thing. Pornography, ask them if they really think you would go on sites like that.
Other than that, I have no advice. Good luck.

*sends chocolate to everybody who responded except Prarilus Canix*
*sends Prarilus Canix an apple pie because he is allergic to chocolate*
218- Thanks, man!
216- Show them the letter from that one girl in the last muse!
The new seven wonders are:
Chichén Itzá,Christ Redeemer, The Great Wall, Machu Picchu,
Petra The Roman Colloseum, The Taj Mahal,
200- Good for you!
228 – Blahblahblah is a young newbie, who has been going around and posting stuff like that on threads.
227 – (response to 217, 218) I think agagabagabag is just a little uncomfterable about showing his parents his love life, which is what he’s posted on the Romance & Relationships thread.
228 – Sure, thanks!
yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahaha
230- My mom is fine, but my dad teases me. And l get the feeling that they just won’t approve of the site in general.
(216, 221) Muse doesn’t have much to do with the blog, though it’s nice to see (in the July issue) that the editors approve of it. We GAPAs, however, will gladly answer any questions your parents care to send us at gapa-at-musefanpage-dot-com.
241- WTF? Why would anyone vote for something like that? IT”S UGLY!
217- My problem exactly.
Great. It posted twice. I hoped that I was soon enough pressing the stop loading page button, but I wasn’t. I should have just made it a seperate post…
Stonehenge didn’t win? Aw, darn. I ♥ stone circles.
242- Ugly? I think it’s a cool symbol of america, but I don’t think it deserved to be one of the wonders of the world. That honor should go to truly incredible structures. Now they are doing the seven wonders of nature.
237- Yes!
243- Agreed. But Invader Zim?
I was suprized that stonehenge didn’t even make the semi-finals. Grr. I really wanted that one to get in.
College Survey:
Which state do you want it to be in?
Michigan
What field will you pursue?
Hey! I am back. I have not been on for 3 whole days! Kind of good, but now I’ve missed a lot. I have been gearing up for leaving MB for three weeks, while at CTY. I am so excited!
252- Wow, that’s really good!! Congratulations! Was this the time that counted?
252- ACT? *Wikipedias* 30? That’s a 97!! But you’re going to college? When?
250- Oh NO! But . . . oh NO! *horrified*
Hey, has anyone seen Sicko? I read about it in the New Yorker. (Funny that we get it, given our location.) Wouldn’t it be a lot easier if the US had a synchronized hospital system so that no one had to worry about insurance and the like?
256 – I know.
It will only be a matter of time until they change the password, and then…
We REALLY have to finish the sci-fi RRR. Like, now. *runs to sci-fi RRR thread*
Goodbye, all! I’m going to a running camp. Be back Wednesday!
258- That’s exactly what I was thinking. *rushes off*
253- *pies with welcome-back pie* I wondered where you were.
259- Have a nice time!
OH MY GOD OH MY GOD OH MY GOD!!!!!!!! I’M SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HYPER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!! My parents just recently told me that we are going back to NYC this Thanksgiving so I can be in the Macy’s parade again!!! I hope I dont sound like I am bragging, it just means so much to me, the first time was awesome, and I didnt think they would let me go again becuase of the money! I cried for like 10 minutes when I found out, *starts to sniffle* I am so happy! Dance is my life, and its just awesome to be able to do this (ok I will stop now, I sound aweful and selfish and like a braggert, I’m sorry!!!)!!!!
So what’s up everybody? I am extremely board, I am waiting for my friend to call to tell me she is home becuase I am going to spend the night there, but she is gone at a party right now.
We just got back from Mexico on the 4th, there were Iguanas EVERYWHERE, and they were soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
I’m at camp! Yay for compys with internet, is what I say. I’m stopping in, quickly, now. I’ll try to return later…
I miss you all! *goes off to explore the threads*
Hello! I haven’t been on here for a while…
And I’m not OJ353 or Lion611, It says I am on the Who’s here page…
*salutes*
Welcome aboard, Admiral!
*Welcomes aboard*
Too early to be on the blog…R-tH, I misread your post and thought you said enlarged spiders…need coffee…
279- Okay. *shrugs* I don’t pointless post very often.
280- Coffee! I haven’t any real coffee, but here’s some virtual coffee.
Thanks, Alice! *feels virtually awake now*
Would anyone like to know why both the phone and the internet were down?
288- ugh ugh ugh I have to take that class in August…I am going to be the worst driver ever. 50 hours? I wonder if that’s the same everywhere…-fears-
I luuuuuuurve red tea.
292 – Have fun in France! Ask the people in Paris what they think of the film Ratatouille.
292- You might be able to find an internet cafe, or if you have a laptop with you an open wireless network. That’s how I survived the French Alps.
291- Written. Well, multiple choice/matching. It was mostly common sence and saying what each road sign meant. I got a 95.
292- Have fun!
WE JUST GOT A DOG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
278- You have a swollen spleen??? And you’re so upbeat!
Oh my god, save me. I’m just beginning to research publishing. I think first I should research how to research. And somehow manage get enough money to pay for a how-to-publish course…
Oh well. I’m serious, therefore I won’t give up. And I won’t mind being rejected, either. I will be made of steel.
…
Okay, maybe not made of steel. But I won’t give up.
296- Righto. Heh, that test was funny. I seriously had to identify a STOP sign. And orange signs in general… Heh, but you did better than I did. 15/18. Just passed, because you can only get three wrong.
AAAAAAHHHH!!!! I go on a vacation for 4 days and there are hundreds more posts!!!!! *reads frantically to keep up*
297-
My condolencesThat’s, ummm, great!Lady Bunniful, you are amazing.
300- We had 50 questions though, not 18. So we could get more wrong. And there were about 20 signs we had to label, and I knew all of them, as they were rather simple.
The permit’s didn’t come today either. I think he’s just telling us they’ll come to make us go to class, then he’ll only hand them out at the end. Hmm.
303- Welcome back! Where did you go?
Bookshop lady is indeed a hero. If we ever see her we should inform her of this.
In my previous post, I meant the eagle’s wingbone. : oops :
hmm…GAPAs, can we have another Coy Woodnesse thread? i lurved the last one.
302- Wow. The enthusiasm your enthusiasm is inspriring.
303- So is my mom! But we got a poodle and they are hypo-allergenic!
308- Wait…oops! Just pretend the “the enthusiasm” isn’t there.
Hello! I’m new @this. Just so you know, Holly Short is from Artemis Foul. Okay, so how does this work?!? Aha. I have it. Okay, sorry ’bout that!
310- Hello! *pies* Why don’t you head over to the Welcome, Newcomers! thread if you havn’t already?
310- Welcome! *pies*
yes! yes! I love pies! I’ve been so deprived after the pie war thread dried up! ahahahahaha!*Pies Holly short at least one hundred times* ahahahaha…
*rushes off to Books in Progress*
the only one I knew was falling off the edge…
310- While he was foul in the first book, it’s actually “Fowl”, like a bird.
315- At that point in time everyone was running around screaming “I’M THE CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE I’M THE CENTER OF THE UNIVERSE” so I don’t think sense was on the minds of many.
315- the Catholics belived the earth was flat. above it was heven, below hell. if you dug deep you whould fall in to hell.
313- *pies* Snap out of it!
