MuseBlog is being overhauled so that various components will work nicely together and not explode into a chrono-synclastic infundibulum or something. As a result, things may look odd around here for a while. We regret the inconvenience.

Wow, a new thread after only 221 comments? Okay..
I really like the picture! A bit scary…not as scary as Rebecca’s HPB Cell Culture, though
Hey! New thread!
Yeah, the pic is great! From Muse on the Loose, right?
And GAPAs? Thanks for the RRS. It’s da pwn.
Hello good comrades! Writing this to you from my NEW COMPUTER, huzzah!
Life is totally unremarkable. I’ve switched novels from West of West which was deader than a doorknob to a book that I’m highly inspired to write, and I’m enjoying my Thanksgiving break.
I’ve noticed that after eight days away from the Blog, I feel no withdrawal symptoms. That’s nice.
I plan to audition for the winter play. Yay! And then I’m going to try to get into the Ocean Sciences Bowl, which’ll be a lot of fun.
And that’s my life.
Hi Alice. Considering how remarkable your life has been lately, I guess it’s a good thing it’s unremarkable for a little while.
On a different topic: PIE. I made an experimental pie today. It’s coconut pumpkin pie. Instead of cow’s milk I used coconut milk. And instead of the usual mix of spices I used only nutmeg and vanilla. It smells really good but I have to wait to taste it until tomorrow. Unless someone pies me with it before then.
4- *drools*
Alice, congratz on the new computor!
We missed you here. A lot. We suffered from Alice withdrawl.
4- My mom always does that, because we keep kosher therefore we can’t have a dairy pie and turkey. The pie is really good, it actually tastes better than the kind made with regular milk.
Pie!!!
Hmmm… My mom was up all night making pies. So our kitchen is filled with Pie.
I think she has made pumkin, and pecan… I hate pecan pie
It would be interesting to pie someone with a pecan pie…..
We never make pies for thankgiving…
and this year we are not even going to have a turkey!
I think we are having stuffed cornish hens instead, which is good enough!
3 (Alice) – Would you like me to send you the Sea Roc and Role-playing Writing? Congratulations on your new computer!!!
4 (Rosanne) – Awesome! Yesterday THF had a half-day of school, so she and some friends made 40 (yes, FORTY) pumpkin pies for the homeless! I think we’re making pumkin pie and apple pie today.

This thread is needed right now. The problem’s completely out of hand, we need to figure out what to do about it. The lack of control is the main reason why I only post on a few threads, and then yell on any others where some damn newbie is PoPoing (or damn oldbie, for that matter).
4-Wow, I cant believe there are so many Jewish people here (not in a racist way bcauz I’m jewish.) And also, Pecan pie is really good, if you make it right.
But very hard on your nose if it hits you in the face. That’s one crusto volanti you definitely don’t want to obstare.
10- agreed. some people who will not be named but they know who they are have been posting stuff like “WAH” and “I LIKE CUCUMBERS SAY YES IF YOU AGREE” First of all, its pointless, and second of all its rude to shout. The GAPAs should definetely zap any post that breaks the rules. So, I think we should revive that post and stop the PoPoing.
If not then we should make a petition to get it on the site.
My mother made THE best pecan pie ever (though my youngest brother’s comes close). Non-related persons shared this judgment, I might add. She even arranged the nut halves in concentric circles. They were beautiful to behold.
You definitely didn’t want to be pied with one, however, as it contained mostly pecans with just enough filling to balance the flavor and hold everything together.
(13) As I mentioned elsewhere, we don’t know a post’s destination until after the fact. We retrozap in egregious cases but believe bloggers learn their way more quickly from peer reactions.
The vast majority of popoing comes from the exuberance of newcomers who usually either catch on to the Ways of the Blog or depart in short order. Some of those who stay become highly esteemed MuseBloggers once they recover from their initial giddiness, which is one reason why we encourage everyone to be polite in their objections.
Pecan… not so much.. I lurv chocolate pie, starwberry rhubarb pie, blueberry pie, and alot more. Pecan’s okay if it has some chocolate or something else in it.
9- OMG, I made lunches for the homeless yesterday too! Me and my three other friends made lunches for the synagogue’s soup kitchen. We called ourselves the Happy Hobo Company.
IT’S FINALLY SNOWING!!! YAYAYAYAY! mmm.
I’m so happy! It’s snowing! We got our pies from the bakery this year, We were lazy.
14- Oh, I LOVE pecan. But not in my face. They are almost as bad as spike pies. Do you think I’ve caught on with the Ways of the Blog yet?
I’m not a huge fan of fruit pies….I much prefer chocolate! My mom made a crustless pumpkin pie ’cause she’s on Weight Watchers. It was actually reeeeeeeeeeeally good!
Happy Thanksgiving everybody!!!!!!

My mom made an apple pie. *yum yum*
It’s snowing!
I like the taste of Pecan pies, sort of, but I don’t like them because I can’t eat the nuts and it would be really tedious and bothersome and such. It’s one of my dad’s favorite type of pie, I think. He likes it almost as much as strawberry rhubarb
All right, y’all, I’m going over the river and through the woods– well, actually over the highway and through the bridge to my aunts house in Maryland we go. Soon. I won’t be here for a couple of days…*sob sob*
*uncontrollable sobbing*
hiya everybody…yeah…I’m back. Now, I have no Idea whether anyone thought I had a signifigant impact on the blog to be important/missed. I’m at my cousins house for break, so blogging will be hard…this may be my only post…I think the best way to describe my current posting is ramdomly random. Because I only post randomly at random….oh well…I didn’t actually read this thread…ummmm….there’re probably too many unnamed noobs for me to know…*sigh*. I’m declaring peace on the pie wars because they stalled just for me….
hey gim!
it snooooowwwed today!!!!!!! woot! actualy it was hail and then it turned to snow later on. so when i got home today (at about 6ish mebe) there was a carpet of snow over a thick layer of ice on our driveway. but it was happy (excpt for the hail and flakes that kept flying into my eyes). i do love winter and freezing weather. althoug i grumble. totday was the last improv club before the break because we have exams in 3 weeks (gasp! shock! must study!) but it was soooo fun. i think i’m the only one of my friends who actualy looves improv club. the rest of them are all “arg. improv club. i wanna go home.” ah well. sucks to be them. on the subject of pie: mmmm…….. when’s thanksgiving again?
7- my great aunt makes the best chocolate pecan pie in the world. It literally tastes like a molten chocolate chip cookie.
we have thanksgiving at my house every year. MY COUSIN LET ME TRY ON HER POINTE SHOES TODAY!!!!! they are awesome. im so ready for these shoes, i’ve wanted them since i was six. Iearned all the positions from a book and practiced them every day untill my mom took me for lessons. Now look at me. in ballet: I’m about a week away from getting the shoes. in tap: i quit, my danceteacher hates me. in jazz: i love jazz almost as much as ballet but my danc teacher is making us look like hookers so i might just quit. btw for anyone who doesn’t know pointe shoes are the block shoes for ballerinas. on a different topic……. i found a latin moment in the wizard of oz. the wizard says “now off to the land of Epluribus Unum!”
srry for the double post but I had to say this: i’m leaving *breaks off for a sob* an i wont be back tomorrow but NEVER FEAR! i should be back saturday. i kno u’ll just be counting the seconds……
As many of you know, l planned to write my NaNo on the life of agagabagabag. However, l decided that it would be best if l just left it as a regular work. The point is that since it’s set in the Musiverse, everyone else is a muser. Some Musers l would like to put in are:
The people of zemtee, battling the TAM:
Me
C++DM
Gim
Beavo
RtH
Kagy
My rescuers from pie isle:
Lady cinnamoon
TNO
TMFA
New pie war people:
Gwendolyn
Jadestone
PC
Alice
Glassboro
Obscure refrences:
Oxlin Widdershins
Midnight fiddler
9 (Pan)- Oh yes! I’ve asked for them on the respective threads. Setting up my email now….
18 (IBCF)- Well, considering that you weren’t here before I went away and you seem pretty much like you’ve been here for ages, I would say yes.
23 (Gim)- Long time no see!
25 (Greekgurl etc.)- I want to take Latin, for the simple reason that from there I could learn easily Spanish, French, Italian, Romansh, Portuguese, and all those other Romance languages.
27- If you’re asking my permission, then of course you can put me in.
I am feeling wonderfully appreciative of the MuseBlog and all those in it. *hands out chocolate*
Happy Belated Thanksgiving everyone!
My dad made the bestest pecan pie, my mom made the bestest pumpkin pie, and me, myself made the bestesterest jello thngs EVER! :grin; Yay! Happy day!
OMG! I just noticed that! They used my picture! :is proud:
28 (Alice) – Yeah, I checked this before looking on the others. I’m glad you got them!
30 (kiwimuncher) – Yeah, it’s flamablamablous! ::pies::
Happy Black Friday peoples… Ha*coughcough*ha
I am going to stay at home and eat pie. I am not going to go anywhere at all. Except I kind of do need a winter coat.
It’s supposed to snow today!!!!!!!!!!!
My big sister figure actually going to go shopping today. I think she is insane, but in a bad way.
27- sure, use me.
just an idea: make up a lot about your past on pie isle and (this would be really cool) make it from old agagabagabag’s view, make up stuff in the future. just less from what we wrote. just an idea.
*eats choklit* yum! thanks alice!
i’m going black friday “shopping” ie, hanging out at easton and making fun of people.
oh, and forcing dan into uber-girly shops, can’t forget that.
but i’ve got an hour before we go so i am going to WRITE! and when i come back too. i figured if i do 3k a day i should be caught up in five days? maybe
27- Sure, use me. I have no trouble, and I’m using some MBers without permission in my Winter Writing Project.
I’m back! Miss me? (Yes you did).
27-I’d be honored to be in your novel. People who are already in mine are as follows:
Grant O-Chairmen (duh) of the Wizagov
Ebeth-Co-Founder of Jabeth School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
Jadestone-Co-Founder of Jabeth School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
Prarillius Canix-Villain #1
Uh, that’s it, I think.
Anyone can use me in their novels and such.
Robert–I checked the library and Amazon and all other book-selling-borrowing locations I could find and I couldn’t find “Games Ancient and Modern and How to Play Them.” Do you know where you found it?
Sorry, I mistyped. The book was actually called “Games Ancient and Oriental and How to Play Them,” by Edward Falkener. It was one of those lovely, dowdy, no-nonsense Dover books.
38 (Robert) – Awesome, thanks!
[[sorry, I mean flamablamablous!!]]
yes. Hello, Alice and Kagcomix. Happy Belated thanksgiving! Or un-belated if you’re on the other side of the world…
I wish it snowed where I was….Kagy-are you up north somewhere(no specifics)?
by the way, Alice-how is the situation with the house/being on museblog frequently? I’d like to be up to date.
40-She lives in Canada.
27- i’m not on zemtee and i have no idea what TAM is but still, i’m very flattered *blushes*
40- i live in the grat lakes-St.lawrence lowlands of Canada. where is that? you ask… well, go study canadian geography!
42- quite right you are!
I swear, I think I’m completely hopeless. I’m wayyyy behind on NaNo and I am already thinking about a possible sequel.
Leaving the topic of NaNo behind (except for that one little thing I had to put out there), life is good. Thanksgiving was great, turkey does in fact make you sleep. And punctuation is very overrated. Well, that’s just how I’m feeling today. I also am in a typing mood so I think I’ll work on my NaNo instead of having dinner. Oops, there I go, talking about NaNo again.
Anyways, I went to the outdoor shops today and a craft show before that with one of my best friends. We saw “Bee Movie” and it was soooooooo cute! It wasn’t as funny as I thought it would be, but one of the funniest lines was when the bee, Barry (sp?) was telling the mosquito to take his place/fill in for a while as the legal consultant and the cow asked him if he was really a lawyer (the mosquito, not Barry). The mosquito replied, “Well, I was already a blood-sucking parasite, all I needed was a briefcase!” Haha. One of the funniest lines in the movie, which I would recommend to everyone here, even if it is a bit kid-ish. But, we’re all kids inside… *grins*
So yeah. I’m just going to stop typing at the moment because I need to get back to writing my NaNo (because I’m wayyy behind) and also people don’t like reading long posts. Or at least, I don’t. So I’m going to spare all you Musers from a ridiculously long post and stop typing.
P.S. I got a book! Yesss! The third Leven Thumps is out!!! YAY!!! AND IT’S MINE!!!!!! okay, really, I am leaving now. I am going to stop typing.
Oh, I forgot to say I saw HP5.
Yup, it was all right– if you never read the books.
I’ve read all seven eight times each.
Although Umbridge was awesome and so was Bellatrix. I loved Bellatrix.
33- That’s my plan.
I’m cold!!!!!!!!!!!!
I fell down the stairs today, so I ache all over.
Everyone’s in a bad mood.
Maybe I should join them…
*grumpgrumpgrump*
bleh *tireddeath*
so easton was fun. we got lots of funny looks, as usual. between bill’s bright pink hair, my fake tapdancing, dan’s poking us every few seconds to hear us squeak, and leeny’s loud singing of bon jovi songs over and over, it’s kind of surprising we didn’t get more.
we went into the bose store and switched the ipod on the stereo with mine and then bill’s and blasted bon jovi, great big sea, e nomine, carmina burana, free bird, and hansel und gretel.
surprisingly, nobody kicked us out even though we were all singing along loudly
we tapdanced our way through forever 21, shocking the preps into submission. leeny found a couple necklaces, and bill almost got a ring but didn’t. then we went into hot topic and saw this really tall goth guy in a top hat. we wanted to go ask for a hug, but he left before we could catch him. then at gamestop we saw a guy that bill thought was hott, but the rest of us didn’t, and we started making a mii of him on the wii that they had set up there. we were turning around to glance surreptiously (sp?) at him for the hundredth time to get his height, and he was gone. Then i was intelligent and accidentally erased all the miis on there. *is smart* which sucks, because now other customers can’t see the beauty and awesomness that was “p-tail luv”
then we went to B&N and hung out until parentales came to pick us up
48-Ebeth, you have a fun life. And fun friends.
Although I did have quite a lot of fun tap dancing at the food court at my mall. I had squeeky shoes on and a really goth costume. It was so awesome!
And just going to Hot Topic is fun.
O.k.! this belongs on the sci-fi RRR therd, but I am putting it here because NO ONE CARE THERE!
We could senc it to cicadia!
50-submissions office is closed or something
It snowed yesterday! The snowflakes were gigantic, and it was sticking to the ground! Most of it melted away already, but now there’s a layer of frost on our lawn. Yay cold!
27- Sure, use me if you want.
I’m back.
*welcome-back pie*
uggghh…this writing thing is not working out. i might go to the library and try writing there
Hello, back!
I might have missed something- what are spdzk points?
41- We’ve got another house, and I have a computer. We’re not going to get internet in our home (too expensive), but I have a wireless card and there are plenty of cafes with wifi.
48- I can’t decide if you’re the kind of person whom I would be terrified of in real life, or if I would think you were really cool. Probably some of both. You tapdancing through Forever 21 would be a sight to see, though.
49- ^See above.^
Sometimes I think that I really don’t deserve the title even of Honorary Weird Person. I’m too subdued, except sometimes when I’m having fun playing some board game or at the cast/tech dinner after The Dining Room, where I drank about a pot of Chinese tea with lots of sugar. It helped that I was among theater kids, too.
Speaking of weird, I wrote a poem yesterday. I was going to send it to a penpal, but she doesn’t read Muse and I didn’t want to scare her out of writing back so I didn’t. I saved it though. Here it is:
Ode to Plan Mostly Harmless
May your larder always be stocked with pies,
May you aim always be true.
May your days be free from those lagomorphs pink,
And full of lagomophs blue.
57- Crraw would love it.
57- The blessing one gives to a fellow Kokonspirator when he or she is sent out on a dangerous mission that heesh* may not return from.
*epicene!
59- Exactly.
(48, 49, 57) Dancing in stores becomes even more fun as you get older. Trust me on this.
61- Maybe Forever 21 isn’t the best choice, then.
Last night I was playing around with GarageBand. It was the first time I could hear my voice clearly recorded. OH MY GOD! I have such a horrible lisp! *hides in shame* I’m going to make a point of practicing not lisping every day, and I’m going to try to stay away from words that have S in them. Ugh.
k the library was a bad idea…they don’t have any programs. at all. just the internet. i’m going to try the whole gmail thing that somebody was talking about on the nano thread (who was that? PP? don’t remember…)
63- ‘Twas moi and Lady Bunnyful.
64-right. knew it was one of those P names.
yeah, i came home. the library comps are horrible. i’ve never tried them before except to find books but blech. next time i need to do something there i’ll use the typewriters
I need the consent of Rossane and Paul to use them as eville villains in my NaNo and the consent of Robert and Rebecca to be part of the good guys.
(66) I think we’re all fair game, Beavo. Of course, I would say that since I’m one of the good guys.
(66) Hm. Rosanne and Paul as villains? Me as a good guy? That’s different. Permission granted.
65 (Ebeth) – I did say I was interested in the fact, though, so your memory at least sort of worked
Good, cuz I would have used you guys anyway.
Don’t worry, you aren’t too good. Both of you kinda have the job of Arabella Figg, because you’re both faking being teachers when your job is to keep an eye on this kid name Drew and his sister Vanessa.
And plus you’re darn good duelers. You beat up the bad guy with style, might I add.
Beavo (66): Sure, put me in, eville or otherwise. Mwahahaha.
Well, just to show how eville you two are…
I bring you quote!
And I quote… “The Lair of Eville has produced some amazing students, the likes of which have been working eville all over the world. A few names that might be recognized are Paul Baker, who is currently stationed on Bermuda, organizing “disappearancesâ€. He has been quite successful. Another name is Rosanne Spector, who is working on developing mutant humanoids. Some of her past experiments have resulted in creatures such as the Yeti and walking mummies. Our most famous student is the infamous “Prarillius†who has developed skills in all degrees of eville villainy.”
72- Moi-hahahahahahahahahaha!*
*Copyright by R. Coontz: “NaNo villain laugh.”
72- What’s my current station and mission?
Hi everyone!!! I’m back, I MISSED YOU!!!
Did anyone watch the Macy’s parade? I was in the very first number “Making Magic”. It was sooooooooooooo much fun!!! And guess what? I saw the Jonas brothers!! Ok sorry enough of that. So whats up?
We missed you too, DG13. Welcome back! *pies*
I wish I was at the Macy’s parade. My friend went last year and complained about not seeing Hannah Montana.
dafadfasjfahlsg
I have to write.
And my mom’s woken me up and 10 a.m. for the last three days. I AM A PREADOLESCENT I NEED MY 12 HOURS OF SLEEP. what a waste of a weekend.
i found my purse w/ my ipod and cell in it. i thought i had left it at the movies and that some bum was making calls to china but it was in my moms car.
Grant has a new coat. The first one since 5th grade. That one really wasn’t new, either. Aren’t hand-me-downs wonderful.
I can’t wait to go alpine skiing this winter! Perhaps I’ll go with some of my friends to Peak N Peak. Or however you spell it. It’s still awesome.
Hi, it’s me again!
I apologize that I haven’t posted in months. I’ve been busy writing a LOT lately. I’m working on writing a novel and I’m getting pretty far. I decided to come back to the blog to see all the Bloggers again. Speaking of which, WHY no more pie wars???!!! cry cry CRYCRYCRY ok I guess Its not that bad.ANYways, I’m glad to be back to the old grind.
Peece and Pies,
Agrrrfishi(working to save the white albino tigers)
I love cheese!
I wrote an essay a couple of weeks ago. It was an analysis of a poem called “Twa Corbies,” which is terrific. The essay was rather short, as I am a rather concise writer, but it got a 92 out of 100. (Mostly because I forgot the word for “iambic rhyme.”)
The poem itself is smashing, and it runs as follows:
As I was walking all alane,
I heard twa corbies making a mane;
The tane unto the t’other say,
‘Where sall we gang and dine to-day,
Where sall we gang and dine to-day?’
‘In behint yon auld fail dyke,
I wot there lies a new slain knight;
And naebody kens that he lies there,
But his hawk, his honnd, and lady fair,
His hawk, his honnd, and lady fair.
‘His hound is to the hunting gane,
His hawk to fetch the wild-fowl hame,
His lady ‘a ta’en another mate,
So we may mak our dinner sweet,
We may mak our dinner sweet.
‘Ye’ll sit on his white hause-bane,
And I’ll pike out his bonny blue een;
Wi ae lock o his gowden hair
We’ll theek our nest when it grows bare,
We’ll theek our nest when it grows bare.’
‘Mony a one for him makes mane,
But nane sall ken where he is gane;
Oer his white banes, when they are bare,
The wind sail blaw for evennair,
The wind sail blaw for evennair.’
Great stuff.
I wnet to the one of a kind craft show today. twas smashing! i got 3 pairs of earings for myself and variouse gifts and cards for variouse friends. i was waring my “resistance is museless” t-shirt and i got complements from complete strangers! it was so happy! they were all “oooo i like your shirt! they’re so cute! are they bunnies? where are they from? are they the logo for something?”” and i proceded to explain about muse. it ws very happy.
82- Ooh! I ♥ that poem. Even though ’tis most icky and disturbing. I believe it’s a parody of Three Ravens. The version I know is sung by Tim Van Eyken, and sometimes I have to melody stuck in my head for days.
83- Yay for Resistance is Museless! I want one.
82- I agree with Alice, that’s great.
Seeing Grant O.’s post quite drove the real news out of my mind! I’m coming to Chicago! This Spring, I believe, and we can have a kokon! Or at least I hope we can have a kokon.
82-AAAAAAAAHHHHH I LOVE SCOTTISH ACCENTS
ok yeah, i wasn’t actually reading it with an accent. but i could hear it in my head, ok? gawsh.
So, like I said, Chicago. Probably in March or possibly June. My mother doesn’t want to go to Chicago in the Summer – too hot – and she’s going to New Orleans in April and California (maybe) in May. I don’t mind missing a few days of school to go to Chicago – honestly, who would? I want to go visit the Muse offices!
I want to go to Chicago. 0.0
I might to get to go to DC right after school ends…MIGHT…my school’s going on a trip there, but my parents might not let me. And besides, I wouldn’t be able to get away to go to a Kokonvention anyways.
87- It’s Welsh.
I ♥ Chicago! My mom was born there, so we visit quite often, even though none of my family lives there anymore.
I have never been to Chicago. It might be amusing to go.
Aw, I won’t get to go to a Kokonvention. *sad* I always wanted to go to Chicagoland.
Aww. I want to go to a Kokonvention.
82- That is awesome!
I don’t understand my math homework. I have to find the distance between two parallel lines but I con’t use the pythagorean theorem because would only have the length of one side. and there aren’t any points directly across from each other of which I know the coordinates. Any geometry genuises here?
79- omg we go to Peak n’ Peak too!
im going to DC in february w/ some friends
90-pretty close. in terms of accents anyway. and words. and stuff.
don’t ask for intelligent conversation, i’ve been living off pistachios and tootsie rolls
94-I have no idea.
¡ ♥  !!!
That was made with all symbols, the i was an upside down ! !!!
I now know how to make some new symbols, w00t!!!!! Yay
Kiwimuncher-I love cheese too!
Red-tailed HAWK the Random today

90- Actually it is Scottish. Macbeth! Macbeth! Macbeth!
I don’t want to go to school tomorrow. Maybe I’ll get out of it. It’s supposed to snow.
*spaces out*
I’m back!
101-hiya piggy! I’ve been gone too, but welcome back anyways!
57-oh! That is good.
I have nothing left to say…I feel tired, too. My vacation has had me going to sleep at 12 and 1…
Yay! All these people are coming back after a while, and all these newbies are popping up out of nowhere!
And there was much rejoycing.
103-along with eating robin’s minstrels.
103- With great quantities of meat, booze, singing, dancing, and women.
Okay, I’m back! I’ve been at a relative’s house for the past few days, and she had a computer, but I couldn’t get to MB much. Hi everyone!
100-Oooooh, snow, yesyesyessnowcometoomeeecomeCOMESNOWNOW!!!!!!! *hermhokhackchokespit* Excuse me, I was just choking a little bit…*looks sad with bare ground and no leaves left on the trees–fill the gap with snow!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Red-tailed HAWK

94 (Unintended Pun) – I’m not a Geometry genius, but I can probably help you. Can you tell me the exact problem and the information you’re given?
It snowed yesterday, while we were raking leaves. It was actually sticking for a little while, but then it stopped. Our biggest “snow” so far this year was a few days ago, when it *actually* stuck to the ground. It melted the next day, but it was fun while it lasted
(94) Do you have the equations for the lines, or do you have to find the distance by construction?
We need a Kokonvention in Boston. Do we have any other Boston area MBers?
Anyways I went to Maine for vacation. It was really fun. And tomorrow I have a day off!
110-I’m still hoping for a West Coast Kokonvention, but I doubt that’s happening.
eleventy one- (cat’s meow) I’m still hoping for a Canada Kokonvetion (or wouild that be Kanada Kokonvention) but I know it’s out of the question…
110- I’m a southern-NH MBer, which is close enough to Boston…
110 (Cliff Eagle) – If we had one in Boston that would be yet another reason for me to go! (to Boston). I’ve been begging my parents to go for the past 10 years, because I used to live there and want to visit. But I probably won’t be able to go. Oh well…
No one else said hi to me.
So whats goin on? Our honors language arts class HAS to do the young authers thingamabob, so here is the list of ideas I have. Which one do you guys think I should do?
1.) last years dance recital
2.) being a vegetarian, what it means to me, and how I want to be an animal rights activist
3.) Meeting my best friend in the whole world when I was 4
4.) growing up as a dancer
or something else? What do you guys think?
115- Hi!!! What young authors thing? I’d write about number 2 I guess…
So yes. I’m tired. As usual. I’m sending three of my friends on a clue hunt. Haha. I’m slipping notes inside their lockers tomorrow. Or the next day. Whenever I finish writing them. ’twill be fun. Other than that I’m going to go write. Byes.
115 – Hi. I think you should not do number 2. Usually when I hear someone’s writing about how they are a vegetarian, it is full of moral accusations without a single fact in the entire thing. I’m certain it’s possible to write something good about being a vegetarian, but it might be difficult. Number 4 sounds like a really good idea, especially since I can tell that dancing means a lot to you.
115/117- idk, i think number two would be a good choice actually. it wouldn’t necessarily have to be moral accusations, remember that this is a MBer
the second one sounds like it has a lot of opportunity. idk how long it has to be or anything, but it seems like the easiest to write.
the sports page is DONE w00t! no torch for ebeth tomorrow.
also HI! *waves at dancergirl*
Just a wave? With an empty hand?
Question–what will the December Random Thread be called?
119-I’ve been spending too much time in the real world/nano (nano is the real world, what are you talking about? reality is a myth) Many apologies, dancergirl. *waves threateningly, pie in hand, and then pies dancergirl with said pie*
115-I said hi! Yes, I did. I promise you I said hi. I would pick 4 or 3.
(120) Beats me. I’m waiting for inspiration and am open to suggestions.
Dec(imal). Discussion.
115-Hi! *pies you and Robert all at once*
I’d write about numba tooo. Iyam feeling liyk riyting this way for som reezon. It iz rayning. Not Snow, wich wood bee niyce. Sorreee for teh very straynge speling todayy.
Red-tayeld HAWK

(115) I’d vote for number 4, because it’s the one I’d most like to read.
Oops, I vote:
Deadember
Hot Koko with Marshmallow
Ummmmm……..The second one is probably the best, isn’t it?
Red-tailed HAWK

115- I’d note for 3 or 4….
double post- vote, not note…
Hot Koko! Yeah!
Or would that be a bit more appropriate for Jan.?
127- I see that you’ve added exclamation marks to your name, RtH.
My teacher is such a DIRP. All of her assignments are WOMBATS. She messed up the difference between eukaryotic and prokaryotic cells, for the love of Mike. And additionally, she happens to be incapable of controlling the class, being organized, or anything even remotely like that. ILWWL (It’s Like Working With Lassie).
Okay, done with my incredible acronyms. They’re BA. (Bad Attitude)
Sorry about that. Withdrawal symptoms.
Hello, Juliette. What nefarious pursuits have been occupying your time and depriving us of your company?
Guess what? THF’s coming back!! *dorky happy dance*
On another note, has anyone played the game “Battle for Wesnoth?” It’s a free game that you can download, and I’ve been playing it with my family this break. And it’s really funny! There are different characters which battle against each other, and the point of the game is to kill your opponent’s king. The best part is: the different characters are really similar to LOTR!! There are ents, elves, men, orcs, trolls, dwarves, and other characters. (No hobbits, though). And they have really funny names!!! For example, one of my Ents had the name “TreeMoustache,” (like Treebeard). I’ve also had elves named Eowyn and Galadriel.
134- AAAAAYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DO YOU REALIZE WHAT THIS MEANS???
THF IS THE KEEPER OF THE CHRONICLES OF ETHETERRE! RRR V. 2006.6!!! ONCE NANO IS OVER, WE CAN FINALLY CONTINUE EDITING IT! AND MAYBE START ON A SEQUEL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *dorky happy dance*
Sorry. I just react happily to news like this.
Wesnoth sounds strangely like a corruption of Westernesse.
An Elf named Eowyn? That’s odd.
135 (Robert) – Yes, it was an Elf named Eowyn. I didn’t say they were perfect, just funny. (Note: Treemoustache). There was also an orc named Gimli, and a dwarf named Elrond.
134- You sure it wasn’t Arwen?
138 (IBCF) – Yes, I’m absolutely positive it was an elf named Eowyn. There was a troll named Arwen, though.
YAYYYY I GOT A CAT!
Her name is Sugar and she’s all white and TOTALLY AWESOME.
Except I’m allergic to her… ah well, here comes the WIPE BRIGADE. AND ALLERGY MEDICINE.
Which happens to share my name. (Allegra)
140- You have a cat named Sugar? SCHVEET.
Today at school, there was blood everywhere. I was surrounded with it. I constantly reminded people of the fact.
I didn’t make that up. I stole it. That’s what I do when I see material I like. However, I do give credit where it is due. Don’t worry, I don’t go around quoting you guys or other people like it’s my own stuff.
I’M BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving, is enjoying life and having sucess in pie flinging, etc. etc…. Just to let everyone know I’m still alive, and posting again….
I had a good Thanksgiving at Jamestown, getting covered in flour from making ships biscut on the pier, and having visitors “help” me out with it. Funfunfun. Then eating all the delicious foods that the other sites were making, that were thankfully more edible than the ships’ stores……yumyumyum. There was some VERY, VERY good pound cake…. *dies in bliss*
Besides the food, I had fun, got to stand on a ship all day and flap my jaws. Such bliss. Dad took billions of pictures, under my command, so all is good. Now I’d better go. G’night all, I’m glad to be back!
Midnight Fiddler!!! Hi!
THP!!! Hi!
¡IBCF!- Yup, I finally figured out how to make them. And the cool  symbols, even if you don’t like macs, it still looks cool.
 I don’t know what a PC symbol would look like, or how to make it either…
Red-tailed HAWK

143- Jamestown? Seriously? Sweet.
115- I personally vote 4.
140- Good for you! (about the cat, not the allergies)
134- Interesting…very interesting….*goes to Yahoo! it*
bored…bored…can’t think of anything more to say….
I have to write a short story for French, which is just a small part of a massive Christmas project that we’re doing. So far my story is about the Grim Reaper hating Santa….
in french (it’s a manditory course up till gr.9 in the frozen north) me and liam and diarmid had to make a script. but mostly liam and i spent time fighting over whether diner is dinner or lunch (i won). the stupid thing about dinner is that in the dictionary it says as he english translation “dinner” but every french teacher i’ve ever had told me it was lunch.
Help needed, Musers! I’m doing a story for my school’s newspaper about random facts, and I figured you guys would be a great source.
Could somebody either help me find some facts or link me to the random facts thread(s) which I can’t find right now? Thanks guys.
147- diner is dinner. dejuener(sp?) is lunch.
I should be either working on my crappy slide show for a very pale, watery book (One Hundred Years of Solitude) or on my college application essay. Eh, I’ll start that after dinner.
147-mom bought a box of gluten-free cereal that wa box was in french
blagh
TOO MUCH HOMEWORK
AM DYING
150-I’m supposed to be working on my podcast or my hyperlink project.
Cool! It finally snowed!
And now I have to go shovel the driveway…
154-Yay! -highfives- It just snowed at my house too! (Well, last night)
147-In Canadian French, which you may never use, it is acceptable for lunch. Of course, for some English speakers, the word ‘dinner’ can also mean lunch.
“Well I’m not dumb but I can’t understand/Why she walks like a woman and talks like a man”
I can see why my brother hated that book with the fiery burning passion of a thousand suns. I can also see why his girlfriend loved it with the smoldering intensity of the coals of a fire built from ash. I do neither of these. I am in the middle. I regard the book as a tall glass of water I must drink even though I’m not thirsty. A neutral experience, with just a bit of salt thrown in because someone is making me read it.
151-i apologize for the complete incoherency of that sentence…i was having a major music crisis, and my comp was moving slowly. it must have missed half the words.
anyway, i forget what was supposed to go in there…
I got invited to the Knowledge Masters Open (or whatever it is). I have no idea what the heck it is. Help, anyone?
159-it’s an ITK thing, where you’re on a team and you answer questions and then your school gets ranked. it’s kind of a tournament thing except i don’t know if there’s actually a next level or not. we just get the score and go “yay, we’re smart” or at least “yay, we have a few smart people”
i’m not in ITK this year, so i won’t be doing it, but i did it twice freshman year. it was fun, we got to skip class and have pizza.
Meh..
I get to take the ACTon the 9th. It is for the wierd Duke TIP thing. It will be entertaining. I did get a thirty on the English part of the practice test though…..
“I want a hippopotamus for christmas…”
*is very happy*
Next year, if 15 people or more sign up, there will be a Model UN elective at my school. As in a class. Not just an after-school activity anymore.
*is happy*
161- If i get a good grade on my sats and psats (75% like) i have 100 percent chance of getting into duke cous my dad and grandma, uncle and aunt went there and my granfather went there.
161-oh college. everybody’s been going crazy like OMGZ U IZ A JUNIOR FIND A COLLEGE QUICK!!1! my former trumpet teacher/occasional math tutor/brother’s french horn teacher is from minnesota, and she heard i was thinking about carleton and she recommended like three other colleges in minnesota, and mom sent me two emails yesterday about random colleges, and colleges are basically all we’re doing in AP L/C now, besides grading AP sample essays. >,
151- cool. up here one side of all packaging is french
156- uh… we use france french not canada french (is that stupid or what, i mean CANADA! seriously!)
164- urgh.
my life is rather neutral to be quite honest. we were learning table manners in french and this one kid is all like “Ew. this is stupid no one uses it anymore” so i said: “actualy robert, somepeople do.” and he replied “well, they’re stupid” and i got “thanks” and he stares at me as if admiting that table manners are enforced in my house (although not as strongly as they used to) is like admitting that…uh… i’m from mars or summat. the only thing i don’t like about life right now is that i speak waaay to properly/oddly. i’ve ommited several words from my vocabulary. so now i speak like this. instead of saying museblog is the awesomnest place evr!!! i now say oh i do like MuseBlog ever so much and i don’t know why i do it! it’s weird it just slips out when i’m talking and it makes my speech sound rather formal (which is funny because i have a Canadian drawl, well, i guess that’s how i’d describe my “accent”). on another note. i just realised i have an accent. i like to think of it as a “Canadian drawl” but it’s probably not reeally a drawl. i don’t pronounce consonants very clearly. i don’t have a good example as it’s kind of hard to explain. but iseriously used to think i said “shut up” but i actualy say “shudup”. which is weird because it’s not just that. wow. though . i’ve never considered me having an accent.i’d say it’s more being lazy really. but i also speak kinda low sometimes. which is interesting because i’ve never considered myself to have a low voice. wow. enough about me analizing how i speak. sorry if i bored you!
OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!! Apparently, we start signing up for our high school classes on the 20th!!! *SCREAMS*
I think number two won, but I dont know if I want to do that because, I dunno. Number 4 got second place so I guess that is what I am going with unless I come up with a better made up story line or something.
165- do you say “aboot”
167- opkay you just had me analizing how i say about…. for about 5 minutes (
) so okay, i say about “ab-ow-oot” . or something along those lines. so if you wanna speak like a KAG say about “a- bow-oot” but really fast so it all meshes together and the oot is not very noticible at all.
canadian accents are teh pwn. mostly because they’re so similar to yooper/northern accents…
actually jk, i guess canadia’s got more accentaciousness.
My printer’s down. My English teacher is going to kill me. I have this twenty-something page story that is due tomorrow. There is no way I could hand-write it. AAAAGHHH!
*drowns impending doom in MB posting*
i kind of have a bawston accent but not really. I also say stuff like “yall” because my parents are from NC and Louisiana. so its a mixtre of both.
162 (Raven) – Awesome! I started a Model UN team at my school this year, and we had a really good time. We were Russia, and we participated in the University of Pittsburgh’s Model UN conference. It was really fun!
I get my PSAT scores back tomorrow, I think.
I tried out for my school’s production of Annie today. Today was just singing auditions so everyone of the same gender was trying-out for the same thing. Since I’m a girl, I had to sing “Maybe”. My sister said that she thought that mine was one of the best auditions. In my opinion, my audition was fine, but not excellent. There weren’t any real mistakes, but I don’t think that my voice is that great. Tomorrow is the acting auditions, so I get to try out for Miss Hannigan. Usually, my acting is my stronger audition. In fact, last year I think I got casted for solely my acting, since my singing was pathetic. As long as my acting isn’t worse than normal, I probably will get a call-back.
113- buffalo area is close enough, right? plz?
146- whats wrong with Santa??
165- i’ve had 5 people ask me if i had a Bristish accent or relatives. i talk really softly, not quietly, but i intentionally calm my voice or sometimes slur certain words (not intentionally)
169- British is better!!!!!!!
173- Go hannigan!!!!! no really i hope you get a good part.
174-britain has a lot of great accents. some of them are indeed extremely schmexy, but some aren’t as fun. cockney is lurve.
174- if you want to drive like 10 hours…..
173 ~ We’re having auditions this week, too. My dancing was terrible, as expected, my singing was kind of eh, and acting is tomorrow. I’m not really trying out to get a part, it was just for the experience. As a freshman at my school, you have to be outstanding to even get in the chorus.
177 – Wow! That sounds difficult. You only have to dance if you want to be in the dance troupe, which is good, since I’m not a good dancer. Also, anyone who wants to be in the chorus can, though there are often lead roles that are ensemble parts.
111- Yes! Yes! Yes! Yes! *chants* West Koast Kokonvention!
The auditions for Marvin’s Room are on Monday! Wheeeeeeeeee!
Lulz. All throughout seventh grade (I was new at the school) some people secretly thought that I was some sort of British because of my accent—which I had picked up, reverently and unconsciously, from the first two Harry Potter movies.
I’ve taken to writing bad short poetry with no capitalization. Mostly in the form of IM away messages. The one last night said:
sleep is nothing but temporary death
do they dream,
the victorious dead?
174- buffalo is pretty close to me. pretty as in a several hour drive.
guess who just saw the mist today? i did. it was terrible and (please don’t laugh) scary. i barely watched it i was mostly covering my eyes and listening for when they stopped killing eachother and/or giant insectiful/tenticaly monsters. if you were planning on seeing this movie DON’T. [SPOILER WARNING SPOILER WARNING STOP READING NOW IF YOU DON’T WANT SPOILERS SPOILER WARNING . –The spoiler gnome] Because everyone dies in the end. the dad shoots his kid. and then he realises that they’re safe. and he cries to the skies. and boy was it a bad choice of movie. i wanted to see enchanted but katie said “i’ve already seen it! let’s watch the mist”. well, never again. i had a half day today which is why we saw the movie. ah well. i mostly ate my lunch durring the movie. while people were being eaten by monsters i was eating soup. when they went to the drugstore i was eating an apple…. ect….
STELLAR NEWS!!!!!!!!! White christmas is coming to my city!!!!!!!! i wanna see it! I saw the film with danny kae(sp?) and danny kae is pretty awesome but seing it on stage would be soooo cool!!!!!
DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAANGGGIIIIT!!!!
I just got my Science Olympiad events, and I’m in four academic events. Four! That’s not fair. Especially when people with only two have two building events. *cries*
Hanukahs on tuesday.
171-I say y’all too and I’m from Northern VA.
173-I got in Annie last year, it was all right. Not the best play in the world. Supposedly we’re doing Mama Mia or Nightmare Before Christmas or Hairspray this year.
175- Cockney=♥ My mom can do a perfect Cockney and I can do it almost as good.
Speaking of poetry, I wrote this awful poem into my NaNo. I gotta lurve the awefullness, it’s above the headmaster’s room in the Lair of Eville.
The Lair of Eville
Some value knowledge
Some value fitness
Some value bravery
Some value riches
But those who got their priorities right
Know that slyness, mistrust, and spite
Will forever lead you right
So if you wish to arrive and depart
To be weak and faint at heart
This Lair is not for you, my dear
For you will rot and decay here.
Acting auditions were today. They went pretty well. Only a few girls tried out for Miss Hannigan (the part I tried out for), much fewer than the other three female parts. Of course, the girls who did try out for Miss Hannigan (excluding me) were the best actresses in the school. Incidentally, the majority of the girls tried out for Lily. There may have been more girls trying out for Lily than for Annie. The funny part was that when they had more people playing one part in a particular scene than the other parts, they would have people of the opposite gender playing the parts that they had run out of people auditioning for so that nobody got a second chance at auditioning. It was funny seeing the school’s strongest male actor trying out for Grace Farell.
185 – I agree. It’s not the best play in the world. I wanted them to do Sound of Music as this year’s musical, but they chose Annie, so we’re doing Annie.
Am I being ignored for some reason, or am I just not being interesting?
*crickets*
Ironic how after I posted that, nothing happened.
183- Lol. I’m in Anatomy, Balloon Launch Glider, and Disease Detective. One of each, yay me!
my braces are killing me.
AHGBLAG TOOMUCHHOMEWORK and NOTENOUGHTIMETONANO
164- but I’m in 7th grade
184-w00t~!!!!!!!
188-No lighting bolts? No loud voices? NOTHING?
*crickets too*
187/188-i was writing. a thousand words in fifteen minutes. A thousand horribly uninteresting words, but words nonetheless. But HI! *waves enthusastically* Here’s a we-recognize-your-awesomeness-pie! *pies*
oh, bad poems are fun…
away messages are odd little creatures though.
does the fact that i was about to post “odd creatures” and added the “little” in there at the last second to increase the wc of that sentence mean anything? is nano going to have a lasting impact on my little-used sanity?
187, 188- You know how many times that has happened to me?
(187, 188) Anyone not writing a novel has trouble getting noticed this month. Besides, attracting attention around here isn’t always such a good idea.
I have 42K on my NaNovel. Which isn’t bad, I just have 8K more to go.
…This post may turn out to be rather long, so bear with me.
We started nonfiction today, and the teacher is the head of the Literary Arts department, and she is absolutely amazing. Plus, I have discovered that Nonfiction is my favorite genre. After taking classes in Nonfiction, Poetry, Fiction, and Dramatic Writing, I feel like I know enough about the genres to be able to decide my favorite. We took journalism last year, and it was definitely my favorite class all year. I’m a co-editor-in-chief of the school newspaper, and I have recently discovered that I am really good at writing newspaper articles. I know that sounds rather pompous, but I was writing an article for the newspaper last week, and I just found it extremely easy to write. I guess I’ve just gotten to the point where I can write them without thinking to hard about how I’m writing it–I’ve written enough that it just kind of works itself out in my brain, so when I write it it’s all organized and stuff. And the Pittsburgh Newspaper keeps printing the articles I submit, so that has to mean something.
And now, we’re doing nonfiction and we’re discussing memory. We’re going to write memoirs and personal essays, and I’m really excited, because doing all of these memory exercises and stuff is amazing. So, I was thinking, perhaps next year for NaNoWriMo I will do some sort of nonfiction project. I know it’s supposed to be a novel, but I don’t really like fiction that much, so I’m considering writing basically a gigantic memoir. Which will take a lot more concentration and time and thought, but that’s okay because I know I won’t win anyway…next year is going to be insane, school-wise.
So, onto another topic. My mom, apparently, has been feeling sick after eating for a long time, so we finally convinced her to go to the doctor. So she had a colonoscopy, and they found a really big “abnormal growth” thing. So, they took biopsies and gave her a CT scan and stuff. The biopsies came back today, I guess, and it turns out she has colon cancer. And she’s going to be okay, because they can take out the tumor and surrounding lymph nodes with key-hole surgery, but I’m kind of shaken up. Because it’s still scary. I don’t really think I’ve ever felt this way before…I can’t really describe it, but it feels like I’m shaking even though I’m not, and such. ::sigh:: I can’t explain it.
Anyway, so I don’t know how much NaNo I’m going to be able to write tonight, since the muscles in my fingers are feeling really weird, along with all my other muscles, so I can’t really type as quickly as I normally can. I’ll just write a ton tomorrow, so I’ll make it, but I was hoping to get at least 4K today. Oh well…
::looks over post::
That was rather long. I can’t really tell, though. Ah, well… ::clicks submit::
(195) Purple Panda, I know what you mean about feeling shaky like that. I’m sorry to hear about your mom. I wish her all the best — along with you and THF and the rest of your family. She has such an energetic spirit that I’m sure will help her and all of you get through this.
Purple Panda,
The GAPAs are thinking very hard about your family and wishing your mother a speedy recovery and all of you courage and resilience and good cheer and you in particular, for the next twenty-four hours, steady fingers and free-flowing sentences.
195- *sends best wishes and support*
Purple Panda-I’m so sorry. Like the GAPAs, I’m wishing your mother a quick recovery. I also know what you mean about feeling shaky. It may not be as scary as your situation, but I recently found out that my grandpa has a gall bladder problem, they had surgery, it didn’t work so well. So now he has pneumonia (or however you spell that). Which is bad for an 81 year old man. *worried* I’m not too good on the whole comfort thing, so…
Get better Mrs. Purple Panda/THP!!
195-hope she gets better soon! *sends virtual get-well cards and choklit*
180- I’m often told I have British accent. Now I wonder if that is because of my lisp, and am trying to think if British accents generally include lisps. I don’t think so.
187- I would NEVER ignore you, Grant.
195- Oh no! I’m sorry.
195- *Gives PP a giant hug* I’m here if you need to talk. I know what it feels like, that sudden scary feeling of having dropped of the edge of the cliff of certainty, your footing taken from you. If you wanna talk, I’m here. *gives THP/F a giant hug* My brother was diagnosed with cancer when I was in elementary school and I remember that first day of not knowing what was wrong with him. He’s finished treatment over five years ago now and is healthy if anyone was wondering. If either of you two need anything I’m here! *more giant hugs and some cookies*
I know I haven’t been here FOR-EVER but H-E-L-P!!!!!
The person I like asked me point blank today in pep band who I liked. If I tell him, (because the way he acts tells me he likes me, too) then I will be in darn-tootin’ trouble because my beliefs say that I won’t date before I am 16–or hang out or anything. As you can tell, I am not sixteen. Yet. (will be next August….. aaah, too long, too long!!!!) His beliefs do not include this standard.
If I tell him, I will have to make it very clear to him what my standards are. And I might lose a very good friend. If I don’t tell him, I will definitely lose a friend, but my standards will be mucho easier to keep.
WHAT SHOULD I DO!?!?!?!?!?
GAPAs, your help is muy appreciated. And those who remember me, (I still read all these things, so I still know all of you!) PLEEEEEEAAASEE!!!
-Zyka teh Lurker
Purple Panda, I’m really sorry about your mom. The doctors said that she would get better, though, right? Sorry, I’m really bad at the comfort thing. Think of this, though:
When your life is on its tip
And the world is upside-down
Keep a stiff upper lip
And remember not to frown
Believe me, that rhyme has carried me through a lot of things. Like, my grandpa dying, for instance. The rhyme taught me to look at things with a positive outlook. It reminds me that nothing can be as bad as it seems. That may not be true to you at this point (it didn’t seem so to me), but later you’ll realize it’s true (I did).
203- That belongs on the Romance and Relationships thread.
WOAH, wait a minute, folks.
*big hugs all around*
There should be a whole thread to discuss this stuff, if so many people are going to be suffering with these terrible things. GAPAs? Not that I mind them here, but it seems they should continue to be helped.
203-There is a romance thread if you want a lot of help. I would like to say something, but will refrain, considering my lack of any actual useful knowledge, just opinions. Unless you don’t mind.
Red-tailed HAWK

195- i send your mom my best wishes! *hugs*
ha! i just realized why no one’s posted since i last did: I have a PA day today! yes that’s right, i’m not in school (yay for three day weekends) but there are these huge, beutiful snowflakes sailing past the window on to the roof of the family room as i type! it’s so pretty! i do love winter!
195–I am sorry. *virtual hug to say what is difficult to put into words*
By the way, has anyone else noticed the “RRR SMAS-TT*” thread on the right-hand side of the screen that, when clicked on, doesn’t go anywhere? I believe ’tis a wormhole.
Purple Panda (195): I’m thinking of you and the rest of the family — and I’m hoping for a smooth surgery and quick recovery. And about that shaky feeling: I get that too. I wonder what it is, exactly. I hope it goes away soon. *hugs*
208- Well, I have a mental health day! Not sick, but get to stay home! And my braces are KILLING ME, since I just got them re-glued b/c they came off.
209- Yes, I noticed it. The same thing happens if you stay up at the end of the month beyond the time when the GAPAs go to bed. Maybe it’s an aborted thread they’re just going to edit into a December thread at midnight.
So, I actually read stuff today instead of immediately going back to something nano-related, and Purple Panda, I offer my sympathy. I hope everything’s okay.
*sympathy pie* Purple Panda.
I probably should turn my work in for skool. 3 C’s are not good.
195- *hugs* *gives choklit* *looks at pie in hand and hands nicely instead of splatting it in face* Awwwwww, hope your mom is okay! I know what you feel like. My grandpa has cancer (it’s almost gone now) and when I first found out, I had to sit down because my legs turned to jelly. (not literally, though if it was literally, they wouldn’t be there anymore because I would have eaten them)
Ha, I didn’t finish NaNo. And there’s no way with babysitting tonight I’m going to so… *is sad* Oh well, I’ll finish it next week. So yes. Nothing really to report… 26 days ’till Christmas!!! YAY!
*offers sympathy to PP*
Like everyone else, I hope everything is okay.
so bit of randomness, what’s the RRR SMAS-TT* and when will it be up to explain itself?
(209, 212) We promised we would make a new RRR thread after NaNoWriMo ended. We’ve set it to come online overnight in order not to distract NaNo-ers in the final stretch. Think of it as being on the horizon — still out of reach, but drawing nearer.
(216) See https://musefanpage.com/blog/?p=1049#comment-161 .
203- Hmm. I’m going to pretend I’m in PE with this girl who is absolutely obsessed with this totally rude boy, nod sagely, and not give any real advice. That will have to do.
No really. I could probably give better advice, but I don’t like to on the random thread since some people (me included) don’t care to read it, and I’m making a point of not going on the R&R thread.
209- I’ve noticed that too. But I’m looking forward to the day when RRRSMAS-TT is officially opened.
I feel a little weird about having so many RRRs, when there was originally only once and everyone was so dedicated to it, but nonetheless, AH will be fun.
I saw Meet the Robinsons the other night. It was surprisingly good. It reminded me of E2MB. I dunno why.
Not to distract anyone from their frantic novel-writing, but it does end tomorrow, and I just got an email from my dad with a link in it to the Bulwer-Lytton Writing Contest, a contest to write the worst opening sentence to a novel.
I’m definitely going to give it a try.
195- *hugs&choklit* Best wishes to her and your family!
I wrote one! Whee! I can’t publish it, though, sadly. Entries must be previously unpublished.
I must go. Good night to you all.
-offers chocklit and pies and T-shirts and pillows and a bunch of other random stuff to PP- I hope your mom gets better. ^_^
195- Hope your mom gets better, Purple Panda. *sends virtual choklit*
195-*bakes sympathy pie* That must be so awful…
219-Ooh. That sounds fun…
During my two-week-long absence from MB, I…
1. Pined away and died
2. Partially recovered
3. Did my dance performance-thingy, which was amazingly fun
4. Froze in the frigid-ness of November–it’s so cold!
5. Went to Montreal for a little while
6. Discovered (as of two seconds ago) that I have a gigantic callus/blister/thingy on my foot from pointe shoes/not wearing proper foot gear
7. Procrastinated
8. Out of a 42-question multiple choice test, chose choice “C” as an answer for 25 of the options… and about twenty of those were in one long stretch. So I either am crazy, or the teacher is, or I failed the test… somehow? But the answers to the questions were right . Sorry. That was just my Big Stressful Event of the day.
10. Killed my MP3 player, somehow
11. Oh, wow, this one’s actually important! We were doing trivia in Global (we do that all the time, and I think I shall fail the regents. But ANYWAY…) there was a category called “ridicuously easy questions”, or something like that. And I knew the answer when he asked what cat gut was made out of (Sheep), because of Muse (Paul Baker’s article…? I think so). So that was a Moment of Triumph for me, and all because of Muse. (*hoorays*)
Wow… long post, and not much of it is important…
But now I’m back.
217–Whoa whoa whoa. No magic or space travel? What else can we write about? Not *shudder* anything vaguely plausible, right?
I was in a RRR once. My part was rubbish. Honestly, it was. I’d like to have a chance to redeem myself. I can’t wait!
Thanks, everyone.
My mom’s mostly feeling fine, but now everyone else is feeling not-fine, so it’s kind of depressing. And I’ve been wallowing in the fact that she has cancer and thinking about all of the worst-possible scenarios. Which isn’t a good thing to do. But I can’t stop doing it, so oh well…
But on a brighter note, I just finished NaNoWriMo! Which makes me very happy, since it’s basically been my life for the last month. Now, I can go back to reading books and MuseBlogging without feeling guilty! And I’ll have plenty of time to bring my mom peeled grapes on silver platters.
226- Peeled grapes on silver platters, yum! *drools* That should cure anyone’s cancer.
226-My dad had cancer too, in his face. But he had a surgery and then he was okay, so I’ll bet your mom will be too.
Gratz on your NaNoWriMo, by the way.
I was looking at theards and I saw a RRRSMS-TT. but when I clicked it, it was gone! ahh!
It’s not gone. It just isn’t here yet. See comment 217, above.
218-I saw it on my birthday last year, and it reminded me of him too!
Were you trying to contact me on April 8th by any chance?
226-Ooh! I love peeled grapes. They’re like eyeballs! *eats lots of them*
So, I finished NaNo, and Dad bought ice cream.
And we’re gonna waste photo paper printing the certificate! (Parents=obsessed with NaNo)
Robert, did you just take one of coments away? or am I becoming crazy? it was on the sudgestion box.
Yes. I changed my mind about what I wanted to say, so I substituted another comment. That’s one of the advantages of being a GAPA.
233-I’ve done that on my blog (that isn’t running to well).
233- what did the first one say?
I’ve just said it again on the Suggestion Box thread.
