I have avatars on other sites (usually xkcd or xkcd-ish stick figures), a MuseBlog one might be similar. My favorite of those is a stick figure I drew in Paint of a girl with brown and teal hair holding a trombone. Not exactly a stick trombone, but a passable rendition of a normal one out of lines.
For MuseBlog…well, it would have to be a tiny WordPress avatar kind of thing, so probably a dodecahedron of some sort, possibly a picture of my costume from the play.

From the suggestion box comment it looks as though they were saying ‘what would your username look like’ so let’s see…
Well, when I imagined Jadestone at first she looked different than me (don’t ask why… I dunno). Green eyes, and darker hair.
Maybe her riding Ishtar during a pie war, I have a pretty sweet mental image for a painting like that. Too bad I can’t paint well enough.

I have emailed the GAPAs with an avatar for them to post. it is a cropped Arthur Rackham painting that I particularly like.
As for what my username looks like. hmm. elasse~adael has wavy, reddish long hair and tends to wear green. Oxlin on the other hand has short dark brownish hair. She looks rather like me only with slightly darker hair.

I think mine would be a feather. I have been using the word feather a lot lately in usernames and such, for many reasons. It has a connection to many things I like: Muse, writing (quill pen), nature, and other things like that.
Though it would have to be a specific kind of feather. In a quiet environment, just sitting there lightly and not unnaturally colored.

The avatar you have at the moment is a snippet from a photo I took of an early 19th-century fiddle-maker’s shop. But no one is required to stick with the ones I picked out. That was Lady Bunniful in decorating mode.
But I probably won’t make any more changes tonight. I’m close to calling it a day.

I don’t really care, you can alternate them, if you like. They are just pictures that I like and think say something about myself. However, no one else has pictures of themselves…I don’t want to appear self centered.
If any of them would work for someone else you can use them that way too. *shrugs* I trust your judgement in matters of decoration!

Well, if someone else was designing it and they knew what phrenology was, they’d probably have one of those old-timey phrenology charts. But I’d either have my hand in that pose I have it in when I look at it contemplatively, or (I’m having trouble thinking of this; everything I come up with is reflective of my current low self-esteem or really odd) a flute and a sabre crossed like in military heraldry.

126- You know, I once showed Muse to a bloke I knew whose name is Sean Patrick John Paul George Ringo D., and he said Crraw was a Daffy Duck impersonator, just because he was a black bird with an orange beak. A flute because I play it, and also because I like to think I have a nice personality, sweet like the tone of a flute, and also I have nice pipes (I can sing decently). A sabre because I have a razor-sharp wit, I’m a history buff and sabres are historically used weapons, I think I have anger management issues and therefore oughtn’t to be messed with, and also sabres are awesome.

The Union Jack, that’s my final decision. It’s just so… triumphant and cheerful, neither of which I am right now, but which I am at my high points, which are what I like to focus on, because thinking about my low points makes me feel even worse. *gasp.*

Hm, funny. I was just thinking how nice it would have been if a Union Jack had appeared, bright and colourful and happy-looking, rippling in a strong wind, right by one if not all of my posts. You know, I’m feeling sad right now, and I’m hating myself for unloading it on all of you guys. Especially you, GAPAs, I’m being inconsiderate. You’re doing the best you can, and for some reason, I’m unable to cheer myself up, so I throw myself down going, “Pick me up, do something awesome even though you have jobs and aren’t a student who can’t even manage to stay awake during his class on Monday, even though he really wants to and his Spanish teacher is so nice and is trying to help him learn but he just can’t find it in his heart to study.” I should have had that heart attack in the woods today. Stop everyone worrying about me.

132~ You aren’t. We’re glad you didn’t have that heart attack in the woods, that would have really been a bummer. Sometimes unloading is the best thing to do, because then you don’t have it weighing you down and making everything worse. When you say things like that you aren’t always just dumping all your problems on someone else, you are being honest. Hopefully the people you choose to talk to are thoughtful and will help you deal with the problems and in so doing take them away and dispose of them.

(165) Oh, I meant to answer that in my previous post and got distracted….
It’s the same as for any image we post in a comment. WordPress strips out image tags from the submit box, so they have to be added as an edit. All the avatars are stored in a Photobucket album. That makes changes fairly easy, since we can upload a new picture, then give it the same name.

(160) It varies. And depending on what you mean by work. It’s more like trying to pick out that perfect present for someone. Yours was easy, since I found a lovely old engraving of the Constitution that seemed just right.
Some people sent their own, some are “improved” versions of images found through Google, others I’ve made from scratch or clipped from some of my existing artwork.

Rebecca-It does look really cool. I seem to remember that we cannot post images ourselves, even if we knew how, so we couldn’t help with the “work.” I imagine the fun part is choosing the image, more than sticking it on each post. But thank you again for doing this!

(169) I liked all the photos, but that one was irresistible.
Yes, I lightened and toned the picture — reducing images makes them much darker, anyway. I also used a glamour photo trick and lightened the whites of your eyes so they’d show up better.

Hehe, pretty pictures. I made this one (actually one like it but darker to go with the topic it’s about) for a contest, the next part of the contest is to write a story so I’ll probably be doing that soon. I have issues with the word limit though… only up to 500 words >.≤ I need at east a thousand and a half to have a semblance of plot. Curses.

I think the avatars are incredibly anoying (personaly). mine would be a small thing that said KAG in turquise block letters and comix beside it in small black letters but the bottom of the c is inline with the ledge of the G. i’ll send it in sometime…………

Well, it was. These are just regular graphics that we had to place individually. The old software wouldn’t accommodate real avatars.

Yeah, I liked my old picture, but it didn’t work as well as a square. And I forgot that lifewithoutacellphone also had the Amnesty candle. I’ve been using it as an avatar on another website for ages, so I decided to use it here. I like it because it’s not a square, and the candle on the inside is clear, so it changes colors depending on what color the background is. In this case, it’s either blue or orange.
