On other forums (fora?) I use the photograph known as the Pale Blue Dot. To see it, Google-search those words, including capitals.
I usually use the Amnesty International candle for my avatar…

For MuseBlog…well, it would have to be a tiny WordPress avatar kind of thing, so probably a dodecahedron of some sort, possibly a picture of my costume from the play.

Well, when I imagined Jadestone at first she looked different than me (don’t ask why… I dunno). Green eyes, and darker hair.
Maybe her riding Ishtar during a pie war, I have a pretty sweet mental image for a painting like that. Too bad I can’t paint well enough.
As for what my username looks like. hmm. elasse~adael has wavy, reddish long hair and tends to wear green. Oxlin on the other hand has short dark brownish hair. She looks rather like me only with slightly darker hair.

On the NaNoWriMo site (that’s not snippage material, right? if it is, help yerself GAPAs…) I have a picture of that owl in Harry Potter carrying his admission to Hogwarts letter. I can send it in, if you’d like, it’s pretty small.

I got to see the tallships this summer. The Lady Washington and the Hawaiian Chieftan. And then I watched the Lady Washington go up the river. Shame she wasn’t using her sails at that point.
Pretty recently the Lynx was docked by the museum and I went and stared at her.

(91) The picture is from my early days in computer graphics, a detail from a larger picture that served as the cover to an avant garde poetry journal published by a couple of my friends. Here’s what it looks like (though the original was on more of a cream background).

The avatar you have at the moment is a snippet from a photo I took of an early 19th-century fiddle-maker’s shop. But no one is required to stick with the ones I picked out. That was Lady Bunniful in decorating mode.
But I probably won’t make any more changes tonight. I’m close to calling it a day.

According to the wordpress website, you can have avatars appear automatically if you use a little bit of coding.

It’s the same as for any image we post in a comment. WordPress strips out image tags from the submit box, so they have to be added as an edit. All the avatars are stored in a Photobucket album. That makes changes fairly easy, since we can upload a new picture, then give it the same name.

Some people sent their own, some are “improved” versions of images found through Google, others I’ve made from scratch or clipped from some of my existing artwork.

Yes, I lightened and toned the picture — reducing images makes them much darker, anyway. I also used a glamour photo trick and lightened the whites of your eyes so they’d show up better.

I like my avatar more and more every time I see it, though I would like it better if it were floating in front of a body of water or sky, though. But I don’t really know. I like how the feather looks calm yet dignified, in a way. ::confuses self::

My avatar? I think it would probably the vacuum cleaner from Teletubbies. Or perhaps the popular image of the American flag turned sideways, with the stripes becoming bars on a prison door and barbed wire where the stars ought to be. Oh, wait. It would be a gun tied in a knot. That’s it.

I think the avatars are incredibly anoying (personaly). mine would be a small thing that said KAG in turquise block letters and comix beside it in small black letters but the bottom of the c is inline with the ledge of the G. i’ll send it in sometime…………

Well, it was. These are just regular graphics that we had to place individually. The old software wouldn’t accommodate real avatars.

Yeah, I liked my old picture, but it didn’t work as well as a square. And I forgot that lifewithoutacellphone also had the Amnesty candle. I’ve been using it as an avatar on another website for ages, so I decided to use it here. I like it because it’s not a square, and the candle on the inside is clear, so it changes colors depending on what color the background is. In this case, it’s either blue or orange.
Mine was the same, because I couldn’t think of anything else. Of course, I recently changed it (for obvious reasons ;))
