I have an idea for the school system. Muse is required reading, and nothing is taught unless it is something that one of the Muses does or something that Muse has done an article on. Pie throwing is taught in P.E. If a student is persistently making trouble, he is sent to the Bo Correctional Facility, where he is forced to memorize every Bo’s Page ever published. Until he does, cow pies are thrown at him every day.

12 – Zyviva basically answered. If you want to join a ship, I think that there are a few who aren’t on missions. I don’t know what happened to our librarian, but you can become one if you’d like, I think. You can be a Vice Prime Muser, there are lots of open slots…there are lots of things you can do – ask around.

Our combined constitution. I put changes in green, except for clarifying the language and deleting unnecessary physical-property-related parts.
We, the MuseBloggers of Museica, in order to form a more perfect country, establish justice, ensure domestic tranquility and an absence of pie wars, provide for the common defense, promote the general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty to ourselves and our posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the Great Land of Museica.
ARTICLE I.
Sect. 1. ALL legislative powers, herein grated, shall be vested in a Congress of the Prime Musers and Vice Prime Musers and all assistants they deem necessary.
Sect. 2. The House of Prime Musers shall be composed of Musers who desire to help the Great Land of Museica. They shall be elected until someone else wants to serve in their position. If this occurs, there will be an election to decide who the Prime Muser is. They can resign if they so choose.
No person shall be a Prime Muser who shall not have been on Museblog for a minimum of four weeks and read a minimum of two threads on the founding of Museica.
The Prime Musers will be as follows: The Aeiouian Prime Muser, The Mimian Prime Muser, The Chadian Prime Muser, The Crrawian Prime Muser, The Kokopellian Prime Muser, The Uranian Prime Muser, The Boian Prime Muser, The Featherian Prime Muser and The Pwtian Prime Muser.
Should a Prime Muser be absent for an extended period of time with out explanation, the Vice Prime Muser shall take the place of the Prime Muser and a new Vice Prime Muser shall be appointed. Should the Vice Prime Muser deny the office or be ineligible to hold it, a New Prime Muser shall be elected.

The task of the Vise Prime Muser is to help and fill in for their respective Prime Muser when necessary. They shall also vote on Amendments to this Constitution.
Sect. 4. Each Prime Muser acts as a ruler to the state of their specialty. The Prime Musers may declare rules, create offices, or otherwise act as they see fit.
Sect. 5. The Prime Musers may determine the rules of their proceedings, punish their members for disorderly behavior, and, with the concurrence of two thirds, expel a member.
Sect. 6. No Prime Muser may be Vice Prime Muser of any type. Also, no Vice Prime Muser can be a Prime Muser, and no citizen can hold more than one office at a time.
Sect. 7. When the Prime Musers have reached a conclusion as to the law of the Museica, they shall issue a statement so that the citizens may know and follow the law. This shall they do unless three quarters of the Prime Musers shall agree that it is a matter of national security to keep the decision secret.
Sect. 8. The Prime Musers alone have the authority to regulate commerce with foreign nations, to coin money, regulate the value thereof, and of foreign coin, and fix the standard of weights and measures; to provide for the punishment of counterfeiting the securities and current coin of the United States; to establish post-offices and post-roads; to promote the progress of science and useful arts; to prevent Pie Wars; and, to make all laws which shall be necessary for the functioning of Museica.
ARTICLE II.
Sec. 1. The executive power shall be vested in the citizens of the land of Museica who wish to be a part of the government. They shall have to make a motion to repeal a law that the majority disagrees with.
ARTICLE III.
Sect. 1. The judicial power of the Great Land of Museica shall be vested in one Supreme Court, and in such Inferior Courts as the Prime Musers may from time to time ordain and establish. The Judges, both of the supreme and Inferior Courts, shall hold their offices during good behavior.
Sect. 2. Should a matter not have been resolved in the Inferior Courts, it shall be up to the judges to deem whether or not it is of national importance that the case be solved. Should they deem it of importance, they shall judge the case.
Should a question as to the meaning of a law or this Constitution arise, the jusdges shall discuss it with the Prime Musers and come to a firm conclusion.
ARTICLE IV.
Sect. 1. Each section of Museica may run their own affairs so long as doing so does not interfere or contradict the rulings of the national government.
ARTICLE V.
Sect. 1. The Prime Musers, whenever three quarters of them shall deem it necessary, shall propose amendments to this Constitution; which shall be valid, to all intents and purposes, as part of this Constitution.
ARTICLE VI.
Sect. 1. This Constitution, and the laws of Museica which shall be made in pursuance thereof, and all treaties made, or which shall be made, under the authority of Museica shall be the supreme law of the land; and the Judges in every Section, shall be bound thereby.
The Prime Musers and Vice Prime Musers before mentioned, and the members of the several Section Legislatures, and all executive and judicial officers, shall be bound by oath or affirmation to support this Constitution; but no religious test shall ever be required as a qualification to any office, or public trust, under the Great Land Of Museica.
ARTICLE VII.
Sect. 1. The Prime Musers shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech more than the GAPAs do, or of the press; or abridging the right to petition the government for a redress of grievances.
Sect. 2. The right of the people to keep and bear pie weapons, provided they are not of mass destruction, shall not be infringed.
Sect. 3. No person shall be held to answer for a capital, or otherwise infamous crime, unless on a presentment or indictment of a grand jury, except in cases arising in the land or naval forces, or in the militia, when in actual service in time of war or public danger; nor shall any person be subject for the same offense to be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; nor shall be compelled in any criminal case to be a witness against himself, nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation.
Sect. 4. In all criminal prosecutions, the accused shall enjoy the right to a speedy and public trial, by an impartial jury of the state and district wherein the crime shall have been committed, which district shall have been previously ascertained by law, and to be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor, and to have the assistance of counsel for his defense.
Sect. 5. In suits at common law, where the value in controversy shall exceed three pies, the right of trial by jury shall be preserved, and no fact tried by a jury, shall be otherwise reexamined in any court of Museica than according to the rules of the common law.
Sect. 6. The enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people.
Sect. 7. The powers not delegated to the National Government by the Constitution, are reserved to the sections respectively, or to the people.
Sect. 8. The rights of citizens may not be ignored or abridged.
Sec. 9. No citizen shall be denied the right to vote or hold office, unless they don’t fulfill the office-holding requirements.

A what and a what? Maybe, in Museica’s equivalent of the National Mall place with the reflecting pool and the Washington Monument, we could have shrines to each of the nine muses, as depicted by Larry Gonick. Made out of bronze, ten feet tall, on two-foot high pedestals made of that common pedestal-making rock, gray with sparkles. Granite? And people would leave offerings there, like pies to Kokopelli, and there would be an area in between them tiled with squares of that gray stone, and there would be a path from it to the hall in Congress that we’re disputing the statyes for now, and it would all be outside! I can see it now.

The Pierates had terrorized the seas for decades before my crew captured them. Summercamp in particular was known for his cruelty, burning and sacking innocent Iknurowlian villages and sinking many a noble Dornavenkian ship. He killed the entire crew of the Waveshearer with a Homwerk spore.

(purple) with the Meringue R.(white streak) flowing down from them and through Mimi. Just south of the Snocreme Mts., in the east of Mimi, are the Great Pralines (vertical brown lines). Beside the bank of the Meringue is Nice City (unreadable label and fuzzy black dot). At the extreme south of Mimi is Signorino City (unreadable label) next to the Pie Mines (brown ellipses).

On the north coast is the town of Crubyon (unreadable label). Almost directly southwest of Crubyon is Lewis Carroll (barely legible label). The Molasses Desert (pale tan squiggles) is almost in the centre, with the Applepie Mts. (deep red) curving around and blocking the moisture from the sea. In the Molasses Desert is the Great Library (barely legible label.) In the south corner, where Crraw borders on Kokopelli and Urania, is the Chocsyrup Swamp (green and white fuzz).

In the north are the Applepie Mts. (deep red). Flowing down from them is the Filling River (tan line) which then splits. One part flows into the Eastern Seas, while the other flows into the Blueberry Sea (large bright blue splotch). To the east of the Blueberry Sea are the Rhubarb Woods (deep red vertical streaks), in which the city of Ivars (barely visible black area) lies. At the mouth of the Filling River where it flows into the Eastern Seas is the city of Galilei. Where the Filling River and the Blueberry Sea meet is the city of Star.

I’m sorry, I haven’t been on in a long time. Museica seems to have stagnated. If the PMs do some active ruling, it might liven up.
First, I second the motion that PC’s map be the One True Map of Museica.
Second, I will put into action the Museican School System that I suggested. Students will study in the Great Library after finishing eighth grade. If their grades are exceptional, they will be eligible for the Muse Academy in New Reykjavik.
Third, I will set up a pipeline from the Chocsyrup Swamp to provide chocolate to all of Crraw, and any other province whose PM requests it.

Since Hydropastrica and Feather are both parts of Museica, they can’t ally. Also, Feather is controlled by the Featherian PM, penguini in the last record I can see, and TMFA can’t ally it to anyone, because it’s penguini’s. If you want I can email her, and we can have an election, but TMFA has to give up the Chief Justice position, and, the last and most important point, you can’t ally sections of Museica to foreign nations. So, I declare any alliance between Feather, Hydropastrica, and Oob to be illegal, illegitimate, and therefore null and void. I also believe that we should stay out of matters concerning two foreign nations on a different planet, and cast my vote as one ninth of the Prime Museican Council against helping Oob.

Although I am not the Featherian PM, I would like to suggest a large orchard of doughnut (or does he spell it donut?) trees around the capital of Feather and scattered along the coastlines, or something.

The pipeline will be constructed immediately. It goes southwest through the Crusty Plains in Kokopelli before turning southeast at the Lesser Meringue River and going into the extreme norhtwest of Pwt. New Goldentoad (because Global Warming Affected Frog is too long) is a small town that is nevertheless quite prosperous because of its fondue fountain.

Of course, I need the permission of the Kokopellian PM to send the pipeline through his or her (I’ve forgotten) province. Of course, I could also have it built through Urania. In that case, it would go around the Applepie Mts., south along the coast through the Rhubarb Woods, and then southwest into New Cat. Whichever PM gives permission first.

I think the reason that Museica got so boring on the last thread or two was that nobody was doing anything. My suggestions:
If you are a PM, Chief Justice, or Vice PM
Do some active ruling. Use your province’s resources. Import. Export. Pass laws. Make roads. Declare provincial parks.
If you are a civilian
Post some information about where in Museica you live and where you work (if you do). Then keep a journal. Appeal to the PMs for new laws that will make life better.

However, we have discovered life on the Moon (newly evolved since the Pie War, because high-flying pies increased its mass and allowed it to keep an atmosphere), on the nearby planet Raspecan, and asteroid 61407. But those are all examples of “panspermia,” or the spreading of earthly life, with the possible exception of Raspecan, and we’re not even sure about that. If we find life on Europa, it will be a milestone, the first evidence of life evolving independently from Earth.

Is PPP an alternate universe? It was originally, but then the man for aeiou suggested that his country on it ally with Museica. If we cancel that, then it leaves the places from Ships’ Logs. I believe that Abced, Figh, J’klomn, Hydropastrica, and Zwyx, all islands in the Gulf of Dornavenk, are colonies of Museica. My alter ego, Prarilius Canix, will be pleased with that, because that gives him a reason to seek out places to colonize. I think we should put the PPP’s eligibility to a vote. There’s nothing in the Constitution that forbids it, but conversely, nothing that provides for it.

The Greater Meringue River (white streak) flows out of the north, then curves slightly west to San Dxkosii (illegible label) in the Cinnamon Groves (brown vertical lines). 237- I don’t see how the chocsyrup pipeline could help, but as you are the Prime Muser of Astronomy, you probably have a lot of spaceships docking in Galilei. You could outfit them with launchers for the chocolate donuts that PC brought to you from his mission to Europa. Then you’d have at least some sort of force.

Skylartooth is the head Freebooter. He is currently somewhere in the Treacherous Mists of the north. He’s the only pierate we haven’t defeated, except for Allgerbruh II, whose whereabouts are unknown. I recommend we send the Helichocters, Piites and Hydropastrican navy (the last led by me) to aid the Zommer Vaycashun and the Wraith.

Well, that could work (just keeping it on the PPP4), but we’d have to get some other people on the thread, so we can look for Allgebruh II together, as a group…that’s basically the thread idea: chasing after Allgebruh II…hm……obviously, it’s ultimately up to you, but the threads’ main ideas are so jumbled, now, it’s hard to go back to what they started out as, if you know what I mean.

davidude- Museica was formed after the Great Pie War when the opposing sides signed the Lemon Meringue Treaty. It is a continent made entirely out of baked goods. Its nine provinces, named after the Muses, are each ruled by a Prime Muser who is in charge of the specialty of the Muse that their province is named after. I am the Crrawian Prime Muser, so I am responsible for literature, poetry and education. Dodecahedron, the Uranian Prime Muser, is responsible for the space program and for things that have to do with math. You get the idea. I don’t think that the offices of Vice Prime Musers have been filled yet. Also, you could go to Ships’ Logs and sign on aboard a ship.

What’s the current situation in Spareparts?

Spareparts is badly damaged. It looks like a war zone, which is what it is. However, Geeometree and his mercenaries have been captured, so there is now a lot of rebuilding work going on. Its main problem is shelter for the night. Maybe you could send some ships over there (since the Chadian PM hasn’t shown up in gosh knows when) and set up bunks in the holds.
Crubyon is minimally damaged, considering that the tide has turned in our favor. I am currently dueling Skylartooth. It’s kind of hard to send a telegram while swordfighting on the yardarm. Fortunately, I’m an expert at it.

There is a small continent known as Pie Isle in the Filling Sea, about the same size as two Museican provinces. If any newbies wish to start a new storyline there, they are free to design its geography and government.
So say I as one of the highest ranking naval officials in the Museican Commonwealth. (I was, in fact, appointed Grand Admiral of the Hydropastrican colonies. It’s on part 4 or 3.)
