Life, the universe, pies, hot-pink bunnies, world domination, and everything
I was hinting for part 2, not continuing the thread. Just so that people know. Are we going to take my challenge?
Sorry to be completely random…actually, I’m not sorry at all… which one of my many alter egos should I use as my main blog name?
2: I definitely like Zapper and Traggle best.
2- Traggle.
2-Traggle is the weirdest, and therefore probably the best.
2 – Ravenhawk. I get confused with name changes………
2- I hated ravenhawk.
7 – First of all, that wasn’t very nice…
2 – I liked Ravenhawk, but it was kind of confusing because we have a Red-tailed HAWK, and they’re really similar. But I like Traggle. It sounds oddly mechanic and cool.
Hi I’m here! /
Does PGNF stand for something? Was that your old name? I have forgotten!
*heads to other threads*
RtH
i never really knew ravwnhawk so i have no opinion whatsoever!
but i think that we should refrain from saying mean stuf like that! mayybe she/he was having a bad day or something.
i like red tailed hawk !
my new alias! who knows who i am?
BTW…what tha’ [snip] is wrong with twizzlers? (total giveaway!!!!)
9- PGNF was her alias for a day or so, before we had an alter ego thread . It stands for Punk, Goth, Nerd, Freak.
11)
a) What are twizzlers?
b) Please don’t start that again.
c) Why are you swearing on MuseBlog?
cool… I’ll be Traggle then… I’m blogging fom school again, so I won’t use my long name right now.
(13),
F&F wasn’t actually swearing. En snipped enself.
{“En” is my gender-neutral pronoun of the day.)
Twizzlers are thick strands of red licorice.
7- Why did u hate me?
13 – you…you…you…CENSORZ
how could you possibly insult the great twizzlaz? *shudder*
I am sneaking on from a school computer.
I lurve twizzlers!
Meh. I got hebrew school and guitar lessons today, then piano tomorrow, then art on Saturday, then Sunday school on sunday (duh).
I got into the talent show!! I’m doing a monologue which i adapted from an xkcd comic.
11-You’re SuperSaiyajin424…duh. But, anyway, that’s something for the AE thread.
18-Goodness me, your still in school?! Oh, wait, you probably live in a land far, far away…
(16),
I think agagabagabag meant that she hated the name “Ravenhawk.”
21- your school is already out? we go until the 12th of june
22- Oh. That makes sense… and it doesn’t make me as mad…
We love you Traaaaagle.. oh yes we doo-oo… we don’t love anyone… as much as you-oooo… when you’re not neeeear uss… we’re bluuuuuue…
Ahhhhhhg, I shall never get those anoying off key vouices out of my head…
(that’s the conrad birdy song. wWe did that musical in school this year…)
25- blech, Bye Bye Birdie. Yay for Traggle. *sings along; though the song is annoying, Traggle’s cool!*
Ithink shadowkat meant the time not the date. I think. I am in school til June 18 though. FOREVER!!!!
(21) o_o You’re out of school already?
21 – In my time zone it was only 1:21 pm
28 – Everybody is except the kids in China and Japan! Of course, we’re all going back to school tomorrow.
Wow, Shadowkat! You’re done with school!?!?!?! That’s UBER EARLY! *is jealous*
I think she meant out of school for the DAY.
Anyway, Traggle’s nice!
Anybody live around those floods/wildfires?

My school goes from 7:30 – 2:00
I graduate June 6. I have to wear a dress. Oh no. I may just wash my best suit, pick out a nice tie, and be done with it.
2-Traggle. Definitely.
I just realized April Showers Part 4 is still on the main page.
My school goes from 7:20 to 2:05.
My school schedule? 7:44 – 3:15.
32,35 – And I though my school started early…… xD
I have lunch at 10:00 10:00!!!!!!! Too early!!!! It’s like breakfast. it bothers me that it is still morning after lunch.
16- I meant the name, not you personally.
(2) I like Traggle.
(33) Good idea. Buying really fancy dress for middle school graduation = ridiculous.
I get have finals week after next. My last day of school is thursday may 25. But I’m actually missing the last 2 days to go visit my sister in Paris. I plan to visit the catacombs while I’m there because of that articl in Muse.
I hate my writing and lit class. I like the teacher but I hate all the students. In fact, I wish I didn’t ever have to seem them.
Does anyone else ever feel isolated because they’re the only who has a sense of intelluctual integrity/ a work ethic?
39- Yes.
33- Not as bad as having to wear a tee shirt 3 sizes too big that has your name spelled wrongly on the back. Even though they spelled another girl’s name, who has the exact same name right. Sorry, still a little resentful. I say go with the suit.
(31) Ugh, fire season is upon Southern California once again. T_T
(39) All the time. The students in m Language Arts class have neither an appreciation for the written word, nor any real understanding of it. It’s frustrating to me, quite endlessly, because I love writing, and no one really shares that. It’s just a class to them. Of course I feel that way in general…I wish I went to a special school or something where people cared about their education and what they can do with their lives.
7:20-2:12. I wake up around 6:00 and (try to) leave the house at 7:00. I have the last lunch period, and it’s around 12. The earliest lunch period starts at 9:50. Most start and end times of periods are strange. As in 8:21-9:02.
29-I’m not done with school, but yes, it was a different time zone thing…in mine, it was, like, 4:21…lol.
*GASP* This is going to be a NIGHTMARE! *dies* I hate getting up early, and I have to go to highschool pretty soon… I already think these coming years are going to be the worst of my life.
44 – It’s not so bad. And I thought you were homeschooled…..
39- Yes. I have a different sense of humor than most of my garde/school, and not like the british humor my friend has.
(44) Honestly I thought that middle school was the worst two years of my young life but THAT’S JUST ME. High school’s okay.
(39) It’s kinda nice to know there are others who feel like that.
I have a resolution for the nest school year. Get lower grades. Yes. I realized today that my own personal hobbies are just as educational as a lot of the homework I get, but I always push them out of my life and put school first. So next year, I’m going to lower my standards for school and spend more time painting, drawing, writing, getting to know my city and my friends, and maybe learning to play guitar. And reading. And learning how to tie knots. And being more physically active, like maybe playing tennis or soccer or rock climbing. I mean, I still think the stuff we’re supposed to learn in class is important, but the work we have to do sometimes is just tedious and pointless.
Next year will be the year of the B+ average. I’m pretty excited.
*the first part of my last comment was to message (41) not (39).
39 – Are you in college or something?
*sighs* there has been no moderation for a dreadfully long time…
45- I am. But I have to go to highschool so that I know how the real world works by the time I’m college age.
AAAAAGGGG *pulls hair* NOOO MODERATION IN THE PAST 90 MINUTES
32/35/36 – you’re so lucky! My school goes from 7:30 to almost 4:00….it’s an arts school, so we spend the morning doing academics, then the afternoon doing arts. I love it, but it makes for a really long school day.
And I go to school downtown, so it takes a while to get there. Hence, I should not be on the computer now, I should be getting ready for school!
48- Soccer. Definitely. I’d do that, but I’d get in trouble, and my morals are too strong (in all modesty) to let me do that, anyway. Play soccer, and you’ll have fun. Take my advice.
Wow! I don’t know about you, but I LOVE mornings! Haven’t you guys ever just woken up at around 4:30 – 5:00 and felt refreshed? Wow! I mean WOW!!!! I feel GREAT!
Three months! Wow! Somebody pie me!
Yow! I’m back.
39-Yes until I got into AP classes. Then it’s just work ethic, not intelligence level.
Oog. Fire season. Smells like smoke and gives me a headache.
You guys have such long school days! Ours starts at 8:45 and ends at 3:15 – 2:30 on fridays. (But we have a shorter lunch break on fridays) How much time do you get for lunch and break? We get fifty minutes for lunch most days ( I think it is about 30 on fridays) and 15 for break. BUT WE GO UNTIL JULY! We get out on the 25th July. Bleh. We do get more breaks in the year though. We get two weeks at Christmas and Easter, 5 1/2 in the summer, and a week in May, October, and February. When my family worked it out, over here our school year is two weeks longer! Bleh. I want to move back to America.
59 – Well, you get a lot more breaks. Over here we’re dying because our breaks are all clumped together. We have fun on the breaks, but then we spend so long in school we count the hours to the next 3-day weekend. I would gladly sacrifice a few weeks of summer vacation for a week-long break every month.
I end June 1. I’m going to CALIFORNYA!!! :D:D starspotting time! And Whimsic Alley. HOORAY!
56- How do you like mornings?
I have school from 8:15am to 3:30pm every day from Mon.-Thur., and then a half day every Friday. Private middle schools, you’ve got to love ’em.
62 – You get a half day? *is insanely jealous*
61 – You’re gonna love it. California is awesome, dude. 8)
Have you ever thought about the name “the United States”? Isn’t that the lamest name ever!?
63- Yep. My parents pay for me to go to school less, basically. I also get a longer Spring, Summer, and Winter break.
66 – Humf.
my school schedule this year is:
Monday: 8:15 to 12:30, then 1:45 to 3:20
Tuesday: 8:15 to 11:40, then 1:45 to 4:10
Wednesday: 8:15 to 10:50, then 1:45 to 5:00
Thursday: 9:05 to 12:30, then 1:45 to 3:20
Friday: 8:15 to 12:30, then 1:45 to 3:20
65- Totally.
68- Lunch break? it was like that in France. Do you go home during it?
54- That’s awesome! what sort of arts?
Yah, lunch break, but I hang around downtown like the badass player I am.
54- I am jealous. There are no art schools near where I live. Only in NYC, which isn’t that near, and in any case I would have to live there to get into the public arts school.
54 – Arts school? Lucky!!!! *is jealous*
65 – Come to think of it, yeah, but the United Nations and United Kingdoms are basically the same name with a different meaning at the end.
Well, I get to have the exact same schedule every day, except for half days on parent/teacher conferences, which happen twice a year. Oh, and I get Summer and Winter breaks, with a one week Spring Break, which is sometimes shorter. And a lot of the time breaks are shortened because of us having too many snow/ice/i-dont-know-how-many-degrees-below-zero days.
Next year I get to go to a boarding highschool, which is pretty froody. Got this big scholarship, and am getting way to egotistical about it. Somebody insult me, please.
48- Yeah, I know what you mean. Except, I’m already at a mostly B+ avrage in my honors classes so I really shouldn’t slack more, because I allready do. In your case though, go for it! It’s a good plan, you’re not compleatly forgetting about school or anything, just testing some other interests.
Tennis and rock climbing are awsome, and knots are amazing too. I love untieing them. Anyone here ever just take one of those wads of knotted yarn and spend a few hours unwinding it? I think I must be part cat sometimes.
56- AHHH ELVIL MORNINGS BAD NO LET ME SLEEEEP *dies*
We’re not alowed to leave for lunch unless we’re upperclassmen (juniors+seniors for those of you who don’t know). My scedual is:
7:30-2:50 monday through thursday
8:20-2:50 on friday
Class periods are about 50 minutes on mondays and tuesdays, 45 on fridays with a shorter lunch, with 5 min for passing periods all those days.
On wednesdays we have periods 1,3,(lunch),5 and 7 for 90 minutes each (not lunch, though. that’s really long, around 50 minutes). On thursdays we do the same only with periods 2,4,6, and 8. Plus, we get 10 minute passing periods.
They’re getting rid of block days (wed+thurs schedule) next year though. And we start at 7:20 but still go to 2:50. AND, they combined lunch and study hall into one 50 minute period, so there’s no way I can get out of SH and take an extra class!! GRR!! Now I’m never going to be able to take art…
SCHOOL FINISHED 2DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMGOMGOMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! just 4 more weeks of HW-free Project Term and then it’s summer!! i finished my last day uv X-ams 2day. now i’m going on vacation. twill be very fun.
Wow. Some of your schedules sound pretty good. Here’s mine, it’s the same thing every day:
7:25- 2:09
We have 22 minutes for lunch, 4 minutes to get between classes, and classes are 50 minutes long. And, of course, I live on the otherr side of town from my school adn have to take the bus, so I wake up at 5:30 every morning, leave my house at 6:20, walk for ten minutes to the bus stop, and then catch my bus at 6:35. Back to the lunch thing. At my school, if one is on honor roll, they get to have study in the cafeteria. I’m on honor roll, and my study would be D and F periods, with lunch E, but instead I basically have lunch D, E, and F periods. Which makes up for only having 22 frigging minutes per lunch period. Okay, rant over. For now…
My school is 7:34-2:37 Monday thru Friday. No leaving unless you sneak out. 7 minutes to switch classes (5 during lunch period), 30 minutes for lunch, five periods ranging from 71 to 76 minutes. We’re also on trimesters instead of semesters or quarters. Our last day is June 7, but for seniors it’s May 31 (lucky!!).
59: Oh, wow, I didn’t know you’ve lived both places! Where were you born? Do you consider yourself British or American?
Is anyone’s high school having a mock disaster before prom? Ours is on Monday. They have 1 every four years (there’s 4 grades at the high school) because it’s REALLY expensive to have. The entire school goes out to the football field, and there’s a “car wreck” and a helicopter and police and everything. They picked kids to be in it too: the person who was driving the car, the people who were injured, etc. (Being an injured/dead person sounds fun; they wear gory makeup and bloody clothes and leave it on the rest of the day as a reminder.) Then after all that, they put the person driving the car on “trial” in the gym, but only the juniors and seniors get to see that part. (Which means I’ll never see it, :(. I think they should have it every 2 years or let everyone go to the trial.) My school is even trying to keep it a secret what’s going to happen, but everyone knows.
My school’s allright. Last year, we had a different schedual where each semester had four classes and each class was a semester long if it was a year long type class (English, science, math, history) or a quarter if it was an elective. Now we have a six period day with six classes all year and the electives last a trimester each. We have 25 or thirty minutes for lunch (twenty five I think) and most classes are 55 minutes each minus luch hour which is 4th hour and 1hr20 or so long because of the three lunches that are during it. you still only have 55 mins of class though, you just have lunch during it. Our passing times are 5 mins. My freshman year, when we had the block schedual, they were 7 minutes for some reason but then last year, sophomore year, they shortened them. Next year though I’ll get late starts twice a week ^_^ because I’ll be an IB (sort of like AP but international) senior taking TOK (theory of knowledge, philosophy like class) and our TOK is going to be in sections with some people coming in for discussion on mon and wed and some on tues and thurs and everybody together for lecture on fri. That way I’ll either get mon and wed or tues and thurs mornings off! ^_^
49- I like your plan but I’d make it an A- year as colleges tend to like pointy a shaped things a lot better than round b shaped things even if they are very close in gradeness.
I’m used to getting up at 7:00 at the earliest unless I’m fishing or something. Or it’s christmas. Or I have to go somewhere really early. But EVERY MORNING? I imagine I’ll fall asleep in class a lot. This is how I imagine my formally educated life:
Get up very early in the morning.
Get ready for school.
Sit on the bus for an hour or more.
Be educated. (Bleh. Actually it’ll probably be more fun than the rest.)
Sit on the bus for over an hour again.
Do my homework.
Go to bed so I can get up early again.
How much of that is actually true?
71- If you are so bad***, then why are you on museblog? At my school, imaginative things like MB are considered immature, and therefore are unpopular.
Here are some interesting formulas about popularity at my school.
Imagination= Immature= unpopular
popularity= maturity > or = to x+3 years x=age
78- my friend’s taking TOK and he really likes it. Apparently they have really off-topic discussions sometimes. Although his school sounds really nice – open-campus lunch, they don’t get in trouble if they skip, zero hour, etc..
My school goes from 8:20-3:45, 55 min classes, 5 minute passing periods, 25 minute lunch, 30 minute advocate (basically study hall). 7 periods. I wish we had a zero hour so I could take 8 classes, though.. we have a ton of AP classes available but scheduling makes it difficult to take everything..
49- the lowest report-card grade I’ve gotten this and last year was a 98..
77- our school does that every four years. I think it’s like next year, though.
I challenge any Museblogger to beat me in an exchange of riddles simalir to that between Gollum and Bilbo in The Hobbit, chapter 5, Riddles in the dark.
Just a thought… Dang. I forgot… um… Le’ts have a computer games thread!
(59) My school starts at 7:55 and goes until 2:45. I don;t know how long we get for break because I come from the campus across th street from the main one and so it ends up being shorter for be because of that. We get thirty minutes for lunch though. And ten minute passing periods, because our school is so BIG. There’s about 3000 students here. ugh.
(61) lol tourists. XD California is in reality phenomenally uninteresting. At least where I am. BUT OHH I get to go to LA tommorow and go to Little Tokyo ohyaassssssss. I hope you have fun with your vacation though. ^^
(77) My school does that every two years, before Spring Break. It’s really similar, the victims are supposed to walk around all day in black and not talk…
79 – You forgot:
Somehow manage to find time to log onto MuseBlog before going to bed.
If that’s a very high priority, you’ll find time for it.
82- I’ll do it! Under one condition: We take it to the riddle thread. See you there?
I always check up on it, so I’ll be there.
83 – Go here.
(77) No, but we do have a senior prank every year. Last year’s official one was supposedly really lame, so a bunch of football players organized another one. They sowed the foorball feild with salt. It was kind of a fiasco.
(78) yeah, I’ll probably end up doing that. But it doesn’t really matter anyway, because I’m pretty sure of where I’m going and it isn’t hard to get into (but it’s not that bad of a school).
Are you guys’s campuses (campi?) outside or inside? Ours it outside, mostly. There are four separate houses, 2 stories each, for classes. Plus, a building with the library and the cafeteria on one floor and the science and art classes above, and the gym and dance studio, and the performing arts building, which is next to the auditorium and office.
Our school has 2 schedules. You can either do 7:30 to 2:30
or 8:30 to 3:30, but the buses only run for the later schedule. They’re getting rid or that next year though, and just putting us on a 8:00 to 3:00 schedule.
We had late start wednsedays this year, too, wear school starts at 11:00 every wednesday (there are only three periods, but they are block periods, and then you have the rest of your classes as blocks on thursday). But next year, they’re switching to early release. Blah.
85- I notice you don’t contradict the rest. Oh dear.
Maybe I’ll read during dinner and my lunch hour. Or maybe I’ll get a book on tape/CD so that I can listen on the bus.
What about writing? On the bus? That would give me a headache.
Maybe I’ll learn to live with less sleep.
88- we usually have early release days on wednesdays when we have wednesdays like that. We have late starts on days when other grades have standardized tests, though. And now I have them because of TOK ^_^
/ Please, someone other than E2MB read my post.
90 – I’m sorry, but that’s the way it goes. I wake up at 7:00, eat breakfast quickly, bike to school, hang out for about 15 minutes until the bell rings at 7:44, sneak onto school computers when given the oppertunity so I can go on MuseBlog for precious minutes, get piled up with homework*, leave at 3:15, go home, spend about 1-2 hours doing homework, taking 10-minute breaks to go on MuseBlog, eat dinner from 6:00 to 7:00ish, play with my friends if there’s any time left, after sunset I read, then go to bed at 9:15.
I follow this schedule pretty consistently. Except on Saturdays and Sundays.
*approximately 2/3 of this is Algebra 1 homework.
93- I think I’ll be miserable. Barely any reading, writing, or MuseBlog? And I’ll live on the other side of town, so I’ll have to leave even earlier. And I’ll be in Highschool, so it may be even worse. My imagined schedule was supposed to be something of a joke…
88-haha, some stupid kids burned our football field.
senior tag is in full swing. Funniest thing ever-danny clark explaining the rules to schneids. Most embarassing thing ever-mom driving by while they were playing, and then coming home and asking me about it in a scandalized voice (heh..well it is pretty scandalous. but that’s seniors for you)
And yeah, i said i was leaving but i was checking to see that my post got through because i didn’t see it there before and i saw that. So yeah. If my other post didn’t get through you all have to be sad and cry because it was a very nice long one.
89-PLEASE TELL ME HOW TO DO THAT!!!!!!!!! *dies*
92- I read it!
93- Wake up sleepily at 6:40, go to the bus stop at 7, hang out for 10 or so minutes, go to class, leave school at two if I have no after school activities (rare unless it’s the spring) go to theatre/cross country/ cross country skiing/ gsa/ math team depending on the season and the day, return to my house somewhere between 3-4:30, dawdle on the internet and reading, do homework (whilst dawdling), eat dinner, go to play rehersal if it is a tues or thurs at certain times of the year, homework/dawdling, bed. And that is my days unless it is sat or sun or summer!
64- Do you live there? We could Kokonvene!
On the subject of school schedules, my school starts at 8:23 and ends at 3:00, except on Tuesdays when it ends at 2:00. My mom comes in and turns on my alarm at 7:30, I drag myself out of bed at around 7:41, get dressed, and stumble down the stairs by 7:45. Then I go on the MB until breakfast is ready at around 7:47. I eat until 7:54, then pack up quickly and go on the MB till 8:05. Then I leave for the bus, which comes at 8:10. I reach schoolio at 8:20 which gives me ten mins to hang.
77- Cool. The highschool I go to did that last year, when I was in middle school, and I don’t know if they’re going to do it again. Apparently all the people who “died” in the crash just went through the rest of the day wearing black clothing and being totally silent, so people would realize what it would be like if they weren’t there.
My school schedule is boring and nobody wants to hear it. The sum probably be that I wake up way too early and get much too much homework.
Next week my school schedule will be all messed up because of CATs. It doesnt make sense to have 2 standardized tests, one at the beginning of the year and another at the end.
94- wake up at 7, eat breakfast (read during it), leave for school at 7:40, get there at 7:50, hang out with my friends until class starts, classes, advocate, lunch, go home at 3;45, have a snack (read), do homework (anywhere from half an hour to all night), practice, go to bed.
Keep in mind that practice usually take up my entire evening, from 7oddish to 10oddish. You’ll be fine.
96 – All is revealed on the HTML thread.
I just posted how to do it there.
19- Which one?
33- Duct tape.
39- Sometimes a little. Then I realize that the people around me have a point, or that it’s not worth it if no one else tries, and I give up and do a minimum to excel.
48- Wow. This year I’m trying to get the highest average in my grade. Last year I got in the top ten. Right now it’s about a 98%. Tech is dragging me down. Marble drop is supposed to be easy.
My avg. last month schedule:
Alarm rings 5:45
Wake 6:10
Catch bus 6:55
Bus at school 7:20
Class (8 periods approx.42 min.each (except 8th 30 min.) 3 min between)7:30-1:15
Bus to math 1:18-1:22
Math 1:24-2:10
Bus back to middle school: 2:15-2:25
Play rehearsal (*sob* I miss you) 2:25-5:00
Picked up
Homework/computer/book
dinner
shower ~11:30
bed
repeat
Congrats to TNO on getting your letter published!
GAPAs, may I beseech thee, please put “J-Rock Revolution” for May 25th. I’m kind of sort of going marginally insane from waiting for it and it would be awesome business if you put it up there. 8D?? It can be my birthday present! XD
77- I was born in America (Washington State), lived there for two years, (With a short time in Indonesia – it ended up at about a month, but it could easily have been longer) lived in Canada (Vancover) for three years, did a big trans-alantic move to Scotland (St Andrews), and then moved here after four years. I have to leave when our five years are up (My dad only got a five year contract) which works out as not this summer but the summer after. To an unknown location, which we will probably know about three months before we move. So I’ve got to leave the only place I’ve had really good friends (apart from MuseBlog) and move somewhere random. In answer to your question, I consider my self American, because I am still an American citizen and my accent is more American then British. It gets dreadfully annoying having an American Passport sometimes – It is also rather fun. When we travel in the EU we have to fill in all these forms before landing, and go and stand in a different queue and things. (One of the reasons I’m probably not going to Germany with my class next year. It would be too much of a bother with everyone else having English passports) I like it because the non-eu lane is the fast track lane.
94- You’ll probably be O.K. In English if you get set Creative writing then you can write to your hearts content and say that it’s your homework. You can write at lunch time, get audio C.Ds to listen to on the bus – I find that it’s actually worse when you’re walking. I’ve got a 30 minute walk (Mile and a half) to get to school, and another one back. Personally I don’t think my education is worth three miles a day. You do find time to read and write though – once you’ve been going for a while, you’ll develop little things you can do to make everything you do a little quicker, and you can gain time. Plus, there’s still weekends! (Other wise I might just drop dead of exhaustion) Oh yes – you most likely will be tired most of the time. You get used to it.
Help! I need some help with my name. I don’t really like iwanttobeamuffin, and Lady Moonstar kind of makes it sound like I’m a Muslim. I’m not too happy with either of them. I’m trying to decide between Lady Muffin and Lady Cinnamon. I like both of those names, and I want to keep the lady part. I’m thinking Lady Cinnamon, but i’m not sure. What do other bloggers think? Quick!
I’m almost definately going for Lady Cinnamon. Next post I’m changing my name! I like how it is warm but also a bit oriantal and strange…
56 (kiwimuncher) – I love mornings too! But I’m not so sure about 4:30… I guess it really depends on what time I went to bed.
59 (Lady Moonstar) – I have 25 minutes for lunch, and absolutely no breaks. We go from 7:30 – 3:50, and the only break we have is lunch. We have 5 minutes in between classes, but all of that is spent going up and down stairs, because we have 8 floors with narrow staircases. We have 3 80-minute blocks and “majors” (for the rest of the day – about 4 hours) in our school day.
65 (E2MB) – I don’t think it’s that lame…the name anyway.
93 (E2MB) – You bike to school? Awesome! I have never lived close enough to school to bike or walk. My current school is in the middle of downtown, so I have to take a city bus to get there.
And since everyone else seems to be posting their “schedules,” I’ll do the same.
6:00 – Wake up, get dressed, check MB for maybe 2 minutes.
6:15 – Eat breakfast, pack lunch
6:30 – Walk to bus stop
6:40 – Wait for bus to come
6:50 – Bus comes
7:15 – Arrive in Downtown (yes! I take an uber-fast bus ((it takes the busway)))
7:20 – Walk into school, run to the 8th floor where my locker is, run down to the 4th floor for my first class
7:30 – Civics class for 80 minutes
8:50 – Bell rings
8:55 – Spanish class (7th floor) for 80 minutes
10:15 – Bell Rings
10:20 – Lunch for 30 minutes
10:50 – Biology Class for 80 minutes
12:10 – Majors! Literary Arts for 4 hours (currently I’m in Playwriting)
3:50 – Bell rings, get stuff from locker, run down 8 flights of stairs, walk to bus stop
4:10 – Bus comes, ride home
4:30 – Arrive home, go on the computadora for awhile…
5:00 – Practice Piano
5:45 – Dinner
6:10 – Homework
That’s my basic schedule thing. I hope I calculated all of the hours (of my classes, etc.) right, because I’m too lazy to go downstairs and get my schedule out of my backpack. And what I do in the afternoon is almost always different, but that’s the basic idea.
108 (Lady Moonstar) – How about Lady Cinnamuffin? I really like Lady Moonstar, though.
Hmmm… No, I think Lady Cinnamon is best. I don’t know if it’s quite the right name yet though – I’m sorry for all the name changes, but I’m still trying to find one that really suits me. I think Lady Cinnamon is the closest so far. I want a bit more warmth in my name, and Lady Moonstar seems a bit cold to me.
My Schedule-
6:50- Wake up. Or else.
6:55- Realise I’m going to have to get up or I’ll never get dressed in time for 7:00, which means my Piano Practising will go on for longer, which means I’ll be late.
6:56- Actually get up. Run around in the dark, being quiet so I don’t wake up my sister.
7:01- Realise I am a bit late, so throw myself into piano practicing for 30 minutes.
7:31- Eat.
8:03- Realise I’m behind schedaule, and run out of door.
Walk for approximately 30 mins. One and one half miles.
8:33- Arrive at school. Get stuff out of locker, or forget to get stuff out of locker, and prepare to bang head on desk in German when I realise I have forgotten my german books once again.
8:45- Registration. (From here on everything is different on Friday. I’m sticking with m-t)
Sometime- First lesson.
55 mins after sometime- Second lesson.
10:45- Break
11:00- third lesson.
11:55- Fourth lesson.
12:35-Lunch
1:30- fifth lesson.
2:25- Sixth lesson.
3:15- Leave school! Walk another 1 1/2 miles. It takes longer though.
4:00- Get home. Collapse. Read.
4:30- Homework.
5:00-6:00(it depends on the homework)- MuseBlog. Or other on the computer.
6ish- Dinner.
6:30ish- More computer, other activity, reading, ect.
8:30- Bed! Bliss.
Why does it take so long to get dressed? Our uniform is the worst. Everybody except the older years has to wear
a collared white short sleeved shirt, top button done up, a with the school symbol on it, an acrylic sweater, black trousers, black school shoes and black socks. We look like penguins. Except for the blue, which is my house colour. The shirt, the tie and the sweater have the school logo on them, and the “G” is in your house color.
R-t HAWK should look here. He was wondering.
80: I’m so badass I can do whatever I want and still be cool. Cuz I’m badass.
107 – Wow, you’ve moved to a lot of places. I thought I had it bad moving about every two years to a different state because of bigger, better, job offers, but I’ve never even left the U.S., even though everyone thinks I’m British or something.
110 – 80 minute classes? Woah. Mine last from 45-60, but then again, we have 7 classes a day. And I think that Lady Cinnamuffin sounds cool too.
111 – My school has uniforms too – plaid/navy blue/tan skirts or pants, blue/dark blue/ white/maroon shirts. But at least we have some choices. Until last year, absolutely everybody had to wear their shirts tucked in all the time, and skirts are still only supposed to be two inches above the knee (even though most girls don’t pay attention to that).
113 – I think we’ve figured that out by now, FS.
*poofs in* Hullo! I should be studying…but I really can’t get away from here, can I? ^_^
Calc wasn’t quite as bad as I thought…but that’s about all I can say.
Chem this Tuesday… *cramattack* I think I’ve nailed thermodynamics, nuclear chem, stoichiometry, solutions, and phases. Oh, and about half of the stuff about gases Which leaves structure, electrochem, the other half of the gas stuff, acids&bases, and equilibrium. Whee.
Since this whole weekday schedule-posting thing goes on, I’ll post mine. Optional things in italics.

1520- Arrive at home. Time for teh internets.
1500- Mumsy gets home. Be annoyed by her babble.
1600- Dinnertime, and father gets home sometime around now. Be annoyed by father for being a vegetarian.

Rest of night: internet, HW, piano practice.
2115- Get off compy.
2300- Probably finally get to sleep. I wish it were earlier.
*repeat*
Whee.
114: I’m being sarcastic.
I’m considering a namechange. Does Blackjack Guillotine sound good?
115 – Star Trek, hmmmmm. I got to talk with Patrick Stewart. I get to sleep around eleven too, though technically I’m supposed to be in my room before ten. Oh well.

I’ve not moved out of the country before, but I’ve moved… eight times to six places (Virginia and Missouri twice) My dad is AF.
Ahhhhg. I never knew that pine tress could drop so many pine cones (enouugh to fill 5 buckets) when they’re only 18 feet tall… ahg. Well, at least I’ve gotten my hour of yardwork done so I can come on the computer now.
I am now officially obsessed with TMBG. I just bought Ana Ng from iTunes and I have discovered This Might Be a Wiki. And now I’m sooo exited about The Else on the 15th!!!
116- NOOO!! We love FrigidSymphony! Because even if you changed it, everyone would still call you FS. And S-kitty would probably get mad.
115- you eat dinner at four? strange…
94- As an IB junior who manages to read plenty, write, and go on Museblog as well as gazillion after school activities and a junior year workload, I assure you you’ll have more time than you think you will. Don’t worry about it.
I like the name Lady Cinnamon, Lady Cinnamon!
121- wheee! TMBG!
121- Join us… join us…
I’m on tmbw with this name. I’m excited too about The Else, but a little worried that it’ll be underwhelming after searching out every advance parts of it I could find and hearing it live. Come help me take over the music thread!
moosy moosy moosy oh yeah i like them. Look i can stick out my tonge
117- Star Trek FTW! You are sooo lucky! Eek!
122- Gah, no, I meant 1700. I was just going in order and kinda wrote the wrong times… ^^;
What is “The Else?”
minimoose4- Welcome! *pies* I’m guessing you’re new. You should check out the Rules and the Hitchhiker’s Guide to Museblog. After that, you might want to visit the Welcome, Newcomers! thread for some tips.
125- The next “adult” TMBG album. Available off iTunes May 15, special CD version w/extras July 10.
Egad, thanks! Double egad, that’s the same day as the next Linkin Park album…!!!
We’re doing schedules? that works. Well, for weekdays it’s usually
Sometime In The Morning, Depending On How Late I Was Up The Night Before: Wake up, shower, get dressed, shove stuff into backpack, rush downstairs, ignore parental concerns about breakfast (or lack thereof), and go to skewl
7:30-ish to 7:50-ish, depending: Sign up for library study hall, say hi to nolan, go up to the second floor and hang out, usually at monica’s locker, sometimes go to the vending machines with dan/bill/cheese/any combination of these. occasionally head over to tory’s/danny’s/hewitt’s locker too.
Then homeroom: ask leah/lizzy about english hw, do english hw if we had it, work on some AP notes maybe, ignore the announcements (unless somebody funny is on like brochius or however you spell his last name…)
English: Zone out as smallwood tells us everything we already know five million times and hands out large packets of useless information, realize with a shock that the period’s just about over and we’ve done absolutely nothing
Study Hall: Dump stuff on table, say hi again to nolan and featherstone and cheese and jacob and andy, maybe check xkcd or cyanide and happiness, work on AP US notes while talking to cheese and occasionally looking over at the comp for whatever andy’s showing everybody excitedly today (something incredibly nerdy, usually). When notes are finished, mess around and then argue with almos for a while as she tries to make me actually work on something.
History: mostly just discussion stuff. Now that the AP test is over it’ll probably be movies mostly
Band: tuesdays and thursdays is full orchestra (kill me now!) where i go suffer the Wrath of Crandall and play sucky music that nobody likes with billy, hahnz, hewitt, d3po, william the lesser, feds, and sometimes yaakov. other days i just go to band and play slightly-less-sucky-but-still-boring music with molly and mellison and carolynn and andy and (kill me again) little noah (han solo)
Lunch: i usually stay inside, we eat in the hallway by the cage, mostly it’s me, hewitt, andy, david, cheese, michelle, and bill. sometimes hecht, lizzy, hunter, phil, monica, or tory come too. Science hw is done during this time. Also strange and often perverted discussions that teachers tend to walk into at precisely the wrong moment.
After lunch is eaten: Go upstairs, mess around, circle with megan and cheese, walking-backwards contests with bill, etc, etc
Science: Make fun of messerly as she attempts to teach. Learn nothing, mess around with leeny, break out into random song (bon jovi or the police, usually)
Math: Attempt to actually understand what’s going on, usually fail. Sometimes zone out. Work on hw with Leeny and Courtney after jones is done teaching
Latin: Listen to doc’s stories, get on the comp, play isketch, watch movies, fall asleep on top of the desks (three desks pushed together with a backpack pillow is reeeally comfortable)
Looking back, i’m really surprised that i don’t fail all my classes…
Anyway, after school on tuesdays and thursdays-pit fun with feds, celia, hahnz, and tory. More Wrath of Crandall, although she’s not as bad when you’re in a smaller group and people aren’t being obnoxious. Sometimes pizza parties and things. Good times.
other days, walk home with danny, hewitt, sometimes tory or jacob, and cheese. Sometimes celia too.
Get home: Collapse, listen to music, read, eat, do chores, go to cassingham to fly danny’s plane or on fridays sometimes havenwood for capture the flag, or sometimes just stay home, do hw, and do some more collapsing. Also get on comp and stuffins.
My days have a lot more variation than i thought they did, from looking at other peoples’s schedules.
116-You’re always fridgey, no matter what you do. Sorry if that doesn’t sound hardcore enough, but i like it and it’s easy to type
So what did i do specifically today? Ha, fun, well, it started off with an “Oh BLEEP” moment when i woke up and realized i had to get ready fast. Fast shower, fast dressed, grabbed music, got bike and apple. Had to hold the apple in my mouth the whole way because i’m not skilled at riding without hands, and anyway i had a hard enough time over the bumps with just one. Got there right at 8:30 to set up the pit, we moved in then i stuck around to watch the play a bit. Played some tetris on jacob’s phone, then we were sent up to the catwalk to fix some lights and stayed up there for a while because watching a show from the catwalk is really cool. Then i came home at around 3-ish, collapsed, did chores, ate, started obama’s book which is surprisingly good (i expected it to be kind of boring, but it’s not) and found out that mater was getting me a bass guitar (SQUEE!). Actually technically i’m getting it, because i have to pay for it. But she got one cheapish somehow, and dad checked some reviews that said it was a pretty good guitar. so i’m pretty excited about that.
My life story’s really long. Wow. Anyway.
THANK YOU BLESSED GAPAS FOR MY HONORED REQUEST. MUCH LOVE AND PEACEFUL PIE TO YOU. ABNBAKBJFAFBFAK. Now I have a countdown here too oooohhhaoejfa I’m going to die.
(115) hey hey vegetarians are coll business. D: I can see how you would get frustrated with him though.
I got the coolest jacket in Little Tokyo. It’s black and has a lot of Japanese writing on it, and some flags and flowers and alfjdkhakba it is amazing.
129- whee catwalks! and watching shows from them! I liked doing that! ^_^
Hmm, if we’re doing life stories I’d better do a better one than “7:30-2:50.”
Kay…
Around 10-11: Take shower. Get in bed. Read. Decided it’s time to sleep. Read some more. Force book closed. Sleep.
6:10ish-7:00: Get woken up. Get dressed. Go dawnstairs. Eat breakfast, normally consisting of 3 strawberries or a peice of bread. Go upstairs. Brush hair, teeth, put in contacts, ect. Walk to bus stop.
7:07: Get on bus. Endure bus ride. Get off bus.
7:15/7:28, depending on bus drivers mood: Put stuff in locker. If it’s later, curse bus driver as I rush to shove stuff in locker and get to class.
H. Global History: Listen to Mr. H. Get depressed about Holocaust. Get more depressed as we watch sad movies on Halocaust. Geat extreamely sad at stories about Mr. H’s great grandperents and death camps. Near tears at learning about test on Monday. Read.
H. Geometry: Talk to L and D and S.If there’s a collect, ask people and after finding our answers are horidly wrong, beg K to explain it to us. K responds her collect is across the room with other people. Go find other people, steal K’s hw, and beg her to explain it to us. After figuring it out smirk at others who havn’t asked K yet. If theres no collect, pass homework around group as we check each others ansews against our own and fill i ones we didn’t miss. Mrs. H (coincidentally, Mr. H’s aunt) watches ua and laughes. Glare at Mrs. H. Learn, or pretend to. Talk to L, and crack up after L starts to for no reason. Recieve odd looks. Work on hw/talk.
H. English: Listen to Mr. W, read ahead, and when I’ve read all we’re doing read my own book. Twice a week raise my hand to get participation points.
Spanish I: Stare midlessly at board. Take notes. Be bothered by the blockhead behid me, realize to late he’s copied my entire worksheet and wince as he pokes/shakes/touches me every time I get a question right (normally). Blockhead turns on fan sitting on counter, after crawling underneath the cunter to plug it in. Teacher does not notice. Fan blows my papers. Tearcher tells him to turn it off. I gain major self-control points for not bashing his head against the nearest brick wall.
Lunch: Mon/Tues/Fri eat with L, and sometimes John comes over. E used to, but he’s finally not anymore. Wed/Thurs eat with more people because it’s block day.
H. Biology: Crack up. Learn. Know everything, and when we don’t, pretend to. Crack up more. We no longer recive oddd looks.
SH: Be bored out of my mind. Talk to C. Ignore odd conversations of stoners behind me.
PE: After sprinting down the hall as the bell rings, enter locker room. Go to gym. Bleh. At least we’re doing tennis.
Band: Play flute. Be happy that L isn’t next to me cause she’s a senior and doesn’t need to learn the grad music. Curse ‘Pomp and Curcomstance’ to any hell there might be. Tell the juniors that if they walk slow for grad when it’s theur turn I’ll beat them with a cattle prod.
And now I have to go. Thank which ever deity you prefer that you don’t have to read abut the bus ride home, the walk home, entering my front dore, ect.
I believer that minimoose4 is the person who I mentioned, the one that doesn’t subscribe to Muse.
HORRAY!! My dad ordered “How to Survive a Robot Uprising”!
We have instant moderation, or at least did.
I LOVE THEATER 24!!!!!!!!!
More later.
Okay, so Theater 24 is this thing where you stay up for twentyfour hours writing a play that you are going to perform that next night. I slept for only 3 1/2 hours and had SO MUCH FUN!
Our script was as bad as NaNoWriMo filler, though. They were half asleep when they wrote it and have terrible writing skills. But great ideas. We had a blast.
My only complaint: They should have let me write some of the dang script!
This is what I said:
“Ummm, can I try writing some of the script?”
“We need you to work on the lobby poster.” (this didn’t get started until our twelfth-grade director got us posters and poster paint, the next day at 4:00….. grr…)
“Okay, well, just so you know, you spelled capiche wrong, along with doesn’t, can’t, and (lots more words I don’t remember here), that sentence is grammatically incorrect, and ‘y’all’ isn’t western, it’s southern.”
Please forgive my few mistakes in the above writing. I don’t wanna go and correct them at the moment.
“Well, what grade are you in, eighth? We know more English than you.”
And then, my FRIEND JAROM (who was being a jerk at the time) had to butt in saying, “Well, Rachel’s usually nit picky and a micromanager, so don’t pay attention to her.”
Yeah, THANKS, Jarom.
Gaah.
And they didn’t want me to play the piano, they wanted to record them playing the piano terribly and with a terrible microphone.
Oh, well, I decided that if I was going to enjoy the time I had there
137- I want to do that! I sort of have, only it didn’t take 24 hours. I wrote this play with a friend of mine and my little sister, and then we put it on and forgot the most interesting line! We had to completely change outfits in about ten seconds, which led to much stress. It wasn’t a very good play, either, but no surprise there.
Hmmm… I like Lady Cinnamuffin, but it’s a bit of a mouthful. What do you think about Lady Moonbeam or Cinnamon Moon? I really don’t know.
Haha. Alright, FrigidSymphony it remains, but Blackjack Guillotine gets added as a decoration.
I want to change my name again, but to what? I’ll get back to you on that.
I like Cinnamon Moon best.
140- Hooree!
I slept seven hours last night.eegggghh. I think it has something to do with drawing before I go to sleep. *headdesk*
What, no Mothers’ Day thread? Sheesh…they are so under-appreciated…
hello jello!
I got my mom an Ankh decorated with celtic knots. Which have nothing whatsoever to do with eachother, but still look great.
goodbye melon pie!
I like Lady Cinnamon or Cinnamon Moon!
Hmm, speaking of name changing, I was thinking of just shortening mine to “Melpomene.” Thoughts? Comments? Criticisms? Is “criticisms” a word?
149-I like ‘Sweet M.” better than just “Melpomene”.
I watched ‘The Addams Family Values” last night. Great movie. Really nice–especially the part about the summer camp and so on. Oh, and Gomez.
149- I liked the “sweet” it’s always reminded me of melons somehow. and it indicates the differnce between you and Urania’s sister… ^_^
speaking of name changes again, I think I’ll go by widdershins for a bit. (with e~a to the side, of course)
I hereby become… The Totally Insane MBer. We’re probably all insane though, to an extent at least, but i’ve been crazy for years.(I quoted myself!)
widdershins is insanely fun to say, so i won’t complain. but you’re still e~a
why all this name shortening? i’m going to have to extend mine!
k, that’s a bit TOO long
149- I agree with e~a, I like the ‘sweet.’ It reminded me of melons to, actually.
Are any of you going to do Script Frenzy? I think I’m going to give it a try.
keep the whole name sweet menelopie!
156-yep! I know absolutely nothing about scripts. Should be fun.
Well? Why?
You like my new name? I doubt all of it will make it through but let’s see….
I just posted, but it seems to have disappeared! ah! I wonder if it’s the long name?
ok, there they are. A lot got cut out. what I originally wrote was “emmatheduck, who isn’t sure what’s going on with the names but figures she should elongate hers because everyone else is, despite the fact that that is succumbing to peer pressure or whatever it’s called, which she usually tries to avoid, but it does look like fun and so I might as well keep on typing until I have to stop, which I think I will at some point because there is probably a maximum length to these names but it doesn’t seem to be stopping me so maybe it will just get cut off in my post.”
156, 158- What’s Script Frenzy?
The last part was” and who thinks a lot of other things that he is too lazy to type”.
I’m back!!! Anybody miss me??
137-Sounds interesting….
*dos’nt really feel like reading all 164 or so posts*
165) It was interesting. And really fun.
And I am still tired.
Sleep, oh how I love sleep. I knew it once……..
*zonk*
Man, do you know what’s a really good book once you resign yourself to the ending (the ending is really good, it just wasn’t the way I wanted it to end, I read it over and over until I liked the ending)? Keturah and Lord Death.
I officially love the book. It’s almost believable, you can imagine it being told around a campfire in the middle ages.
*sighs*
You know, with my story I wrote for NaNoWriMo, I’m tempted to change not only the setting, the order of events, and the antagonist, but also change it to third person. Yay, I think that during July that’s what I’ll do, since I’m doing Script Frenzy.
It’s like taking apart a bad but ingeniously thought up quilt and fixing all the stitching and putting in some fabric that actually goes together.
158- Yeah, I found a good website that shows you how to write a script, in script form. I think I’m going to post a link to it on the site somehwere, it’s really helpfull. Tells you how big to make the margns and everything.
168- You try to write a 20,000 word script in a month. It’s of relation to National Novel Writing Month (aka NaNoWriMo or Nano) where you try to write a 50,000 word novel in a month. it’s really fun, even if you don’t make it.
168- Neat-O! I’m going to try it now. Thanks for explaining! What month is it?
Oh, and also, I think I’ll let my two main characters fall in love. They really need to.
But, I’m not letting my parents read that copy, since Joramhir’s name is just like one of my guy friend’s names (it’s an anagram of it, his first and last name can be changed around to be my friend’s first and last name) and I don’t know WHAT my parents would think of me…. I don’t want them to think I like him. (which I do not.)
169- June. I’d like to do it too, though I’m not sure I will as I’ll be at a writing class and will probably want to focus on other writing.
I know Standard American Format…but it’s for plays. And it’s American. But it’s still really fun! Here’s how you do it (this is probably completely irrelevent and pointless, but I feel like doing it, so bear with me…)

Okay, this is actually not as fun as I thought it would be. So I’m going to stop. But if anyone actually wants to see it, I’ll do it.
Has anyone else around here watched Wal-Mart: The High Cost of Low Price? We had to watch it in our history class.
It is completely biased, Leftist Liberal, and falsified information.
At least, that’s what I’ve found from my research……..
(If you haven’t seen it, don’t watch it.)
Oh, and one more thing: Albuterol makes me really hyper-ish tired. I don’t like using it. (I’ve had some respiratory illness and asthma, so I have to take it every four hours…….. )
I signed up for the script frenzy. I was kind of afraid it was in July, but thankfully it is not. So now, instead of studying for finals, language proviciency, regents, etc., I can write a 20,000 word script. FUN!! I can’t wait until June.
No moderation for one hour and twenty minutes. The poor GAPAs just have so much to do. *sends chocolate*
Yes, like catch the bus to work. *shuts down computer and dashes to the corner*
Can you eat the chocolate on the bus?
Play script or movie script?
Never mind, I’m going to go google it. That’s quicker, plus less bothersome.
Can we have a script frenzy thread? I know you did it for NaNo.
Sweet! I know you’re not allowed to write until 12:01 on June first, but that can’t stop the ideas from building up . . .
Yes, I think Cinnamon Moon is my favorite too.
Or Cinnamoon for short.
I like Cinnamoon. I also like Cinnamon Moon, except that it sounds like a perfume blend. In fact, I’m almost positive it is.
I wish I knew how to avoid smileys, short of putting a space in between the symbols. That “emoticon” up there is going to turn into a smiley, and I don’t want it to.
I made my name extra super long, just for fun. And to see what happens.
Movie script. Though I’ll be in China for two weeks of June and at a hockey camp where there is no free time at all, so I’ll be luckey to come up with an idea.
Okay. I know I haven’t been on in ages. But a lot of stuff is going on…
Can someone give me an update? I have self-torture to attend to.
I don’t think I’ll be very good at writing scripts.
186- You should still give it a shot! If you want to devote a whole month to writing a script that probably won’t be very good, that is . . . Rather like me!
Darn. That’s going to be a smiley.
(173) Are the sites you use as research unbiased as well? I’ve found it’s hard to find plain information on subjects like that; everyone seems to have a set opinion that they argue in favor of.
There. That was hard to type. i finally fiinished my English paper!!!! I hate English anyways, so I’m glad that’s finally done.
will this work?
Once upon a time everyone had ridiculously long names. the Gapas complained because it was clogging up the recent comments. Now lets all learn a lesson from that, and choose a name that is not ridiculously long?
Guess what? a name can only be 255 characters long.
does anyone know a website where I could find evidence saying that edmond dantes from the count of monte cristo is a tragic hero?
(sorry to just randomly jump in. i am a teensy tad desperate.)
also, what does inuyasha say when he attacks? i really must know, i am ocd like that.
192: thats weird, a second ago i saw your really long name
They went back and shortened it, I guess. It was just an expirement, anyways…
off topic my librey has a CARTOON HISTORY OF THE MODERN WORLD!!!!!!!!!!
166-I tried to get by a B day (Math, Language Arts, Keyboarding, History) (in that order) (thank Gawd for keyboarding) on four hours of sleep, and then my Eville math teacher handed us seven two page geometry worksheets, so technically fourteen worksheets for homework. Ugh *is already in PJs*
177-I don’t know about Rebecca, but I do!!!
*has to get off because Dad is having to do work and getting mad because [insert first name here] hasn’t practiced flute yet…*
197 — i play flute! i suck at practicing tho . . .
GAPAs, in the calendar for Towel day it says H2G2. Shouldnt it be HG2G?
Douglas Adams’s own abbreviation was H2G2, for Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy.
200-Oh really? weird. But I guess Douglas Adams was. I always though it was HG2G.
197+198- Flutes rock. Geminheardt all the way! Seriously, if you get into high school and want to stay with flute throuugh collage, check out that brand. Them and Pearl. Really good, and don’t break every other week like the starter flutes from Yamaha (though, those are good to start with. The good ones can get expensive…).
Insert “Yet” in my name.
We have no school Towel Day. It disappoints me because it’s going to be on a weekend the next two years. And then on the Memorial Day Monday off. When I’m a senior(hs), though, I’ll bring in a towel. People are probably a little overwhelmed by me now anyway. First wearing the dodecahedron head in lunch for a week to promote the play. Then today I brought my stuff for the NYC trip in my duct tape purse. And I was going to wear a snood to school in a few weeks(like a fancy pretty medieval hairnet with beads and stuff), because it’s as convenient as the current arrangement of pins and scrunchies to keep my hair out of my eyes. And I’m uncool like that. Then a few weeks after that is the semi-formal and my duct tape dress. I think I’m trying to leave middle school doing all the stuff I don’t want to be associated with next year but still want to do in public.
Stuff I’d love to do someday:
dress up in a formal gown at Madame Tussauds (wax museum) and just stand in the celebrities room and see who took pictures
I’m tired now. Less than 2 hours before The Else comes out, but I won’t get it for another half-a-day because of school.
whee! TMBG! and towel day!
(193) TETSAIGA RULEZ, KAGOME!!!!!!!!
Except not really. Long story.
i like flute a lot!!!!!!!!!!!
but i will get lessons next year so for now it shal sit in my room being playes with the ocassional shrill sound!!!
182- Oh well. I thought of it first.
I play flute as well. Glassboro, are you a boy? Ok, when I typed that that sounded really awkward. Sorry. We have our concert tomorrow and we are soooo terrible! We will never win at Busch Gardens. We shall fail miserably.
TMBG!!!!! *dashes off to iTunes*
I like “The Mesopotamians” best.
I just finished Artemis Fowl and I’m 1/4 through the code. I’ve got three pages of decoded words already! Who else has used their mad muser skillz to decode AF?
204- But it’s an iTunes exclusive for 2 months. *sigh* I like cds in all their tangible, plastic glory.
206 — wha? :??: my curiosity has been piqued
209- Yes, I am. Why? A lot of people think that I’m not, though, because of my hair.
200-My friend found (as I will soon) that the movie is much funnier than the book. He read a part about falling ladies and stopped reading.
202-I do not want to play flute after 8th grade. In fact, I don’t wanna play it now, but my mother is forcing me to. It’s flute or orchestra where I have to start playing violin (which I endured seven years of) and I don’t want THAT. No offence to anyone, but I like LISTNING to music. Not PLAYING it.
[Snipped attempt to establish connection with MBers on another online site. Sorry! We GAPAs strongly discourage that sort of thing. –Robert]
200: Hm, shouldn’t it be H²G²?
Glassboro, you play flute and you’re a boy? That is so cool!! I’ve only met two other boys who play flute, because it is usually dominated by girls.
211- I used to think that, but it takes like 10 minutes to download something and days to buy an album from Amazon then wait for it. Music’s a sort of impulse purchase for me normally, and I like instant gratification. But The Else has a whole second disc of songs and extra pictures and stuff, so I’ll try to get the CD too. I can’t wait two months, though. I love TMBG. *hopes there will be a poster-size picture, or something in the liner notes large enough to post on the wall in her room*
210- see music thread
GAPAs why am i not on the whos here page?
All the flutes in our band are girls… and we have 20-ood flutes… I agree, more guy flutists would be nice. Keep up with it, Glassboro!
Today, just after I left band (last class of the day) and wa in the halway, the fire alarm went off. So i had to walk to the front of the building and couldn’t go to my locker and grab my stuff (I know, that sounds bad. But seriously, there was a)only smoke b)in the other direction c)if I had gone to by locker there would be a closer exit dorr than the one the teacher herded me through d)I had stuff I did not want to get soggy (it was raingin, like the library book and grad. music folder for band I hadn’t planed on taking home anyway), ad it’s rainging so we stand out there dripping for minutes till the let us walk around the school to the busses. And now I have none of my hw. Grr..
(212) Since Inuyasha is really funny to me (sry Penty, I know it only by the Viz release, which is funny XD) my friends sometimes poke fun at it. My one friend was doing a psudo Inuyasha voice and all she could think of to say was “TETSAIGA RULES, KAGOME!!!” and it was v. amusing.
216-MAKE THAT THREE! I’m sitting sixth chair right now because I messed up on ‘This Old Man’. And now I feel so lame.
219-The best flute players are boys, although they are a significant minority.
214- No way. The movie, while in many ways very good (i.e. dolphin song), is not nearly as enjoyable as the book. What part about falling ladies are you reffering to? I can’t think of anything in H2G2 that could be described like that.
And I really don’t think you can say the best flute players are boys, there are certainly many excellent female flautists.
Ugh. We finished watching “I Am Sam” today in english, it was a good movie but now we have to write an essay comparing the ways Charlie in Flowers for Algernon and Sam cope with being ostracized from society. I hate essays.
233-I have only seen the movie, and I have yet to read the book. I’m not quite sure, but he read something orally about falling women. If you notice, in almost all good operas, the camera zooms in on first chair flute-a boy. Not that I’m first chair flute. Gah. I hate instruments anyway.
212- Inuyasha? Feh. Ranma 1/2 is where it’s at.
HIRYU SHOTEN–HA!
Why do you hate instruments? Flute’s fun, when you can play it.
224- Read it. Though seeing the movie first will probably have ruined the experience. I’m staying out of instrument discussions. I have no skill (Yes, I have tried flute. Evil instrument. Please don’t get offended, flute people. It’s nothing personal.) and have resigned myself to be a listener. It really doesn’t matter to me, in the end. I mean, somebody’s got to sit in the audience.
227- Hear hear! I wish I could play violin, but I don’t have enough motivation to practice “Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star” for hours a day while holding the bow in an uncomfortable position. However, it’s not the talent that matters as much as the motivation, as you will know if you read that particular issue of Muse.
I play the flute. ’tis quite fun. Did anybody (in NYS) do NYSSMA?
The Else!! YAY!
I am extremely sorry for the double post. However, this is important! I have just realized that today is my one-year anniversary of MB. A whole year of Mostly Harmless… It’s been great!
What’s that?
From June 15th-the last day of June (I’m too lazy to figure out if it’s the 30 or the 31) I’m going to be in Chamonix, France. My dad’s climbing there, and I’m going. If there is an airport network there, or computers with internet, I’ll be all right, but there might not be. The only good thing is that there’ll be a new random thread when I’m back, so I won’t have to wade through 300 posts on it.
Sadly, I don’t play the flute. But I do play the piano! Piano makes me happy!
I am also happy because school is almost over! And I am having an end of year party!
I, too, am sorry for the double post, but I just saw 230. My anniversary is on the 22nd, in 6 days.
*pies purplefinch* Congratulations! Stay at it, you’ll regret having left if you ever come back. I know from experience.
Should someone write a letter to Muse and in it mention that there isn’t so much PoPoing on it as there was? That might get MG back. I think that the random thread has helped a lot, so that people can random post with (near) impunity.
221- Chamonix? Cool! Your dad climbs? Also cool! I wish my parents climbed. I would be able to climb outside a lot more. Have fun!
As for the instrument thing, I just play saxophone. Flutes only hinder us when they work together in packs of six or more. I like them, though.
hey!
where did the ko-konvention thread go??????
I can’t find the May Muse discussion thread!!!
No wait I found the kokonventions thread: click here
(237) The May/June discussion page is here.
Gasp! What happened to Robert’s book review?
I took it down for a second to check the link. I think it will work for non-subscribers.
240- Yes, it works for me.
GAHHH I have my band concert tonight!!! I will die!!! We shall fail!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! NOOOOOO!!!!!
229- I’m doing NYSSMA for the cello. Sadly, it’s a really pretty song that I completely destroy every time I try it. All my friends are a level ahead of me, so I’m trying to catch up and it isn’t working.
226-I don’t know. I can play it pretty well, I’ve been first chair for a long time once, but it dosn’t really appeal to me.
227-I don’t hate it, I just don’t enjoy it.
228-Oh Gawd. I played violin for seven years, and it was noo picnic.
*pies purplefinch* Happy anivirsiraryaryary!!
242-Ahh you’ll live. I did.
HALLELUYAH!! I got new Heelys, AND I got two Daniel Wilson books!! O, happy day!
Gah! I feel so out of whack around here. So many new names, but at least I don’t see any PoPoers.
If you don’t know me, I’m an old-ish blogger. I came April 9, 2006, and then essentially left the MuseBlog for all of the PoPosts and just the frenzy and such… well, I don’t remember, a few months ago, I think?
Well now I’m back, slowly easing myself into the flow of MuseBlog. All of the new people seem great from what I’ve seen, and I hope they’re having a good time.
Erm… yes-ah.
246- HOORAY!!!! An- I mean THF, you’re back!
I’ve gotten used to calling you by your real name on AIM…
246-What? You posted here and maybe even later. But it is true you haven’t been on for a little while so I will give you a pie anyway *gives a pie*
And I (and several new Popopo I brought in) have been working hard.
246 – Hey! Welcome back! Hadn’t seen you posting much lately, but then again, I haven’t posted for awhile either. Yeah, all the newbies seem pretty awesome.
Okay, so whazzup everyone? I had to go to the eye doctor’s today and get my pupils dialated, so I get a really sweet note that says I’m EXCUSED FROM HOMEWORK! Yay! But I still need to work on some because now I’m un-blinded enough to actually distinguish individual letters on a computer screen.
I need to work on a report on Sikhism, and my sections are Symbols, Books, and Interesting Facts. Is anyone here Sikh?
I just finished Curse of Blackmoor Manor (ND computer game) Anyone else here played that?
Okay, random questions are over.
If anyone bothers to go back to the VT shooting thread, I just posted a sad poem that’s been circulating via email for awhile now. If you go read it, try not to cry.
Has anyone seen the samsung commercial of insects being hit with miniature pies? It made me think of muse Very cool. Type “Millemetres Matter” into a youtube search box and you’ll see what I’m talking about.
hay gapas thanks for combining the two posts
249: About your report: cool! A couple Sikhs go to my high school. We studied Sikhism in 6th grade during the religions unit even though it’s not a major religion, because the first Sikh temple in Ohio had just been built right near us.
WHOA. Double rainbow outside my house. COOOOL.
Hay GAPAs, did you get the MuseCast I sent you?
210- I didn’t bother. It was a library book and I didn’t care especially. It would probably be a very watered down version anyway.
Kiki you made one??? And you have a double-rainbow??? 8)
i like pie!
246- Welcome back and hello and all! ^_^ You’ll get the hang of it in no time…then again, I suppose you already knew that, because I think everyone here feels at home in no time…whee…well, I think you know what I mean…
253- Oooh, new MuseCast? xD
So APs are over, and I dunno if I posted about this before because I’ve been quite disoriented… Meh. Calc wasn’t bad at all, Chem wasn’t as bad as I thought, but still…ack. I don’t have a very good feeling about it…
‘course, that’s about all I can say about the exams, LOL
I have a lovely field trip tomorrow to NYC and then prom’s on Friday. So the rest of this week is going to be quite painful, but at least there’s no school…
So how is everyone? Smashing, I hope!
I’m still not sure of what I think of MtM, and haven’t gotten The Else because iTunes is being quite a meanie to me. Meh, but ah, well. I also rather recently developed an affinity for The Dropkick Murphys.
And Doctor Who is probably one of my new favourite television shows. I’ve given up actual tv in favour of wonderful online sites that have all the shows sans advertisements! Whee!
Also read Steinbeck’s Of Mice and Men today during chem, because I had to for English. I don’t hate Steinbeck quite as much now, though my loathing of The Pearl persists!
My hair is quite large and rather wavy right now due to the intense humidity outside, but that’s a story for a different thread. Meh………..
Tomorrow’s trip should be relatively disastrous. I so cannot wait!
I also finally broke down and got myself a copy of The Silmarillion. Whee!
Okay, later! I am now considering school over and will therefore have more time for loveliness such as the MB!!!!!!!
Why am I using all of these exclamation points?!?
Gah, I used one again!
And again! That’s three “!”s!
End MP reference.
THF! Hello! I had just been thinking a few days ago hat I hadn’t seen you much in a while…..just shows how observant I am
Anyway, welcome back!
*pies, despite THF not being a newbie*
GAPAs, C++darkmage and the gimanator still aren’t on the Who’s here list. Whazzup widat? Huh?
(276) I like pie too!
Hello old people who were gone and are now back!
Yo yo yo!!!!!!!!!!!!
The return of TT is celebrated in splendor……
CELEBRATE GOOD TIMES COME ON!!!!!!!!!!
WOOHOO!!!! Hello old friends!
i saw the mm video! it is so funny!
i like the way they pie the pesty insects!
229- I did a level three trombone solo. I’m at least two levels behind everyone else in my grade. *sighs* I got a 24/28. Then I went to a TMBG concert. The concert may have overshadowed NYSSMA on my posts here.
253- New MuseCast=good. iTunes doesn’t have it. iTunes also has a problem with the last one. Something about needing authorization.
257- Where in NYC are you going? We just went on a trip there Monday.
You should get The Else. It grows on you, even though I was disapppointed a little at first. And it’s eleventh in the charts. The top 10 are displayed. Set an example. Maybe all the other people who are having problems with iTunes but are fans will get it too then and it’ll get in the top 10 and more people will see and click and buy and it’ll still be in the charts and more people will see and click and buy…
Doctor Who is good.
And The Pearl is evil. I generally disapprove of anything that’s supposed to be important because of symbolism. I don’t mind if there’s a little nonoffensive symbolism in something otherwise good, but the whole point of The Pearl is what it symbolizes. We had to do an English project earlier this year about it. The pearl represents the insubstantiality of the human mind.
~*~*~*~*~*~
Knock knock!
Who’s there?
Donut!
Donut who?
Jelly donut!!!!!
*everyone who was at the play cast party collapses laughing, everyone else looks at them oddly and slowly backs away*
You had to have been there. I assure you, it was hilarious at the time.
249-They’re always armed (with a blunt kirpan). The word ‘Singh’ means a lion, and the shared last name is symbolic of brotherhood. The hair is never cut because it is believed that the hair is where a man stores his power.
*hackscoughsfallsoverdies* I am now officially frightened of little children. Especially kindergarteners….
We played as a Jazz Band for the elementary school in our area, and they were completely fine until I got outside after school. I was at the elementary, waiting for my mom to come and get me, and these little kindergartners CAME UP TO ME, STOLE MY COTTON CANDY, and ran away. Then they came back and tried to take my TRUMPET away, and my backpack, and they started jumping all over me and pulling my hair and singing random rude songs. Oh, and telling me that our assembly made it so they couldn’t have snacktime.
Joy.
They could have just NOT COME.
Oh. My. Gosh. I don’t know why, but it scared me to death.
What the hey? A thread with nothing on it? I just randomly looked up thread 820, and it is empty. With nothing but the word “ebay” on it….
Weird…..
Why can’t you post on it? I tried, it didn’t work.
266- You’re right. Weird.
265- Yeah. I agree totally, though I’ve never had something that extreme happen to me. Or at least not of that genre.
Just wondering, what should I serch in iTunes to get a MuseCast?
「ã¯ã‚„ã会ã„ãŸã„ã‚‚ã‚“ã§ã™ãªã€‚ã€
…AUGGHHHHHH SHOU YOU KILL ME. DIES. DIES.
Why isn’t it the 25th yet. Why.
(265) UGH children like that are so annoying. Don’t their parents watch them? Actually, one time my mo’s friend (when they were in college) got annoyed by some brats running around in a restaurant screaming and what not. She went up to their mother and said “You know, not everyone thinks your kids are as cute as you do.” Something like that. It was amusing, AND MUCH DESERVED,
And yet- when you search for ebay, nothing comes up. Very mysterious.
249- speaking of stuff like that! i did my social justice speech on the hijab. i think i will post it. i said my speech yesterday and people liked it.
[External link snippage — Rosanne]
In the Canadian charter of Rights under Equality Rights there is freedom of religion. And yet there are still people who are not allowed to express their religion.
Five girls were disqualified from a Tai Kwon Do tournament because their hijab “was not part of the uniformâ€. One girl was told to leave the soccer field because her hijab broke some safety rules. France has placed a ban on head coverings in school and two states in Germany are thinking doing the same. Why?
The World Tai Kwon Do Federation’s rules say that nothing shall be worn on the head other than the head protector. Generally officials have been lenient when it comes to the hijab being under the helmet, but in the recent tournament in Quebec they were not. The hijab is very close fitting to the head and, under the helmet, does not show much. If officials worry about pulling or tugging of the hijab during a match, they need not worry, so little of it shows that it would be hard to grab hold of.
In the case of Asmahan Mansour, the girl who was taken out of the soccer match because she was wearing a hijab, the organizers of the tournament said that they were all about safety. They were not being “racist to Muslims†they just didn’t want anyone to be strangled. Asi (as her friends call her) was backed up very strongly by her teammates. Their team chose not to play
Why is it that even in Canada, a country known for its multiculturalism, people are excluded from activities because of their religion? In 2004 France placed a ban on religious symbols and clothing in public schools. This included the hijab. Many were outraged by the ban. France wanted to demolish social barriers and religious prejudice but many feel that religious garb should only be questioned if it could be harmful to those around the one wearing it. The hijab’s whole purpose is modesty. The idea behind Muslim garb is modesty. Muslim men and women wear loose fitting clothing that does not show the shape of the body. Women also wear a head covering, this is the hijab. Why are we placing a ban on modesty? Since when has modesty been dangerous?
The Canadian Charter of Rights states in section fifteen under Equality Rights, subsection one that “Every individual is equal before and under the law and has the right to the equal protection and equal benefit of the law without discrimination and, in particular, without discrimination based on race, national or ethnic origin, colour, religion, sex, age or mental or physical disabilityâ€. What this means is that no matter what background you have, what religious beliefs you choose to follow, what our gender is, and whether you have a mental or physical disability you should not be subject to discrimination. Why, then, in Canada have we strayed so far away from our beliefs? Why, then, were those girls not allowed to participate in a sport they loved? Why, then, do we still allow those sports associations to keep their rules? Can sports associations not accept that times change and that decades ago those rules would apply but that now, in 2007, in a world so changed, in a Canada so changed, that these rules might not apply? Why?
I ask why because I do not understand. Why do people discriminate against each other? Is it because we have been doing it since the dawn of time, singling out those in our society who are different? No one likes to believe it but it’s true. World war two was started because of religious discrimination. No one would want to follow in the footsteps of Hitler. Obviously the issue of the hijab has not gone that out of control, but there is always the question: what if?
To save the world, to save our selves, to save our fellow mankind I propose we set our differences aside and walk along the road to tomorrow. Let us not dwell in the village of the past but set our feet on a path, barely beaten by human feet, a path where there is no one who can not see that no matter what a person decides to follow, whether a woman wears a hijab or not, we are all human. We all have hearts, beating human hearts within our chests that yearn for a better tomorrow. So let us set our differences aside and set out on the path as so many are ready to do. Are you?
266-Yup. It went to a blank window when I tried. But why would the GAPAs make a thread about ebay and then make it so you can’t post on it???
And which two threads are the ones around where that thread should appear on the what’s here page??? *goes off to look for more hidden threads*
Whoa this is so cool!!!!!! Remember when there were two pie war threads because two GAPAs tried to make one at the same time??? Well, that second one didn’t disappear!!! Type in the number “849” where the “844” is for this blog page. And go. You can’t post, but you can see the two posts that did make it on there!!! Neato!!! And somehow weird.
「ã¯ã‚„ã会ã„ãŸã„ã‚‚ã‚“ã§ã™ãªã€‚ã€
I hate this letters! This is the most useless script ever! What’s the point?
273- Weird.
Sorry for the triple post…
Way back when, #’s 371+372, didn’t get to be threads!!! And 373 is a thread about Sherlock Holmes, and kiki got first and second posts. Interesting… *is like Sherlock Holmes*
273- But you know what’s really weird? I saw that thread before it was made unpostonable, and it said, not, “will the bakery-fueled horro never end?” but “It looked as though Part Three would last forever, but here’s Part Four at last.”
Bizarre.
agagabagabag (259):
Sorry that you, C++darkmage and the gimanator are not on the who’s here page yet. The GAPAs are busy but will get you all on there eventually.
277- Hokay.
269-I cannot wait for the 25th either!!! It is the day I a leaving for the czech republic and subsequently italy and subsequently poland. I was born in the US, but my blood is all Polish.
We are doing a science project on our favorite sport, and I chose Parkour!!! Huzzah for Parkour!!! Does anybody know any research resources for it? Other than the Muse, I mean?
271- Godwin’s Law. Sorry, blame xkcd.
Seriously, though, a nice speech on an important topic.
277- Oh, wait. Ah’m on it, but mah pals ain’t. (Sorry, ah’ve been talkin’ funnay eveh since ah put ahn a Texas shirt dis mornin’)
(274) If you mean that it shows up as boxes in your browser, that’s because you don’t have asian characters enabled. If you meant you don’t know the meaning: in Japanese it means “I want to hurry and meet/understand you”
It was on the blog of the vocalist of one of the bands I’m going to see soon, so I was understandably excite to see him all DKJFAKFA!! baout stuff.so yeah.
(279) :O It is? Really? Wow, there are so mnay things going on on that day..XD Awesome!
Oh,what a beutiful morning! Oh, what a beutiful day! I’ve got a beutiful feelin’! Everything’s goin’ my way!
Here’s a question everybody! What would you do if one day an alien appeared in your bedroom and announced that he was taking your toilet paper from your bathroom to his alein lab to study it?
Um as long as he just wanted the paper I wouldn’t say much.
I would warn him about how they sometimes can cumbust for no reason, and to be carefull with it if I were bored. If they looked malevolent, I’d attempt to sell them cradit cards until they ran away screaming.
Could we have a new comics thread? I loved the old one.
263- To the UN and Rockefeller Center. The UN tour was rather dull, but I got a really cool tote bag at the gift shop, and a lovely insulting Spanish Phrasebook. Wicked Spanish, it was… Funny to the max. Then we walked to Rockefeller Center, got lunch somewhere in the Plaza, and went back to the actual building to go in this reallyscaryelevator to the top of it, where we just loitered. Until we found an escalator, and then stairs, to get us even higher. At the topmost tourist-friendly level, I discovered that *gasp* one if the blocks was loose! So my friend filmed me doing a PSA about how unsafe it was xD Then we went to Times Square, got ice cream, and had waaaaay too much fun in the Sanrio store. I almost got this absolutely adorable hoodie…but it was $72 and I was like WTH?!? So we continued on until we found *dramatic pause* The Virgin Megastore!!!!!! Which, conveniently was having a $10 sale on all sorts of CDs and DVDs, so we went crazy and spent about an hour in there. Mostly playing with a point-screen [motion detectors ftw; it’s like a touch-screen, except you don’t actually have to touch it!]. There’s another video my friend made of me trying to press buttons with my head ^^; All in all, good times!
Hmm, I’ll have to try again to download The Else…
283- Probably give it to the alien and then say “TAKE ME WITH YOU? PLEASE? PLEASEPLEASEPLEASE!!!!!”
I would feark out for a minute and then tell the alien that it was fine, but to give me something in return from his planet.
My grandma is here!!! She is from Atlanta so I will mostly likely be spending time with her instead of on here. I will tell more about her, Marakesh (Morraccon restaurant), and my dad’s promotion on Tuesday.
287- VIRGIN MEGASTORE xD
I need The Else.
Anybody want to hear about my weird dream last night?
283- Give them the toilet paper.
um sure tell us!
ok. so last night i dreamt that there was a hurricane abou to hit my town. Me and five other people i know were outside at the time. We were trying to find a safe place to hide. for some reason, we thought it was good to hide under a picnic table. Five of us were under the picnic table. Somebody was missing! The sixth person then shows up, holding a gun and threatening to shoot us if we didn’t get out from under the table so he could hide there. we get out and run, the hurricane is getting closer, and we find… an auto garage. made out of cement, so it was much safer. then, since we’re glad that we’re safe, i start making out with some guy that i know that ended up in my dream. myy friend Ben is making out with some other girl. And then i woke up.
283-I would let him have it, but he would probably not even get to the paper dispenscer because it REALLY STINKS. Whoops, that was TMI.
293-???? Was the some guy anyone you knew? I had a dream like that, but without the hurricane, it was a huge earthquake, and me and my friends ran down a huge hill and suddenly I made out with one of my friends (who luckily was a girl, the only one there). And then all my other friends ran away and I woke up. And then I drank a ginger ale and spilled it all over my covers.
This is the random thread, and I was looking at my name in the Who’s Here page, and I saw that I had posted before April, when I thought I started! GAPAS, can you point me to the thread I first posted on?
[You started out on the October 2006 random thread, posted on a couple of other threads about the same time, dropped by again in January with a comment about wungs, and then started posting regularly in April. –Robert]
293- That is odd. I knwo what you mean about the picnic table bit, though. In one dream I had I there were a lot of people I my house I vaguely knew (actually, I think it was all the people on my bus) and a malevolent monster that was being kept at bay by someone meditating in my basement. Then that person died and we had to send someone else down to meditat, but we knew they wouldn’t last long so we were all running around looking for somewhere to hide. The dream-part of me wanted me to jump up on our deck railing (there were giaint tree-funguses growing off of it for some reason) and hide there, but our railing is in plain view and only a little over waist high. Then it sort of turned into a lucid dream where I decided “This is stupid, I’m smarter than this” and herded everyone into my neighbors house and dead-bolted the door.
I’m pretty positive I didn’t make out with anyone, though.
295-Thank you Robert! I wasn’t able to find those other threads, I looked in the October 06 archives but I didnt find any beavo the great. I remember the wungs though. I was surprised how everyone responded to my random Cha Cha Slide. I’ve got most of it memorized, you know.
294- yes, i knew him.
quoting from post 293-“i start making out with some guy that I KNOW”
Today I am going to go hear the founder of Slow Food talk. I am also going out to lunch, and volunteering for Slow Food, and doing a lot of other things.
I don’t have too much homework this week, but I do have to write a historical fiction story about two soldiers and a doc in the Vietnam war. It will also be the grammar final. Ick.
hargh-bleh. bar mitzvah. *dies* And I don’t even KNOW the dude!
oohhh….GAPAs, can we have a new Religions thread?
Ah sweet, me pals is on Who’s here. w00t!
300- I have to go to an bat mitzvah of a girl I barely know. Also, I was invited to a bar mitzvah of a guy I do know but I can’t go because I’m at camp in Vermont.
I have almost no idea what you do at a bar/bat mitzah.
GAPAs, I’m terribly sorry about this. This is Potato Chip on a school computer. I can’t get my name and email to stop showing up, so I’m using this username/email to clear my old username and email (I can’t clear the browser’s cache, it won’t let me). You don’t have to let this post through.
I had an odd dream last night, too. I was in a house with some other random children and teenagers and a teacher from my school was leading us but I didn’t really know any of them. We could do stuff on our own but occasionally the teacher would make us all duck so we couldn’t be seen. Then we soon all figured out that there was a war against children and these people were trying to hurt us because we were children or teenagers and the teacher was trying to protect us. We escaped in a line with one teacher/adult at the front and me at the back. I lagged behind and was with the teacher/adult at the back. We came across a man and his teenaged daughter both on some sort of non horse animal that was somehow australian and they had stopped and gotten off their horse-like things. The man had a pack on his horse-like thing and that horse-like thing took off away from him and towards us. We rode it for a while because we were lagging behind and we evenutally caught up with the man and girl and their family. We were able to deduce that he was on the good side because I knew him somehow and he had a cd of his stuff that talked about him in his pack. It told us that he spoke Quenya.
My other dream last night (which came first) was about the people at the local JCC and how some of them had died tragically somehow and we were having a funeral and it was rather depressing. Then the dream became us being in the auditorium and looking at the trees that were props and researching things. At the researching things point it seems to have morphed into the above dream.
300-Ohh I know that feeling. Been to at least three weddings, ten funerals, and twenty Bar/Bat Mitzvahs of people I have No Idea even existed. *is still remembering first post* You started to sing along with the Cha Cha Slide.
Isn’t it about time for a Part 3…?
Sorry ’bout the 2P, but Fridgey, we got it going again on the RRR thread, if you’re interested…
303- For the services, you sit around being bored. For the party, well, you PARTAY!
Robert oji-saaaan (whining) My computer does not load the Archives! Could you perhaps organize them by year and month? Perhaps then it will not be so much information on one page.
em, are you emmatheduck? I am still me, w/out the 2011
310- Robert old man? That is odd.
(311)No. although, in some of the older threads, I am Emiliana.
(312) Hey, “Oji-san” is a respectful address for a middle-aged guy. Although, I should have capitalized it. It can also mean “Grandpa” but I’m not sure, I think that might be Oji-chan.
Robert is about 50, nearly 51 in a month or so. I’m not entirely sure about this, as he refused to confirm it, and it is the product of some weak deduction on my part; he could be in his late 30s, and be too insulted by my asking to correct me.
If you remember, in Furaba, Kisa calls Gure-san ‘Oji-san’, and he’s only 27. Although, Tohru remarks at the time that this is strange.
Hm. I’m watching a Miyazaki right now. i love Miyazaki.
313- Oh, I remember! Oh, yes. Um . . . what on EARTH is Furaba?!?!? I only get my knowledge from a CD with folk tales on it, and in the Japanese one Oji-san was translated into old man. But that was for a translation, and it made more sense than if they had said, “Hello, middle-aged man”. So yeah.
OMG! I just remembered something!
314- How can you be watching a movie and hanging out on MuseBlog at the same time?
316- What?
It’s kind of a shame that so many old threads shut down.
(317) Youtube! Yay! I don’t think this movie is in english. It’s “Whisper of the Heart”
I remembered to send the GAPAs my green man picture. Are you guys still using that GAPA@musefanpage.com account?
(315) Oh sorry, i just assumed that you had gotten your information from subbed anime and scanalated manga. And I always assume that everyone has herd of Furaba, even though It’s pretty obvious that everyone hasn’t. I just wished they had. The world would be a much better place if everyone like Furaba. *is lost in thought* Well I guess good people can still dislike Furaba… What a radical thought.
Eh, sorry, I digress. Furaba is short for Fruits basket, a manga by er… *crosses fingers* Natsumi Tayaka? i don’t remember how to spell her name.
318-Yes it is.
319-Oh thank Gawd for Youtube.
Isn’t it time for a number 3???
(318) Many of them were shut down as a side effect of April Fool’s Day, but if there are individual threads you want reopened, you can always ask.
I just finished “Whisper of the Heart” It was really good! Go watch! Now! It was a lot better if you considered the metaphorical aspects. It’s really hard to sum it up, or to say what the theme is. It’s not like the other movies of his that I’ve watched. The others are really more about magic. Miyazaki likes magic. But this one was just a slice of life from a young girl. it wasn’t as Ideological as some of his other ones. She meets a boy she really likes, and he’s really talented, so she decides that she doesn’t want to be second-best. She doesn’t ever really say this, but it’s apparent. And at the end, when she gets off the bike to push, she says “I don’t want to just be a piece of luggage, I want to do something!” But she’s really just talking about her life in general.
Miyazaki is really good at mannerisms and movements.
310: good idea! that would be amazing. like there could be months that were links to pages with the posts from that month only.
323- Oh, I like Miyazaki. He is really good, he puts lots of little details into his work that make it seem more real that you don’t even notice at first. I should watch that vidio. After final are over, though. *shudder* I need ot study… but there’s only so much history I can take at a time…
