In fact, I happen to know that there is such a planet. Not only does it support life, but it is home to an advanced civilization.

It’s Official: We’re Mostly Harmless!

Just for fun, we punched the Fan Page (and MuseBlog’s) URL into SaferPage, a site that tests websites and rates how safe they are for kids. The result: we’re safe, all right.

Screen shot of MuseBlog's rating from Saferpage

We’re sugar-free marshmallows, fluffy non-allergenic pillows, scratchless, biteless kittens and puppies. We don’t tag you or track you or run invisible scripts or feed you cookies. And our only signpost on the big, scary Internet is one external link on Wikipedia.

The best part of the report, though, is the list of keywords. Take a look:

Just for Fun

Robert writes:

While reading old newspapers online for a personal project I’m working on, I ran across this ad in the San Francisco Daily Alta (April 20, 1871). I’m posting it just because I love it:

The amazing Professor Hazelmayer

Twenty performing birds and mice! Many incomprehensible things! And the world’s only Stylocarfe! You can’t see shows like that anymore. It would definitely be worth a dollar (and some of you would be eligible to get in for 50 cents).
