Purple Panda and Taiwan Hippo Fan have posted their sixth MuseCast, featuring sounds from last month’s Kokonvention and an interview with Kiki the Great about the article about Harry Potter that she and her father wrote for the July/August Muse.
All the earlier MuseCasts are still available on the blog:
MuseCast 1
MuseCast 2
MuseCast 3
MuseCast 4
MuseCast 5
Anyone who wants to sing along with “Have a Pie” can find the lyrics here:

Awesome! I was wondering how it went!
Thanks for posting it so quickly!!
Just so people know: the loud voice singing “Have a Pie” is my mom – she was standing right next to the microphone.
Cool! I need to buy a microphone! Gah! But even if I had a mic, I also need the computer to which I can hook the mic up, and I don’t know when I getting that. Argh!
I love it! give me more! lol at the stuff with NaK.
was it the panda or the hippo who said the thing about magnifying glass?
this was so cool! what is the article in january about, kiki?
I guess the answer to that is: today. Yippee! And I saw a tallship on the walk!
I recognize some stuff that could be my voice… some stuff that I know is me… some stuff I know isn’t…
wait, what? Kiki wrote the Harry Potter article an issue ago? Ooooh. I need to spend more time on the discussion threads.
And I have a microphone, just so you know…
But only the Windows Sound Recorder. Unless AIM does voice chat stuff in a way that works.
Love the new theme song!
You can hear Rebbecca really well!
Freakishly awesome guys! Great job!
i really enjoyed that (as usual)
I just listened to the first one. Is there one from this july? I’d like to see how they pronounced my name. And can other people make musecasts?
12- They don’t do birthdays anymore. I tried to say your name out loud yesterday and pretty much tied my tongue in a knot.
Bwahahahaha! Hi-larious! I think C++D has a mic. Could we make a musecast? We would go over pronounciation! But in the mean time, someone should try to say it on a musecast other than me.
14- you would have to send it in to the gapas and they would send it to THF and PP. you can’t call it a musecast other whys.
Whyn’t?
Pwnsome! (Duh) I just figured out that I might be able to submit something for the 8th MuseCast, because my mom just told me that she has this Mic/Headset thingy, and I already have total recorder… now I have to figure out what to yak about… any suggestions?
agagabagabag – you can record something and send it to us – whatever you send will definitely go into a MuseCast. You just have to have parental permission. That’s how we got Red-tailed HAWK’s submission.
17 (Beavo) – Here’s the list of things people wanted to hear on upcoming MuseCasts:
–History of Museica
-https://musefanpage.com/blog/?p=601#comment-5
–Terraformed RRR and its completion
-Writers: Alice, Prarilius Canix, Earth to MuseBlog, Lord Ragevuire the Shadow Mage
-Editors: Alice, Cat’s Meow
-Summary
–Harry Potter
–Antarctican Pies
–Excerpts from RRRs
–Kokonvention
Does that help?
10 (Cappy) – You could hear Rebecca that well? I could hear her when I really listened for it, but the really really loud voice is my mom.
18- I’m going to talk about the RRR, provided we ever manage to talk to each other.
18- OH! Really? Maybe I just THOUGHT it was Rebbecca. Whooopsies.
Er, l know that it’s customary say that it’s great, but the whole kokonvention thing might seem pointless to people who weren’t there. (Like me)
21- oh, It made me seem like I was.
What?
21 – Why? It was a conversation with Nancy Kangas and John Sandford, who work for Muse Magazine. I don’t see how that is pointless, but I’m sorry that you didn’t enjoy it…
21- What? Why! Geez louise! I’d LOVE it if I wasn’t there for them to include it in the musecast!
AAAH! Sorry, sorry! It just seemed like… fluff. Sorry.
The other five and the ending were great, but it seems like l have to love it cause it’s muserly.
I hope this won’t make you shun my contribution.
hey pp were is thf?
HAVE A PIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How can I make it play??? Grrr…. Help, please.
Peeps? I really want to hear it, and I don’t know how to get it to work!
Me neither. If you can’t her it, then I probably can’t help . . . I don’t know anything.
(30) What kind of computer do you have? Which system is it running? Do you have a player installed? Does the computer have speakers? (That is, can it play other things?) Does anything at all happen when you click the link? If so, what?
But who’s moderating? They might know? Please? *begs* I need to get off the computer soon, too….
Ah, thanks, I didn’t have your post when I wrote that. I have a Toshiba laptop, yes it has speakers, Internet Explorer, and I have iTunes, does that work? The other ones on the disk went to that. When I click the link it says “Downloading from site…..”and then says done, but nothing happens.
I’m moderating. I’d like to help, but I need to know what you’re working with. Oh, well… The sound file is in MP3 format and is stored at https://musefanpage.com/Sound_files/MuseCast_6.mp3 . Maybe you can right-click on it (if you’ve got a Windows PC and a mouse) and download it and then play it once it’s stored on your hard drive.
What do I need to play it?
Aha. Then it’s probably already on your computer. Open iTunes and look for “MuseCast_6” in your music library. If it’s not there, look wherever downloads go — maybe on your Desktop.
Okay, I’m looking, but I haven’t found anything yet. It’s not in iTunes, though. I’m not the best at computers, so I’m rather confused. I ran a search, and nothing.
MF – I hope it works!
THF and I are still working on a way to get it to iTunes. I’m sure it’s relatively simple, we just need to figure out a way to do it without paying anything. That might make it easier for you to get it.
Robert – can MuseBlog make an RSS feed? Because all we need is an RSS feed link to submit to iTunes then it will be accessible there…
Also, if it’s in iTunes, will I have to have an account? I guess so.
Try searching for “musecast*” (with the asterisk after the “t”). Maybe there’s a special “Downloads” folder. Or maybe it hasn’t downloaded because you distracted the computer by clicking the mouse before it finished. Computers can be finicky that way… Anyway, there are loads of things that could go wrong, but I’m sure we can straighten this out with a little experimentation.
No, you won’t need an iTunes account. The iTunes software should be able to open any MP3 file that’s on your computer, regardless of how it got there. You just need to find it.
Have you got RealPlayer or one of its equivalents? Try searching for “*player” (asterisk-player). The asterisk is a “wild card” that means “any characters, plus the ones I specify.”
Nope. I tryed again, and all it found was the other MuseCasts. I tryed clicking on the link again, and it did the same thing again. When I take the mouse off the link it says “done” but not untill I take it off. Weird.
(39) I’m not sure whether this version of WordPress can make RSS feeds. It seems to me that I read somewhere that it can’t. Yet another reason to upgrade…
(42) (!) How about right-clicking? That sometimes works magically when regular clicking won’t.
Bedtime for me. Maybe Rosanne or Rebecca will wander by and commiserate.
I tried right clicking, and it gave me the usual options, “Open, open in a new window, etc. etc…” What do I chose?
Opening in a new window can’t hurt. That way you can just close it again if you end up with something weird. It doesn’t sound like the way a music player behaves, though. Well, give it a try.
Have you looked for MuseCast_6 on your Desktop?
(Yes, I’m still awake, but I won’t be soon. Besides, I sense the presence of another GAPA.)
Blegh, I guess I’ll try again tomorrow. I haven’t found anything, but thanks for the help. *shrugs* When I tried Open in a new window, it was just blank and nothing happened. ah well. It’s only 11 PM!!! nah, just kidding. Goodnight.
43 (Robert) – No, it’s okay…I just thought that would be the easiest way. But I’ll find another place…
MF – if it never ends up working, I (or the GAPAs) can always email it to you. But that may not work either…I don’t know.
PP, GAPAs, it still isn’t working, so whoever wants to can email it, if you don’t mind. Thanks, I appreciate it!
I’ll mail you a copy. Are you sure your computer can play the other MuseCasts?
Yup, they went onto iTunes without a fuss. I listen to them every now and then when I need a chukle.
Thanks so much! I haven’t gotten it, but I’ll check the email tomorrow. Goonight to all, I’m off to take down the laundry.
I have it now, thanks so much Robert, eternal gratitude.
PP& THF, A triumph, it’s great! I had fun listening to it, as usual.
Kiki~ Nice, and I really enjoyed your article, I forgot to say something before.
And, by the way, the last piece was sight reading for Glassboro, so a big round of applause. It’s a bit tricky, and he did really well. Extra credit!
I tried the new mic.
Failure.
There’s another $15 dollars towards my Shakespeare Festival funds.
*sigh*
Is this a Harry Potter thread? If not, please direct me to the correct place.
55- No. It’s not. And I’m too lazy with too slow of a connection to direct you. Just search Harry Potter. You’ll find it.
Nope, wrong thread. Try “Harry Potter 2007” in the search bar.
55-No, but this is.
Just be sure to copy the SPOILER warning from the top of that page and paste it onto the top of your comment…
Wow, this thread is dead. Wait, there was another musecast after this one I think, so that would explain it…
Red-tailed HAWK

18-I’m going on a final attempt to squeeze myself into MuseCast 8 by gabbing about the MuseBlog Fanfiction. Capis?
