Spun off from the “do you remember?” discussions on the August random threads.
Here’s how the instigator, Cat’s Eye, describes it:
Relating our own experiences of “I remember I was” for 9/11, Michael Jackson’s death, Katrina? How it was for us when the Internet and iPods first started happening? Sort of pooling our remembered history?
This group project started on the “Partial Scripts” thread and quickly became popular enough to warrant a thread of its own.

For times when someone else’s words are better than yours.
Continued from Quotations, 2010.2.
This thread is a place for careful, clear, respectful discussions of difficult topics. It is not a place for having two-fisted no-holds-barred discussions.
MBers should be able to express their opinions without attacking others personally, and be able to listen to people who disagree with them without feeling personally attacked.
Easier said than done, of course. But MuseBlog is a good place to practice trying.

Continued from Dreams, v. 2009.1.
There never was a 2009.2. Apparently one “Dreams” thread a year is all we need.
Expect moderation to be patchy for what remains of the night as GAPAs are either out and about or down for the count, depending upon local conditions.

The latest version of our chess software has an option for bigger boards (with squares 48 pixels wide instead of the usual 32). We’re giving it a try. Let us know how you like it. If the boards are too big now, we can go back to the smaller ones.

On June 21, an unfamiliar MBer called Sans Orchestre left a comment on the random thread saying that she* had posted before under different aliases but now wanted to return for a fresh start.
Searching the blog and other sources, we discovered that her history went beyond simple changes in alias. We replied that first she should tell other MBers who she had been. Since then we haven’t heard from her or seen her on the blog, so we’ve decided to post that information here.
The game cromwell vs. Jakob Wonkychair has ended in a victory for cromwell, who now moves up to second place on the MuseBlog Chess Ladder.
