MuseBlog Job Applications

Errata proposed this thread, to popular acclaim. We GAPAs don’t really understand it don’t understand it at all, but that has never kept threads from working in the past. Here’s the description:

You think of creative reasons that wasting time is actually constructive, and type them all out! If we wanted to, we could also expand it into actually getting the jobs, as in people create mock jobs, others apply for them, and then the creator gets to chose one, based on their application. Then… Oh! Maybe we could have ‘Job Points’ or something similar, that you get when you get a job! Okay, that’s my idea. *beams*

RRR*: Alchemy, Part 2

This thread continues the multi-author story that started in June 2008. Kiwimuncher’s summary:

Nicholas is a poor, teenager who grew up on the streets. However, his life changes when he decides he wants to learn to read under a master (name?). But, when he disobeys his master and examines the forbidden books, his master turns him in to governmental officials, who are highly interested in Nicholas continuing with his education. currently, Nicholas is in a jail cell after being captured by the government while trying to escape with his father. (supposedly, his father gave Nicholas over for money, SUPPOSEDLY)

*Round-Robin ‘Riting.

“Bunny Apocalypse” Editing Thread

Someone wants to make sense of all that?!

Bunny Apocalypse: The Next Generation — Part 2

The next generation of future bunny fighters fights on. Continued from (wait for it) Part One.

Muse Academy Halloween Ball, 2008

The sun has set, the candles are lit. A foggy mist rises mysteriously from the ground. Eerie sounds and creepy music float out from the ballroom to greet the MuseBloggers as they arrive.... IMPORTANT NOTE: Please check your posts before sending them. The GAPAs will NOT rescue you if you accidentally submit under your "real" blogname here or your "masked" name elsewhere.

The description below is copied from Raynpho’s summary on the planning thread. If anyone has anything to add or correct, please let us know.

Who: Any MuseBloggers who wish to participate, but costumed and posting under corresponding alter-egoed names. You may send in a picture of your costume to the GAPAs, but detailed descriptions would work just as well.

When: Starts October 13, unmasking will begin around the 29th and progress over several days.

Where: On the Halloween ball thread. On MuseBlog. In Muse Academy, of course, possibly in a rooftop garden, if the weather is warm enough to permit it.

Food and Decor: Appropriate food, such as eclairs and apple cider (see a much more detailed list in comment 13) will be catered by H&H. Decorations will be tasteful and elegant, probably 19th century style, with not a shred of plastic or crepe paper in sight. Typical decor will include jack-o-lanterns and many candles. A giant pumpkin with the Muse Academy logo carved into it is essential.

The Going-ons: As of yet undecided. Possibly a scavenger hunt, if it is, in some way, feasible. Probably will end up fairly calm, with sophistication at every turn and minimal craziness/wild adventures.

Important: No bunnies. You may dress as one if you so wish, but no bunny attacks or the sort. Srsly.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Please check your posts before sending them. The GAPAs will NOT rescue you if you accidentally submit a comment under your “real” blogname here or your “masked” name elsewhere.

Bunny Apocalypse: The Next Generation — Part 1

Years later, the children of the MuseBloggers band together to fight a renewed lagomorphic menace. Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose.

Planning for the new characters and storyline started on Bunny Apocalypse, Part 6.

Round-Robin Smileys, Part 2

Continued from Part 1, where you can figure out what this genre is all about. Or not.

The RPG Alternative, Part 1

The discussion that started on Bunny Apocalypse (we think) and has been wandering about the blog may reconvene here. Once you’ve figured out what you want to do, we can tweak the title and this description as necessary.

The Rules:

~No characters, powers or technology that don’t fit the setting or plot line. Technology: Almost anything steam-powered goes, but analog computers are stretching it. Powers: Please, no magic. Characters: For cryin’ out loud, no ninjas (although pirates are acceptable) or time-travelers from the future. Or aliens. Normal, vaguely European-colonial (or vaguely African, if you decide to play one of the Forest People) human beings.
~No power-playing. Everybody can control non-player characters, but you cannot control other players’ characters.

Bunny Apocalypse, Part 6

As Part 5 drew to a close, new characters entered the fray, and the anti-leporine resistance seemed to have encountered a cabal of Sith Lords. Or something. It’s all terribly hard to swallow, um, follow.

Bunny Apocalypse, Part 5

Our biped heroes are still having a very bad day, but at least the evil hot-pink bunny William now looks slightly less than invincible (as well as considerably less pink).

Continued from Part Four.
