Muse Academy Holiday Party 2009

Welcome, dear friends, to our winter celebration! (Or summer should you be visiting from the Southern Hemisphere.) Find your way to the Grand Hall, up that slight rise over there, just follow the row of wrought-iron street lamps to the main door. Shake off the snow, leave your greatcoats, cloaks, and capes with the attendant. Take a moment to warm yourself by the fire and breathe deeply the mingling scents of cinnamon, chocolate, bayberry, and pine; linger; absorb; note the wandering hints of ginger and peppermint before entering the ballroom to behold such sights…. Oh, but pardon me, I am detaining you here in the cold when you must be eager to thaw yourselves in cozier surroundings. Go, then, and enjoy the sundry delights waiting to greet the fullness of your senses as you step into our Victorian wonderland…

The festivities last until the New Year. For more information, please see the Holiday Party Planning Thread.

The Floating, Underwater, Extraterrestrial, or Otherwise Exotic City Design Thread

Originally suggested by Rainbow, who said:

“At some point, conditions on Earth will make the planet an undesirable place to live. Luckily, we Musers will have planned ahead and built ourselves a floating city. The thread is for designing and discussing the city, similar to the “Mostly Harmless Theme Park” thread.”

By multiple requests: no role-playing.

Muse Academy May Day Ball 2009

It’s the biggest event of the academic year. The decorations are up, the food is ready, the musicians are practiced, rested, and in tune.

The ball lasts just a few hours in Musiverse time but unfolds over a whole month of blog time.

Formal attire required. Fortunately, all clothing is virtual and incredibly comfortable to wear.
