Holocaust Remembrance Day
By request of Headmaster Yoda.

Life, the universe, pies, hot-pink bunnies, world domination, and everything
It’s been a while since the last “Hot Topics” thread, and many new MBers have come on board. So let’s set aside a new place for topics that need careful handling and/or an extra dose of civility. Here you go.
It’s too mainstream a holiday to make it into our “Dates to Remember” sidebar, but some of you want to to talk about it, so here you go.
Requested by several MuseBloggers, most recently General Yoda. All kinds–whatever you listen to, whatever you like to play.
It’s coming up fast: you could almost hold your breath until the end of school. Then comes your chance to do some real reading–untrammeled, unfettered, free.
So…what’s on your list, and what do you recommend?
This falls into the category of “saying nice things about our friends,” but Robert has just finished reading book three of Larry’s Cartoon History of the Universe and just has to tell the world how utterly brilliant and wonderful it is. If you’re tired of memorizing lists of kings and wars for school and really want to understand how history works, this series is a must.
OK, end of rhapsody. (A rhapsody is like a rant, only complimentary.)
By popular request. This might be a good place to swap tips on printing stickers, too.
We really discourage this, but Brave Sir Robbin (Shana who…) feels so strongly about these that we’re making an exception.

Sorry, your GAPAs have no control over what goes into the magazine. You’ll have to submit them to the editors if you want them published.
Words you ♥, words you made up, names you’re curious about–step right up and verbalize. Just don’t reveal too much about your own names.
People have been complaining about their teachers a lot. But good ones do exist, and they make a huge difference. To give credit where credit is due, let’s hear about your favorites and what they’re doing right.
Many MuseBloggers belong to choirs or choruses, perform in musicals, or find other ways to use their voices for purposes other than talking. It’s clear that you’re bursting to discuss this topic, so… *blows into pitch pipe*
By popular request. We’re sure exactly what form this thread will take; that’s up to you. So rev up the time machine, and let’s go.
According to the Naval Observatory, the vernal equinox arrived at 1:26 p.m. U. S. Eastern time (12:26 p.m. MuseBlog time) today. The change of seasons may seem meaningless to you Californians and laughable to you Midwesterners, but officially, at least, it has happened.
Find out what other Musers think about whatever crosses your mind.
Uncle Al was born in 1879, so it’s his 127th birthday–in this frame of reference, anyway.
The creator of the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy series would have been 52 years old on Saturday the 11th.
A musepaper for newsers, by popular request (original idea by Kricket, name by Jadestone). We’re not sure whether you want to write news about the places where you live (carefully disguising local names, etc.) or to write news about the blog and the magazine, but we’re sure you’ll sort it out. Double pink-bunny bonus points for writing it in real newspaper style.
You’ve been talking about it (and posting its songs) all over the blog. Clearly this cultural phenomenon deserves a thread of its own.
Theodor Seuss Geisel would have turned 102 on Thursday, March 2. All hail the man who taught so many of us to read!
