Life, the universe, pies, hot-pink bunnies, world domination, and everything
Things that we’re embarrassed about liking, or embarrassed to admit that we like, but like anyway.
(We don’t know where this thread came from. It just seemed like a good idea.)
We have cleared the thread of comments in order to start afresh. Note that we mean what we say in the part of the introduction that states “MuseBlog Veterans: Please use this thread only to welcome newcomers as they arrive and answer questions that they ask.” In other words, do not post on the thread unless you are replying to a neophyte. If the thread stays empty, don’t worry about it.
Thank you.

Comments Off on ANNOUNCEMENT: Regarding “Welcome, Neophytes”
Welcome, dear friends, to our winter celebration! (Or summer should you be visiting from the Southern Hemisphere.) Find your way to the Grand Hall, up that slight rise over there, just follow the row of wrought-iron street lamps to the main door. Shake off the snow, leave your greatcoats, cloaks, and capes with the attendant. Take a moment to warm yourself by the fire and breathe deeply the mingling scents of cinnamon, chocolate, bayberry, and pine; linger; absorb; note the wandering hints of ginger and peppermint before entering the ballroom to behold such sights…. Oh, but pardon me, I am detaining you here in the cold when you must be eager to thaw yourselves in cozier surroundings. Go, then, and enjoy the sundry delights waiting to greet the fullness of your senses as you step into our Victorian wonderland…
The festivities last until the New Year. For more information, please see the Holiday Party Planning Thread.
This thread is a place for careful, clear, respectful discussions of difficult topics. It is not a place for having two-fisted no-holds-barred discussions.
MBers should be able to express their opinions without attacking others personally, and be able to listen to people who disagree with them without feeling personally attacked.
Easier said than done, of course. But MuseBlog is a good place to practice trying.

They’re up! Check them out at Muse-ry Loves Company. The main section contains items with the signature design only. The sub-sections have other designs on the front and signatures on the back. If you have specific requests let us know. Unfortunately, dark t-shirts cannot be printed on the back, so two-sided items are available only in light colors.
*Role-Playing Game.
Note: This RPG is of or pertaining to magic, though not necessarily magical in its own right. It’s also continued.
An RPG, continued from Part 2. If you haven’t been following it, however, you’ll never catch up now.
Has it really been a whole year since the last time we said that? It seems impossible, but logic tells us it must be so. Have a wonderful holiday, everybody*!
*Those living in countries that don’t celebrate American-style Thanksgiving should give it a try; it’s very nice. And Canadians have our permission (and wholehearted encouragement) to celebrate it again. It’s party time!
Here’s a sneak preview of the layouts before we upload the final artwork to CaféPress. Read more »

Volunteers for the organizing committee, please report here.
This online daydream started with a comment by oxlin:
Bah. I’m sick of society. I want to go live in a shack somewhere with Teal and not pollute and eat mushrooms and herbs we gather and carrots we grow and draw and write and be happy.
For the benefit of those who weren’t around then, here is the conversation that followed, leading to the creation of the original thread: Read more »

Continued from Part 3.
The year is 2020. The heroes: a few dozen young men and women, most in their late 20s. Fifteen years earlier, four friendly-seeming but mysterious people gathered them on what was then known as the World Wide Web, dropped hints about an important destiny or mission they were to fulfill, and then vanished. Over the years, some of the group kept in touch; others drifted apart. Now a great danger has brought them all back together again…
