Sidebar Advertisements?

Yesterday Kittymine reported:
((GAPA’s: URGENT MESSAGE- SOMEONE HAS POSTED A WHOLE BUNCH OF STUFF ABOVE THE USUAL SIDEBAR.))

And Groundhog amplified:
…it’s on the sidebar, above the calendar. It looks a lot like the “Most Recent Posts” list, except that it doesn’t have a header. It’s a list of “buy this, buy that” sort of stuff. I’m not going to mention what they wanted you to buy, it’s kind of inappropriate. It’s not showing up on my laptop either, but I can confirm that it was showing up on our family’s computer.

Does anybody else see what they’re seeing? The GAPAs don’t, and our Web host says our site’s code seems to be in order. If it’s just Groundhog and Kittymine, then it seems likely that their computer has been infected and they need to run some anti-virus software.

If you ever see advertising of any kind on the blog, please let us know, because we certainly won’t have put it there.

Our Windows on the World

Axa brought up the idea: “I always thought it’d be cool if we all took a picture of what the sky looked like outside our respective windows/houses (no scenery for the most part) but I think it’s be too much work for the GAPAs. And maybe boring? I dunno, I like stuff like that.”

Later in the conversation she added, “It sounds like windows are the window to the soul then, huh? haha. It’s definitely interesting to see things that are commonplace for someone else, how they perceive things.”

Why don’t we try it with verbal descriptions? You could even describe what you’d like to see. (But tell us about your real-world view first.)

A Very MuseBlog Valentine

Raynpho sent this cheerful reminder that Valentine's Day is about more than couples and ugly little putti. We all know it's about HPBs. (And [insert your favorite spelling of cacao-based foodstuffs here].)

Robert’s Time Capsule: Chronicles of Prussiania, cont.

Prussiania was an imaginary country that Robert and some of his friends concocted when they were Muser age (decades before Muse, alas). You can read more about it on the previous Time Capsule thread.

Now, rarity of rarities, Prussianian records are starting to come to light. Here are a couple that Robert found in one of his old school notebooks:
