As promised, here is the long awaited time travel RRR,* requested by Prarilius Canix, with enthusiastic support from E2MB and others.

Prarilius Canix proposed this basis for time travel theory:

At each moment, there are several thousand possibilities. Right now, just to mention three: I will continue typing this comment and post it; a giant rock will fall on my head and kill me, preventing me from posting it; or a lunatic from the future will pop out of a wormhole or other time machine and smash my computer. The first possibility took place in this universe, but the other two took place in parallel universes. If you go back in time and alter the past, you will create another parallel universe.

MontgomeryGurl determined there were six generations of MuseBloggers when she did the first list in March, 2006. Blog time moves quickly, and Alice has identified thirteen generations since the dawn.

Yes, I used MontgomeryGurl’s dates for the first five generations, since I wasn’t around in the beginning and therefore wouldn’t make a very good judge of where to place generations. After that I pretty much played it by ear. –Alice

There’s been a clamor for a dog thread, a cat and dog thread . . . well, we know where that can lead. Besides, we like all kinds of animals and MBers have an assortment of pets, so why stop there?

(We could have been consistent and called this Pets 2007.1, since there was a Pets thread in 2006, but we felt the urge to alliterate. And we’re simply not all that consistent. Anyway, there’s no need to restrict the discussion to pets, so a different title makes sense after all.)

The summer blockbuster, continued.

The year is 2020. The heroes: a few dozen young men and women, most in their late 20s. Fifteen years earlier, four friendly-seeming but mysterious people gathered them on what was then known as the World Wide Web, dropped hints about an important destiny or mission they were to fulfill, and then vanished. Over the years, some of the group kept in touch; others drifted apart. Now a great danger has brought them all back together again…
